Review Famous Daves - Winnipeg

Dan Jacobs
Understaffed, and the food was coming out at much too low a temperature. It's BBQ, it should be served hot, not slightly above room temperature. You need to let steak rest, but come on. I was sitting right by the cooking station so I was getting it as hot as it came. Makes even less sense when items like the bacon wrapped sirloin were well done (overcooked), so that certainly should have been hotter than it was. Flavour was a bit all over the place. Some items were nicely seasoned, others had almost no taste, and others it seemed like the salt canister was dropped on the meat by mistake. The sausage was mealy (and also not hot enough), too bad because the flavour was nice. Also, the gaucho spent more time chatting with the chef and doing other stuff outside of the dining room than he did actually bringing around the meat. First 30 minutes after being sat I had been given 3 items, and the place wasn't very busy. Definitely not worth the hefty price.

Had Dinner here, we were a group of 4, service was great, prompt, courteous, we were well taken care of. Unfortunately that is the only good thing I can say, the meats were ok but not great and if you got the cut from the outer part it is really salty, too salty. Make sure not to let the meat sit too long on your plate, they taste best right after it has been carved out. I am saying this because the pacing of the rodizio is too fast so dont hesitate to flip that card to red from time to time. I must say the first few meats carved on our table were ok but then the succeeding ones tasted all the same and you will need those side dishes to help refresh your palette and get read of the lingering saltiness. The variety of the meat was a bit lacking too, after 5 different cuts of meat the rodizio started repeating and only seldom introducing the items like the bacon wrapped sirloin and the ribs (they were not good). Overall it was worth the experience but not the cost, it was too expensive for the quality we got but if you are a big eater then you can probably get your moneys worth, probably.

If you`re a hungry carnivore, then this is the dinner place for you! Tons of meat selections that are brought and carved at your table. Lots of sides to choose from. Did find the food quite salty, but the accompanying drinks were delightful! You need to try the one in the pineapple. The price for the dinner all you can eat is a little steep, but definitely an experience you should have if you`re going anyway. There is a separate menu for downstairs that includes individual items.

WOW! Epic food and even more epic service. Great ambience. The lounge is the perfect place to watch the game, enjoy great eats and a solid selection of local IPAs. Highly recommended. #supportlocalwinnipeg #localgood2go #greateats

Meat , meat and more meat. If you are in the mood for having a massive quantity of chicken, pork and beef and beef and beef, this is a great place to go. Everything is served at your table too no standing up to wait in line. Great service. Great atmosphere and all the cuts of meat were deliciously well seasoned. They should offer more rare cooked cuts because everything is basically cooked well done. So overcooked a bit in my opinion but nitpicking here. I loved it.

Great atmosphere, great service, great concept… …meat is over seasoned. I mean really, too much salt!!! I would have had more to eat but had to stop because the meat was incredibly too salty. Not worth the $180 spent for dinner for two. If you have high blood pressure, this place isn’t for you. Way too salty.
Marco Palumbo
The meat was awesome like usual. The vegetables....not so much. They need more variety for cooked vegetables. They have a few salads, but should have more. Just my opinion. I go for the meat, my wife needs more variety than just a variety of meat. Still great place to go for a special occasion.

Ordered a dish called "A Taste of Brazil Sharing Board" and got a taste of disappoitment. The food didn't taste fresh and in my opinion the portions were too small for the price, even adding two extra sides. For $48.00 I expected something better. ***They contacted me a few minutes after posting the review above, although the experience with the food wasn't good, the experience with their customer service was very positive.

This is a hard thing for me, I hate giving negative reviews but in this case I think it’s necessary for change. I have eaten Famous Dave’s 5 times this year. The first time we were very pleased, so we went again the following week and ordered the same things, but most of it tasted very different than the first time (not worth complaining about because we didn’t really know if it was supposed to taste that way). Also, the pecan pie was extremely salty, like as if salt was substituted for sugar - very inedible. The next 3 times were all through Skip the Dishes and the food has never been at the standards of our first visit. Any meat we ordered was over cooked and dry like cardboard. I always order a can of Pepsi because I love the first sip, then I just give it to the kids to share. I have never received my drink on any occasion and was told I had to contact Skip, but the problem is with Famous Dave’s who is responsible for the quality and packaging. I’m sorry but I cannot eat there again. Lastly, I have not received any money back for the two cans of Pepsi I didn’t receive. On the plus side, the corn bread muffins were delicious every time, the bread pudding was tasty, and the sauce on the back ribs was excellent but the ribs are always tough and dry.
William Gelineau
Far better than other thematically classic rib bars I've been to! A bit pricey, but well worth it in portions AND quantity! Would recommend to anyone wanting that country-esque bar scene!

used to love going to the restaurant and ordering through skip the dishes. however i am very disappointed that when i contact the restaurant because of poor food quality and they don’t bother to contact you back.

Nice place, excellent food and great server which my family enjoy it. Thank you and will recommend it with our friends and relatives

I wanted to take a minute today, to thank you and your entire AMAZING staff, for an absolutely wonderful evening last night! The service was impeccable!!! The staff was VERY accommodating with our large party of 13, you made us feel at home, everyone was so friendly and courteous, even on such a busy night (people were lined up outside waiting to get in) and the food was exceptional, generous portions! The Legendary BBQ Feast was HUGE, the 5 of us who shared it, couldn't even finish it, even though it was so delicious! The chicken and ribs were the best, the meat was so tasty and tender, it fell right of the bone and the brisket just melted in your mouth, my husband kept raving about it, all night! Everything was perfectly done, right down to wishing my daughter a Happy Birthday, she was so thrilled with her birthday desert, you made her day! Thank you, can't wait to see you again!

I’ve never gone to famous Dave’s and had a disappointing time there. Food is amazing, staff is friendly. All around great place!

Love the food! Waitress wasn't particularly good, ordered a beer and she never brought it. She didn't leave us cutlery either, had to ask another waitress. But the food still was great
Karen Merritt
Will never go there again. Awful food - spent way to much money, should never had paid for the meals. Sure has gone down hill since it fist opened.
Jude Zieske
We always eat in the bar and the servers are great, short wait times and good food. Love the Wednesday half price happy hour apps and wine specials.
Gloria Thompson
first time there. Our server was awesome and she recommended a platter for me and my son which was delicious
Ariel Alegro
Went there to celebrate fathers day. It was a busy night for the restaurant but they still manage to accomodate us. The food, the server and the place is awesome.
Earl Stewart
Have to admit I'm not much of a meatetarian anymore but my non-meat sides are always awesome. Corn bread muffin is the best.
Kris Firth
Took a little while to get seated and was fairly busy though the hostesses left some empty and clean tables open longer than they should have. The service and food were great despite our server also being the bartender, they were on the ball for refills before being asked and we had more than our fill of food! The Texas brisket is very tasty by the way.
Jillian Giesbrecht
Went for a late lunch and it was very good. Had the classic cheeseburger with fries and a beer. Everything was delicious. Wasn't really busy at the time but service was prompt with friendly staff. Nice setup. Will be back again for sure.
Mitch Daignault
Excellent food and the portion I got was worth what I paid for. Service was excellent!

Went to this place today for lunch Waitress was more interested in chatting then serving Had a burger and wife had a chicken sandwich, bread was stail Won’t see me back Sorry need to address your staff heard of the disappointments by others, gave it a chance but sorry
Tara Lavallee
We went for a late dinner last night, our server was awesome, the food was fantastic, we pretty much had everything she suggested and we can't wait to go back again!
Gabriel Fobister
Excellent!!! fast service Beautiful waitress Great food Love it!!👍🏽
Kels
Food really tastes like barbecue. The decor feels like I’m in someone’s shed but if that’s what they’re going for, it’s cool.
Chantal
Went for lunch today. Food was soooo good and flavorful! VERY fast and friendly service. Also excellent prices. <br/>Next time definitely go for a dinner!

Sorry .... terrible ... hamburger was coldish and dry.Tomatoes were not ripe, french fries COLD. Only saving grace ... for extra $$, was the coleslaw. Can't believe they stay in business, wife had same experience

Been here a handful of times before and Famous Dave's is hands down my favourite BBQ restaurant in Winnipeg!!! Friendly staff, fantastic food, large portions. You really get your moneys worth!<br/>

The Legendary BBQ Feast was HUGE, the 5 of us who shared it, couldn't even finish it, even though it was so delicious! The chicken and ribs were the best, the meat was so tasty and tender, with the right amount of caramelizing, it just fell right of the bone and the brisket just melted in your mouth, my husband kept raving about it, all night! Well first liked the food. I had the chicken fingers with coleslaw and pineapple both were good but would wanted more pineapple for $2.99. Unfortunately the service was horrible. The restaurant only provided one inexperienced (told later by the manager) to serve 15 people. We had to wait an hour for food, no one was asked if they wanted desert and coffee. I arrived late but before our orders were taken. So our party made room for me in the middle but apparently this screwed up our server when it came time to write up our bills so we had to wait an extra hour for our bills. We asked to have the group gratituity waved but that was refused. The manager said they were shortstaffed but I would say very unorganized The restaurant been open for a few years so would they have worked out the kinks. Not sure if will be back.

Got there around 5PM on at Saturday thinking I would beat the rush but there was already a line-up. I was disappointed that they don't take reservations between 5 and 8 PM but I gets that shows they're popular. The wait for a table was only 20min and that gave us a chance to sit in the bar order drinks and look at the menu. Once we were seated we knew exactly what we wanted. <br/><br/>We ordered the legendary feast ($80) for 4 people and it was great! It had ribs, pulled pork, roast chicken, corn, beans, and everyone's favourite, corn bread 😁 everything was delicious and there was so nigh food we even had leftovers. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the fries but I never really like fries anyways. I was amazed they had the platter out in like 15 min after we ordered. Also ordered a margarita and mudslide which were OK.<br/><br/>I like how they have everything ready at the table. There's paper towels, wet naps, all the sauces fully stocked. <br/><br/>This is my favourite BBQ places that I have tried so far and I would highly recommend it.
Leo_the_King
Definitely the one place in the city I would go if I want to feel the truly authentic Southern-style BBQ fest.<br/>I ate here about a month after I got back from my travels to the Southern states and  I was surprised at the resemblance.<br/><br/>I would go with a bunch of people and order the sampler platter which was probably designed to feed a small army.  That way you get all the variety and keep the costs down.

E xcellent! My wife and I are big fans of Famous Dave's in Fargo but did not expect much here. We have found that US franchises usually fall short when they come to the Peg. HUGE SURPRISE!!! Excellent value for the amount of food, excellent quality and the same quirky fun service from the staff. Five stars all the way! I actually found them better than in tbe US.

I am not a huge fan of ribs but I figured I would have to try here. My dad loved his meal and so did my mom. I liked the ribs but could not finish them. I was really pleased with the mac and cheese, grilled pineapple, and corn bread muffins. Would return to try the meal served to you on a trash can lid? (some sort of special-sounds fun)

This is hands down my favourite BBQ restaurant in town!! In terms of food and price, Famous Dave's is better than Loveys BBQ.<br/>If you ever go to Famous Dave's, you must order the Legendary BBQ feast! Whether you're there on your own, with a friend or with a group, you must get this feast! The feast comes with a bit of everything, including a choice of Texas beef briskets or Georgia chopped pork (get the beef briskets!!), St Louise Style spareribs, roasted chicken, corn bread, Wilbur beans, potato wedges, corns, coleslaw and toasts. The portion of food being served will feed more than the recommended serving so be prepared to have leftovers! <br/>Famous Dave's is a solid 30 mins drive from where I live but I still go there on a regular basis! I think that's nuff said.

Pretty impressive decent service and a large amount of food. I will be back A pretty big menu and love their beef with all the sauces. The waitress did a good job of explaining the menu and making suggestions
Timothy963
Ribs were not cooked right right.Meat was very grisly and overall we thought the food was sub par. Maybe it was just that day but we would never go back based on our experience. Too many other great restaurants in town.<br/>Service was good and we had no complaints there.

First time being here after 10 months, previous times before food was amazing. However last night... Idk why but my chicken wings were super dry, the beans were incredibly to spicy, garlic mash had no garlic and tasted gritty and dry. The cornbread muffin fell apart on me. Other people at the table noticed the way to spicy beans and the garlic mash as well. Our waiter was extremely nice but had way to many tables to deal with. When we got there the hostess told us to "go on an adventure" to find our friends even tho they had a table under a name. So we walked through the entire restaurant. The other waitresses in this place last night looked miserable. Nothing like noticing people who hate there jobs. The manager took my meal off the bill, I still don't think I'll come back was a waste of an evening out.
Elizabeth Mary
Very large portions which is not surprising as it is an American chain. Service was a little slow but food tasted great. Overall, Famous Dave's was a good experience.

Tastes awesome, been here a few times. My favourite thing to get is daves sassy salad with grilled chicken. The dressing is so delicious! The service is always average but can't complain. The only thing I don't like is somehow the last two times I've been there Ives found not one but two hairs in my plates which is an absolute turn off. So I guess il be going back but not anytime soon

first time there...we had really awesome service and great food.Pricing was good and an awesome serving of desert if there is a birthday person...ty Mandee....2 thumbs up

I have now been to this restaurant a handful of times and I have enjoyed my experience every time.<br/><br/>I am a very big fan of BBQ meat and this is a great place to go if you are like me. The menu has many different options to choose from but I normally go with my favorite. I really enjoy the Rib & Rib combo and choose a half rack of the original sauced Ribs and a half rack of the Memphis Style Ribs. I really enjoy both of them. All of the different sides taste great, I particularly like the Garlic Mashed Potatoes and the Corn-On-The-Cob. Both great BBQ choices. I also have to mention that the Corn Bread that comes with each meal is amazing. I could have an entire meal of just that.<br/><br/>The service has always been good for me. The staff is always very attentive and they are great at making sure you have all of the different sauces that you may want from their large selection. This place is usually very busy and wait times to get a table can be a little long at times but the staff is usually very quick to turn over a table and get the next group in. The times when I have waited in the lounge the bartenders have always been very friendly and knowledgeable about the different beers and cocktails on the menu.<br/><br/>The atmosphere is very good here. It has the BBQ joint feel that you would expect at a place like this. I really enjoy how they incorporated a lot of local Winnipeg/Manitoba items to their decor. As mentioned, the place is usually full but it is never too full or overwhelming when in there. It has a nice feel to it.<br/><br/>I really enjoy this place and will definitely be coming back again.

Celebrated a double birthday tonight at dinner. Other than the super long wait, which I can kinda understand because we were a group of 22 and that place is always busy, everything was amazing 👍👍 the food was awesome, service was fast, friendly and efficient! We had 4 of the family feast platters and we were all stuffed! Can't wait to go back once I get over these meat sweats!
John Smith
Really disappointed. With all the huge lines to get in I thought I was in for a real treat. But the food was pretty generic. They had a selection of sauces, but there was no real variety in the flavour, just levels of heat. The place was cramped and noisy. And the prices were a bit much for what you get.
Tiff G
Could be way better. Nothing worse then a mouthful of pure fat in your pulled pork, trim the meat people it's bbq 101. When you shred up the pork you take out that huge chunk of fat from the mix, just like you take out the bone.<br/><br/>They have some good sauces available, and their sides are all really good, but pulled pork is the easiest bbq meat to make and if you can't do that right then you can't do any bbq right.
Jared
Been here twice.  Once for lunch when they first opened and again for dinner recently. <br/><br/>The feast for two is huge and quite delicious.  It seemed a little more like a classy Montana's rather than than a high end rib/steak house. <br/><br/>It was a nice experience though, service was reasonably fast and the food was good with large portion sizes.
Sweet Tooth
I've been here many times and was never disappointed. Food always came out quickly, quality has always been consistent. and the staff was always super friendly. My favourite dish from here is their ribs, and I also like their homemade potato chips. They always give too much food and I usually can't finish them all because their sides are just huge. Will definitely be back!
Prez
A group of us dined here last weekend and we were all happy and full at the end of the evening.  The nachos are awesome!  The ribs were excellent and surprisingly the fish was great!  The place was packed but service was still perfect.  The place is very clean and obviously very well managed.  We will be back!

A good place for traditional BBQ. I've been to many BBQ places but this place is just OK, in my opinion. I found the ribs on the salty side. We ordered feast for two and it was huge serving. We ended up boxing the grilled chicken-still a great portion take out. The beans was very good, so with the coleslaw and the fresh warm corn bread was great. Fast friendly service at a busy Friday night. If we'll be back?  we don't know.
Robinwright13
Delicious.<br/>Not cheap but decent price for the food you get. Great place to go to celebrate.<br/>The feast for 2 is great for 2 people who can eat a lot and still have a few fries left over.<br/>The 6 dipping sauces for the fries are fabulous. My favorite is the Rich & Sassy sauce.<br/>The St Louis are my favorite ribs. So tender.<br/>The roasted chicken is so flavorful and moist.<br/>Great sides are fries, corn and beans.<br/>Finally, the corn bread is to die for. Fresh and so yummy. I always eat mine and my boyfriends :)
Madison Martin
Good service, even on a busy night, great food and cocktails. Love the atmosphere! Only complaint is that some of the food was a little salty.
Jepoi
Service was very slow, took a while to get our orders served and it wasn't even a busy night. When the food arrived, I was still excited to dig in as I was really hungry from the wait. Too salty for my taste though. I'd rather have home cooked barbecue.
Intl.Foodie
If you are a vegetarian, turn around! Most of the salads have pork on them which I found rather funny but my vegetarian friend did not. It's not impossible to find meatless meals but it is a lot tougher. <br/>A lot of people love this place but I found everything I put in my mouth to taste the same. Everything was dry, smokey, and only vaguely tasted of real barbecue. My entire dining party remarked on the same. I thought it was too expensive for what I got and none of the flavours were where they ought to have been. <br/>Dessert was good though.
Brendan Kernaghan
Would not recommend. In my three visits to this restaurant, I've found the portions to be quite small compared to comparable locations and the prices to be a little high for what you get. They also stopped giving you chips! Good BBQ sauce, but would recommend a spot like Lovey's over Dave's.
Daniel Smith
Something's missing. I never smell smoke at this place, inside or out. That's one of the things I look for when I'm is Texas or Kansas. The last time I was there we ordered and the food was out at our table in less than 5 minutes. Nice to eat quickly but I also like to relax and chat with my company for a few minutes. Although the meal was pretty good, I did enjoy the fries and chicken, I was just left feeling like I had lunch at a fast food bbq joint. A little pricey too, I guess that's all the overhead.
Monique Rivera
Service was amazing, the bbq sauce was even better. It's a little pricey but it's worth it, the servings are quite big. The only thing was that the corn on the cob smelt funny and was soggy.
Tara Lger
Scared to go back:(. I went with a couple of friends and fell terribly ill about an hour later.<br/><br/>The food was tasty and the service was great, however when I fall that ill that quickly it's not a place I will attempt to go back to! YIKES!
Chyna Pug
Found the food extra salty. Had the chili, not my favorite. Onion strings were good in small amounts because of the salt. Had the brisket, meh...the leftover are still sitting in the fridge from 3 days ago.
Ron
No word of a lie our meal was served within five minutes of being taken. The food was just ok but not worth the price
Nicole.dhilly
I hate this place. I like the food but the ribs had too much sauce which was kind of spicy. Montanas is better

If you don’t own a smoker you will love this place. I thought it was good before I did. Once I bought a smoker and started smoking my own ribs, brisket, pork shoulders and chicken I tried Famous Dave’s again and realized it fills you up but that’s about it. The flavour is disappointing. The brisket is tough. Ugh. If I want great barbecue I’ll make it myself.

Decent. Went here on Wed for dinner and we were promptly seated. Ordered the Feast for $75 and it fed our party of 4 with some leftovers to spare.<br/><br/>The ribs were small and dry, it was well seasoned but not at all juicy or fall of the bone and seemed to have sat under heat lamps. <br/><br/>Brisket and pork (we chose half and half) were well seasoned and juicy - the pork was my favorite dish in the entire feast. <br/><br/>The order came with an entire chicken quartered up and was cooked perfectly and came soft and moist. I found it lacked flavour but the tenderness and sauces made it for that.<br/><br/>Corn was mushy for my taste and didn't enjoy the texture but others in my party liked that very much. <br/><br/>Sides were wedge French fries, coleslaw, baked beans and corn bread. the Coleslaw is one of the best coleslaw I've had in the city. The ratio of mayo to the veg was right on and the flavour had the right balance between sweet and sour. Rest of the sides were average but I did like the corn bread. <br/><br/>I'm not much of a sauce guy and did not really like any of the sauces offered on the table for except for the sweeter sauce.<br/><br/>Service was relaxed and could have been more attentive as we had to ask for refills ourselves on a few occasions. We at around 5:30 and the place was not very busy.
ELF
Mmmmm Good.. I'm not usually a fan of chain restaurants, but I found this to be good quality for a BBQ joint. <br/><br/>The cheesy burnt ends were soooo good, as were the memphis-style baby-back ribs! I thought the service was good and prompt for being such a busy day (Mother's day). The only complaint is that for a side of mashed potatoes with a burger... to get a tablespoon worth at best, was laughable.
Ichaz
8.5/10. Love their food. the service is slow tho, we waited for our food for a long while. the server's nice and all. its my first time there, but nothing much to say.
Karen
We previously ate at Famous Dave's in Montana and wanted to try it again if we were ever in Winnipeg. Well, it definitely is NOT the same!! The Famous Feast was a lot smaller, VERY over priced, meat and corn were dry and fries were super salty. My husband had a coupon emailed to him for his birthday to use at the restaurant, they would not honour the coupon to use because of what entree we ordered! They applied our coupon to someone else in our dinner party's bill instead. We thought this was really rude and ignorant! They could have at least offered my hubby a free dessert or paid for his beer. The manager will be receiving a phone call in the morning to hear my complaint. We will never go back to this location again. The waitress was really slow and brought out the appetizer/salad the same time as our food. She didn't give a sauce demonstration to our family who have never been to the restaurant before...I guess that's what you get with careless teens being the employees!

Delicious!!! Feast for two was more like feast for, four. Absolutely everything was DELICIOUS. Fav BBQ in the city .
Batman
Went there once maybe two months ago. The lounge is small but the service was good and fast. Happy the had pbr on tap and I got the brisket sandwich and it was excellent. The corn was also good and beans were alright. It's a bit pricy but well worth it
Cestlavie143
Giving famous faves a second shot, as my first visit was during grand opening weeks and ribs were not impressive. <br/><br/>Yesterday dinner (5:00pm). Shared a legendary feast. Service was quick, received our order within 10 minutes. RIBS WERE SO DRY AND AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. Waitress claims they are juicy and fall off the bone. Not even close to her description!!! Brisket was dry, fries were hard, beans and coleslaw were alright. The good things about that feast was the chicken and corn. <br/><br/>Complained to the waitress but she did nothing but try to say the ribs are juicy. We got toooo hungry to wait any longer and are everything but the ribs and brisket.
OinkOink
Just OK.. Service was friendly and prompt. Restaurant was a bit empty for a Friday night. Famous Daves is the same as any other chain restaurant in terms of service, decor, and price. <br/><br/>I ordered the combo platter with brisket and chicken wings. I like their spicy BBQ sauce, the spiciest one (Wilbur's revenge) is very hot and I needed a lot of water for it! The brisket was tender and flavoured with BBQ sauce, but despite that I found it bland and not too exciting. The mac and cheese had a nice spicy kick to it, which I enjoyed. The green beans with bacon barely had bacon and it looked like they came out of a can. My favourite out of the meal was the cornbread muffins. It's sweet, but not too sweet like other places.
Amber
Best BBQ. Love this place. Have been here many times since it opened up. Meat on the ribs just falls off the bone. The Legendary feast is also a personal favourite.
Canuck
Inconsistent quality.<br/><br/>Very quick service, placed order for drinks and dinner. After 2 or 3 sips of my beer, our dinner order arrived. Mac & Cheese dry like it had been sitting for a while. Baby back ribs were a little underdone and almost cold, like they had been cooked quite a bit earlier and quickly warmed up and served. Had Pecan pie for dessert and crust was a real deep brown, actually very overdone.<br/><br/>Use to serve a small basket of chips but I guess this has been discontinued. Too Bad.<br/><br/>Loved Famous Dave's in St. Paul Minn. Unfortunately this location has never lived up to the same standard as far as quality, serving or price.
FillitUpWinnipeg
Always GREAT!. Since I live by the Transcona area, I tend to frequent famous daves quite often. It's delicious and filling. We always order the Famous Feast for 4-6 and have plenty of leftovers. We do switch the beans for something else like broccoli or potato salad. Service has always been good to excellent!

The one in Minneapolis is waaaay better!! <br/>I go every year to the one in the mall of America and when I heard we were getting one here I was excited. But when I tried to go the first few times, the line up was horrendous! I ended up going to Olive Garden across the street. Finally I went one night and it wasn't busy at all, it was actually quite dead, only a few tables which doesn't surprise me because the food didn't even taste that great. Nothing compared to Minneapolis. The service was awful, and here's the saddest part: I had a few drinks in me which usually means everything I eat is amazing (let's face it, we've all been there), and yet to my surprise, the food still wasn't anything special. I was quite disappointed and a little embarrassed because I was on a date and I had ranted and raved about how amazing this place was. It did NOT live up to its name!
Outandabout
Inconsistent food.. We have had very inconsistent experiences - our first visit shortly after this restaurant opened was amazing and we were raving about it! Unfortunately, our last two experiences were mediocre. Most recently, the meat was dry and service so-so.
Gothfeary
Oh my god this place is everything a good family BBQ place needs to be. Awesome service and amazing food!
Fjambone
Went last night before 6 first time great food. We had the Legendary feast for 5 of us, and some sampler app could not finish awesome chicken . next time I'm gonna have that on its own.
Jon Adaskin
Went last night! We were a.... Went last night! <br/>We were a group of 7....4 adults, 3 kids. <br/>We had a mixture of wings, chopped pork sandwich, and chicken fingers. <br/>Food was really good, but the chopped pork sandwich was the star of the show for sure (in my opinion). <br/>Service was quick and friendly, very nice staff. Didn't wait too long for food to come. <br/>Didn't have dessert, too full. <br/>Cost around $80 for all 7 of us....u do the math, not too bad at all! <br/>I'd definitely recommend trying it out if u haven't yet, really nice.

Wow. Great bbq food<br/>beats danny and bucks and woodys in all aspects<br/>they could learn a lot by visiting your location
Blondie11
Great BBQ ... Make sure you order the feast for two! It gives you a great selection of the most popular menu items on one extremely generous platter. The feast for two could actually feed 3-4 hungry people. We always have enough to eat for lunch the next day. Also, enjoy having a variety of sauces on the table so you can switch it up and add as much sauce as you desire. Service has always been courteous and efficient.

Overpriced for mediocre food. Went to Famous Dave's for dinner last night. The food was okay, nothing fantastic - definitely not worth the price for what you actually get. They are plentiful with the fillers (corn, fries, cornbread), but not so generous with the meat, but that was okay because it wasn't even that good. I left full, but not impressed with much. An okay place if you want to stuff your face with mediocre barbecued food, but nothing tempted me to want to go back. Also, if you are a vegetarian or don't eat beef or pork, avoid this place entirely (a member of our party who chooses not to eat beef or pork ordered the nachos with chicken as the meat, however they were covered in pork).

Wet Wipes and Farts. American Franchise BBQ eating at its messiest. What you get at Famous Dave's is ribs, meat, cornbread, briskets, meat, beans...and yes, meat. So much meat in fact that your colon will punish you later. A potentially overdone Woodsman vibe that crosses the border into kitsch. What else would you expect from an American BBQ house? A bit pricey but it will fill you to brim and the flavours are there for sure. Be prepared for messy eating and a burn on the way out...if you catch my drift. Not for everyone but maximizes what it sets out to do.

So Delicious!. Famous Dave's is way too good. Seriously. I could eat the Georgia Chopped Pork any day. Their fries are tasty and out of the ordinary. The feast for 2 is huge, more like a feast for 4! My husband and I ate til we were full, took home leftovers and had another full meal for both of us. Our 1 year old son can't get enough of their corn on the cob, he likes the pork too if he is in the right mood.<br/><br/>We will be back probably far too often.

New Favorite for Meat. Went here for my birthday. Waited an hour to get in hoping that the wait would be worth it. Was it ever. Tried an appetizer of burnt ends and onions strips which were amazing. Me and my wife both had 1/3 slab of ribs with boneless wings and mac and cheese. The ribs were superb, the chicken wings were super juicy and tasty and the mac and cheese was great. I loved the choice in sauces. I actually loved one (Devil's Spit) so much I bought a bottle of it to take home with me. I will definitely be going back to Famous Dave's again real soon.

Mothers day dinner. They ran out of chicken and beef so basically just pork feast. I like their chips and variety of sauce. Their chili taste too sweet for me, the corn muffins is normal. Would probably go back but I'll make it sure that they have the chicken and beef next time.<br/><br/>The staff are friendly and awesome. :)

Soooooooooo full. Surprised how good the ribs were<br/>i thought they would be "fast food" ribs but actually were quite tasty<br/>corn bread was okay<br/>beans were okay

That was Dang Good!!!. Went Friday evening April 5 2013 with my family<br/>There was a bit of a wait<br/>Hostess was extremely friendly<br/>Service was fantastic with them making sure my child was part of the service.<br/>Was given a sauce tour of all the sauces.<br/>We had Ribs / Fish / burger<br/>Food was fast , hot and tasted great. Was really surprised how well the fish tasted.<br/>Will be back very soon <br/>Well Done Famous Daves!!!!!
Squishy
BBQ nothing special compared to other BBQ places around. Love their brisket nachos, meal in itself.
DER
Dropped in and had a couple of brews and a half slab or ribs. They were excellent! Very meaty, the sauce was just the way it should be, sweet, gooey and sticky. I'll be back.

Pretty Lame Food. I went to this place for a quick dinner with two others and I thought it was a little lame. It was very cute having the server explain all the sauces and introduce herself as Famous *****. I like how they have a quick 2 go option which is very handy for people looking to pick up a quick meal. They also sell the their sauces so that you use them at home. However, despite the excellent service I just found the food lame. The sampler platter we had was not worth ordering again. My friend order the Pulled Pork Sandy with a side of Mac and Cheese. When it came out it looked like a Dempsters bun with a couple slices of pork and BBQ sauce. That was it! No coleslaw on the bun, nothing to add to the sandwich, and the Mac and Cheese side was one bite worth. I just don't think the food is worth returning for, and their beer and drink selection is not my type unfortunately. I don't hate the place and would go back if invited by a friend or for a birthday etc, but I don't think I will be going back of my own accord.

Awesome. I have been to Famous Dave's in Winnipeg twice and both visits have been outstanding. Frist trip was for dinner and I had the rib and wing combo. Boneless wings are good, but I prefer the traditional wing instead. Ribs were fantastic. Friday I had lunch there with some guys from work to celebrate National Pig Day. I had the lunch menu rib and wing combo. Only two ribs, but they were big and meaty. Along with the six wings, a side of Wilburs beans and cornbread muffin there was plenty of food and good value. Will absolutely return. I have been going to Dave's in the US for years and they are very consistant in their product.
Max
Not the best but good. Good sauces. Meat is well prepared. Will be back.

Okay. I had the 2 meat dinner, and chose brisket and chopped pork. For my great tasting sides i had wilbur beans, and an extra corn bread muffin.<br/>I found the meat quite salty and the brisket very fatty, and tried to wash it down with an iced tea, but couldn't drink it because it was way too sweet. I like sweets but this hurt my teeth, had to dilute it.<br/>Everyone else at our table enjoyed their food. My wife had a cajun chicken sandwich, and she was happy with it. She also ordered a caesar, but didn't enjoy it because it was made with scotch and had a slice of bacon in it! What a waste of scotch and bacon haha. However our server brought out another "normal" caesar without any issue.<br/>The service was great! I believe Dakota was our server's name. The food was hot, he explained the types of bbq sauces, and it didn't take too long either.<br/>I'll try something else next time to see if it was just the smoked meats that were salty because i think everyone else at the table were happy.

This place is awesome. I love it. Always get the ribs. And I highly recommend the diet Mountain Dew . Always fast, always epic

Great service. I've been a few times and the food has been a bit hit or miss. The last time, my corn cob wasn't completely cooked. I wasn't planning to mention it to the server but it slipped out. When we got our bill, we noticed he took off $10. Something similar happened the last time we had gone (they were out of dessert, so we got a reduced bill). <br/>I've worked in a restaurant and I'm very aware that stuff like that happens all the time. The difference is when they acknowledge it and do something about it, by either reducing your bill or giving you something complimentary. I can say if they didn't, I wouldn't be back. Oh and if you haven't tried the Wilbur beans yet, do. They are amazing.
DillBurgar
Horribly horribly salty!! Had a combo platter with rib tips. Everything was sub par but the rib tips we're completely unacceptable. You couldn't even feed them to starving dogs. Also the girlfriends brisket was all fat no meat.

Only had to wait a few minutes, service was ok she was young. Intro to sauces was nice. The complimentary bbq chips was yummy.<br/><br/>The food was AMAZING! The portions were just right and the flavour was off the charts!<br/><br/>I will Definitely be going back again.

Just Okay- Not worth all the hype.. I set my expectations high as we've enjoyed our FD's experiences in the USA. Unfortunately, the quality/quanitity did not produce value for money.<br/><br/>Immediate seating in the bar at Noon on a Friday. The restaurant was very busy. Our server, Julie, provided great service to our table and kept it up throughout our entire visit.<br/><br/>We had the Feast for Two as we wanted a variety despite the Burger and Chili-Cheese fries looking pretty good and recommended.<br/><br/>The corn was nothing special, but we weren't expecting the excellent corn you buy during the summer at the roadside stands. The ribs, beans and coleslaw were all okay. We thought the chicken had the best taste of the entire meal. The cornbread muffins were good, though they should send out the whipped butter with the meal. The feast has LOTS of fries which were okay.We went with the pulled/chopped pork vs. the brisket. The pork was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. It was very dry and had to be brought back to life with a good helping of BBQ sauce. They also serve the pork over a slice of texas toast which looks like an attempt to disguise the VERY small portion.<br/><br/>Overall, I was disappointed. For about $60, I'd rather spend my money at another all-u-can eat rib establishment on Regent. Thankfully, Julie gave us great service. We will go back and try the burger & Chili-cheese fries, but we won't be rushing back.

Sadly I have to say that I will not return to Famous Dave's. Two poor visits is enough for me. The first time I ordered the Caesar salad and it came overdressed soggy and warm? Gross. We went back today and I tried the Sassy BBQ Chicken Salad. I am somewhat 'sensitive' to MSG and have been feeling downright sick since lunch, 8 hours ago! Frustrating that I can't even find a salad without all the 'extras'
Tim
LOVE it. These people GET customer service, they guys get it right every time! I've now toured their menu and their value for money is excellent! The down to Earth service is tops and we love the decor. Very warm and inviting. We've sat on both the lounge side and the restaurant side, same great experience. Keep up the great service ya'll. ;)

Habanero Habit. I was prepared to be a hater because I tend not to like American chains and their mascot is a cannibalizing devil-pig. <br/><br/>We were seated in the bar in a booth beside a window, which was actually very nice. The acoustics were good, the music was catchy; and I enjoyed the complementary introduction to their signature sauces. The meal itself had a full range of flavours from black pepper to hot chilli and horseradish through to piquant onion. <br/><br/>Service was good, portions were large, and the price was reasonable.

Absolutely love this place!! Great food, good times!! Loosen your belt before you eat!!!

I've been to Famous Dave's twice now and both times were amazing. Had amazing service both times and the food was pretty great. Had the normal ribs the first time and wasn't the biggest fan of the sauce but they were still pretty good. The baby back ribs that i had the second time were to die for! I can't really rave about the sides that come with meals as they are pretty basic and some aren't too flavorful but the baby back ribs make up for it. Definitely will be back!

That's all you've got?. OK, I know you're not supposed to compare a franchise restaurant to its' US counterpart; but I can't help it with Famous Dave's. Apart from the fantastic flavour of the food, the minimal amount provided opposed to locations in the US is insulting. I ordered the Combo Platter with 2 meat choices. Thankfully I went during the lunch hours and paid only $11.99 for it because this was only about 2/3rds of what was served to me in the States, and if I went during normal hours, it would have been at about a 30% premium price. This is by far the worst thing about US franchises expanding into Canada is that they know they can take advantage of Canadians who will pay more for less. Couldn't they even just serve the same amount for the same prices and make relatively the same profit margin? Nah, that'd be too nice to give the same prices to Canadians as Americans (even though the dollar is par now). Oh well, back to local Winnipeg places for me. I'll keep the US dining experiences for when I travel to the US.<br/><br/>Food flavour: 8/10<br/>Atmosphere: 8/10<br/>Portion Size: 6/10<br/>Price: 5/10 (if their lunch prices were regular price, I'd give it an 8/10).
Krista
Flavorful food & prices on par with similar type chain restaurants. Really enjoy the different types of sauces available & staff are extremely helpful & nice. The wait can be long depending on what time you go. Similar to red lobster wait times for dinner, so don't be surprised when you go on a weekend night at 630 & have to wait awhile.

Famous Dave's is a favorite restaurant to stop while in the States but the new Winnipeg location doesn't measure up. I know southern BBQ and what to expect from meat that's been smoked. I know what's over cooked. If the meat and bone is black and the skin on the ribs gas a texture of paper - it's over cooked and not fit to serve. Also - the chopped pork is disgusting. Usually this is my favorite FD dish. This location doesn't understand that you cannot serve it with all the pig fat mixed in. My chopped pork was over 50% fat. Yuck. <br/><br/>Now since it was hard for me to accept that my favorite restaurant is a dud (at least here in my home town of Winnipeg), I have been there 3 times at the insistence of friends and family. The same problems persist - its been over 3 months now. You would think they would have figured out that their brand of food is mediocre. Do yourself a favor. Check out Loveys on Marion. Their feast is great.
Shelley
Long long wait, very slow waiter/waitress staff!! Food is terribly terribly salty and expensive!! Try Danny's BBQ and smoke house if you want good BBQ!! Will never eat at Famous Dave's again now that Danny's is in town!!

Finally some good barbque!!! After wasting money at other places for what I was looking for famous Dave's deliverd. Feast for two was actually a feast and the sauces were amazing. Wilburies revenge sauce made me feel like a kid again. The ribs, brisket and half a chicken fr 30 bucks fed me and te girlfriend for about 3 days. They even give you barbque home made chips while u wait for your food along with an explanation of all the sauces by the waitress. The baked beans were the best I've ever had and alone would make me go back. Checkers one draught selection also. Check this place out get the feast for two and youll leave happier than a man with beans brisket chicken ribs and chips!! Oh yah the wife said she lived it also!

Thank goodness Dave's is here at last. We have eaten at famous Daves thruout the states and never had a bad meal. The recent visit to WInnipeg proved to be the best one so far. The food was amazing, service great and price very reasonable. Never had such meaty ribs. All other rib joints pale in comparison.
Fooded
Went there on Sat night(my bad but was hoping snow would keep people home)and it was very busy very noisy and crowded. 20 min for app and drinks. Once food came was disappointed. Rib tips were gristly and not very tasty, ultimate burger was good, the St. Louis ribs were cooked properly (not boiled off the bone) but the sauce and rub were nothing great. The brisket sandwich wasn't even as good as Montana's. It was not worth the trip and time and I was looking forward to this place after eating at the Dave's in the states and having great meals there.

Waited forever in line ... The service was good .. Friendly and fast and we had unruly kids with us but the server was patient and nice ... Didn't like the BBQ ... Found everything wayyyy too salty ... The Mac and cheese was tasty .. And the selection of sauces was neat but overall a dissappointment ...
WpgFoodie
Mediocre. Went there for brisket sandwiches with some of the guys after a day in the country riding bikes. Found the service decent, atmosphere annoying, and food mediocre. Brisket sandwich with pickles was just........meat on a bun. <br/><br/>Had the ribs another day, and found them too tough and pink, sticking to the bone. I prefer "fall off the bone" ribs like you can find at Danny's BBQ Smokehouse, however, the pork must be slow cooked or baked for this to take place. <br/><br/>Seriously, why so much junk on the walls? The atmosphere is obnoxious.
Kyle
Befor walking in you could smell the deliciousness radiating from the restaraunt. Our server was amazing, super friendly and thurough. Gave us the tour of sauces. The meal was so flavorfull and very well seasoned. Also the decor was very well done. I was happy not to see animal heads all over the wall like at montannas
KSparks
My family and I went there one evening, and I found it to be... Average. Yes, their sauces are great, but the food in general was the exact same as all the other chains. Nothing special, and when we left and saw the gigantic crowd of people waiting to be seated, it's certainly not worth the wait. Also, the server who was taking care of us was very inexperienced, so if anyone out there has severe allergies, err on the side of caution because our server was clearly not familiar with their cooking processes or ingredients and didn't seem to know how to answer our questions (I don't think she knew to ask the cooks or to provide alternatives).<br/><br/>It was my husbands birthday a few weeks ago, and so the whole family was going out for dinner. No one else other than my husband & I had been there yet, so that's the restaurant that was chosen. We were going to meet there at 5:30 on a Friday evening. Having seen the crowds last time, my husband and I opted to get there early to secure a table for the 8 of us. We were told that until 70% of our party was there, they wouldn't even put us on the list. Excuse me? We were there an hour early to avoid exactly this situation. We told them not to bother, and called ahead to the Olive Garden, explaining our situation. They were more than accommodating, and even sat the two of us at our table for 8 right away while we waited for the rest of the family to arrive. Customer service is everything.
Kerry
We went for a birthday celebration. There were six if us so we ordered the Feast. We all really enjoyed everything except perhaps the fries which were (I think) frozen wedges and ok but not too interesting.
John Kane
Not bad. Had feast for two and we had a lot of leftovers. Picked it up and ate at home, but the take out counter girls should not be working in customer service
Reg
Tried it twice, both times my ribs were way over chared on the underside (burnt and not much meat on them). Chicken was very dry and brisket was flavourless and a tiny portion. My chicken wing order was screwed up and not corrected until I was almost finished my main course. Side dishes were very good but a bit salty. Service was not bad except for the one mistake. But my biggest complaint is that this is a franchise restaraunt and just like a Perkins or Montana's, everything is more than likely delivered in a bag and dropped in boiling water and then served. I found other FD franchises down south to have better food. I think once the novelty wears off we'll be left with just another Boston Pizza like restaraunt.
The Dr.
Wow, just Brutal!!! From the food to the service, it was all just terrible! 40 mins from order to food on the table, 3 of the 4 orders were wrong; food was cold and bland... pretty sure the mac & cheese was drywall!! From our server to the manager; NO ONE new what was going on!! Never again!!!
Mary
Stop in at McDonalds first. After reading reviews we expected the wait but TWO hours just to get in??? Plus, because they are so busy, you have to wait again for someone to take your order. AND again for them to bring you your food. Finally again for your bill. The food was good, not great - but not worth all the waiting. Stop at McDonals first - it will help with the wait. We started a 6 and by the time we were finished it was 9:30. Good thing we didn't have plans.<br/><br/>I think the prices are decent for what they serve and are in line with similar places as Montana's. <br/><br/>Like I said the food was good but not great for the wait. Not impressed with the appetizers. Portion sizes varied. The Cod Fingers were dissapointing and very small. The string onions are thinly sliced onion rings with a medium spiced batter and came in a large bowl. (deep fried and very greasy) <br/><br/>They have six different sauces you can try with your meals from mild to "Devil's Spit". This was the best part of the entire meal. All meals come with a corn muffin that are not very flavorful. (if you like Joey's Only muffins, you will not like these ones). The sides were - well sides, nothing special. They do have something called Drunken Apple as a side. Supposedly made with Ammeretto but I couldn't taste any. It simply tasted like apple pie filling. Good for dessert though.<br/><br/>All in all I don't think I'll be back until the novelty wears off.
Kristina Manaigre
The food came out within 5 minutes of ordering it which might explain why it was barely warm. The sauce on the pulled pork was cold and the broccoli Side I got was very salty but otherwise good. I thought the Mac and cheese side was probably the worst side and worst Mac and cheese I've ever had. Not worth it I could BBQ pork and pull it apart and it tastes the same as them roasting it for 18 hours or whatever. but hey I can say I tried it. Probably won't go back unless I'm with people who haven't experienced this place.. The staff in the lounge fooled around a lot and were extremely loud as if they were on break the whole time.
BrigetS
Can I have some more SALT with my order?. I have had Famous dave's in other cities but for some reason here it is CRAZY SALTY. The corn bread is excellent..but it;s hard to mess that up! The ribs are always overdone. I don't mean 'fall off the bone" I mean nearly burnt to oblivion! Apparently there is no one that checks the food when it leaves the kitchen. The chicken is what it is....typical dry restaurant chicken. The wings are decent but when I asked if they were breaded the waiter had no idea. He says "no one ever orders those...everyone gets the boneless" really?! Who trains restaurant staff these days?! seriously! Same waiter forgot our drinks while making small talk with the waitresses and twice now they have been out of cornbread. The management here needs to get things straight. It's good...but not worth the wait (which is sometimes over an hour!). Everything is super salty...the corn, the meat, the sides. too mcuh!

Finally went.. Decided to wait a few months to visit Daves, especially in light of the many negative reviews. Went just before lunch and it wasnt all that busy and sat in the lounge section. The server was very prompt in coming to welcome us and take our beverage orders. Our drinks came within a minute or two. She was very helpful in making suggestions, and as it was our first visit "introduced" us to the various bbq sauces on the top, using bbq chips to sample.<br/><br/>My dining partner is celiac, so we did let the server know about that, and what sort of things would be available. She brought a seperate gluton free menu which was a nice touch. The server actually asked what "gluten free" meant and admitted to knowing nothing about it. This was all fine, and it was nice she showed an interest. A note to all restaurants....if you serve gluten free items, clue in your employees what it is all about...<br/><br/>Anyways, back to the meal....I had the rib/brisket combo with beans and fries for sides. It came fairly quickly and all food items were hot. I had hoped for a larger portion of brisket as it was a bit on the skimpy side but was tender and tasty. The ribs were a tiny bit of a let down, as I was really hoping for a true St. Louis (as advertised) eating experience. They were hot and tasty, but not of the "fall off the bone" variety, and had a few sections of fairly tough areas and unedible charred areas....still not too bad though and many perhaps like them that way. The beans were very good, and the fries were thick cut, fresh and crisp. My daughter had the gluten free items, including ribs (overcooked) and slaw (the fries are coated, so not gluten free), she also recieved a cornbread on her plate, which is NOT gluten free (I ate it...). The provided sauces on the table offer a nice choice and they were all tasty in our opinions.<br/> <br/>Our waitress checked in on us several times, topping up delicious coffee and waters (including lemon slices).<br/><br/>All in all it was pretty decent fare, and I will probably go again. The ribs were the only let down, and do not compare to the ribs at Montana's. I have had ribs in every province in Canada and have really yet to find ribs better than the ones at 'Tana's, proving that a chain can indeed do up some great items.<br/><br/>So there you have it, the service on this occassion was great, the food decent, the atmosphere was fine and the prices comparable to other similar theme restaurants.

Tried Famous Dave's after reading mixed reviews, and while I wasn't blown away I can't say I was disappointed either. We decided to go the take out route as I'd read so many negative reviews regarding service and line ups. We ordered the platter for 2-3 which I would say is easily good for 3-4 people. Our order was promptly taken and we were informed it would take about twenty minutes, which I can say was an accurate estimation. We opted to go with the pulled pork instead of the brisket. The ribs were large and had a nice smokey flavour to them, the chicken in the platter was moist and delicious, the corn was also plump juicy and excellent, while I'm not a huge fan of baked beans these were quite good. The pulled pork however was a major disappointment. The portion we received was a bit deceiving as it was placed on a large piece of bread. It was also dry and extremely salty, almost to the point of being inedible. I got the impression it might have been good several hours before but had been left in a warmer or under a heat lamp for too long. Either that or it was really over cooked. We opted for the wedges and coleslaw for sides. The coleslaw was nice as it wasn't weighed down with mayonnaise, the wedges were nothing special. Overall I would say Famous Dave's has good bbq, I don't think it's the best in the world, but I would say it is better than Lovey's which I tried and wasn't pleased with. Prices aren't low but they aren't over the top either. If you're looking for decent bbq at a moderate price, I'd give Famous Dave's a try. I'd also recommend sticking with the take out option as the noise from the eat in portion of the restaurant was extremely loud, and I did notice the servers gathered around the bar socializing for long periods rather than serving anyone, which I know other diners have complained about in their reviews.

Okay. Faaammouss Daaaave's.... I finally got to try out this awesome looking BBQ resaurant. I came in with two of my friends. Though the restaurant seemed packed and there were people waiting at the entrance waiting area, we got in immediately. I felt bad. Those people were probably starving. ANYHOW we were sat at a corner booth. We ordered a Feast for Two (which was more than enough for three hungry girls). We also ordered the string onions appetizer (i think thats what its called lol). Which were okay. But the BBQ sauces were amazing. I love Wilbur`s Revenge! And their Rich and Sassy sauce. Our entree came shortly after our appetizer, which we were happy about, it was a big platter with Ribs, chicken, crispy fries, corn muffins, beans, coleslaw, corn and brisket. Now I`m no fan of corn bread but these corn muffins were okay. The Ribs were dry but flavorful, Chicken was tasty but also dry, Corn was awesome, im no big fan of fries at a restaurant cuz i think its just a filler but these fries were crispy and thats how i love my fries! Still too much tho lol. Now the brisket...the brisket WAS EXCELLENT! Had a nice flavor tender all the way through not dry at all THANK GOD. All in all the Brisket was my fav. Cant say the same about the ribs and chicken, Sorry Dave. :P

Waiting for a table. We found the food and the service excellent! We did have a problem with the wait which was about 45 minutes. While we were waiting some tables were freed up in the bar and these tables were offered to new customers coming in instead of those of us that were waiting. They were told "Same menu - same service". Those of us that were waiting should have been offered these tables before walk ins.
