I had George’s a few years ago coming home from camping. I don’t like chilli. At all. Their chilli burger was the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. I assumed this was in part because I was very hungry. I’ve wondered since. Today we ordered a bunch of burgers for work. My god was it good! George’s is amazing. These experiences were from two different locations so clearly they’re consistent. Love their food, worth the money and the time. Please don’t change!
I hadn't visited this location for a while but I was craving a quick chicken souvlaki pita and a fat boy for the man. Went inside to order and was impressed with the renovations! I didn't realize they renovated inside, it looks good! They did a great job! It looks clean and nice inside.
Huge portions this place always serves up and great for the price you pay. The Greek salad this visit was ok but my latest visit it was awesome.
We Had the chili fries last time which were good. Went with a poutine this time and shared which was plenty for both of us.
Going to have to sit inside to eat one of these days. Plenty to choose from on the menu.

This is not a place to go for ambiance or service so if the staff don't smile at you, get over it and enjoy some of the best Greek chili in Winnipeg!
These are the kind of burgers I'd make for myself. Honestly, good-sized patties and great toppings. A bit greasy, but dude...it's a burger place, isn't that what you're here for? Fries come in huge portions and prices are good. I'll be back!

Excellent fast-food place.. I'd much, much rather eat their food than eat at any nationally-known chain place. The fries are supplied in such a generous quantity that for most people, a 1/2 order is plenty. A full order is a complete lunch unto itself. Whatever I've had, burgers, fries, subs or even the salads, it's all been very good. I'v been going for almost 16 years now and can't imagine not going there once in a while.
A taste of heaven. Nobody compares to this place! I LOVE, LOVE the poutine! Service is always nice and courteous. I will always make the 30min drive just to eat here.

Best pizza sub in Winnipeg. Mr Sub on Henderson Hwy is a close 2nd. George's pizza sauce is key!!!!
A go-to for me.... I like to hit up Georges every other week or so, my experiences have almost always been positive, the only problem I've ever had was them forgetting to hold the onions a couple times. Considering I've been there about 50 times or so over the past 4 years, that's pretty good. The portions are huge and the burgers and dogs are great. I usually stick to the double fat boy, the double cheese dog, chicken souvlaki, or the Greek salad with chicken. Have not had any bad experiences with the produce in the salads myself.

Good stuff.. George's quickly became a regular favourite in my burger itinerary for Winnipeg. Sure it's greasy, but it's affordable comfort food that always comes in large portions. I agree with "Jord Eradicator" that there's room for improvement on the FatBoy (my regular order) because yes, frankly, the bun is a bit too big for the amount of toppings they put on it. It's not that they skimp on the toppings at all, it's just that I feel that if you're going to give that size of a bun for a burger, then fill it up a little bit more; that's all.
George's is, and likely should stay, a staple place for family and friends to catch up with each other's busy lives, provide comfort to those going through a rough day, and provide a celebratory meal for those going through highs (particularly after passing an EXPRES Test for CF Members, like myself today;)

OK, I liked it, and would recommend it, BUT... I had just a Fatboy... And here it comes... Bun too big for amount of veg, patty decent, chili sauce not prominent enough, shredded lettuce sort of disappeared. Suggestions: more lettuce, another tomato slice, more mayo, more chili, add some good pickles.... C'mon, people! I'm talkin' FAT BOY here! (my friend got fries with his burg- TONS! AND REALLY GOOD!)
No Complaints. Georges Burgers is a small place with BIG food! The burgers are massive and an order of fries is like three orders elsewhere. Plus, the gravy comes in a cup! When you go to Georges Burgers be sure to bring your appetite or expect to bring two thirds of your order home with you. It's everything you'd expect in a good fast food diner. The food is good, the portions are more than generous and the prices are very reasonable. Also, the staff are friendly and provide good service. It may not be for everybody, but anyone who enjoys a good burger owes it to themselves to try a burger from Georges Burgers.
