Came here with my family and we all really enjoyed the experience. The decor is modern and everything was clean. They need a bit more sound absorption in the room but otherwise it’s nice and the chairs are very comfortable. The food was all so good. No one had any complaints and everyone loved their cocktails. The rose chicken and gnocchi was divine and so rich. The pizzas were the real stars though. I was weary of honey on pizza but there definitely wasn’t anything to worry about. Will absolutely be back.
Two words...God Father!!!! A friend of mine told me I just had to come try this pizza and I'm sure glad I did! Who would ever have thought of putting honey on a pizza? Well it's to die for delicious! This place is actually very nice, great atmosphere and a great little patio as well. All of the food around me looked incredible so I can't wait to come back and try more things even though it will be hard not to order The God Father again!
Came here on date night last night. This was our first stop of the evening so we didn't order a ton. Decided to get the "Brooklyn" pizza to share. Yum! Loved the crust and the sauce. The toppings were quite tasty too. Will be returning for more pizza in the future for sure!
Teo's/MaM was a fun little side trip and I was excited to find that it will be a place to which I would love to return!
The red sangria ($7) was sweet and summery and absolutely perfect. I would have had a dozen if it were possible. We also tried the Gamberetti pizza ($21) which had lovely cheese, great garlic flavour, and the shrimp pieces were perfectly cooked adding tiny bites of decadently sweet pops of perfect shrimp flavour. I have never had a better cooked shrimp in my life. And to find it on a pizza no less!
Prices were a little high for what you got but the flavour was extremely high so it depends on how you weight the value of your meal as to whether or not you will be pleased with your choice. I enjoyed my treat and will definitely return.
Service on the patio was a little slow and somehow only one of the two waters on the table was ever refilled. Only a few small changes would definitely allow me to give the place a 4.5 but I think a 5 is unattainable just based on a (very slightly) inflated price to value.
Regardless, give it a try! Your mouth will be happy you did!
Good atmosphere, love the patio. For a place with this great of a patio, more appetizer selections would be a bonus since I wouldn't always want to go for dinner. Good sangria as well.
I can't count how many times I've enjoyed Manos Pizzas, pastas, and appetizers.
They are consistent and delicious. Nice comf patio, beautiful servers and live music.
Me and the girlfriend checked out Mano a Mano for Le Burger Week. The patio on Corydon was a great place for a beer and burger on a sunny day. The burger patty was slightly on the dry side, but the sauce and the black truffle cheese made up for it. The server was friendly and recommended another burger week burger to check out. I am looking forward to going back and checking out the pizza.

Really nice outdoor patio! Service was less than to be desired, but drinks and appetizers were good. A little pricey, but good for once in a while.
This used to be the Red Cactus and Civita at one point. We decided to give it a try last Friday night. We were seated right away at the patio and our server was very friendly. We ordered for a bottle of white wine while browsing the menu. I ordered for the freta mare pasta and we had choices of what kind of pasta you want to go with the meal. I picked the rigatoni while my friend ordered for the stuffed shells pasta couldn't remember the Italian name on the menu as I couldn't say it properly- LOL.The food came in a timely manner but didn't like my rigatoni as it was big and very thick all I could taste was flour. It could have been better if I chose the spaghetti pasta to go with my seafood. The best part it was loaded with seafood-big shrimps, squid and scallops which I enjoyed. My friend's meal enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed mine. We stayed for awhile after our meal and ordered for another drinks and enjoyed the nice busy patio. Overall, nice place fast and friendly service.
Sat on the patio twice at this restaurant.
First time, our waitress was absolutely horrible - super snooty and didn't even seem to want to serve us. We were having too much fun to care too much, plus the drinks and appetizers were fantastic.
The second time was MUCH better. Our waitress was very nice and I got the margherita pizza and granny apple salad. Both were delicious and exactly what I would expect. Definitely will return!
Had dinner last night and were surprised. Excellent gnocchi & pasta. Four cheese sauce to die for. Drinks very reasonable, pasta priced a bit above average. All in all, 2 dinners, 1 salad, 4 drinks $80 inc tip. Good service. Patio has been extended into the street for summer. Good idea, too bad Winnipeg is so far behind the times with ideas like their street patio. The gnocchi just melt in your mouth. We will return.
Mano A Mano. Very nice atmosphere and the food was excellent.
The service was also very good and the cost was reasonable.
I would recommend this restaurant.
Unique. It was hard to find the proper door to enter the restaurant, but once inside all was good. There are only 3 items on the menu for complete dinner meals but the two we had were very good. Recommend the pickerel with cous cous. Very tasty and unique. The chicken meal was also very unique. When going to a new restaurant for the first time, it is always exciting to eat something you have never experienced before. Service was very quick on a Wednesday evening.
Teo's & Mano A Mano. Teo's is in the location formerly occupied by Red Cactus and what was once a dark and dive-y place is now trendy and new; everything metal and black and white and the place is lit up enough that I can actually see my food. And what food: the excellent wood fire pizza, the traditional, the meat-lovers, and the white pie all very tasty; A very generous antipasto platter; cheesy arancini balls; fried seafood with squid ink. All dishes very good and served by very accommodating staff serving our table of 15 on a busy Friday night.
Teo's is the Lounge-half of the establishment with Mano A Mano the more traditional restaurant side and as such, as Friday dinner turned into Friday night, a DJ setup his turntables to play music. And with the expanded patio that spills out onto Corydon and replaces two parking spaces in front, Teo's is solid option for food and drink in the neighborhood.
3.5/5 Urbanspoons
A very nice place!. When I had just entered the restaurant, I was skeptical. There was no one inside: neither customers nor employees. After walking around for a bit, we were finally greeted by an employee. From then on, everything was great.
The interior looks much more elegant and classy than when it was the Red Cactus. They have a garage door that can be opened in the summer to merge the patio with the interior area.
We decided to enjoy Heineken draft beers with assorted appetizers. First of all, the Heineken only cost $4 on Tuesday, in any other restaurant it would cost at least $6, so that was nice!
We ordered quite a lot of food:
1) Gnocco fritto - Deep fried pizza dough wrapped in prosciutto and served with cheese fondue. The dough was crunchy and well seasoned, and went well with the prosciutto. As for the cheese fondue, while I appreciated the flavor of it and the fact that it was made from cheese and not from powder, I thought a marinara sauce would compliment the dough better.
2) Duck thigh arancini- It resembled a duck croquet with lots of rice and had marinated cubed cucumbers on top. It was enjoyable, but there were not enough duck pieces.
3) Tomato bruschetta - unlike traditional bruschetta that comes with tomato salsa and melted cheese on top, this one has many tomato slices, fresh mozzarella, basil and some balsamic vinegar. It is, in fact, a Caprese salad on toasted bread. As a big fan of Caprese salads, I enjoyed it.
4) Kale salad - a healthy accompaniment for our dinner. It was crisp and the vinaigrette matched the kale and the pears very nicely. The cheese on top felt unnecessary, but one does not go wrong with cheese :) maybe goat cheese could be more fitting.
5) Mozzarella pizza - I was very impressed by how fresh and crunchy the dough was, and the tomato sauce felt homemade and had a nice oregano kick to it. I will probably order it again.
Overall I enjoyed my dinner, the food was great and tasted like it was made in-house. The drink specials were spot on. I can see this place booming in the summer patio season, and I will surely come visit when it's nice and toasty outside.
Totally worth it. My girlfriend and I went here for my birthday dinner a couple nights ago. Everything was great! They have great drink deals to start off. The past two weeks it has been $4 drink week which is pretty much unheard of in a place as nice as that. The night we went it was also $20 dollar wine night on all the wines that are offered by the glass. I think that is awesome because often the price of wine will limit you from enjoying it at a restaurant but at $20 dollars it allows you to really enjoy a full night out with wine and great food. We started off with a couple cocktails. I got a "New Old Fashioned" and being a drinker of Old Fashions this is one of the best I have had. My girlfriend got the Watermelon Fizz which was also good. We ordered the calamari and scallops which were both awesome. We then moved on to the caesar salad, the beef chuck appetizer, the Gnoccu Fritto, and they had a special Mac n' Cheese that night which we also tried. The food was all great and we were super pleased at the end. Service was great and the manager always makes sure you are ok. The inside of the restaurant is super nice and super stylish. They have a gorgeous patio which I experienced last summer for drinks. This is the first time I had a full dinner there and it was really good. I would recommend trying this place out for both dinner and drinks.
Was sceptical to try this place after ratings and reviews but what an amazing surprise, glad we tried the place.
Drinks were good, particularly loved the Berry Mojito. Atmosphere was cozy, trendy and romantic. Service was very prompt and friendly.
Menu was new as of January. Started with beef carpaccio bruschetta and Burrata pepperoni sauce bruschetta. Both were a great size and delicious.
Next split the Kale salad, Fried calamari with cod and shrimp, and the beer fondutta. All excellent dishes with great flavour and presentation.
Can't wait to check out their patio in summer, will definitely return.
Overall, pretty good. We went for a drink and tapas during their second week open. The renovations are gorgeous, and the food is a significant step above the fare that was offered when this restaurant was Civita.
Still some kinks to be ironed out (despite an excellent wine list, our server knew nothing about any of them), but service was otherwise friendly and the food quite good. We did think that entree prices were a bit steep, and an otherwise delicious pizza would have benefited considerably from a thinner, crispier crust. But the place does show promise, and we'll be certainly be back.
Overall, definitely recommended, and I think the interior renos will make this a very popular place once patio season is finished and people are looking for a reliable dining experience on Corydon.
The best very happy Winnipeg have nice restaurant like Mano Mano compliment to the owner we need people like him in this city. Food is just fantastic and the staff and place the are very unique.
Excellent!. The atmosphere is wonderful and the prices are quite fair. The smoked salmon appetizer was fantastic as was the stuffed calamari. The portions were quite large as well. I am for sure going back!
First off I have to say, What a difference! Totally updated renovation and atmosphere. The staff is polite and energetic without being annoyingly plastic. Very cool vibe.
Didn't have much time and only had the chance to have pizza as it was after 11pm. Had the Mano a Mano and the Mushroom Pizza. Both were very good, but I would have to say the Mushroom Pizza is hands down the best pizza I've had in a long time. Seems very simple but every bite oozed in flavour and decadence as it is delightfully infused with the right amount of truffle oil. Couldn't get enough of it. The crust was nice and crispy on the bottom.
All in all I am very impressed and can't wait to dine on the full menu!
Great Night. Had dinner last night at this newly opened restaurant/lounge. Very nice atmosphere, nice to see a more upscale restaurant in the corydon area. My boyfriend and I tried a few cocktails and different types of beer. Personally I loved the Cucumber Gimlet cocktail, it was very refreshing.
For dinner we shared the "mano a mano" pizza and the fish 3 way. The pizza was cooked in a wood fire oven ( as our server informed us) and it was delicious! The fish 3 way was very tasty, lots of different flavours within the dish.
Our service was great. She was helpful with the menu, as well the manager greeted us to assure we were enjoying our night. Over all we both enjoyed our night out and would definitely go back. Hoping to enjoy their patio on our next visit!
