My first time buying from this bakery. They did not disappoint me and my family. I bought a few cupcakes,cookies & and butter tarts. The butter tarts are the best I have ever had!! Sorry mom but better than yours. I will definitely be back for more!!
Recently ordered lemon lovers delight cake for my father's 68th bday. I am not a lover of lemon but this cake was amazing! Not too sweet and just the right amount of lemon. Absolutely delicious! Of course you can't leave without grabbing a couple imperials. Best cookies I have ever had!
Everything is of top quality and delicious! My fav...cupcakes with lime or caramel and the butter tarts! Oh and the melt in your mouth scones.

High Tea Bakery went above & beyond with incredible service. Packing a box of "breakfast Father's Day cookies" and shipping them to my dad in Calgary with one day notice seemed impossible to me. The cookies arrived on time, 100% intact, and dad said he's enjoying every moment of both the thought and taste of good baking!

Kudos to the Belinda and the staff of the High Tea Bakery! My elderly mother lives nearby. All summer long they have been bringing her order down from the second floor once or twice a week. Never a large order - just a few items for her to enjoy. Earlier this month, on Mum's 90th birthday, she received a surprise delivery of a box of High Tea goodies complete with a birthday card signed by all of the staff. Class Act - High Tea Bakery!!! My friend took me into the High Tea. Now I'm addicted. I travel all the way from Selkirk just for the imperial cookies, and butter tarts. Has to be be the butter tart in winnipeg!
This past Tuesday I had a hankering for a cupcake. So I packed up my 4.5 month old and we hit the road to 2 different cupcake places....and High Tea Bakery - your Red Velvet cupcake was hands down the best (out of the 4 I tried)! Honestly - probably the best thing I've ever eaten. You MUST try this, if you haven't already!
Your mini imperial cookies are the best hands down but the butter tart is the best ever!! Worth driving across town for!
High Tea Bakery, located out on Portage Avenue by Deer Lodge Centre, is one of those places whose product I have tasted on a few occasions, but I’ve never visited the location itself. The most surprising part of that, is that High Tea was for it’s first few years located in the building that now houses Jonnie’s Sticky Buns. No more than about 10 block from where I lived.
Always amazing. Staff is excellent. Products are consistent and delicious. Would recommend to everyone. Favourites include lemon tarts and petit fours.
Beautiful renovation!! Love nearly all the cookies and cupcakes! Nutmeg logs, shortbreads, scones: it is hard to choose. Maybe the lemon tarts...hmmm! Come in for a quick treat, or sit and enjoy your bounty with a lovely cup of tea or espresso.
This is the spot for the best cookies in town bar none. We often go here to get a selection of small cookies to take as a house warming gift. It is truly one of the hidden gems in Winnipeg.

Cupcakes, cookies, oh my!!. I absolutely love the cupcakes here. My absolute favorite is the carrot pineapple with cinnamon buttercream frosting. Yummy! I also love the cardamon caramel cookies.
So TASTY. The Cardamon Caramel cookies are my all time favorite... I don't get to shop there as much as a like... but if when I drive by and they are open! I always stop! The mini imperial cookies are a close second!
Best scones ever. The scones here are incredible. I especially like the lemon-cranberry ones. Often they sell out, but when they don't, they will sometimes have them packaged in a day old bin, which is a nice surprise. Their decorated sugar cookies are as delicious as they are pretty but I find them a little pricey to enjoy too often. Besides the scones, my favorite item is the peppermint sandwich cookie. It's a layer of peppermint buttercream in between two very moist and delicious chocolate cookies. I have also tried their cupcakes and wasn't very impressed, although I've seen some reviewers on here who loved them.
What's also nice about High Tea is that you can buy some baking supplies in store. They have an incredible selection of gel dyes for icing so I've been coming here to pick them up in unique colors.
Best cookies ever ... Mini imperials are something that you have to eat at once if you live in Winnipeg
Great work!. I had High Tea do a 3D cake for hubby's birthday...and they knocked it out of the park, big time!!! It was so awesome! They could not possibly have done a better job! Tasty and PERFECT! Wow wow wow wow wow wow WOW! I will totally go back ASAP! Highly, highly recommend them to you!

YUMMY!!. Anyone who remembers the luscious cupcakes and goodies that Mom or Grandma used to make will adore High Tea Bakery. Quality ingredients make visiting this cozy, little shop a must. I frequently pick up cupcakes for myself (seriously addicted to the towering butter cream icing), and the loaves, shortbread cookies, and imperial cookies are to die for!! Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff.
Original cakes. If you're looking for an one of a kind sculpted cake High Tea does an excellent job. I ordered a cake here for a 60th birthday party and they could not have been more helpful. Not only did they help me bring my idea to life, but they were also very informative as to the way the cakes were meant to be cut, the flavours they offered, and the ingredients used in each cake. The price was extremely reasonable for work of this quality and the cake was amazing. Everyone at the party was impressed.
Best Imperials. High Tea is famous for having the most delicious imperial cookies in the city. I've never had anything here that was less than perfect - they obviously put a lot of love and effort into their treats. The cookies are always made with care - they have such detailed icing designs that I almost feel guilty eating them. They also have amazing petit fours, which look as good as they taste. They also offer unique seasonal items, like vintage-style Easter cookies. The cakes are gorgeous.
They have a couple of small tables inside and serve coffee for people who want to sit down and visit with a friend.
This is hands down my favourite bakery in the city.
