Very cute, super delicious Arabic food restaurant. I love the colorful decoration of the place. It was small and cozy with about 10 tables. The food serving portion was generous for the price. Lots of options to choose from and the food was served fresh and quick. Between two people we ordered 4 dishes and 2 drinks. All together only costing us $50. It was a lot of food and we couldn't finish it. Definitely recommend.

The Best Restaurant in the Peg! Hands down! The Makloubeh is out of this world (especially the beef variety)! Other good recommends are the Foule & Eggs, and Beef & Lamb Kebab. I’ve been around the Winnipeg eatery scene for decades and nothing stands close to my memory to this beautiful gem of eats!

Recently went with a friend. This is a cool looking spot with colourful decor and art on the walls. Covid-19 cards checked on entry or at the till counter. You find a seat, choose what you'd like off the menu, then go to the till counter to place your order. Food is then brought to your table. The shakshuka appetizer and beef shawarma meal were good, good portions. Didn't like how the meals were brought out at very different times. Also, I've had tastier shawarma plates elsewhere and the chicken shawarma my friend had was dry. I'd come back and try something else.

The Makloubeh was delicious and the portion size huge - easily three meals for some. Beef shawarma was very very dry, as other reviewers had commented. The staff is very friendly, and the service style is definitely cafe, so don't expect restaurant service.

Ordered takeout from Uber Eats and picked up in-store. Great service and atmosphere, has the sense of being a local hangout. Great music. I'm avoiding indoor eating during the pandemic but wanted to stay longer. Chicken shawarma had fresh and tender meat and great portion size. I don't live in Winnipeg but it pops out driving down Portage and I'll definitely order again. Piles of fresh desserts in store and the baklawa looked amazing.

I wanted to check this place out because it's so beautiful on the outside. But it is equally beautiful on the inside, and the music had me vibing the whole time. The food though...mm mmm mmmm. So delicious! We had the hummus with naan and the spinach and cheese "pizza" type thing. Everything was so fresh and flavorful! I'm the type to usually find something I like and stick with it, but there was so many dishes I can't wait to try. We will definitely be back!!

Best Middle Eastern food in town! Must tries in Mains- Koshary, Musakhan. In desserts- Basbousa, Om Ali. Drink- Hibiscus tea, their hot chocolate is to die for, with an extremely rich and creamy texture!
The ambience and the decor are perfect and feels like you're transported.
Very accessible by bus too.
Will definitely be going back multiple times to try everything on the menu.

Yafa cafe is amazing! The owners have all a cafe could ask for, loving caring huge hearts, a friendly warm environment, a twist with their amazing cultural aspects and fascinating tasty food and drinks !!! I strongly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
Oh and the art work on their display stand is outstanding;)

Delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to return to try the coffee and a honey cardamom latte! Great new place to have a quick and delicious meal, or stay for some backgammon and a warm beverage. A must try!

So we've been driving by this place for a month and finally had a chance to stop in. Incredible. Food is delicious (hot and fresh...hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour). Not being experts in Middle Eastern cuisine, we had a lot of questions, all of which were answered with care and patience. They are still working out the kinks but the service was so good, and the whole vibe is warm...fantastic. Support this new local business!

If you are a fan of exotic middle eastern food, go and try this place out. The menu is a little limited right now, but what Rafi makes is exceptional. I can not say enough about how great the food is and such a relaxed atmosphere.

The food was great. Prices are great. Definitely a place to go and order family style to share. Make sure you have plenty of time. It took 45 minutes for our Coffee and Tea to arrive. We went for lunch on Easter Sunday. There were 2 maybe 3 other tables of 2-4 people so it wasn’t really busy. It was also quite noisy when the Latte and other specialty coffees are being made. You can’t hear the person beside you speaking. Didn’t get a chance to Hookah. Perhaps next time. We will definitely go back. Super friendly gentleman serving us. We were a party of 8 and in all it took 3 hours from start to finish including desert.

Yafa Cafe is simply amazing! I was in Winnipeg for a work trip and had seen a friend's recommendation. Everything about this place is lovely--from the food to the decor to the staff. Every time I come through Winnipeg in the future I'll be cajoling my friends to come here!

i visited yafa cafe recently on a visit to winnipeg. i went with my sister and cousin,,,,our grandfather was from palestine,we were born here and love the food that our grandparents made for us. the quality of the food at yafa is excellent....authentic,well prepared and nicely presented in a friendly atmosphere. i will certainly come back to yafa cafe each time i return to winnipeg to visit family and recommend it to many people,both arabic and non-arabic....wishing you much success!

Family run and family friendly restaurant. We tried the yafa spicy chicken, the kabab kofte, the zaatar with vegetables, lentil soup, and for dessert yafa Qishta. Everything was fresh, homemade, and delicious. Process are amazing and the Turkish coffee and fresh mint tea we're great too. Highly recommend. 😍🤤🍽️

Delicious, fresh and reasonably price food. Six of us sampled approximately 12 items on the menu and loved everything from salads to entrees to desserts. Excellent attentive service. The owners were patient in answering all of our questions and directing us to order the right amount and variety of food. And WOW, with tip the final bill was under $20 each. Great night. We will all return soon.
