Review Jeffrey's Restaurant - Winnipeg

Super friendly staff really make the experience while the food was your standard diner fare. Burger was tasty and fries were as well. My partner had a club house and she said it was good. If you're looking for typical diner food this is a good choice. The add-ons on the burger added up bringing my burger, fries and gravy to nearly 25$.

Came for the wings. They did not disappoint. Not the crazy discount wings you might get some places, but BIG, meaty and flavourful. And crunchy! Will come again!

Amazing visit. We were greeted by a very nice lady named Robin, who checked our Vax cards and seated us. She was very kind and bubbly. I ordered some wings and then stepped outside. When I returned, my very hot wings were ready to go. I had the salt and pepper wings and my friends also got wings. The wings were delicious and very meaty. We washed it down with pop and water, then left with full bellies and big smiles.

Made a take out order, so I can only rate the food. Food was good, no complaints. I would order again, they did a good job on the wings. Staff was helpful.

This bar and restaurant has changed my life. It has transformed me into a social butterfly. Staff has always been there for me to work me through my social anxiety. This place is truly one of a kind, calming and not to mention the tastiest food like their pizza. If you are in the area stop by to transition yourself into the Jeffery’s way of life! Which is awesome!

Very appealing decor, great food choices and specials, good selection of beverages. Staff was informative, patient and attentive. We will be back. Other people have spoken well of Jeffrey's and they said this was a very good place and they were correct!

For a snowy March nite, the parking lot was full out front, mostly sitting in the bar watching hockey, leaving the dining area open to carry on a conversation of our meal, which was excellent. Had the steak sandwich done medium rare, done right first time! The wine list gave many choices, someone knows their clientele and listens to what they drink. See you again. Was a regular stop for a few years back in the late 70's when Royal Trust was next door, have to come back again.

This restaurant does not care about the delivery drivers who deliver for their restaurant on food Courrier apps, the rules that they have are very unfriendly towards drivers who technically are the customers. Fellow drivers please beware of anti driver establishments and do not support on your off time.

We should have left when we couldn't find the front door which looks like a beat-up beer vendor entrance. We were told it had recently been renovated only to find the only thing that had been upgraded was the flooring. It is dingy, dark, no atmosphere, no music and dirty. We went because they were involved in Burger Week but the burger was barely edible. You would think that they would put their best foot forward for this event, but apparently anybody can now be involved in Burger Week as there are no minimum requirements. Take our advise and find a different eating establishment and think twice about Burger Week.

Great neighborhood restaurant and lounge. Service and food above average and better than expected. The place has recently been renovated and their prices are very reasonable. We shared the platter #2, which had wings, fingers, perogies, and potato skins, which you don’t find often these days. Also shared a pizza which was excellent.<br/>

Ordered from skip hearing good things about this place. <br/>Unfortunately the pizza was not what I expected. The side bacon was more like crumbled fake bacon and the crust had the weirdest texture I’ve ever had before. It was like a combination of cracker, matza bread mixed with a little pizza dough. I was disappointed :( I wanted it to be my new Tony’s pizza since it’s so far away from me now. I would much rather drive to Pembina than eat that bacon again. Ohhh and there was like no sauce. Too bad.

Sort of typical neighbourhood restaurant. Decor was minimal. Pretty dark. They sat our large group no issues. Service was good. Server was attentive and friendly. A few people got the pizza and said it was decent. I had a burger with fries. Fries were good. Burger was not. The bottom bun was hard as a rock. Under a heat lamp too long or something. Not hard to get a burger wrong but they did. Probably won't be back anytime soon.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.  i will never go back.. The lady bartender was sooo angry and miserable, it took me 13 minutes  to refresh my beer while sitting at the bar,,, which wouldnt seem strange except that there were only 2 on of us at the actual bar.... she gave me such  dirty look and projected such anger but yet when she served the female a t the bar beside me ,, she was pleasant.. I SUGGEST  FOR MEN TO NE VERRRRRR GO THERE,,,,   absolutely service  and a shitty atmosphere... stay away>

Excellent place to just hang out and catch up with friends !! Casual atmosphere. The food is amazing !!! The pizza is bar none. All menu items are reasonably priced and the portions are large. The owners and all the staff are very friendly. Service is lightning fast. You won't be disappointed! The band on Friday night is great ! Organized a work event there. Mauro was very helpful in making sure it ran smoothly. We can't wait to go back!! Glad to be supporting local businesses like this one!

I eat here frequently. Food is really good and prices are reasonable. One of the best thin crust pizzas in city. Burgers, fries salads, are also good.

This is a real neighbourhood kind of place that seems to have a lot of "regulars".  I found these regulars super fun to watch as many of them over indulged a bit on a Friday night.  The place is usually packed in the evenings, there's live music and the atmosphere is very fun.  The food was better than I was expecting, the pizza and nachos were both great!  Everything I saw being served looked good, I will be back.

Great atmospher. Awesome food and Excellect service. <br/>My husband and I use to dine at Jeffreys years ago until the service went to shit. The servers use to care more about their social lives then caring for their customers or their personal appearance. <br/>We decided after a year of not going to Jeffreys to try the resturarant again. <br/>This time we had an adorable little lady named Drew whom was very helpful. When she first approached us she introduced herself asked how our day has been so far and when my husband said horrible, she said well how about you give me an hour of your time here to change that answer to good. We chuckled and then she asked if we would like to hear the daily specials we said yes she began listing the specials to us as we asked questions she had all the answers and even suggested specific items on the menu. Throught out our visit Drew kept coming by and singing if your happy and you know it clap your hands, and waited for my husband to clap. She slipped us little pieces of papers as she passed the table that would say SMILE with smiley faces. She made a real effort in ensuring my husbands horrible would turn into a good and when we paid our bill my husband said you know what her and the food really did make my horrible day good. Also want to add in that it is a major change from the previous times we visited jeffrey's she was very friendly attanative and not the normal "trashy" looking servers. The owners must have finally realised they needed to change their staff and good job I must say. The food is always great but the service is what get customers to come back and now that we know Drew is working monday and wednesday nights we definetley will be back on those nights.  <br/>My husband and I may become regulars again to Jeffrey's because of the great food and new great service :)  Thank you Jeffrey's!

You know the type of people where no matter how you try to dress them up or do their hair, they will always look a little bit trashy? Like Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth, or Tonya Harding? This is what Jeffrey's is like - but that's not necessarily a bad thing. <br/><br/>There is nothing pretentious or fake about it. You don't really have to worry about dressing up in a place where there are people sitting in the lounge having beer for lunch. It is what it is and it most certainly doesn't apologize for it. <br/><br/>The menu is pretty standard. Nothing too inventive and you will not hear from your server phrases like, "Today's special is seared Atlantic salmon served with a reduction of..."<br/><br/>It's very, "Today's special is a steak sandwich and a beer for twelve dollars." Swear to God. <br/><br/>But just like those roadside diners out in the middle of nowhere, the food is solid. The portions are generous and everything tastes good. Want chili on your burger? No problem. Condiment packets sitting on the plate? Check. Want a billion refills on your coffee? Okay. <br/><br/>In short, we'll be back.

My wife and I go to Jefferies , for the BEST PIZZA IN THE CITY ! We also love the specials , the people are GREAT , AND ATTENTIVE on EVERY VISIT WE HAVE MADE ! THANKS , FROM, TOSH & SHERRI!

my wife and I have been to Jefferies on many occasions ,as THEY HAVE THE BEST PIZZA IN THE PEG ! I would also recommend the RIBS & SPECIALS ! WE have always been treated as if we were special , WE prefer to eat out at JEFFERIES over any other place in the city! And I will go there to pick up Pizza to take home to enjoy as well ,THANKS TO ALL !

Probably the best Pizza in town. The crust is crispy and the toppings are always fresh. The service, whether you dine in or take out is always a pleasure. The wait staff get it right every time. I recommend this restaurant.

Love their pizza and wings. Not a fan of some staff. Everyone's usually too busy chatting to take care of customers. Especially one lady in particular. I went with my dad, uncle and brothers. We were waiting at the front for 15 minutes just to pay our bill when we were ready to go and our waitress walked past us several times, not caring. and then, standing no more than a foot and a half away from us, she yells to the manager "we've got a walk out! Those 2 old guys sitting by the patio doors!" Needless to say, the impolite and ignorant young lady lost out on her tip. Less than impressed.

Fantastic service, awesome food, lotsa fun!!. I was recently at Jefferey's for a surprise Birthday party recently and we were SO thrilled with our experience!! We choose the large (specialty) pizza (1/2 / 1/2 is available). The pizza was really really good, and i'm not usually a fan of a thinner crust pizza. Gosh, i wish i could remember our server's name as she was insanely helpful!! she tolerated my bf's and my crazy requests (he asked for his tomato slices put on after the pizza was cooked on his 1/2 & i prefer my tomato's diced and cooked) <br/><br/>Separate party room was awesome as well, prices were incredibly reasonable too! <br/>WE WILL BE BACK! (Thursday's is pizza and wing night, great prices!!)

My new go-to wing place!. After walking out of Perkins across the street, after being ignored for half an hour, we noticed that Jeffrey's was open (apparently, they almost never close). Having driven past daily for 5 years and never stopping in, we figured What the Heck.<br/><br/>It was a nice surprise.<br/><br/>Our server was a real sweetheart, and she was super fast and friendly. It was wing night, so I tried a couple of different flavors, while my lovely wife enjoyed some deep fried perogies. We each had a Greek salad, as well.<br/><br/>Everything was very good. Definitely the best wings I've had in a long time. Even covered in smokin' hot buffalo sauce, they were still crispy. That, and the draft beer was cold and tasty. <br/><br/>What were we THINKING going to Perkins over Jeffrey's? We won't make that mistake again.

This is our first time here and we have to say it is the Best we have had!! The server is awesome and so friendly! The portion sizes are huge for the price you pay... Will be. We will back for sure!

Owner. Have been to the Restaurant and Lounge the food is top notch. Service is grate young people that show respect to seniors <br/>This is the best web site for a restaurant I have hit it shows the true menue and the cost for good food and that is a big deal for people on a fixed income.

Best Thin Crust Pizza! Crave it all the time :) loads of toppings. Try it. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely greatest wings I've had anywhere, ever. Big, meaty, saucy and quality breading! Great place to watch the game over some pitchers, too. Pizza and pickle spears are to die for. On busy nights they could use a few more girls but most times the servers and service is good. They could upgrade their projector and get some more beers on tap as a suggestion. Love this place.

Went there for my first time in the restaurant, had a pizza and it was amazing. Our server had recommended it to us and was very attentive and friendly. My girlfriend and I went into the bar area after, band was a little loud but nice environment. Other customers were very friendly and talkative, our drinks got to us quick and our server was polite and outgoing. Definitely going back, we also got to meet with the owner - he informed us of wing nights and other specials. Nice to see an owner on the floor and representing their business.

Went here with my boyfriend in the last couple months for wings on a weekday evening. Server was super rude and demanding. I ended up complaining to the manager about her and she did nothing. & it's way too effing loud in there for a restaurant & lounge. <br/>I will never buy anything from this place again!

Awesome Food!. I admit, I am a Jeffrey's regular. In the past three years of going there on a regular basis, I have never been disappointed in the food! The food is absolutely delicious. The owners are amazing too! When it's busy they come up and serve drinks themselves to help the waitresses out. I'll admit that a lot of the waitresses need customer service training and they definitely need a better system, but everything else makes up for that.<br/>If you go, try the pizza!

We stopped in for drinks and the bartender was very unfriendly. You would think a neighborhood bar would have some friendly staff, especially when there is nothing special about the place. Very average food and service. No real reason to come back.

Worst business ever. In my opinion...Jeffrey's Restaurant & Lounge is the most unprofessional esablishment ever. There was no sound system in the north part of the bar during UFC on Nov 17, 2012. When I addressed my concerns to the manager he was rude and did not do anything about the sound. My friends and I will never go back there. The servers were awesome but the establishment should not be allowed to do business...in my opinion.

What happened?. I have eaten at Jeffreys for years, even a few times a month as it is close to my home. I haven't eaten in the restaurant for quite a few months before tonight. <br/>Everything we ordered was not what it should be. Our drinks, a vodka and orange tall and a Budweiser arrived as a vodka and orange short and a draft beer. For an appetizer, we ordered a village greek salad, which is all vegetables and no lettuce, we got a regular greek salad, lettuce galore. For our main dishes, we ordered a steak sandwich medium rare and a fettuccine alfredo with chicken. The steak was between medium and well done. The chicken in the fettuccine was very dry and even more disappointing was the alfredo sauce, for what little there was, it lacked any taste; I could not taste any butter or cream which are the main ingredients of alfredo sauce. <br/>Listen up Jeffrey's, you need to up your game! Boston Pizza is opening up across the street and even though I dislike chains, Boston's food is consistently good.

It was all good!. We ate in the lounge on a Saturday evening. I had one of the special pizza's and she had the rib basket; we both enjoyed our meals. Our server, Serena, was awesome. It feels like a neighborhood bar, no surprise because that's exactly what it is and we were very comfortable. We'll be back soon, especially since they have bands during the weekend. We have no complaints and would recommend to our friends.

What, I cant hear you... The TV is screaming loud!. We have gone as a group to Jefferies louge a couple times. There are doing everything right EXCEPT, they have the TV's volume so loud you cannot chat with friends. <br/><br/>When you ask the waitress to turn it down a touch, they argue with you that it has to stay that way. <br/><br/>We like the place and it is in the neighbourhood, but they have made it clear that if you want to do anything other than sit and watch the TV's, you are not welcome. <br/><br/>It's impossible to chat/visit with freinds with the volume so high.<br/><br/>The place was mostly empty on this most recent visit, a hockey game was on, and our party of 6 walked out. What a dumb reason to lose customers over. ***SHRUG***<br/><br/>They have made an effort to redecorate and clean the place up, food is good, but service and attitude below poor.<br/><br/>This area really lacks a good restaraunt/lounge, but It's ok, I hear a new one is opening across the street! <br/><br/>The "service" and TV volume results in my opinion that this place deserves the lowest rating possible.

Renovated and New Owners. I have lived in NK for 11 years and went to Jeffery's maybe twice. It used to smell or dirty carpets and even though the food was okay, I couldn't get past the dingyness of the place. On a whim, I went there again in the Spring of 2011 and was I ever surprised! The restaurant has been renovated, the food is hot, plentiful and delicious, and the service is friendly and helpful. I was told that there are new owners. I have been a regular ever since and never had a bad meal there. I highly recommnend their All-You-Can-Eat pasta and salad feature. <br/>PS - I refer only to the restaurant during the day - have never been in the lounge, which has NOT been renovated.

Awful Service. The waitresses seem to not have sections, instead they will approach the same tables as each other, which makes them all spread far too thin. Takes 20+ min to get a drink after ordering it, nevermind how long it takes to flag someone down to actually take their order. I think they avoid our table because we dont tip...when in reality, we dont tip because the service is bad, we actually tip generously elsewhere. Waitresses can go behind the bar and make drinks for their table orders, but if the bartender is absent, they cant take bar orders for some reason, they just ignore people standing at the bar, dont even bother saying "the bartender will be right with you"... they ignore people at last call because people want to clear out their interac tabs... if it's 1:45 or closer to 2, they should tell people who want to pay tabs to wait til 2 because it's last call and people still need drinks.

GREAT wings!. I go to Jefferies nearly once a week for the wings. My son loves HOT wings and we have tried a few places and only Jefferies were almost too hot for him. I always get the Lemon Pepper wings. The service is great!! I went there the first time with my son and it was fab. The 2nd time we went there, the waitress said, "did you want menus or did you want the usual?" I said "I've only been here once. How could you know what we ordered?!?" And she proceeded to rattle off the type of wings we got and the drinks! My son said, "I love Jefferies! It feels like going to a friend's house." They recently renovated their restaurant the new look is classy and updated!

The best pizza. The pizzas are loaded, well worth the price, a large pizza is under 20.00 Jeffries is not a fancy place very casual, just your typical neighborhood place to hang out.
