Review Agostino's Pizzeria - Winnipeg

I wish 1-star was possible. This place is awful. Crust is frozen, cheese is minimal, sauce was straight from a can, pepperoni's had absolutely no flavor. Garlic toast was Texas toast with about a half teaspoon of cheap imitation butter. Alfredo was 3/10, definitely not homemade as advertised. Don't waste a dollar here....

I’ve ordered from Agostino’s Pizzeria a bunch of times and the pizza is pretty good. It’s slightly cheaper than Santa Lucia but in the same ballpark when you compare equivalent pizza sizes. The pizzas at Agostino’s are pretty fresh and flavorful. I generally go for delivery. I have picked up the pizzas before in person and they have this weird payment system where it’s confusing and pushes you to add a tip even though you’re picking it up yourself (and it’s tricky to opt out of it). In some cases, I just added a tip when picking it up because I was caught off guard and confused (why tip for pickup…?), and then later laughed at myself because… well, I paid more to pick it up when you include the tip than if I had it delivered. Lol. I know a lot of businesses have this newer practice – pushing customers into adding tips whenever you can to you add fifteen percent to maximize profits. So, I get that this restaurant isn’t alone in this practice, but it is certainly off-putting and wildly annoying. And, as a result, I don’t order from here very often because of frustrations as noted above.

We are from Fredericton New Brunswick and we are visiting Winnipeg and decided to try your pizza and we can say it’s the best pizza ever made and the service was absolutely wonderful ❤️ Will definitely order again before we leave

This was at one time Winnipeg’s best pizza but holy smokes what garbage the crust is different it taste frozen and the toppings are minimal and taste like cheap toppings pizza is pure garbage the days of homemade sausage are gone no extra sauce on top of pizza barely any cheese. It’s a shame a once proud family owned restaurant that had awesome pizza and fantastic sides is now garbage, it’s worse than pizza from 7/11, it’s horrible don’t waste your hard earned money, and of the old owners read this plz open up another pizza restaurant. Zero stars is to good for this place and on top of that you pay for delivery and pizza was 45 mins late and was stone cold, dogs didn’t not want to eat it, thanks to Santa Lucia they saved the day with awesome pizza for pretty much the same price with fantastic sauce lots of topping and cheese hot and fresh and free delivery.

I waited awhile to get my pizza and pasta but the wait was worth it in the end I loved the fettuccine Alfredo and the Greek pizza was delicious

Just tried this place for the first time. What's a Calzone? I didn't no. Couldn't resist trying one aswell as a slice of pizza. Delicious, all of it. Will be having again

I always order pizza it was great food. Until I ordered extra bbq sauce. The first pizza barely had any so I called the second pizza was so heavy and black with bbq sauce. It was disgusting and went in the garbage. Never going to order again. $50.00 for 2 pizzas what a waste of money.

Just ordered pizza a few minutes ago and had to share that this place is definitely the best pizza in Winnipeg. For 2 years I have been struggling in Winnipeg to find good pizza and this is the joint.

There's always a great special at Agostino's. I can't think of anything better for food! Gus and the team there always outdo themselves there and as long as they keep making pizza, i'll keep ordering from them!

First time customer. Ordered a speciality veggie pizza, hot wings and salad. We enjoyed all of them. Good ratio of toppings. Regular crust was a little thick but tasty nonetheless. Will order again for sure!

Worst pizza I have ever had in my life. We actually threw it out. Have never experienced anything like it before. Not much else to say. Would I try it again just to see if it was just a one/time bad experience- not a chance.

Not very good. Had the choice of thin, regular or thick crust. I ordered the regular, holy cow, I can't imagine how thick the thick crust is. The regular crust was possibly the thickest, and definitely the hardest crust I've seen. Reminded me of one of those big heavy frozen Costco pizzas. Disappointing.

This would be one of my favourite pizza places in Winnipeg. They make excellent quality pizzas and they don't skimp on ingredients. A few steps above the large chains for sure! They also make a great lasagna. Would highly recommend!

ordered Pizza and wings... everything is good quality and cooked correctly, however the Pizza is very bland and the sauce has very little flavor....I like a sauce with some zest to it and this is the flattest sauce I have had in a long time, seems like a just a generic no named canned sauce you would get at a grocery store, if this Pizza had a sauce like Boston Pizza or Santa Lucia it would be a hit...but what they have is a flat, slightly salty sauce with little flavor....... Most definitely not the best Pizza in Winnipeg, a decent Pizza yes, quality cheeze and crust, but the sauce  too bland and tasteless for me ..I Am a sauce guy so I will not be ordering their Pizza again

A slightly different pizza restaurant that seems to be consistent with our orders. What makes them different? The extra extras on their specialty pizzas (example pepperoni ring around the crust, not overdoing the sauces etc...). <br/>Great specials, honest delivery times and as mentioned consistency.<br/>Very good for us.

We ordered the feta salad, fetuccini alfredo and a large pizza, cant remember the flavor but they were all awesome! Hubby and I will definitely come back and try the other flavors! :o)

Papa John, Dominos, Pizza Pizza, Little Caesar, Pizza Hut and now I can add Agostinos to the subpar pizza list . You would think that a non pizza chain store would try harder when they don't have to follow corporate rules. Good tasting sauce but where are the toppings! The people that say it's one of the best obviously have never had one of the best. Sorry but not even close. Very suspicious when so many reviews say it's the best and they only have one review. Family, friends, employees?

I have travelled to a lot of places including Italy and this is the best pizza I have ever had!! The quality of the food and the value that is offered is nothing short of amazing. Great people, great service, a great dining experience. The best pizza in the city!

Reminded me of frozen pizza. I was in Winnipeg last week on business. I had one free night and decided to order pizza in my hotel room from Agostino's. It was really bad. The pizza was dry and bland. The crust reminded me of the deli pizzas at Sobey's. I ordered a Greek salad as well. The only positive I have to say is that there were more than 2 olives.

Normally very happy. I order regularily from Agostino's. Latley though I have been dissapointed when ordering their 2xpasta for $19.99 special. The pasta tastes as good as normal but the portions have seen a reduction. Last night I ordered a Lasagna and Canaloni. In the past the pasta ordered would fill the container it came in with no room to spare. Now it seems they are no longer doing this. With the Lasagna it was obviously a piece cut off a bigger Lasagna and put in the container with a good inch of room on either side. The Canaolni also seems to only partialy fill the container leaving an inch of room on the side.<br/> The last time I ordered the special I paid the extra $4.00 for a Pasta Agostino and a Fetucini Alfredo. The Pasta Agastino was full as I expected filling the container top to bottom and side to side. The Fetucini was on the other hand a poor portion filling maybe half the container. I figured it was an off night with the Fetucini and thought nothing of it. But getting the special again and once again getting smaller portions makes me wonder do all pasta's now come with the smaller portion or only when ordering the special. I ask this due to the Pata Agostino being full as in the past. If the special gets a reduced protion how is it a special? The reduced portion easily accounts for the $2.00 savings per pasta. I think in the future I'll stick to the Pizza which tastes great.

Good Pizza, Good Prices!. The pizza is awesome! Lots of cheese, and lots of toppings. Can't go wrong with the lunch special! 2 slices of pizza and a pop for 5 bucks, taxes included! Love it!

This has become a regular stop for us after Friday Night Soccer.<br/><br/>XL 2 topping, ready when we show up, always greeted with a smile and friendly towards us all.<br/><br/>The best part, the PIZZA. Agostino's Pizza. Very delicious the first couple of times we ate there and good deals for a combo meal. Manager is very nice and asks how you are doing everytime :)

Go there for the lunch special all the time. 5 bucks for 2 slices of great pizza or a huge calzone with a drink, you can't go wrong.

Special date night at a hotel without kids ruined by bland food. Very courteous on the phone and quick delivery, but the nice tasting crust was overpowered by no-flavour pizza.

Best Bang for Your Buck!. I'm a HUGE fan of their lunch special. I work super close to Agostino's, but in that area there's lots of options for restaurants, but I tend to elect Agostino's, especially for the lunch hour! I've been going there since their lunch specials were $4.00. I didn't care when they bumped it up to $5.00 because two large slices of pizza and a can of pop... it's completely worth it!<br/><br/>The one thing I highly enjoy is the different selection of pizza choices everyday... it makes you wanting to come back! I'm in love with their BBQ chicken pizza!!! <br/><br/>The staff there is always friendly, even if it's a simply call to check what their lunch specials are! And don't worry if you show up and there's a line-up out the door, it goes fast and it's completely worth it!!!

Amazing food, Amazing service. My husband and I ordered for the first time and our pizza was so delicious. Lots of fresh toppings and with really yummy cheese. The thin crust was really nice.The service was really friendly and fast too. We will defiantly be back!

Best Pizza in the City!. I think Agostino's is one of the best finds in the city when it comes to Pizza! Located in a quaint area just west of a busy Shopping Centre (Polo Park), it's just got this great vibe to it.<br/>I first spotted Agostino's Pizza one day on my lunch hour and just had to give it a chance. With such a great deal for a lunch special I couldn't resist. <br/>The moment I walked in there it was just amazing. The staff are super friendly, whether it's the staff in the back making the pizza, or the people in the front getting your food packaged, they are all unbelievably friendly.<br/>When I asked for the lunch special I was amazingly shocked at how LARGE the pizza slices were. Having them change on a daily basis is what gets your going back to Agostino's. You want to try everything!<br/>I'm happy to say that atleast once or twice a week I head down to Agostino's to get their lunch special! Very cheap and highly recommended to everyone. You will not be disappointed!

Best Deal in Town. Hi I visited Agostino's because a friend recommended it. It is a small mostly takeout place on Ness close to Polo Park. They have the best lunch deal in town. For $5 you get two large slices of pizza and a beverage. The slices change everyday, They usually have two choices, bacon double cheeseburger was great one day and meatlovers was great on a second visit. The staff are fast and friendly, the best pizza and deal in town, you will not be dissapointed.

Agostinos. The cannelloni was just okay. Ordered XL Pepperoni, mushroom and green pepper pizza too. The pizza was not very good; not enough cheese and I think there was only one mushroom sliced paper thin on the whole XL pizza.. The crust was no great shakes either. Kinda like cardboard. Lots of green peppers though.

Mmmmmmmmmmm. LOVE LOVE LOVE the greek salad there. The homemade dressing is what makes it my fav lunch or dinner! I have also had the lasagna, better than olive gardens in my opinion!

Awesome Pizza. We had pizza from Agostino's about once a week for the past 3 years. We have had awesome pizza every time. There is only 1 complaint that has been heard from our place....Its not fair that my parents have an Agostiono's by their place on Henderson Hwy and my inlaws don't. Well.....maybe they'll expand!

Awesome Pizza!. Hands down the best pizza in the city. My husband order from Agostino's (Ness) at least once a week! We love the pizza dough and fresh toppings! A defenite favorite!

Great pizza.. My favourite pizza in the city. Can be a little greasy but always has loads of flavour. Chewy crust, light tomatoe sauce, flavourful cheese and plenty of toppings. Some very reasonable deals as well. Both locations (Ness and Henderson) are now under the same management and they both taste great! I've always wanted to try the pasta but haven't been able to as I can't resist the pizza and salad.

This isn’t a bad pizza but the dough takes away a lot of the appeal (and ends up sitting in your stomach like a rock).
