I was in there getting a gift card, just popped in after work, had some running around to do after that and the gentlemen who was helping me asked if my daughter and I wanted some fries for the road, because we weren't going home for awhile and wouldn't have dinner for awhile. Free of charge he gave us two orders of fries. I would definitely recommend this place. We've eaten here many of times and by far the best fish dinners ever!

I visited this place with my family in January 2022.
Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Very flaky, tasty, and not oily at all. The owner is a friendly gentleman and took good care of us even though we went near closing time. The dessert was very tasty also.
Would go back and recommend.

Its honestly some pretty good seafood. It's not had, very nice place to eat. Their menu has a good selection, will definently be coming back soon.

My husband and I have been coming here for years. We love it!! We are there almost every Tuesday, for All you can eat fish and chips. You can have all you can eat chips with any meal, if you order it as a side. Thursday is all you can eat Fish Tacos. The baby carrots are delicious. The servers are excellent and the owner is very friendly. We never leave hungry. If you join the Mariners club, you get your age in a percent off your meal, up to a maximum, of course, on your birthday. There are a lot of coupons for discounted meals.

It is a breath of fresh air to go to Joey's. The staff is wonderful and what I can only assume was the owner went out of his way to ensure that my husband and I ordered the right meal for us. The decor makes you feel right at home and the food was cooked perfectly. Our experience here has made me create my first ever review on this website. It is worth the trip for sure .

My husband & I love this place!! We go for the fish & chips but have tried other things like the coconut shrimp...which are delicious by the way! I like that they keep improving their menu too, it's nice to try new things!<br/>We particularly like this location, it's very homey & the staff are all very friendly & knowledgeable. In particular the owner, he always takes the time to come over & make sure everything is ok with our meal, we appreciate that genuine personal touch!!<br/>We always leave happy, full & satisfied:)

No better Joey's in Winnipeg. My friends and family have tried other Joey's locations in Winnipeg, and find this one to offer the best service and consistently high quality of food. The manager is friendly and encourages an appealing workplace.

Love it :). Salmon is delicious and it comes with a good portion of salad and garlic bread. I had leftovers for only $12.00!! the only negative was that the soup was cold! service was nice too.

It is still not Ducky's. Joey' s is okay, but you will never hold anything on Ducky's. It is a Mom and Pop shop and better than any fish and chips you will find in Winnipeg

Today was my first time to Joey's and I was very disappointed. I ordered the fish and shrimp. The fish was okay. Not great. The shrimp was rubbery. Didn't not taste good at all. My boyfriend ordered the salmon sandwich and his bun was like a rock. I have no intentions of going back.

Great deal, great food, no complaints here!. Joey's is my favorite place to go for fish and chips in the city hands down! The service is great, the food is great and they always have great promotions going on like buy one get one meal free or all you can eat fish n' chips night (which is every Tuesday)! I always leave Joey's leaving satisfied, full and happy I decided to eat there!

Gross if you ask me.. I am always here against my will. I like homemade places like Ducky's. My parents think this place is the greatest probably because there are coupons for it and it is close to home. There sure aren't many restaurants in St. Vital! The sweet potato fries were a nice change. But my fish was soo gross and burnt and overfried. I didnt' complain because i was with my family and they would have been mortified. My dad though was unhappy too with his cajun styled or blackened fish but they still go there. I think it is gross!!!

No mussels today, which is too bad. Mussels is one of the finickiest foods to make and even great restaurants don't always nail it; this is one of the best benchmarks for seafood preparation. No lobster bisque either, leaving me with Joey's Clam Chowder as an intro. This ultra-chunky soup tastes enormously hearty; unfortunately, most of the chunks come from the potatoes and there isn't a lot of clams around. The paucity of clams leaves the broth lacking flavour--this is a bland soup base.
