My group of friends and I have been going here for the past year for our get togethers - it has sort of become our to-go sushi place! It has been a very pleasant experience every time! The food and service have been excellent, you definitely can't go wrong with an all you can eat for $15.95! The food is delicious and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I ordered their Sunomono Salad for the first time yesterday, and I highly recommend it - it's so good and flavoured very well. Each time I order something different to try new items on the menu, and I've have never been disappointed, and I always leave happy. Yesterday's experience was probably the most memorable because our server (I believe her name is Luna?) was absolutely wonderful. You know sometimes when places get busy, sometimes the wait staff can get overwhelmed? But she was friendly, personable and made sure we had everything we ordered/needed, even when the restaurant got super busy. I just wanted to say, people like her make the difference in a dining experience, and definitely makes it so much more enjoyable! Will be back again :)
My boyfriend and I went there today for dinner for the first time since the renovations and I have to say it's amazing! All the sushi rolls tasted so fresh and full of flavor! The rolls are bigger now too so becareful on how much you order. The price has gone up to 19.00$ but honestly the quality has improved so much it's completely worth it! Also great service!
Has quickly become my go to place for sushi. Delicious food, fantastic staff, relaxed atmosphere and reasonable price for all you can eat.
I've lost track of how many years I have been coming to this place, 6 or 7 years at the very least.
When I started going here it was a small and new restaurant and affordable. The quality may have not been high end, but the $10.95 was hard to beat anywhere back then. Through the years yes they have increased their prices, but the quality of the food they have has increased exponentially. I can easily afford to go and get Sushi from a "high class" restaurant but Magic Sushi 2 has raised the bar and keeps me driving across the city (up until this year, into town as well).
If you are holding back to try this place out, I would strongly recommend giving them a chance as they wont disappoint.

Whenever people I know ask where to go for sushi, I always recommended magic sushi! By far the place to go. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone there is so friendly and the food is unreal.
First time there this evening. Will definitely will be coming back many times over. Very reasonable price for very quality food with a great atmosphere.

Lovely service. Friendly staff everytime we've gone in. Never have we been disapointed with the food. I've had very expensive sushi that didn't hold a candle to this.

The wait for this place can be very long and they only take reservations 4 hours ahead. Food is great for the price! Way worth paying a bit more for this location vs paying less for the one on Mcphillips. The ingredients are fresh and the staff are very friendly! I recommend going for lunch as it’s cheaper and goes until 5pm. I recommend the black dragon roll and the mushroom tempura. None of the rolls are really fancy and they’re all kind of different variations of salmon, shrimp and imitation crab except for a few. The area is a bit squishy as its a small building so not that great for large groups. This is definitely my go to for all you can eat sushi!
I can only say wonderful things about this place. I’m a vegan so I only order their veggie sushi and they truly do it the best. I’ve gone to expensive sushi restaurants where I have paid $100+ and it does not even compare to the veggie sushi they have here. Service is always great. I am here quite often because I refuse to go anywhere else in the city 😬 shiitake roll and yam rolls are AMAZING.
My go to sushi place for girls night! Delicious sushi at a very affordable price. Nothing but good things to say, highly recommend and the sushi and service speaks for itself.

The restaurant looks clean better than the other Magic Sushi at Mcphilips. The servers are very friendly. The food is really great and delicious. Very Affordable price too.
The sushi was pretty good, but any sushimi was an extra charge. The wonton soup was weird. Deep fried wontons were difficult to eat whole and hard to cut with the ceramic spoon. They were not very tasty either. The deep fried shrimp balls sounded great but were disappointing at best. The soft tofu breaded and deep fried balls were excellent. No beer made me sad, but I survived without it.
Go there on a Tuesday for their taco tuna tar tar!! The best ever. The seaweed taco shell could be more crispy than crunchy though. But still good.
Good sushi and great service! Can't be beat for the all you can eat price! We dine here regularly for girls night out and always enjoy ourselves. thank you!
Decent for the price, doubtfull it's sushi grade fish. Ordering salmon rolls have gotten raw salmon and on other days have gotten what tasted like canned salmon.

There's loads of variety. The service is always good and quick.
Went here with a group of friends after the new year. They recommended they place so I had to try it. Decent pricing for sushi especially if it is all you can eat. Food quality is good, I do recommend anything tempura that they have. Good place to go to with a group of people, that way if you aren't able to finish what you ordered... There's that one friend who would help you out so you don't get charged extra. Satisfied!

This is our #1 favourite repeat date location. Even after they increased their prices at Magic Sushi 2 last year, we did not hesitate to continue going.
THE FOOD:
The menu has a lot of delicious options, we always start with a Miso soup for the bf and a salad for myself. The salad is ALWAYS picture perfect. Not a speck of brown lettuce ever. The vinegar/sriracha mayo dressing is light and in no way overpowering.
The tempura can be hit or miss. More often is a hit however. On the miss days, the tempura is too hard/crunchy and not light and battery like it should be. $3.00 for 3 thick slices of sashimi is more than reasonable. The tuna bakudan and grey flower rolls are ALWAYS on the order list.
SERVICE:
The service is always prompt and quick. If a table needs to get cleared for us to be seated when we arrive, we are never waiting. The paper order form does not remain waiting on the table very long before being scooped up by the young waitress (who is our favourite, but we haven't seen her there in a few months) or the young male waiter. Also the older man (owner, I'm assuming) is always helping out by picking up/delivering orders or ringing up the bill. His English is not good, but he is so friendly none-the-less.
This is the only all-you-can-eat sushi place that I ever recommend to anyone in Winnipeg. For less than $45 we are always both sufficiently fed and satisfied with our experience. We drive all the way from St.Vital at least twice a month to eat here for the past 2+ years.
A little more pricey then it was before. Used to be 12.95 and now it's 15.95. Still a pretty good price. The sushi's not the best but it definitely isn't the worst. Not somewhere to take a date to but if you drive by and suddenly crave sushi I guess I would recommend. The staff is really friendly and welcoming too so that's a plus.
Out of all the sushi places in Winnipeg, this is one I keep coming back too. This place is by far my favourite place for sushi. The establishment is tidy and clean, the price is decent and the staff is super helpful and nice. I love taking friends who are not very familiar with sushi here, the waitresses take time out to tell you about anything you have a question about. Even the chef they have is super nice and thanks you for coming in. And they have a tv playing music videos in the background, which is fun and entertaining :) $14 for all you can eat sushi and you don't get rude looks from the staff after a while like some other places.
This is a great place if you want cheap sushi made fast. I love going here for all you can eat. I like the tempura batter they use. My daughter likes the tempura veggies here.

The service is very friendly. The food comes fast and many of the rolls are tasty. The one I liked the most was totally crazy shrimp. For all you can eat at 12.95 this place offered good value. I will go back and I will be bringing friends with me!

Not the type of place to go on a date but rather a place to go after ur done shopping cuz it's all u can eat for 12.99.
And they decided to not charge me for the green tea for some reason but it was very cool of them to do that.

Yum!. Great place for sushi. Lots of cool rolls. Nice atmosphere and in a great area as I'm around there often and not a lot of good sushi places around.
I have never heard of this place until last week and the name almost sounded comical but once i went i was very impressed. $10.95 all you can eat sushi all day, every day. No restrictions to any types either. The service is fast, even during a busy lunch rush and the quality of the sushi was great. The only negative thing i can say is the individual rolls are very expensive if you don't get the all you can eat and they barely give you any wasabi. Even if you ask for more they bring you a tiny dab of it. Otherwise it is my new favorite sushi place in Winnipeg. On a side note--it's located in Transcona, not West Kildonan as it's listed here
Fresh and tasty. I did not have high expectations going into Magic Sushi #2, but I was actually really impressed.
For $10.95, I cannot fault them for anything at all.
The fish was all fresh and tasty, the rolls were great, and all of the appetizers were really good.
The only exception is the gyoza, which are more of a deep fried wonton than a steamed dumpling.....not bad per se, just not something I'd ever order again.
The nigiri was very nice, and they make a good udon soup.
The tempura is a little on the heavy side, due primarily to a bad batter recipe.
Those who take their sushi seriously, you'll obviously want to stay away....but for a quick and easy sushi fix, it's perfect.
The Korean family who run the place are very friendly and accomodating.
For $10.95, I really hope youre not hoping for 10/10 sushi euphoria. The place is simple at best, it's not the worst sushi but it's not the best either. BOTTOMLINE: Great place to go if you're craving quantity sushi over top-quality sushi... Seriously, $10.95 for all you can eat, its hard to go horribly wrong.
This is, by far, the BEST all you can eat sushi in Winnipeg. For $10.95, all you can eat, it is amazing. We've visited here a dozen times and it's always good. If I ordered as much as I do at magic, at Blu fish it would cost me $50+, granted it would be higher quality and better atmosphere, but crazy amounts of money. We love this place!
Great experience. Our first time we went to this location was hilarious. We didn't have much experience with sushi. We wrote our order, and where a little concerned whenthe waitress asked; "Are you sure you'll eat all this? "
We reluctantly said yes. And after the order came, we ate 2 more orders like that yet. She couldn't believe we where that hungry. Lol. Either chinese don't eat much, or we wherre famished. Either way we loved it, and have since renturned quite a few times with family and friends. I like that they mark the cooked food with a C.
And I like that it doesn't have so much filling.
The service can be kind of iffy at times but I can't complain about the price and the sushi itself. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't know if they like sushi or not yet just check it out. If you don't like it, it's only $12.

If your going there thinking you'll get top shelf sushi your wrong, it's all you can eat so you should prepare yourself for some mid ranged quality food. That being said, service was fairly fast and the pricing is reasonable. 6.9/10
AWESOME!. Unbeatable for the price! Very good Sushi and good service. I strongly recommend Magic Sushi 2 to anyone who like Sushi. The decor isn't anything special (it used to be a burger joint), but its clean and decent..and the food is great. In the two months they have been open I have eaten there at least 6 times already.

Really not bad for unlimited. My husband and I went by to check it out last week and it wasn't bad! My hubby doesn't really even like sushi but he actually enjoyed himself here.
Since we weren't sure how much to order and didn't want to be charged for extra we ordered twice. The service isn't prompt but it's not bad. The chefs were quick too.
My only qualm was that while I like spicy sushi, it didn't quite kick my craving since I found some of the pieces to be just too sweet.
But they do make up for it with having such a variety to order from. My husband was able to get beef/chicken and other variety's that are a little more, what I call 'white ppl sushi' that didn't involve any raw fish but still felt like he was eating authentic rolls.
We were there on a Thursday evening around 7:30 and the place was nearly full. FYI they do have a max time limit on seating. You may only stay 2 hrs for unlimited. Not that it should really be a problem for anyone.
Anyhow, we'll definitely be going back maybe next month. It's nice to have found a sushi place both my husband and I can eat at.

For the price it's very good. Service is quick, friendly, wide selection of sushi. Absolutely enjoyed their miso soup.
Delicious food and nice customer services. Order food on weekdays will help you get food faster and fresher or Dine in without long waiting time. Also could customise your own rolls with your favourite sauce. Don't forget to get some soft Drinks to enhance the flavor of every bite.
I was skeptical because i did not have a good experience with magic sushi on mcphillips long ago. But my experience here at the revamped magic sushi on panet, Its like night and day. Server and service is great and the restaurant is clean. 5 stars
Past experiences with this restaurant have been awesome! Super friendly staff and great food, no complaints! However I must note that they are no longer an all you can eat sushi restaurant as of August 2021.
