The platter apps were good. You have options to choose from 3, 4 or more appetizers on their menu at reasonable price. We chose the 4 appetizers from the menu at $40.00 and enjoyed the night away while watching Jet's game. Platter price varies depends how many apps you want. Our server was very attentive to our needs. Fast and friendly service. Parking can be a bit of a challenge on a Friday busy night. Be back.
Came here for wings we have heard positive reviews on. Is nice that the special is all day Thursday and not just after 4pm. We got electric honey and tapps house sauce. Wings were big and juicy with tasty sauce although the tapps house wings could have had more sauce on them, they were scantily sauced. Also tried the cauliflower “wings” with the apple mesquite sauce on the side. They were small and crunchy but the batter was a bit too thick and heavy, it was hard to taste cauliflower underneath there. All in all we would return and also appreciated the drink specials.
Awesome spot! Went to watch a Jets game. Lots of TVs. Food was awesome - not just your typical bar fare! Plenty of friendly, capable staff on hand to ensure that the full house was well looked after. Will definitely be back. Only downside was the full parking lot, but now we know why!
7 from our supper club went to Tapps last night. I thought the food and service were great. I had the Big Boy burger with fries. Homemade yummy thick patti with bacon, sautéed mushrooms and cheese sauce. Burger was messy but fantastic. Fries were crunchie and also excellent. Everyone else enjoyed there food too. Chicken fingers, buffalo chicken sandwich, nachos, wings and a taco salad. All the plates were empty. Service was excellent as well.
Just stopped into Tapp's pub to meet a friend for a drink and some appetizers.

One downfall was the bud light buzzer would not light up when the Jets scored a goal during the jets game.
Tapp's is one of my favourite spots when I want to grab a quick bite and a drink with friends. The atmosphere is great, although it can get a little loud. I love their spinach dip and fried pickles! They also have a huge selection of flavours for their wings.
My husband and I went here for lunch the other day, and we shared an order of fried pickles, then we each had our own bacon cheeseburger and fries.
The variety of burgers on the menu was interesting, and they were all fairly different enough that I already want to return to try them all.
The fried pickles were slightly over-brown, but the batter and dipping sauce were flavourful and held on well to the pickles (they were also served in a cute mini fryer basket).
The burgers had a warm fluffy bun with fresh toppings. My husband bit in right away and said "you can tell they make their own patties, and maybe grind the meat themselves", and I agreed. The burger was however kind of sloppy and messy, but I'd rather that than an underdressed, dry burger.
Lastly, I must say that the fries were soooo unbelievably good! They had some sort of coating on the outside and they were fluffy and slightly sweet on the inside.
I will definitely be back to watch a game or for a burger and a drink!
I thought the food, drinks and personable experience was amazing. Courtney is an amazing server even on the busiest game nights. Way better than the other pubs and restaurants in town ! Highly recommended to any sports fan in Winnipeg !!
We come here after work all the time and we would never go anywhere else. The food is awesome and our glasses are never empty. The waitresses here are the best especially my favorite Courtney.
I stopped by after work for wings and beer had great service as always from Mel hogan! She's always very friendly and an awesome waitress! Always recommend tapps and will keep coming back.

Wow!! I come to tapps all the time and always have great service from the girls, but service today from mel hogan was almost as amazing as her bum. Seriously guys. If your down. It will pick you up.

Nice sports bar. . The Jets were playing,.There wasn't any tables, so I had to sit at the bar.. I was amazed at how loud that it had gotten when the Jets scored. Although I was a bit sceptical sitting at the bar, the service was great !

Awesome place. Go to in the neighborhood. Great food, cold beer, awesome staff. Only thing that's weird is I was just planning on ordering some of their awesome wings for movie night with the ol lady and I couldn't find a menu online anywhere! Have no idea what's up with that. It's 2014 lol

The only thing they really have going for them is the wings are awesome and at the right price on Sundays which is why I like it.

Excellent place , great for watching a game or just chilling wit people. Service was really good from all waitress and bartenders. Just had Amy serve me my food and my Thai salad was great . Had a lot of the food here and it's always good esp. If your in the mood for wing night.
My pal & I came by Taps tonight for a couple beer & sports on TV. We were able to see NFL football & multiple NHL games in HD. I t wait to go back!
Wing Night's Alright!. Holy Cow we had a good time with a variety of delicious wings and a giant pitcher of Bud with 3 taps! Our server, Mel Hogan was even hotter than the wings and super fun. She certainly enhanced a great time out with the boys after golf.
Love coming here after work. Food is great. Service is great. Atmosphere is great. Recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and have a fun nite watching football, hockey or whatever sport you enjoy. Servers are great as well especially Courtney.
WOW, I could spend all evening here.......... First of all, I have read allot of reviews complaining about "bad service" and "unfriendly" waiters. HOLD ON PEOPLE..... This is a sports pub, from what I experience the service was great. Don't come here expecting a quiet sit down dinner with the old lady. Come for beer, booze, great food and to catch the game... The tap beer selection was good and quick on service. The food was great quality pub food... I had a fresh high quality burger that literally fall apart in your hand.. "very juicy and messy" Sitting at the bar, I could view the grill. To my surprise this joint had a very professional kitchen crew that puts allot of pride in their menu... I look forward to visiting again 5 Stars.....

Great Atmosphere Decent Wings. I read where this place had been voted best chicken wings and best pub...according to the Winnipeg Sun. That prompted me to pay them a visit. The place looks very nice...the wings were decent...but hardly the best I have ever had in Winnipeg.
As a sports bar, it is a very nice set up. Very well appointed and a lot of television sets to watch the games. The seats were comfortable and despite being crowded (on a Monday!), we could all hear each other.
The server was friendly and the food and drinks were brought out quite quickly. She was also quick with refills. This was impressive given how busy they were.
I ordered the sweet chili as well as salt and pepper wings. The wings were on the large side. That is always a big plus. I believe they are around $9-10 per pound. The sweet chili were not drenched in sauce, but there was more than enough to reflect the spicy, sweet flavour. I enjoyed them. The salt and pepper wings didn't have much flavour in terms of seasoning. They tasted more like a plain wing. One of the group let me try their mango chipotle wings and it tasted like neither mango or chipotle. It was similar in flavour to the salt and pepper. The chicken was kind of dry, but not horrendously so. Another member of the group had some kind of blueberry sauced wing and said it was delicious. There are a number of flavours. I'm beginning to think they are hit and miss.
If I am in the area, I will likely give this place another try, but I wouldn't drive halfway across the city again just to eat here.
Quick bite. I went to Tapps on Good Friday for a quick bite to eat and it was open late at night. I have to say that I was impressed by the service and the good pub grub. I had the mushrooms with pita. It was very good. The place was quite busy but the wait times were good and the service personable. I would go again for sure.

After a major disappointment at wild wing (see review) we decided to go to our usual spot for wings. Tapps. Unfortunately when we get our orders of wings, 2 out of 4 orders are cold. So we bring this to our waitresses attention. She offers to take them back which we decline because our previous experience left us very hungry. Shortly after this a manager shows up at the table with an apology and suggestions on how she would like to help. She does not walk away until we she knows we are pleased. About 10mins later a second manager comes over (again apologies) and also does not leave till he knows we have been taken care of and are content. We weren't really mad about the cold wings, it sucked but it was busy and we just wanted to bring it to the waitresses attention. She took it upon herself to bring it to the manager(s). Not sure of her name (shoulder length blond hair, star tattooed on left inside wrist) Great customer service on this occasion all around. Everyone wanted to make sure we left happy. For this i thank you, because we did. Won't be bothering with other places, we will stick to Tapps where they actually care about their customers and the wings taste great (even cold).
Great spot for a pint & wings. Fantastic atmosphere, and great service. In particular Mel J goes the extra mile. Amazing recall memory for our beer and food orders. FANTASTIC JOB!!

And me say ... FEEDING TIME! Me loooove da chicken wing and me see SOOO MANY flavours. ME also very thirsty and in ME spare time me roll rocks down the street so me order ROLLING ROCK BEER. Mmm taste so good and so FRESH! Then model waitress bring me da chicken wings and ME TASTE BUDS start to PARTY! Deliciousness! Then me have to go home... :(... ME LOVE TAPPS!
Love Wing Nights. Come here often for Wing Night. Excellent wings, large selection of flavours to choose from. Rest of the menu is okay, a bit over priced and uninspiring, but no where else can beat their wings on wing night.
Easily the best sports bar in Winnipeg... If you're their for food, ANY game and personable service... A must!
Great Service. Sure I like it because of the distance to my work and home but there are some other options for me too. The service is always amazingly top notch. Getting to know names and mgmt always coming around shows that they care. Wing nights are great and the atmosphere for the Jets Games are awesome!

Great food! Great variety!. I've been to Tapp's about 5-6 times over the last year and every time I've gone the food has been excellent. I've tried their pizza, the Cactus Cuts, the Overloaded Burger and of course their world class wings. Great service. Managers are always around asking how things are going. I'll be back. Again and again.
My boyfriend and I love it! It's close to home and convenient with tast food and a decent beer/draft selection. Perfect local pub. The only downfall is sometimes slow service and the food you have to wait quite a while at times, but if you go with the right company, you don't mind as much.
Nice place 2nd time going there. Great service all ages present it's a real neighborhood pub. I wish there was more of these around the city. Food was a little over cooked but fast service and good drinks. Wanna keep me happy fast drinks will always make up for little problems
Good food and service. Stopped in for a beer and some eats after a long day. I ordered a burger, and my buddy had the cactus cuts and a caesar salad. The food came out in good time, and was perfect. Our server was friendly and very attentive despite being quite busy. Will def be back!

Love this place. When I go there it's always pack for the jets game. Although the last time I went there there was no game. The food I ordered was great (wings) and my wife had a burger, the service was something. It made us feel relaxed, we were not rushed but at the same time not rushed. We liked it, we will be back!
Beer and wings joint. Excellent choice for after work beer and wings. Many choices of beers and wing flavours, the food is hot and tasty, the wait staff is attentive and the pub is clean and well decorated. I will return to kick back after work. I do find that the hockey games are broadcasted at a deafening decibel levels. Bring ear plugs and don't expect conversation if the jets are playing.
Wings. I love this place they have like 30 flavors for wing but the Jamaican jerk and the blueberry habanero are amazing and they let you mix and match your order! great place to have a beer and watch the game too
Excellent!. At first I was reluctant to go because I remember the bar that used to be in this location, The Dak, and it was
a dump. Tapp's is a great spot!!! There are enough tv's for everyone to see whichever game is being played, the food is excellent (with the exception of the thai salad...good but bland, needs a bit of kick and a bit more flavour), the servers (Audrey and Mel H) are very friendly and they come around often enough for all my refills (there are many), and the atmosphere/decor is great. We had pizza and wings one night which were both amazing and the salad with more wings the next visit. Our favourite wing flavours were the redhot stripe and blueberry bbq.
Blueberry Wings!!!!!!!!. Tapp's is one of our favorite places to go! I have gotten so many people addicted to their Blueberry wings! Sounds strange I know but they are absolutely a necessity on friday nights. Dont expect the worlds greatest service though, waitresses are nice but you can tell they are super frustrated with their surroundings. Not a great first impression, but if you are a regular like I am... Tapps is truly a gem!! Just order their blueberry wings the very first time you go, you will be addicted!
