Review Ikea - Winnipeg

Love coming to Ikea to look around. Big and clean, wish we had an Ikea where I live. The cafeteria has a nice view. But there was a lady worker in the cafeteria who basically forced my mom to give her a good review on their pad. Unfortunately when we went a lot of the items we wanted were out of stock (maybe because of Covid?)

Do we ever need more of these stores My local one is a 5 hour drive so I never went to it didn't think it was worth the time and gas to do an 10 hour round trip. Now the fact I can do my whole kitchen for a ½ of the price of local cabinet shops still isn't enough to make me spend a whole day going to the store. Loved the store loved the prices. Went to this one in Winnipeg because it was right next to somewhere else I wanted to go. Come on Ikea expand a little please.

Good price for most items and big selections!! love it!!! Had food there. well, not very satisfied tho.. kind of expensive to eat at IKEA. lol.. Kind of stupid to bring girlfriend and have a meal for two here, which costed me $40 and I was still hungry.

I bought a few items, but the best is the butcher like knife for $27. What a nice tool! Read instructions! But it's great and is finished nicely and is balanced properly...

Poor food in ikea restaurant, I have to say. Parking is easy and employees are kind. That's all. Probably, I will come back for my bed frame and something else.

Always love roaming around Ikea. It is therapeutic. The attention to detail that they put into each setup they create is beautiful. It's a visual overload just walking through and so much home decor inspiration everytime I'm there. And the food at the 2nd floor food court is amazing. Always have the meatballs. There was this one time that they had strawberry champagne cheesecake and it was the best cheesecake I've ever had. The cafeteria downstairs is very cheap. You should try the ice creams with ligonberry from there. Was just $1.5. They have a swedish brand called Almondy that sells gluten free almond cakes and they're exceptionally good. If you find the chocolate and caramel one, definitely get that. Swedish coffee is also very good so you should definitely consider picking up a bag of coffee when you're there the next time!

You will find all home related stuff on cheaper prices. Quality is good. I bought 2 futons and my friend bought bed from IKEA. Easy to install and yes don't forget to read manual because if you miss the step you will face difficulty. Otherwise all good.

Decent quality items, at affordable prices. Store is very large with a nice showroom/display area. Only reason for deducting 1 star is the sometimes lack of stock, and the every so often issue with fitment of the products (doesn't line up, have to make slight modifications). Still one of my go to stores for furniture.

Went to Ikea on the weekend to shop around with my family and we decided to eat beforehand. Bought a plate of food and got a beer. There were no forks available for 10 minutes and many people were waiting patiently until someone finally brought a box of plastic forks out. They said the beer was "refrigerated", but the beer that I received was piss warm and was the worst over priced $6 beer I ever bought. Didn't finish the beer right away so we asked the cafeteria lady if we could walk around the store with it while we shopped and she said yes we can. 10 minutes later someone who worked there said we couldn't walk around with the beers. Wouldn't have cared too much, but if someone says we can and then someone says we can't, it's a little frustrating to say the least. Need some consistency Ikea!

I do not recommend any one who lives out side of Winnipeg do an IKEA kitchen. My experience has turned into a night mare and would never recommend anyone doing a kitchen with this company. I started ordering my kitchen in miid Feb./15. It is now June 2/15 and I still am trying to get the parts of cupboards. I have had to inconvenience family in Winnipeg repeatedly to go pick up one or two pieces at a time, I have made many 4 hour trips into Winnipeg to get pieces and have spent almost 150.00 in shipping buying pieces online that I haven't been able to purchase here. Also had family in Edmonton pick up the Domsjo sink that has not been available in Winnipeg. The fact that you cannot phone and pay for the piece with visa and have someone pick it up at shipping, they have to go all the way to the kitchen dept. order the piece from there, then go downstairs to pay then to pick up area and wait in line. Not a quick easy trip to help you out .Needless to say adding all this extra travel cost and intrusion on family time I would have been ahead going with an other option for cupboards. Sorry Ikea you are not a good option for people outside of the city. But even if I lived in Winnipeg the pieces are still not available. I have everything else lined up and my contractor is on time with everything, electrician plumbers etc. A night mare I don't recommend!

Went for breakfast, says you get tomatoes they were serving oranges Gross! Meal was ice cold!! Toast was just warmed up bread nothing about it was toast! Don't recommend at all!!

Very disappointed when we went today for breakfast!! Pancakes are gone and replaced with crepes and the usual meal deals are different and prices increased. We won't be back for breakfast anytime soon �

I was able to pop into the store, have a quick bite to eat, grab a few things ( and more) and checkout all in an hour! Husband was very happy! Can’t wait to go back!

My god that place is huge!!! Following the arrow lit path made me feel like I was touring a museum, but at least it takes you past all the products in the showroom.

There's plenty of trendy but reasonably-priced items to choose from. Very comfy place and the food is great, especially the swedish meatballs!!!

I bought a couch there 2 years ago which I loved. Sadly when two people sat on it at the same time it snapped. We have the receipt and a 10 year warranty. We submitted a claim and were told that the pictures we submitted are obviously not a warranty issue and rather obvious of using blunt force or jumping hard on the couch. We did neither. We loved this couch and really hoped Ikea would honour the warranty. I mean if a couch meant for sitting on can’t handle someone sitting on it, that to me is either a design flaw or poor quality. Don’t mislead your customers that you will take care of your them when it seems as though there is no interest to do so.

I love this place!! I never leave emptied handed and I always get so many ideas for my house.

We have been Ikea's customers for last two years, recently we purchased beautiful furniture at a very reasonable price, we liked the material, price, environment, staff and the food in cafeteria too. Assembling of furniture was not very difficult too. Overall we are satisfied customers ☺

It was great got a coffee table and end tables for a good price I'd so go back again
