Review Falafal House - Winnipeg

Hands down so delicious. Sometimes I get more onion in my potatoes than I would like. However, that inconsistency doesn’t bother me much. The brisket here is phenomenal. It melts in your mouth and just explodes with umami. The falafels are my favourite in the city. They are crispy outside and not dry inside. The staff here are all so friendly and welcoming. Thank you Falafel Place for being so awesome!

Had breakfast here for the 1st time as we are craving for middle eastern food. Their shawarma was phenomenal and my wife liked their steak and eggs. I also had Falafel breakfast which i just find very salty for our taste buds, but the briwns and eggs are awesome. It was great all in all and we will definitely come back abd brong some friends.

Clean, friendly staff, good food with generous portions, comfortable environment. Brisket is a bit salty but melt in your mouth tender, breakfasts options are numerous.

Have made previous attempts to eat at this establishment but it's usually too full. This would be my first successful visit. And it it does live up to its hype. I had the eggs and brisket with extra crispy potato pancake typed with melted cheese. 😋 the brisket was perfectly flavor. Everything on this plate completed each other. I will be back again to try other menu items, in hope for a similar satisfaction.

Has the best corned beef hash in the city. Also some of the better coffee.

The place was very busy when we went. Having heard great things about the place, I was not disappointed. The price seems fair for what we got and everything was clean. You can see the four chefs working hard in the kitchen like a well oiled machine. The spicy bison pita was okay. Not something I'd get again. The bison wasn't spicy and was a bit dry and the pita was packed solid with lettuce. The portion was very generous but the pita ripped in so many places I ended up just dropping it into my bowl and eating it with a fork.\ My wife got the brisket burger (which was amazing). She also ordered a half order of fries which we had to remind them about when they brought the bill and food. The shoestring fries themselves were very salty but not bad otherwise. We would happily go back again in a heartbeat but I'll get something different next time.

One of the best meals I've ever had. Many vegan options. Amazing service. Affordable. Huge portions. Filling! Flavourful. Friendly staff. I only wish I found you sooner <3 :D

The food here is great, just NEVER order through skip the dishes. The order has been wrong every time. Go to the restaurant instead. Then you can enjoy the food, and not have the frustration leave a bad taste in your mouth.

9 times out of 10 I get my order wrong via skip the dishes at this place of service. Last night being the 6th time. 6th time I subbed potatoes for sweet potato hash. Paid the extra. Still comes to me with potato hash. Food tastes good but the service surpasses and leaves me disappointed. Only reason I ordered last night was because someone else wanted it so I chanced it. Never again.

Great place. The owner makes it a destination. It is like a winnipeg Seinfeld episode with each visit. Great service and good food. Potato pancakes. Yum!

I don't normally leave reviews unless I feel strongly one way or another but I thought I would share my experience. On Thursday evening I had ordered from Falafel Place via Skip the Dishes. I ordered borscht, a schnitzel sandwich with fries and got gravy since I knew the fries would be cool and no long crispy because of packaging and transport. My partner ordered the turkey burger and a schnitzel cutlet on the side. We ordered at 8:20pm and our food was delivered just a bit before 9pm. The borscht ended up being ice cold. I'm assuming they served it directly from the fridge and neglected to heat it up. They had forgotten the gravy and the fries were just as I had suspected so I didn't end up eating them. Both of the schnitzels were burnt on one side but I ate my sandwich as I was starving and we gave the other to our dog. I followed up with Skip about the issue and requested a refund for the borscht, and fries and gravy. I didn't ask for a refund on the schnitzel since I ate it. I didn't hear anything back, left a message for Falafel Place explaining the situation and what my expectations were with no response. Today I got an email from Skip the Dishes stating I had received an $0.85 refund from Falafel Place. Like I said, I don't leave reviews unless something is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Falafel Place was obviously the latter. I'm sure the serving staff are great as most of the reviews state, but the food packaging and preparation was terrible. Would not recommend.

The falafel was not awful (it was amazing!) and the blintzes were SO delicious. Our waiter was attentive and the food arrived FAST. I will most certainly be back!

Great place lots of gluten free options and service was good.

my daughter and I went for lunch on a sunday and they were packed! considering how busy they were the service and food was great. they were very attentive .We will be back!

Best breakfast in Winnipeg (vegan option is best) love it!

Went there yesterday with my friend n her fam jam and i ordered the french toast twas tasty and twas very busy too which was good. The hot choco was really good as well. Id go back there again.
