We had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner at Moxie's yesterday. My steak was perfectly cooked and delicious, along with some yummy roasted potatoes and salad, and the white chocolate brownie was to die for. The manager came out to ensure my severe fish allergy was handled correctly and brought out my meal herself. She was very nice and friendly. What made our dinner even more wonderful was our server Travis. He was such a delight of a young man. He was in fact the most pleasant and friendly server I've ever had at any restaurant. I'm so glad we went to this Moxie's and we will definitely be back again.

Wonderful meal, my son had the loaded burger and just looking at it I was drooling! Lol I had the turkey club. Very good too. If anything I would ask for bun instead of toast

Had the best customer service experience last night here on my husband's birthday. Personalized and Exceptional service by Larissa.The food was great, she checked on us and made sure will were comfortable and when I told her it was my husband's birthday she crowned it on the desert. Definitely love to come back and be served by her again!
Love going here with friends just for the atmosphere. The apps are our favourite, but there’s decent menu variations for any occasion. Portion sizes are generous and the seating is comfortable!
Moxie’s is a restaurant that I hadn’t visited for a long time. It was probably 15-20 years ago that I last had been to one. The only thing I remember from those visits were that the portions were rather large, and the dishes rather unimaginative. Then I got the opportunity to visit recently thanks to the Downtown Biz Patio Tours. That was at the downtown location at the “who will they add to the naming rights next,” arena.
Service was decent, same with food. Moxie's is one of those places you don't go for amazing food. You go for decent food with amazing company. The enchiladas were good, the company I was with was better! And above all else, one cannot go wrong with a peach Bellini!
Great food (lots of choices for all tastes) and even better drinks. I love their patio, it's really modern and comfortable.Staff is almost always friendly and very good looking :)

I recently visited this location and left having had an epiphany about the hospitality industry. It's all about fantasy, and I. Like. It. Sure, label me a creep and stop reading now if you're going to sigh when I mention the gorgeous server, Jessica, with her flowing brown hair and intriguing tattoo and scandalous - very - smile. But this isn't all lust and sex. It's way more. It's the experience she delivered. I can't speak to the decor here, or the crowd or the "culture" because my experience was my own and my server made sure of that.
I went in not really knowing what I wanted, not even very hungry, just bored on a business trip with no friends and nothing to do. I explained this to my server and with a smirk she took my menu away, asked a few questions, demanded I have a drink and then assured me she'd take care of the rest. Gave the "Euro" a try and I can say with certainty that that evening, that was the best damn beer I'd ever tasted (yes, I had more than one). Next, one of the best little snacks I've ever had at a chain restaurant: "Gluten friendly" bruschetta. I had said at first I was only hungry for a snack, so upon delivering it to me, Jessica explained how she just loved this variation of the regular bruschetta and insisted it would fill all my snack criteria. I was given no notice of any of the food I received that night and let me tell you, I loved this part of the experience - this should become the standard. Anyway. The bruschetta? Yum. Rice crackers, who would have thought? Dunking them in a balsamic reduction then into a generous portion of fresh tomatoes and topping them off with the bocconcini - she nailed it, the best snack. Now I'm still a little hungry and she says "I know" and next up some potstickers and shoot, I'm smitten. Next, an empty wine glass. "White or red?" she asks. Red. "Like wimpy red or big red?" Big. “Purple Cowboy” Cabernet fills the empty glass. "Still hungry?" Yes. "Good." Pasta comes next, the chicken Madeira rigatoni. Okay okay enough. Stop making me fall in love with you. Almost licked the bowl. So at this point I'm thinking "where am I?" This can't be Winnipeg. I tricked the boss and I'm actually on vacation right? This red and black dim-lit leather lounge feels like an absolute escape, space and time has been transcended. But it's not just me, I see this woman lighting up faces around the room, moving with precision, grace and ease. Effortless and assuring. Then I broaden my view and the other women working in this lounge are doing the exact same thing. Even after a solid rubbing of my eyes I couldn't, and still can't, shake the feeling that these people love what they're doing. How refreshing to be surrounded by that kind of energy in a chain restaurant. Another glass of wine after dinner and my next day's itinerary is nagging me to be on my way. That's when Jessica strolls over with a plate and a spoon and a smile. I forgot mentioning I'm a dessert guy. Sticky toffee pudding and a monte cristo coffee arrive shortly thereafter. Well now I'll never meet a woman who measures up.
Have I gushed long enough? Have I made my point? This perfectly tailored experience left me reeling. All jokes aside, this experience felt professional and personal. I won't forget the food or the feeling I had while I was there. I won't forget the great and engaging conversation. Moxie's has never been a restaurant on my radar but this place, this location, has something figured out. Every move made that evening seemed like it was for my happiness, how often do restaurant patrons feel that way? A+. I’ll be back (with a diamond ring in tow).
We love Saturday's Tokyo Lemonade special! Mosaic dip and sticky toffee pudding fantastic, staff in the lounge provided excellent service, can't wait to enjoy again.
Nice Atmosphere, Appealing Menu. The food is very consistent and I like the specials and menu options. Service is pretty standard, all things considered. The wait staff are usually fairly friendly which is great, but there's definitely an unappealing clique-y culture bred by the company's hiring practices. The pace of service is quite quick, but can leave some hospitality to be desired when you want to visit with your company a little bit more after you've eaten. Entree prices are pretty fair. Appetizers are expensive for what you get, but tasty. Overall, it's a nice atmosphere and good food.
Good drinks. Was there last night. I love the cocktails and the decor. Service was good.
Gluten free no problem. Went out one tuesday, our usual was packed and I was tired of the 14.00 glass of wine charges, we decided to try Moxies'.
Tuesday's wine is half price and beer is discounted. what a great surprise!
Because I am a celiac and have to be careful it meant alot to me that the manager came over discussed my dinner. We did have one small issue the first time but the manager Justin handled it so great, we dec ided to go back and we weren't disappointed at all there is a decent choice for gluten free and every week it seems they have modified another menu item.
They have also just added live music in the lounge, what a great way to spend a tuesday night ..
I have tried numerous items now and have not had any issues regarding gluten..love to eat worry free
Dinner. We had dinner at Moxie's the service is excellent, atmosphere excellent. I ordered the steak sandwich but was very disappointed...very bland...not your usual steak sandwich. Over priced.
Great new spring menu. They have a very cool spring menu going right now until May 13, I tried the sweet chili chicken appetizer that comes with amazing hand cut chipotle chips!
I have always liked Moxie's menu because it's not a restaurant that is famous for one dish and you feel like that that's the only thing worth getting there. I like their soup, funky salads, steak, even their Asian food.
And of course the atmosphere is hard to beat, very young, very glam.
Good times to be had. Had a good time here and great food. I especially like their cheddar broccoli soup which they are known for.
No matter what I've had here, I always enjoy it, so I don't think most people will be disappointed.
Lunch on the patio in the summer or dining in on their comfy booths. Either makes for a pretty good meal time.

Nice Atmosphere and Good Food. A warm August evening found a friend and I taking advantage of the weather and enjoying dinner at Moxie's. The patio is a lovely self-contained relaxing oasis, with healthy attractive greenery, comfortable seating and great umbrellas to keep out the sun.
The menu is extensive. Several items are designated vegetarian, some vegan, which was great, however, it was puzzling that the Sweet Potato Fries were not preceded by the designated V.
We had a tasty, and colourful Schewan chicken, and a delicious grilled portabello mushroom and veggies on specialty bread. Outside of the cranberries, the salad that accompanied the latter--in lieu of fries--was made with iceberg lettuce, and quite ordinary.
The mango mocktail looked great, but tasted overly sweet and synthetic.
We requested something small and shareable for dessert, so tried a sampler that included the best part of the dinner; an amazing chocolate mousse in a shot glass, 2 chocolate biscottis, an incredible cake with carmel sauce, a wedge of cheesecake (I think)--it was all so good--and generous scoops of ice cream and whipped cream drizzled with chocolate. Wonderful!!! (There was much too much to eat after a full dinner, so I took what didn't melt home.)
Unfortunately, spoons were not provided, and although the server promised them, the ice cream began to melt into a pool while we waited. Finally, one of us found the hostess who immediately brought spoons.
Likewise an appetizer was forgotten, but the manager was wonderful and offered us one gratis.
The waitress was pleasant, helpful, and new. She made a bit of a faux pas, which unfortunately is made far too often, and is a personal pet peeve, assuming that because we were opposite sex patrons that we were a couple. She not only asked the man how he was paying, but placed the bill directly in front of him even after I said I was going to use my credit card.
These things aside, Moxies provided a pleasant dining experience with good food and staff that clearly wanted to please. A bit of tweaking would have made it a perfect evening.
Btw, it's worth the trip to see the amazing, upscale, gorgeous washrooms, so look forward to having a drink and dessert on the patio next summer!
Kid Friendly!. Waitress and including manager Anton was absolutely dynamite esp. with 4 kids squirming around. Food was amazing (6 meals receive A++), service great and the dessert was to die for.
Sometimes waiting for the food to come takes a little too long... but it is most definetly worth it. Atmosphere is great! Waiters are friendly. Food is delicious!

Service by the staff, especially Kaylyn M was awesome! Food was so good and they accommodated some changes we had, no problem! Came here to use a gift card that I received for Christmas and decided that the great service and food will bring us back again!
Had the blacken chicken cesar salad. Only critic was the chicken was too salty. Other than that fantastic customer service! Will be back.
I am rating this place for a Dessert only. Our to go place for a Dessert. Best for couples, or dating people to go on a short and sweet date. Doesn’t cost much and you can order 1 WHITE CHOCOLATE BROWNIE and have a lovely time together. Must visit place for a sweet Dessert Date.
Took my mom out for lunch last Saturday. Absolutely amazing service (Iforgot the name of our server! She was amazing!) Ramen is utterly perfect! Drinks were the bomb! Def. coming back!
