You should change the name of your restaurant to heaven. Your food is glorious and your staff are a bunch of the coolest guys ever. I've been handing your menu out to all my friends trying to get them to go out and give you guys a try. Thank you for being awesome. 5/5 would eat again and again.

The name is quite accurate. Friendly staff, hole-in-the-wall place is unassuming but the food quality is on par with bigger places in the city. Staff is always friendly and the menu actually shows price. Would rather go here than baraka 10 times out of 10.
This is where I had my first donair. Better than i expected, will drop by whenever I'm around. Wait time isn't so bad, it a acceptable. Only donair place i know.
Went here when I was waiting for Fusion Gaming to open. And the aromas coming out of this place was just so inviting so I had to go in and get some grub.
It's just a tiny hole in the wall but the guy behind the counter was super friendly you could tell he loves talking to people.

My family always orders takeout from here its really good. The garlic sauce is THE BEST garlic sauce ever !!!!! I always get the schwarma never tried anything else because all i ever want is the schwarma.
New ownership? Quality seems to have gone down a bit with less filling and less care put into the Donair. Less friendly up front too and missing some familiar faces.
Tiny little take-out joint with a table or two. Great, friendly staff. So accommodating and so excited to make sure you get everything you want and then some. We always get a donair plate to-go. For $12, it's totally worth it! Bf and always share 1 plate and feel satisfied. Portions are awesome. Meat is amazing. Hummus is smooth and garlic sauce is so good that we ask for extra every time. Was sad they ran out of tabouli last time I went, cuz it's delicious. Falafel is also great. Didn't like the kebab as much as the kofta (kofta was more flavourful)... oily but so good. Honestly, we love this place more than Baraka. Try it. It's hard to beat.

Probably the best donair and shawarma I've had in the city. The meats were moist and flavourful. The wraps we're packed with fresh vegetables and loaded with a flavourful sauce. The portion sizes are large, but that doesn't distract you from the amazing quality.
The owner was very friendly and personable. He made suggestions to what he think we'd like and made the donairs catered to our tastes.
Their name does not lie, this is the best donair in the city. The men that work their are wonderful and the food is even better. I've had the donair platter, the spinach pie, the chicken biryani, the donair pizza and garlic sauce on everything. This place is definitely worth the drive.
Best donair I've had since my time in Germany (the Germans call them 'doner'). Don't let the look of the shop turn you off, the donair was amazing and you MUST try a side of the barbecue chicken wings. The wings themselves aren't the biggest but the barbecue sauce is like nothing else I've ever had. Sweet and kind of garlicy with just the right amount of heat. Just awesome. Found the place online and drove 25 minutes from the airport Marriott because I was craving a donair so badly and was not disappointed.

The owners need a second place because this tiny joint is a true gem! I was with my very hungry son and we needed a place to go that was his school. So it was a toss up between Chinese, Korean, or this place which I've always wanted to try. It was the closest and we were both very glad we did. There are 2 tiny tables and a bar table with stools. There was a small line up which was good as it gave us time to figure out what we wanted. The menu has pictures to help but I wanted a platter so the gentleman said "no problem I'll make you happy" and I truly was. I had a lamb kabob platter with rice, light garden salad, humus and curried potatoes with the garlic, tahini, and hot sauce which I'm pretty sure it was Frank's Hot Sauce ( would have loved something more authentic though). It was sooooo flavorful and light and fresh! I loved every bite! My son had the donair and it was HUGE the biggest I've ever seen and we tried a bit and it was delish. The gentleman were so lovely and charming I was thinking how to trade family members for them....fantastic food. Fantastic people. I wished they delivered or they were closer as I would be a weekly regular. $30 with tax tip and I bought some homemade picked turnip slices and it was completely worth every penny! Highly recommend this establishment !

I can safely say these guys probably have the best donair pizza. Wouldn't know where else to get one though. Huge portions, Tasty food. The same guy who always greets me at 3 am after a night of drinking is super friendly and is genuinely happy to have our business. I usually take my donair outside as they are messy and there's probably only 10 chairs to sit inside. They hand out suckers too...probably to cover up your thick garlic breath. Its the garlic sauce that makes the donair.
Dropped by for a Donair sandwich with sweet sauce and a cheese pie. Cheese pie was scrumptious and I would go back to try their Biryani it shows as being new on the menu. Their Donair filled me up with all the meat it contained my only downside was that the pita broke apart and was very thin. Still not enough reason for me to buy one from this place again. I think they can Dona better job of cleanliness though.
The chicken shawarma is the best I've ever had, but be forewarned, the garlic sauce on it is super-garlicky. I always think about my schedule for the rest of the day before I eat here because I don't want to breathe toxic garlic breath on unsuspecting friends and associates.
Wow! Had shawarma in Toronto and thought it was just OK. Just had a shawarma platter (chicken) from here and it was AMAZING! Very generous portions, very tasty and filling. A little salty, but it went down great with a beer (says my hubby). Definitely coming back when we're in the Fort Garry area again. Thanks for great take out!
One of the best places in Winnipeg to get donairs/shawarmas and one of our favourite restaurants in general. Super tasty and generously sized wraps, combined with some of the best & consistent customer service in the city. The Donair Pizza is a delicious splurge too. Great prices, late hours, friendly staff. We recently moved to the other side of the city, but it's always worth the trip when we get a craving!!
Omg so yummy! Best falafel in the city. Whenever we can't decide where to eat, we always can decide on Best Pizza & Donair. The Falafel pitas are so delicious and vegan! I suggest the rice with hot sauce and tahina. Always very fresh and satisfying! Would recommend many times over.
I honestly crave the shawarma sandwich with garlic and a little sweet sauce!!! It's the best! The hummus, lemon potato, salad is amazing all together too!
I preferably always order the donair platter. Always wonderful with an array of sauces. We always get free lollipops who can complain about that. Customer service is great! Small but busy but always welcoming. They make their own garlic, tzaziki, a wonderful sweet sauce that goes well with everything. Will always return!
Always good, always consistent with excellent robust flavour. My family gets take out dinner here at least once a week. Staff is very friendly and helpful they are a delight every time I visit.
When we lived in the area it was our go-to place for a quick bite to eat. Their donairs/shawarmas remind me of the ones from Ottawa. They do not skimp on the meat and the fixings! I get their donair but ask for shawarma filling instead - so turnips, pickles, and garlic sauce, not the sickly sweet donair sauce. It's bomb.
Service is so friendly and prompt. This place is packed so call ahead to get your takeout order.

I like this place not only because of the very friendly and helpful staff, but also because of their good food. I would recommend the Donair Platter, and Chicken Shawarma, and they also have the best garlic sauce!
Small, friendly place with delicious donair. First timer there, so the staff explained some things to me. Allowed me to sample the sauces so I could decide but in the end I liked both the garlic and sesame so they gave me a mix. The donair was chock full of deliciousness; so big, I had to bring some home. They have a new menu item called kushari, an Egyptian dish, which they allowed me to sample. It contains pasta, chickpeas, crispy meat and was also very good. There is a small area in which to eat on site but it isn't fancy. That's probably why the prices are so reasonable.
Best Pizza and Donair is hands down the best place to get your donairs! I have been here on several occasions. The owner is very nice and always greets you with a smile. When getting the donair, you must get it with garlic sauce! I don't know what their secret is in making it or what goes into it other than garlic, but that stuff is addictive! The donair is generously filled with vegetables and meat (which will surely keep you full). I have also tried their (HUGE) chicken calzone, which is also quite good. The calzone is filled with tandoori chicken, coleslaw and mayo, and comes with that garlic sauce for dipping.
Always great. Friendly fast service. If you are going over dinner time you will wait. All good things come to those who wait.

Awesome food. I have the schwarma platter, it was delicious. I saw a coworker eating the food, smelt it and immediately went to buy my lunch. Delicious! So much food, I'm still full and it's dinner time. Friendly staff, sure it's a bit slow but whatever, get some patience people. It only took about 5-10 minutes for mine.
Salads and sauces are really good. I also like the calzones. The chicken shawarma can be a little bit dry at times. All in all, it's a good amount of food for the amount you're paying.

Hidden Gem!. Best Pizza & Donair is hands down my favourite Donair restaurant in town. The food is amazing, and the staff are always very nice. The restaurant itself has about 2 tables, but definitely try it for take out! Never been let down from this place!

Have eaten here several times but have only tried the beef/lamb donair. It is very good, the pita and veg tastes fresh and the meat is hot and nicely seasoned. Thankful to have a donair place in the south end of the city.
Best donair. I'm a big fan of the donair, so was happy to have this place recommended by a friend. We started going for the donairs, but have discovered their pizza. They've been kind enough to make me a single topping pizza, with donair meat. I get it with only the cheese and meat, with no pizza sauce. It's much more affordable than the donair pizza price. (by nearly $10) We get the sweet sauce on the side and slather it on when we get home.....in Crestview. It's a thirty minute drive, but worth it. We'll often get two zas. One to eat fresh, and the other for "leftovers"......now I gotta go get me one:)
Tried the sandwich option today ( and liked it better than the platter platters come with everything laid out with a few extras). The shawarma was succulent and juicy with just the right amount of sauce and condiments. After a long day of work this was just what I needed. They also have some nice drinks in the cooler called Barbaco (not sure on the spelling) and they are nice too. Try the pineapple one; it's not to sweet and doesn't leave you thirsty unlike other sugary drinks. The kebab has a strong lamb smell to it so therefore I chose the chicken option. My gf who prefers lamb loved it. Great little place that ill be visiting more often.
Vegetarian OPTION. Falafel was good, but not better than Falafel place. So if you're in this part of the City and want falafel, go for it!
Staff are really friendly too.
Great Middle Eastern Option. I went for lunch with a colleague, and was happily impressed.
We each had the shawarma platter.
Goods: Chicken was moist and tasty, tabouli was excellent, pita was fresh, and hummus was delish
Bads: Garlic sauce, though tasty, was a funny jelly consistency, and there was WAY too much of it. Regular lettuce salad was out of place - I would have preferred something a bit more original, or at least dressed with something tasty.
Overall: I'll be back!

Amazing!. I'd driven by this place several times on the way home from work and mistakenly thought it would be one of those establishments that served a bit of everything but did none of them really well. I couldn't have been more wrong. We opted to go for a chicken shawarma and a donair with the garlic sauce instead of the sweet sauce. Both were packed with flavour, and included very generous portions of meat. The meat in both was tender and juicy as opposed to dry which can often be the case with both donairs and shawarama. The pita was fresh, the shawarma had just the right amount of pickle, the garlic sauce was very creamy. I would warn people though that it is very garlicky, which is fine with me, but may not be suited to those who are not a fan of garlic or have issues with heart burn. We both wanted to turn around and order again upon finishing.
Service was friendly and attentive, it took about ten minutes total from the time of placing our order to receiving our food. While they do have bar stools at a counter and a small table, I would say this is more of a take out establishment, as the space is very small and diners would likely feel crowded. This is definitely going to be a regular stop for me.
Get the donair or shawarma, skip the lamb kebab. I've been here many times and always love the donair with sweet sauce (I usually ask for less sauce cuz they tend to put a lot and i'm not a fan of sweet in general). The chicken shawarma is great too, but the lamb kebab is a bit dry and lacking flavor. I want to try their donair pizza next time, or the falafel. Overall, great for a quick lunch and good price too!

I went into the store Saturday, there was a teenage boy and a mid age girl working together, I went into the line, ordered a donair sandwich, as I have before at the restaurant, they are usually fine, cooked, and very packed with meat, and sauce. when I spoke to the boy running the till he was very polite speaking, very organized. after he had dealt with my money. he went and washed his hands, like every restaurant should do, and grabbed a pair of gloves, he make my donair for me, as he handed it to me, he told me he would garentee, I would be back. I told him I had been there a few times, after I ate my meal, let me tell you, best thing I have ever tasted, best made donair I have ever had, 39 years of living and it was the best donair I have had, I told the young boy and girl after that they did very good. I ordered another one for myself to take home and ill for sure be back like they garented, I recommend trying the donair sandwich to anyone who hasn't been there, and lets get this company franchised
If your in the southend and in the market for this style or food your in look as it's its your only choice. If you stop try the platters I found it to be alot food at ok price. They go alittle crazy with sauces just a heads up. I rank them ahead of Shawarma Khan, similar to Shawarma time (less authentic however) Still the best in the city is Baraka pita bakery on north main, it's a good hike but worth the drive.

Really Good- But a Bit Inconsistent. We've had takeout about 3-4 times- since the 1st time, the price for the chicken shwarma/donair platter take out boxes has increased about $1.50 from $10 to $11.50. It seems to be a IMPROVEMENT though for the price and we still highly recommend you give this small joint a try. The chicken/donair meat is generous for the $ and deliciously marinated-not dry , but flavourful and moist. The rice is decent, large enough quantity. There is a pleasant parsley/minty salad, a big pile of hummus, a lettuce salad plus some picked turnips and nice and strong garlic sauce. (they will give you extra in a little container if you ask!- it's is FABULOUS if you love garlic- a nice strong authentic taste, not mild and wimpy if you care about bad breath) You also get 2 wedges of pita bread.
They have some interesting persian?glass bottle malt sodas with a bunch of different flavours. Good number of choices.
When the boxes were cheaper, we came across a lot of inconsistencies- once the rice was super sour and undercooked, sometimes the lettuce salad was extrememly skimpy, sometimes there's a sweet sauce on the donair meat, sometimes none. (we like the meat without the sauce though)
We really hope this place figures out how to stay consistent, although for the price- we will take the chance again in a heartbeat! Please keep up the good work!
Simply the Best. Hands down, the best i have ever tasted anywhere. will def come back. The sweet sauce was something i have missed from the east coast. This place is family owned and makes me feel home everytime i go there. keep up the good job guys.
MMM DONAIR.. The Donair was excellent. I went twice and depending who's working one donair had so much beef in it I couldn't finish it and the other was about half the size:S. The second time I went there were about 6 people ahead of me it took at least 20 minutes to get my donair so be aware if your in a rush.
Hello Haloom. Excellent Schwarma and the Haloom cheese pie is a real treat. I found the falafel a bit dry for my taste, though it's a very authentic take on the dish. Hubby loves the donair. Says it's like the kind he used to have as a kid in Montreal - a sweet, rather than garlicky sauce. The people working there seem very nice, too. With only two tables and a few window seats, it's pretty much a take-away place. The malted pop is also delish, especially the apple one.
AMAZING!. My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try Best Pizza & Donair for quite some time. The quality of the food is amazing. We've eaten at a few eateries that feature donair, kebabs,etc. in Montréal and France that I've thoroughly enjoyed and Best Pizza & Donair is definetely at the top. Everything was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend them. Love it

First visit: I asked Ahmed if an $8 shawarma was going to be worth it, and he made sure I was satisfied! He offered me all the groceries and I said YES. Picked turnip was a nice suprise, everything was fresh, not greasy, and all the sauces hit the mark. Great job Ahmed and co.-I'll be back to the try the donair next.

Say yes to the Shawarma. I have had Shawarma from I think all the outlets in Winnipeg. All of them have been good but this one is a bit better. I sampled Shawarma at Halifax's best - Winnipeg has better Shawarma. The Donairs are good too, the sauce has a nice sweetness to it. The pitas used are fresh and tender, a good compliment. I am spoiled by someone else's Falafel so I won't go into that. I'm up to a Shawarma a week now.
These foods are a welcome change from fast food junk and terrible over priced under value Subs.
This place is great! Forget about the dumb name and get a donair with hot sauce or pizza sauce, you won't regret it.

Why did we wait so long?. I'd seen this place mentioned on here a couple of times but I admit, after seeing a few places claim to have a decent donair and then arriving to find out what they were actually selling was a pita containing 3 slivers of gyro meat, I just really wasn't in a rush to meet disappointment head on again. Tonight we opted to go and try it and I am so glad we did. Hubby and I both had the donair. For just 20 dollars even, we had both donairs, a can of coke, and a bottle of water. Great value. It's actually phenomenal value when you take into account that when they hand the bag of food over to you, you can literally tell from the weight of it that they have ensured these donairs are crammed full of goodness. The meat is cooked to perfection and is packed into the donairs in HUGE pieces that you can really get your teeth into. I did however have problems wrapping my mouth around it! The lettuce, tomato and onions were all wonderfully fresh (and crisp where appropriate) and the sweet sauce is simply delish. It's the best Donair I've experienced from a restaurant and now that we have found this place, it's going to be a regular haunt for us. I can't wait to try their Donair pizza next. The service was fantastic, the staff are very friendly and chatty, extremely welcoming. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

The sauce is really great too!! The shawarma's are also really good. The service is great and the staff are very friendly. I would really recommend this place if you are around Fort garry.
Tasty Shawarma chicken included moist chicken and flavorful but mild sauce. Falafel wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. It was a bit dry, and the balls lacked crispness. Prices are high compared to other Shawarma in the city, but they were generous enough with the chicken that the higher price was somewhat acceptable.
