Diane is one of the best bartenders I have ever had serve me. Always knows what I am drinkinh and also what everyone else drinks. Always smiling and a joy to be around.

Brandon has to be the best bartender I have ever met! That guy not only serves at the bar but he actually asks everyone at the VLTS , bottles and glasses are constantly cleaned up!

Been dropping in during the day once and awhile, usually Thursday or Friday. The bartender "DIANNE" is excellent!! Always smiling, great service, and guaranteed a few laughs! Good times!!!

Amazing service, food was quick and the TV's for the jets game where close. Not to mention, the bartender made me feel very welcome and was VERY easy on the eyes. Will come back
Great pub food and the bartender was very nice and attentive. Their bacon cheeseburger was fresh and tasty so with the onion rings. Original 16 beer was their special that night. Won't hesitate coming back.
Kaitlyn is an excellent bar tender pays attention to every detail of the drink, she is very personable and makes the vibe of the bar so much better, as well she makes killer drinks!! Katie was also a great addition to the service being personable as well as a funny, nice awesome server, and the vendor service was amazing!! I think the mans name was Keenan

Came here with family the other evening since we had a groupon to use up. It was wing night and the jets game was playing. Two of our family members ordered the wings. Lemon pepper, electric honey, honey garlic. My husband ordered the steak sandwich med. rare and a honey brown on tap which was a little flat.
I ordered the clubhouse sandwich with sweet potato fries.
The wings were pretty good. Electric honey was pretty tasty! The steak sandwich came out with fries and the steak was well done as well done could be. Our server and manager took it off the bill which was good and hubby went with wings instead. The clubhouse was awesome alongside the sweet potato fries. Fry Portion was generous
They were short staffed that night but our server rocked it considering. She was running around and for the most part pretty attentive considering.
I would suggest the clubhouse here.
I'm not sure if I would hurry back here myself but this visit was definitely better than the previous.

Came here last weekend with a few friends to watch the Bomber game and Jays game. It had been a good 3-4 years since my husband and I visited this place and in ways I can see why we didn't rush back. Our friends, it was their first visit.
The Positives: the daily specials they have here are pretty good. Reasonable prices and good portions. Saturday was $13-14 pitchers of beer (4-5 choices I believe) and half price on their draft day platters.
Now here's the negative... They were out of pretty much everything on their menu. We asked for MGD for the pitcher of beer and they were out. Went with the Miller lite. They were out of all of their dips which eliminated the spinach dip and the all around the horn appetizer (which I wanted to try). So we ordered nachos with beef and the beef sliders, and the server came back and said the kitchen didn't have enough ground beef defrosted so we could either eliminate the burger or eliminate the beef sliders.... So we eliminate the beef sliders and go with the chicken bites. Server came back saying the kitchen was out of chicken bites. So we now go with chicken fingers and request an order of their kettle chips.
I'm not sure how you don't have enough ground beef ready on a Saturday when there's a good 5-7 items on their menu that include ground beef.
The last visit we had a few years back, the same thing. They didn't have half the items on their menu.
I would've given this visit a 2.0-2.5, however despite the meh service and lack of selection, the food we did end up ordering was good for the price and good portion for us all to share. (platter: chicken fingers, nachos with beef, wings) and kettle chips which were awesome.
I gotta wonder if this place is better for drinking more so than eating and that's why the menu is never stocked.... Or if the two visits I had was just poor organization/prep.

I don't know what to say about this place. We got the "Around the Horn" platter with 4 hot dips and kettle cooked chips. It was very good and the service also was but the restaurant had a weird vibe. There was a group of people screaming BLUE LIVES MATTER the whole time we were there and there was a PowerPoint of a gorilla playing for some reason. I don't know if we will be back because I guess we didn't fit the vibe of the place
Just went there for the first time. Their burgers are HUGE and delicious, bigger and better than some other Winnipeg burger joints that are famous for extra large burgers. Fries were also above average.
Me and my wife use to go to Hat Tricks when we were first dating 5 years ago. We hadn't been in in quite a few years and decided to take a night out. I was apprehensive because it had been so long but was very happy to see that while they have updated there menu with new stuff ( Around the Horn. wow is all I can say about this app.)and the atmosphere remained. I had my long time favourite wings (best in the city. 30+ flavours). My wife had the NEW stuffed jalapeño popper burger ( another wow dish) and she loved it. We were very satisfied with the service (very polite and attentive) and we will definitely return very soon
Needs better service. It would be nice if the servers were more attentive to the table. The food is good. Nothing special nothing fantastic. Nachos wings burgers all good. But once food is dropped off the server does not come back to check if you need anything. I shouldn't have to wait til I'm almost done my food to ask if I could get more salsa or extra napkins etc.
Went here with some friends last week, I had the full belly burger and it was amazing. Besides all the tv's the waitresses where great and easy on the eyes. I'll be back for sure!
Don't judge a book by its cover, hat tricks is on the main level of the Howard Johnson hotel. Access is in the rear parking lot. It's totally remodeled and is just the right size, very cozy and it feels like I'm in a ski resort out west in the bar. There's like 14 flat screen TVs with the latest sports always on. Good atmosphere and the FOOD is actually realllly good. If your in the west portage area, skip Smitty's and Boston pizza go here.

What a great spot!. Spent the afternoon at Hat Tricks today watching football and having lunch. The first thing that strikes you about this place is how super nice it is inside. Alot of thought and work has been put in to make it well above average for a sports bar. Great vibe too... TVs all around and comfortable booths for our group. Snappy service to boot.
As a hot wing conniseur, we had to try the "famous" wings here. We had the Franks Ranch and the 50 Creek- cooked perfectly in my opinion and priced properly. Came with veggies and dip- full marks here for sure.We also tried what we were told were the citys hottest wings. We only did one each and that was enough. Crazy hot. Apparently they have two even HOTTER versions that need you to sign a waiver. No thanks. You man/woman enough? Have at 'er. Great wings though... the 50 Creek were dynamite.
A little later on, I ordered the Big Belly Burger. Aptly named, and crammed full of bbq pulled pork, bacon, cheese, and crispy onion rings on what appeared to be a planet-sized homemade patty. I got through it, but it certainly filled the Fat Guy up. Amazing burger... and around 10 bucks with rings? Unreal prices. My buddy, the fat-guy in training, had the Andrej Pavelec chicken burger- a boneless breast with red peppers, avocado and other veggies with a fresh homemade sauce. I didnt try it, but buddy said he was going back this week for another one. Best chicken burger he's ever had.... pretty good report. I should have snuck a bite.
Hat Tricks was an awesome place today- a great spot to watch a Jets game thats for sure. C C Cold beers, great hospitality (owner must have asked everyone in the place 5 times each if all was ok...) and super service. One of my new favorites.
Good food and great atmosphere with a ton of TVs, try the suicide wings, not on the menu and you can only order if the owner or head chef is there but try them if you're man enough. Great local place.
I tried a different meal every day I was here and everything on the menu was delicious! The service was above and beyond, funny waitresses, bartenders that would give you advice on how to make your food better (secret menu items)

This place is amazing, their new menu and kitchen manager have made an awesome new menu, everything on it tastes amazing, the staff is so friendly and attentive, we had a young lady named Amy and she was the most attentive and on point we’ve ever had serve us. Every time I’ve been here I have felt so taken care of and can barely go anywhere else. There’s not much that can beat the prices and the service of this bar/lounge.
