One of our favorite family restaurants.
Beef Liver special on Wednesdays is outstanding, Gyros and Pitas are exceptional and recommend doing the half fries and salad. So Good.
Staff and owner very friendly. This place has been here for years and its a typical Greek restaurant and I mean typical by HUGE portions and lots of options with your meal. Girlfriend had the chicken pita w/rice and I had the chicken parm w/greek salad. The appearance is a little dated but the food and staff make it a pleasant dinning experience. Will try again.

Delicious and very generous portions! Food was hot and fresh. My husband's club had huge chunks of turkey and my fries were some of the best I've had! The tzatziki was amazing!

Gave TVR another shot as I said I would and was mighty impressed this time around.
Ordered the dinner special and beef souvlaki for my dining companion. Everything was absolutely delicious and well seasoned and.... mushrooms are back as part of the platters!

I suspect that the Tuxedo Village has changed ownership.
Stopped by to get some take away on the way home from work. We ordered two grilled chicken breast specials and a gyro pita platter.
Got everything home and immediately noticed the gyro pita was noticeably smaller than what we were use to. Our grilled chicken was nearly inedible due to an extremely high amount of salt. The lemon potatoes were dry and also overly salty as well. At the other end of the spectrum, while well cooked, the mixed veg had no seasoning whatsoever and were very bland. The accompanying Greek salad was mostly lettuce with a dusting of feta.
If the new management decides not to return to the food quality which made Tuxedo Village a decent place to grab a bite, I'm afraid it's days will be numbered.
Could be as simple as the new management finding its groove and hopefully that's the explanation. So 2.5 - I'll give it another shot because it's in the neighborhood and I like to support local retail.
Oh, and they stopped including mushrooms as part of the platters... bummer.
Calamari was great! Only downside is you get more pita than calamari. Customer service was good. My friend enjoyed her gyro platter. The tzatziki sauce is amazing. Will definitely be back.

Came here with my parents for lunch during the week. We got there around 11ish so it wasn't yet busy. I ordered the chicken souvlaki pita with half and half fries and Greek salad. My pita was filled this visit around :).
Ordered a bowl of their lemon rice soup which I do enjoy.
I haven't ate in here for quite sometime but the service was great and the food tasted good. I'm not a big fan of their fries, they are more of a thick cut fry. The Greek salad was pretty good.
Service - a solid 5
Food - 3-3.5

Ordered take out and went with the Chicken Souvlaki Pita where you had the choice of soup and salad or fries, or both. I went with soup (lemon rice) and Greek salad.
The soup is nice and lemony as I mentioned before.
The Greek salad is pretty good - decent amount of feta and kalamata olives. The chicken Souvlaki Pita wasn't bad. The chicken was a little dry, but not bad. I do like more tzaziki sauce and didn't feel there was enough. The pita just didn't look overly filled with the good stuff or as good as maybe eating in the restaurant. My pita didn't look anything like the pictures others have posted on here haha

Visited Tuxedo Village restaurant last night with a friend and I ordered the Saturday Special - Greek Plate which came with pita, mixed vegetable, lemon roasted potato, 1 tyropita, 1 spanakopita, a chicken skewer and seasoned rice. You also had the choice of soup or salad to start.
I recalled a visit a few years back and remembered their lemon rice soup was delicious so I decided to go with the soup and was pleased. Just how I remembered it. Nice and lemony!
The rest of the meal wasn't anything spectacular. The mixed vegetables had no seasoning/salt, The lemon potato I was hoping to have more of a lemon taste to it but It was more like a roasted potato with oil drizzled on top. The rice, again not much flavor. The chicken souvlaki on skewer was a bit dry but ok. The spanakopita and tyropita were pretty good.
Not bad, but there are other Greek restaurants in the city I find more enjoyable.

My family has been coming to Tuxedo Village for over 10 years and we have never had a bad meal. The chicken pita with half fries and half salad is my go to and it is amazing. The portion sizes are huge and you can't miss with the lemon chicken rice soup.
Good!!. My friend and I had the pickerel lunch and we both really liked it. What I liked was that you get half and half, meaning half salad and half fries. It came with pita and we ordered Tzatiziki sauce. The Greek Lemon soup was good and nicely tart which came with the meal.
The only complaint from me is the tartar sauce came in Kraft packages and the Tzatziki sauce was really was really bad. It tasted like nothing.
The service was good and the waitress was really funny and nice.
Good value for your money.

Whoa, talk about awesome! Just finished one helluva dinner here...had the Deluxe Burger (with bacon!) platter - portions here are MASSIVE! The burger was excellent, the fries were very good but the gravy made them even better! Coleslaw was very good too tho I couldn't eat it all! Another in our party had chicken fingers with Cesar salad and it was equally LARGE and delicious! Another had the chicken souvlaki that was tasty, tho I have one issue here that seems to go along with this dish no matter where you go - there's always just one skewer. For the price, I'd rather the rest of the items that come with the plate be less in exchange for another skewer. But that's just me, and is hardly a serious complaint. In short, worth the money and definitely highly recommended. I shall return!

Once you've had Tuxedo, you'll always go back!. A friend took me there about eight years ago and that was the nicest thing a friend has ever done for me! Not only is Tuxedo Village my #1 restaurant, their prices are reasonable, the taste is great (excellent Greek salad), and the portions are fit for a King. The atmosphere is comfy and the staff is friendly. In all the years that I have been going there; the quantity and quality has never changed - Tuxedo is consistent - deliciously consistent. The one thing among many things that stand out is that if I can't make up my mind whether or not I want fries or Greek salad with my chicken fingers; I can satisfy both cravings and have a half order of each. And, the best part is that they don't charge extra like other restaurants do. Tuxedo is more than just making a profit - they really want to satisfy their customers and I appreciate that!
My new favorite Greek place. I was getting my eyes checked next door to this large family-run place on Corydon, and since it was getting on towards dinner time, we couldn't resist the smells wafting down the strip mall.
It was early, so we were the only people in the restaurant. The one server on duty was excellent.
We each went with a pita and salad combo - she a Gyro, and me a chicken souvlaki pita.
Both were nicely put together, super fresh, and tasty.
The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked.
The salads were some of the best Greek salads we've ever had.......and VERY generously-sized.
I'll be going back soon.
Best lemon potatoes. Its been a while since i've been, but they left a very good impression on me. had the veal that was on special, very good and generous portions. Had it with the lemon potatoes by reccommendation, and they are by far my favorite in winnipeg. kicks niko's butt when it comes to lemon potatoes.
our server was really great too! my #1 tipping rule : no water, no tip. he always made sure we had water. so i left a good tip for good service, good food and a full glass. :)

Lots of family and friends have said they really enjoyed their food before the COVID fiasco !!! My Aunt always went their before the insanity and raved about their food. Although we don’t eat out often and don’t live in the area, we will definitely be checking it out. Their morals and solidarity is by far the best and most tasteful in the local restaurant industry !!! Can’t wait to try the food.

Above and beyond. Ordered on Skip and the later pickup was sent to them as the next day. They immediately offered to make the large order on the spot and were SO pleasant to work with. Every bit of the meal was amazing - great quality ingredients and huge value for your menu. Made a special meal even more special and the best takeout we've had ever. Also, Keto menu is incredible and worth checking out even for non keto people - I swear I had a whole bundle of fresh perfectly cooked asparagus with my meal and I'll take that over potatoes any day.
Loved the Keto menu! Had the coconut bread, lasagna and Nanaimo bar- all excellent and tasty!
I ordered just before closing and they had no problem still making my order. I had the Canadian poutine burger. Talk about monstrosity! It’s messy but delicious. Cooked perfectly, tasted great. Burger and fries will not leave you hungry. Will be back to try another! Thank you
