Food is always fresh and hot. Employees are nice. I recommend this place.

Best Shell salad with pulled Pork and mild Sauce!!!! 😋 I love it. Always, rich in flavors. Salad size is good for 2. Mango Jarritos is perfect match. Just perfect combination. Price fair. Also, fast delivery if you thinking order from work or home.

Went here twice in just last two days and had to review this one. They have amazing staff and all the ingredients are very very fresh and flavourful. At other places sometimes you can sense the shift in the attitude of the server when you ask to a thing or two on your bowl, not the case here!! Servings are generous and quality. I went there right before closing and they were running out of a few things, but they were totally polite about it and that matters a lot when dealing with customers. Over all 5 star for flavours and efforts!! Will definitely visit everytime I want Qdoba.

Love the queso. Like grabbing a quick bite here. Edit: the steak is so bad and so chunky. My husband and I ate in the restaurant and both felt like steak. Big mistake. They need to chop it up and it is so chewy. Terrible. The chicken is better. I had to remove a star.

I used to love Qdoba. It was one of my favourite restaurants for years before it even opened in Winnipeg. I am so disappointed in how chintzy this place has gotten. Every time Ive ordered the same thing and almost every time a few months apart the portion size gets smaller and smaller. Today was the last time I will eat there. I asked for my quacamole on the side like I always do but now for whatever strange reason I can’t have that. It can be put in my bowl but not separate even though a few weeks ago this was not the case. This place is horrible and not worth your money for what you get anymore.

I’d rate 0 starts if I could. They ran out of cheese and emptied out the container of powder Into my bowl. Then they were extremely rude. They can’t even say “your welcome” or acknowledge a friendly thank you. Horrible customer service.

Qdoba is one of those cravings I need to satisfy once in a while. I’ve never ordered their bowls; I just stick with their burritos, especially the ones with the beef brisket base. Their toppings are pretty fresh and I love that they have things like fajita vegetables and cilantro. Pretty novel compared to other fast food vendors. Their nachos/ queso dip is also pretty delicious. This location also has one of those Coke fountain drink dispensers that let you add and mix/match flavours to your soda (e.g., lime, lemon, cherry flavour, etc.). Otherwise, pretty standard set up.

My job switched locations and I now come here at least once a week. The burrito bowls are basically my favourite food.

I have no idea what genuine Mexican taco taste like as I've never been to Mexico but if there's one that stands out from all the rest as far as Winnipeg is concerned hands down it's Qdoba. this food haven has given a breath of fresh air to tacos, burrito, nachos, etc. and price won't break the bank.
Tracy Morin
Had a most wonderful taco salad today made with shredded beef. Thank you very much! Was a great lunch. Got it to go. Staff are super fast and very friendly too.
Vlad Klekovkin
Food was tasty. Service also. We will return to this place.

Very good as always and the right price , coupon in show n save book !!

The problem with Mexican style food is how often we settle for bland, uninspired, terrible food.

That is Qdoba.

My burrito contained mystery chicken that although stewed over time in juices was cold and dry. The beans were a flavourless mess. Other fixings were filler with nothing of note beyond they addressed my hunger but not my cravings for a good burrito.

Yeah, I know if I wanted something of quality then I should have gone someplace else when taking it at face value. My bad but I've had decent fast Mexican fair and what I was served was terrible.

Qdoba is a Mexican fast food chain that the inside is quite similar to Pita Pit/Subway. You put in your order at the beginning of the line, then you go down the line to pick out the type of sauce, protein, veggies you would like on your meal. Qdoba serves the classic Mexican food, ie Burritos, Tacos, Quesadilla and etc. The food is definitely better than Taco Del Mar, however, you're also paying for it.

First time, definitely not the last! Everything was fantastic, and diet Barq's on tap! Huge selection of soft drinks. Huge selection of choices, and everything tastes so good. Biggest problem is choosing....
Kristina Sara
3 words, yummy huge burrito. Everything tasted fresh and the only thing I didn't like was the choice of sauces, cheese or BBQ is what they had, I asked for a little of the BBQ and got what seemed like a lot, either way it was still tasty and I demolished it. I would also of liked if they had put in a press or something just to heat it throughout and seal it a bit.
Loverofallfood
We really enjoyed our tacos! Service was good, nothing to rave about but no complaints. We had the Drunken Yardbird, Mad Rancher, Two Timer, And the Triple Threat. All were very good, not authentic by any means but delicious. All ingredients were fresh and you have a choice of corn or flour tortillas. Serving quantity was very fair for the price and protein ratio was better than most taco joints. I would recommend this establishment without hesitation!
Mon
Great food. Large portions. Great prices. I would eat there everyday if I could without gaining weight lol I highly recommend their taco bowls and adding all toppings. Amazed how well they pack the bowl!

Been coming regularly to the Ellice Qdoba since it opened. Was there today again. Food is tasty & consistent but service is not. Staff were scrambling to put together a catering order that a gentleman was picking up while leaving a long line of customers waiting and unacknowledged. Staff being friendly and helpful is always hit & miss and sometimes they make you feel like you're burdening them. Especially if you ask a question! I only come back for the food when I'm feeling like a quick Mexican fix.

Visited the Qdoba on Kenaston. First time there and I was impressed. Service was very prompt and very friendly. The guy behind the counter was making suggestions for my burrito, and it is delicious!

I love how everything is fresh and made in house. Burrito was $11, and I'm pretty sure it weighs 2 pounds, so good bang for your buck. The chicken is soo good.

Can't wait to go back!

First and foremost this is a fast food chain but comparing apples to apples this place is one of favourites for a quick, relatively cheap and reliable tasting meal. I love that they don't nickel and dime you for every topping. Guacamole, cheese, queso, fajita veggies are all included in the price. It's not the best food out there for you but it isn't the worst by a long shot. It is staffed by teenagers mostly but I actually find service really good. Restaurant and bathroom are always pretty clean. Good vegetarian options but I do hope one day they add sofritos like thier US competitor chipoltes. If I am out by Polo this is a no brainier for me. Or if I am craving Mexican but don't want to go to a sit down restraint and wait for my food. And in my perfect world there would be a coca cola freestyle on every corner.

I like this food, so does my husband, he goes there every chance he gets! Their mexican gumbo is great, so is the queso burrito If yu like fast food n mexican, its the way to go👌

My husband, son and I recently went to the Qdoba restaurant on Kenaston. Our son loves this place, due to some great coupons we decided to try it out. We all had their three tacos for $11 - there is a variety of choice including vegetarian, we all mixed and matched. The way the counter staff put together the tacos reminded me of subway. In my opinion they tasted very good, I loved their soda machine.
Macala05
Surprisingly one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been too. I had the taco salad and they packed it with all the fresh toppings. I also tried their nachos and that alone with their queso cheese was a hit!

This place actually has gotten better in my eyes recently. I had a smothered tequila mango burrito about a month ago and a shredded beef one last weekend and the flavours have seemed much more noticeable, enjoyable. Still not quite on par with Burrito Del Rio but good for what it is and less driving for me to get to.

Servers are usually pretty chipper. My only beef with this place is that I still don't really know what all the options for the burritos are so I feel like I am not taking full advantage of their offerings.
Mackenzie
I was excited for a Qdoba to pop up here, because when I lived in the states I used to go all the time. But the people who work here are NOT very nice, they don't smile or seem that they wanna be there. The hot food is cold and the meat is bone dry. I would never come back to this one. Pro-tip: go to burrito splendido or burrito del rio. They'll treat you better.
KANA
Pretty good. This is basically mexican subway. I'm an avid burrito eater and I frequent Burrito Del Rio T on a weekly basis. The only downfall there is that their selection is limited, which is one thing Qdoba has going for it. Lots of options whether it be toppings, meat, beans or sauces. Service was alright. I did have to ask for hot sauce instead of being asked which sauce I wanted with it, which I thought was weird because the person ahead of me had ordered the same thing and they did ask them. Definitely go over the menu provided near the front if you haven't been before, or at the very least check out the menu online before going in. They rush you through extremely fast especially during the lunch hour.

I tried the Spicy Tequila Mango smothered burrito, served in a takeaway bowl. The mango salsa was very good. The habanero hot sauce definitely could have been spicier but it gave it a nice kick. The tortilla was disappointing. The pulled pork was lackluster. Basically the bad outweighed the good on this one. EDIT: I came back with co-workers and had the mango salad (in a tortilla shell) - MUCH better than the burrito. I would go back for that one.

It wont replace my favourite burrito joint (BDRT), but I suppose it's an alternative to Subway for a quick lunch. If you're looking for a more authentic take on Latin cuisine, check out Mercadito Latino (which is about a 5 minute drive from Qdoba).
Jacquie
Really enjoyed my burrito bowl, which I had with shredded beef ($10.20). It was the closest thing that came to the one I had from Chipotle, which I missed having when I was in LA. (Note: I've also tried the burrito bowl at Burrito Del Rio Taqueria, which was good, but I felt Qdoba came closer to what I had at Chipotle.) I also ordered the chips and salsa ($3), which I found to be overly salty, and would most likely not order again.

Overall, I would definitely return again to get my fix for whenever I'm craving for a burrito bowl. I only wish they had another location down in the south end, as this location is to far from where I live.
Swagswag13
Chips and queso. A lot of the time the queso tastes fake. Like it's constantly warmed up and reused. Also never enough chips for the chips and queso

I love lunch again!. We have been coming here since shortly after it opened and we love it! We have had consistently great service and great food. The Mexican goulash is my go-to comfort food now. If you are looking for a similar experience as you expect at taco bell, you won't have it here. If you're a fan of mass produced gruel with meaty type filling, maybe taco bell is a good fit for you. Who am I to tell you what great food tastes like. All I can say is that the authenticity of the people and delicious food will make you a qdoba fan forever. Quit embracing mediocrity. Come try something wonderfully different.

Poor service, Cold food. Since I was by Polo Park this weekend, I stopped by Qdoba to try it out for the first time. The service is similar to a Subway/Taco del Mar, where you go to the counter and they prepare the food in front of you. I ordered the Smothered Veggie Burrito for my bf and the regular Veggie Burrito for myself. I was not pleased with the service. The first burrito was made and they did not ask what type of salsa or tortilla I wanted (so I assumed there were no options). When the 2nd burrito was made I was asked whether I wanted a whole wheat tortilla and what type of salsa I wanted. So I was disappointed, because had I known there were choices I would have ordered the first burrito on whole wheat with spicy salsa. For only the 2nd veggie burrito I was asked whether I wanted sautéed veggies or guacamole. I asked if I could have a little bit of each and was denied, which was disappointing because at Taco Del Mar they accommodate me. I decided on the guacamole, which I got 2 scoops of, just plopped into the center of the wrap instead of being spread out evenly (again, if they are giving 2 scoops, why can't they do 1 scoop guac,1 scoop veggies?!). Neither burrito was grilled. When I took my food home to eat, my burrito was cold inside and the guacamole was all clumped to one side. The one thing I was happy with was that they offer brown rice, but it didn't matter because the rice was ice cold anyways. For $19.76, this was the biggest fast food disappointment yet. 2 vegetarian burritos, at $10 a piece, large in size, but crappy in taste and poor service too. To the other reviewer, I am curious as to how you fed 3 people for under $20. Will stick to Taco Del Mar!
Bob Ranch
Very healthy fresh food. Can feed 3 for under $20. Didnt like the plastic cutlery/drinks & paper cups.
3maxin
High priced. Simple. I ordered a beef burrito. The Burrito might have had 2 ounces of beef the rest was all rice and beans. Not any value for $10. You would be better off taco time.
Cidflux
Keep it in perspective. How do you define quality? For me its based on the service received, the quality of food, the cleanliness of an establishment, the atmosphere and the attention to detail. Qdoba delivers on all these points on a regular basis and delivers it at a great value. Qdoba offers an average price for a menu item, comparable to most chains, and yet consistently outperforms most other chains on quality of product and flavour. There is an incredible amount of variety on the menu and yet the menu seems to maintain a cohesive flavour throughout, and trust me I've tried it all. If you're looking for fantastic tasting, fresh ingredients and a good value in a well maintained establishment with friendly knowledgeable staff then this is your place. Did I mention cervezas and Mexican soda!?

Ambiance of a fast-food restaurant. Food was all right.. I'm turned off by having to line up, cafeteria-style, to get food. I'd pay more to sit down and have table service. The food I had wasn't bad and I am interested in going back, but it's not high on my list of places to return to.
Lenklippenstein
Great food.. I was very pleased with the service and food.
Will definitely come back.
Tjo87
Great mexican food for a great price!. Finally good mexican food! I had the craft two with two taco's and a quesadilla. The chicken quesadilla with the pico on it was awesome and the steak that I had on the taco's was so good especially with the hot salsa. That staff was really friendly and were very helpful with questions as I was ordering. I will definitely be back again!
J
I've eaten at the Grand Forks location and loved it. So when I discovered it had come to Wpg, I was excited. I had the same chicken burrito I get in the states. What a disappointment. In a word, bland.
Donhollio
The Worst!. I bought the 3 tacos. In a word... pathetic! Getting a few cubes of their chicken which was rather bland, a bunch of cut lettuce, hot sauce that was not hot at all. Then to add to the disappointment, the girl without asking, takes a spoon of white sauce and proceeds to flick it all over the tacos!
Before I could stop her I had to ask what it was, "sour cream' was the reply. Gee thanks for asking if I wanted any. I got the crap to go not really seeing what a ''masterpiece of taco perfection'' was created before me.
$9 post tax price. I am no fan of Taco Bell, but at least there they fill your tacos that cost 30% less than this place. I had planned on calling the manager of Qdoba's but I lost the receipt.

I pulled this one out of the bag first because it was the cleanest one free of sour cream all along the OUTSIDE of the taco.(see photo) If you look on the right side of this taco you will see some sour cream. They couldn't even get the lettuce in the taco.

Two other people I have mentioned my taco story to told me their Qdoba experience. One had a tasteless burrito, and the other a Quesadilla that had a few strands of cheese.

Now isn't this taco you'd happily enjoy? I think not.
Asking_alexandria
Fantastic Everything. Staff is great, friendly, quick, and have great knowledge of the menu. The food is super tasty and its nice to know that all the food is made fresh, it looks fresh and tasty too. I have no issues with the tortilla shells being pre-packaged, I'm more worried about if the food inside that is fresh and tasty. Me and my boyfriend come here all the time, very pleased with each visit. I would DEFINITELY choose Qdoba over other burrito places in the city. And it may not be the same pricing as in the states but no matter what the food and service is fantastic.
Swamp Slinger
Great potential, but fails to live up to expectations. The menu options are great. Everything looks pretty good. But failure to execute.

I had the Burrito, it was almost all beans and rice. They really don't know how to wrap a burrito either. It was just all smooshed together.

My wife and I ate there together and it was nearly $40.

For the price, Go to Burrito Del Rio on River... Much better. This place is over priced and second class.

I wont be back
Santiagozambrano1304
Delicioso!. The service was great and the food even more! We had never been to this place before and chose to try it out because we were just passing by. Big surprise! So much better than the other franchise mexican places. I ordered a quesadilla with grilled chicken, it was heaven! My boyfriend ordered a chicken burrito, both very delicious and filling. Will be coming back for sure!
The only thing we didn't like was the music, It didn't seem to fit with the style of the place. We would've liked some mexican or at least Latin American Music instead of the heavy music they were playing.
MrsB
Our food was great my husband was crazy for the queso, the burritos were huge and filling. We were served by a really pleasant cheerful employee Tyger who was very kind and friendly to our hyper hungry kids.

Not quite like the US version but good. I was anxious to try this restaurant as I enjoy it every time we go to the US. But as with Papa Murphys Canada Qdoba Canada is a little bit different than their US counterparts.
For one thing everything at Qdoba seems to be extra, why not raise the price just a tad so customers can choose from all items under the glass save for one or two. As it was it seemed to me that about half of the items were up charge items.
As was already stated in a previous post I too was disappointed that the tacos were not fresh made to order but store bought pre made shells instead.
Other than that the food was fresh and the service friendly and prompt.
I recommend Qdoba if you want a reasonable priced mexican meal.
K.thor
Kthor. As a gluten-free vegetarian with several food allergies it is difficult to find a restaurant in Winnipeg that I can go to and have a quick meal. Heard about Qdoba Mexican Grill and took the time to research their menu online. Their food is fresh, well prepared, visually appealing and extremely tasty. Service is excellent and the restaurant and washrooms are clean. Gone many times. Wish they had a tip jar but I just tip the cashier and she splits with all the staff.

Dishonest in upselling. I have been to Qdoba in the US and twice to the Winnipeg location. I have to say I was not impressed with the Qdoba experience in our city. I had high hopes for Qdoba in Winnipeg after learning Brandon got the first one. Anyways, it boils down second and last experience there. I ordered two regular burritos, one chicken, one pork. Upon ordering down the assembly line, the last girl asks if I want bbq sauce on my pork burrito, "because it tastes better with bbq sauce"... Ok, sure. Then for the chicken one, she asks my dining partner, do you want chipotle sauce on it, "because chicken goes well with chipotle sauce"... Ok, sure. After we get ring up, I noticed that the price is about 1.00 (or .50 per burrito) more than what I ordered. I figured out that they charged us for the specialty burritos, namely, the "chipotle chicken" and the "bbq pulled pork". I have no problems with paying more IF I ordered that, but don't upsell with the guise that it's part of what I can choose from (like Subway) without informing me it's extra$$. It was dishonest and we felt cheated. We told that to the manager in charge and he agreed to refund our 1.00, but I don't know how many people have gone through this without checking their bill and get duped into purchasing a more expensive burrito without their knowledge.
In addition, the burrito was subpar. The tortilla wrap was not pressed fresh (like in some other similar burrito places around town), it was store bought/packaged. Also, they use regular shredded cheddar/mozzarella cheese, not the fresco cheese I have seen at similar burrito places around town. For a similar price burrito, I'd probably go the other similar burrito places around town that offer better quality for my dollar, and with more honest/upfront practices.

Amazing Staff, Fresh Food!. Went there with my wife and kids for dinner. Was helped by a kid named Tyler (?). Super energetic, fun with the kids, friendly, polite, even helped us carry our plates to the table! Fantastic! Kid deserves a A+ for customer service. Food was tasty, especially the chicken. Could have more choices as far as condiments go. Decently cleanly.
Jen Elle Ma
It's alright. Food is filling enough but for the same price, you can enjoy a nice sit down meal in any of the upscale Mexican restaurants around Winnipeg without the fast food atmosphere. Went once so we can say we've been there, probably won't be back anytime soon.
Shannon Winters
One tablespoon of chicken is all they can spare. I got the three taco option with chicken and was shocked when the staff person spread the tiniest bit of chicken out over the three tacos. I could honestly make a much better version of this at home. It was not cheap either, if it was I would let it go. Definitely won't go back.
Kate
Meh, needs some work. expected more.. Went here to get a quick lunch. Had nachos with a naked burrito, wasn't really anything to rave about. Thought the nachos would have more toppings, but just came with cheesy sauce. Felt it was overpriced for the quality of food i was getting. My friend got a burrito and said it tasted great, so if i were to ever go back i'd try that just to see if he was right. Had about five teenagers working. Not one was smiling - or friendly for that matter. Made me question if they actually liked working there. Very stingy with the meat, but over generous with the veggies. Expected it to be like Burrito Del Rio but didn't even come close.
Deliciousfoodomg
Not as good as Burrito Del Rio.. Sure, it's fine if you're in a hurry for lunch or what not, but head elsewhere if you want a decent meal for the price. Qdoba is extremely overpriced and their seasoning/cooking is highly inconsistent. I love their chips and dip, but like I said, the guacamole is a hit or miss at times. The people working the line look like they hate their jobs, too. Either hire new employees or tell them to smile more often.

Excellent fast food. Tried this chain for the first time in Fargo and really liked it. Love that there's one in the city now! It's located on Ellice Ave near the polo park area by the Winners and Jysk strip mall. This place recently opened and is very clean and spacious for a fast food joint.

They offer up tacos, burritos, quesadillas, soups and taco salads. Lots of fresh ingredients - much better than taco time or taco bell. There's grilled chicken, grilled steak, pulled pork, shredded beef and ground beef to choose from.

I usually get the "Craft Two" which is the best option if you're trying this place for the first time. For $8.59 you can select two of their most popular dishes: Mexican gumbo, nachos, two tacos (hard and/or soft with the various proteins mentioned), grilled quesadilla, naked taco salad, naked burrito and tortilla soup. Love the tortilla soup which the serve offered up adding salsa and a protein into it so I opted for the corn salsa and the chicken. The soup is spicy and tangy and just oh so good with great flavour. Went with the two tacos - the hard shell taco is not greasy and kept its shape pretty well and held the fillings in. The soft taco is a flour tortilla, not sure if they offer corn as I prefer corn tortillas. The grilled chicken had good flavour and the shredded beef was tender and juicy. You have 6 different salsas to choose from, the hottest one is the fiery habanero which had a decent heat to it. You get to add cheese, sour cream and lettuce on your tacos. So with the craft 2 and a drink my meal came to $12 total - very good and filling meal. For a fast food restaurant the food had great flavour and tasted pretty fresh and had much better value than a place like McDonalds.

Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Grab a qdoba rewards card (near the till) and sign up online and get free chips and salsa plus other rewards.
Jord Eradicator
Very good burrito- and for 11 bucks, IT BETTER BE.
Ed Ellis
Went with. My stepdaughter... while the food wasn't bad. The burritos had more filler than meat. Same with the nachos. Good salsa, though. We'll stick to Burrito Splendido in the future, as I personally also prefer fresh made tortillas.
Gary06301987
Very good Food! Just awsome. It was quick service and food was so good and consistent everyday.
Will 100% recommend try Qdoba beside subway or Mcdonalds.
Leo
Great Food! Love it!. Same as the Fargo and Grand forks or better! Service maybe need to improve a bit. It is little slow I think all because it is still new. I guess I am there for the food not for the service,.
AAD
Disappointing. I was in the area and starving so I decided to check this place out. The employee screwed up my order and had to redo it, but that wasn't a big deal. What WAS a big deal was the giant piece of plastic in my burrito that I bit into. I had gotten my food to go so I didn't drive the half hour back there to complain, but I won't be back. Thank God I didn't swallow the plastic.

UPDATE: I contacted Qdoba's customer service department and told them about the incident, and they were very prompt at addressing this concern and were very apologetic. Great customer service!
Kst3
We liked it. A bit pricy for a fast food restaurant, but the food was pretty good. Better than the other Mexican fast food options in the city.
The Oakwood Cafe
So Happy!. Finally!!!!

We've been waiting and waiting and waiting.... and this place does not disappoint. It's great to stop in on the fly have a quick burrito and go.

It's awesome!

Good luck!
Dave Todd
Fantastic experience! A new favorite!. Went for lunch last week and loved it so much brought the whole office for lunch today. Food is fresh and tasty, burritos are huge and fully custom. There was as a small line both times we went but it moves VERY fast. Staff are friendly and helpful and the place in impressively clean. The owner or manager came out and asked us how everything was. Best part is watching them cooking and make ingredients as you eat. While we were there the girl was making guacamole from scratch and the manager was making salsa from scratch. In the back you can see the chef grilling meat and sauteing veg. Winnipeg needs more places like this!

-----13 May, 2014-----

Great Food, Fast and Friendly. Service and food was fantastic when we went. Just like it is when we go to the one in Grand Fork. This location is larger and nicer looking then Grand Forks and it looks like they are going to have a patio!
Stacey
The staff is not friendly at all! Its a new place in the city, have some patience for crying out loud. I was unaware that rolling your eyes was good customer service.
Edible Aficionado
Disappointing to the extreme. Love it In the States. Not so much here. My burrito was about three quarters rice and beans with a very few pieces of extremely small and semi raw steak Nachos very skimpy with toppings. What a letdown as I love it in the States. Also was not asked what kind of rice or beans I wanted. Service not very friendly.
Pegcity-girl
Food good, Staff desperately need Customer Service training!!. Been to Qdoba's in the states many times... Today was my second visit in a week, and sad to say but was more disappointed than the first time (where I was slightly put off), strictly because of the staff - they lack a friendly nature, no smiles, unhelpful, seem either tired or confused and NO ENERGY about them - none of them. Chain seems disorganized also. This is really unfortunate, as the food is pretty good. Flavorful, fresh, a bit overpriced with the "that's extra, that's extra"... unsure why when ordering a vegetarian burrito, I'm charged extra for either of the grilled veggies!?. Funny, my friends and family say the same thing - good food, service sucks. I think I'd rather go to Burrito Splendido where I'm always greeted with warmth and made to feel genuinely appreciated as a customer. I'll give Qdoba's one last shot I'm sure.
BD
Let me start by saying I love Qdoba in North Dakota so I was happy there are now to get my full Mexican on.
Service seems to be an issue as I was greeted last night about 9pm to the front line saying ... Not hello welcome ...but Do you know what you want?...fortunately I did so I was set.
Unlike in the GF location, that seems to run like a finely tuned machine, the other 5-6 staff seem to be a bit more fumbly in the back and to trip over each other.
Finally, wasn't given any cutlery or napkins they just tossed burrito and chips in the bag and gave me the
receipt that was covered in salsa .
Hope this was just a one off.
Kyleene
Overall good experience. I went with my 10 month old baby. I had the grilled steak burrito. It was flavourful and moist. My little boy had the lil' naked chicken bowl. He loved it too! I'm glad for the healthy children's options. The staff were great. Because my hands were full holding him they brought my food to my table for me and even brought up a high chair. Very impressed with this kind of service from a fast food restarant. We will defiantly be back
Dj60
Where's the Cholula?. Food tasted good just like every other Qdoba I've been too. The staff was still a little shakey. The only real complaint I had was there was no Cholula just tabasco sauce.
Intrepid Diner
Enjoyable. This Mexican quick serve concept has finally arrived in Winnipeg from the U.S. It is located in a strip mall at the corner of Ellice and Empress. I was anxious to try it as I have enjoyed eating at the Grand Forks and Fargo locations in North Dakota.

The place is fairly spacious. There are a number of tables and chairs along with a few booths. The chairs are not padded and the benches of the booths are not padded either. The backs on the booths do have some padding. The floor is tiled with brownish coloured tiles and the walls range from a reddish/brown to white. There are photos on the wall depicting Mexican culture as well as pictures of food preparation.

The restaurant operates on the same basis as Subway. You go up to the counter and place your order. They feature burritos, quesadillas and tacos. Prices range from $8-$10. The available fillings are steak, pulled pork, chicken and ground beef. There are five types of salsa and three types of sauces that you can choose from. To complete your entree, there are a variety of items like black beans, brown rice, cilantro lime rice, lettuce and the like. Your entree proceeds down an assembly line of employees who complete your order. You pay for the food at the cashier and go find a table. There is a beverage station that offers free refills. A nice touch is the availability of lemon and lime slices to add to your drink. They also serve beer for $4.50.

I had a grilled chicken burrito. The burrito itself is quite large. I thought that the cilantro lime rice was quite good. It had a good flavour and the rice was nice and fluffy. The other ingredients were fresh. The chicken was fairly moist, but not overly seasoned. I would have liked a bit more chicken. The large size of the burrito makes it easy to lose track of the main ingredient.

The servers were friendly and quite enthusiastic. The manager/owner came by each table to check on the customer. I always appreciate the gesture.

They also have a rewards program that you can join. You get a card from them, but have to activate it online.

Bottom line...I think this place has great potential in this city. We don't have a lot of good Mexican places. While it may be part of a fast food chain...I found the food to be reasonably priced and quite good. I will be back.
