We were there as family and really enjoyed the homemade flavours! Real deal. My dish was outstanding.

The Wife and and went to the patio at Bellamy's on the July long weekend. The patio is small but it was quiet it is a good place for a patio dinner. The server was very busy but she is experienced and did a wonderful job. The Wife started with a red wine Sangria mixed with brandy. She said it was just okay. Then we ordered our meals, I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and she ordered the Chicken Souvlaki. I did warn her that i ordered that a long time ago and the chicken was very dry and over cooked, but she wanted it and that is what she ordered. My meal was excellent, the sauce was as good as it gets and the garlic toast was as good as any you will find. The Wife found the Chicken Souvlaki to be dried out and over cooked, so I have to take stars off. Down to 3 1/2 stars. The experience was very good, and they take hygiene seriously. Lots of hand sanitizer was available. We had a good time and we will go back.

Our server was the best and took time to chat with us for a few moments. Food and drinks came quickly and the meal was very good. It had been a few years since I had eaten here and it was nice to be back.

We reserved a table for 8 for Mother's Day. We were seated on the bar side of the restaurant and unfortunately, the loud rock music, ice being broken at the bar and a screaming child, at an adjacent table, throughout our meal really put a damper on this outing. We had a variety of brunch items, some of which were cold by the time they arrived (e.g. Eggs Benedict). The hash browns were excellent and, for the most part, our family enjoyed their meals. I think the next time we would insist on the restaurant side for seating as it would hopefully be quieter.

Very very dissatisfied with our order our chicken wings were extremely dry 3 orders of then all dry and one burnt. The chicken fingers were very dry and crunchy. The poutine was raw. The fries were raw the steak sandwhich was hard as a rock and the garlic bread was so hard that my dog couldn't even eat it. I have been going here for 30 years and never once had an issue and when I called to speak to someone the no one could help me. Very dissatisfied with our family birthday dinner. If I could give zero star I would.

Pretty disappointed. I could have thrown the same meal together in my own kitchen in 10 minutes for $5. We used to get fabulous food here over the past several years but not anymore. I ordered Chicken Souvlaki. The chicken was not marinated or seasoned in anything and just pan fried and very dry (no tzatziki sauce or any type of sauce). Bagged frozen mixed vegetables instead of fresh, steamed (that’s appalling). And the rice was Uncle Ben’s Fast and Fancy (I’m still stunned with that one). Won’t be going back there anymore.

Don't waste your money. The food was terrible. Only good things about this place were the outdoor patio and proximity to St. Vital Centre.

Hello there,<br/><br/>Just this evening my fiancé and I decided to stop in for a dinner date. Reviews online seemed good and the menu looked simple, figured we'd give it a go!<br/><br/>We were greeted by a younger blonde hostess who quickly brought us to our table and brought us waters very shortly after we were seated. A+ for her! She also informed us that our server would be with us shortly.<br/><br/>Our server attended the table shortly after and we placed our order.<br/>-Calamari appetizer<br/>-salmon fillet entree<br/>-chicken souvlaki "platter"<br/>-2 Bellamys coffees<br/>The platter idea was suggested by our waitress without explaining what the difference was, we were under the impression that the "platter" (usually a term reserved for the larger size of a meal) would contain the two skewers of chicken.<br/><br/>Appetizer came out somewhat promptly afterward and we mostly enjoyed it although it clearly was not fresh calamari, but I can get over that. It's deep fried seafood, what's not to love?!<br/><br/>My salad came out while we had our appetizer and that was fine but very underwhelming for a Caesar salad. Barely dressed, no lemon wedge, no parmesan to be found, just very, very... Lazy widow style.<br/><br/>We finished our appetizers without a word from the waitress, not a customary "how are the first couple bites?", nevermind attempting to fill our waters.<br/><br/>She did however come back to the table after someone else cleared our table from our appetizers and to offer us dessert.... I reminded her that we were still waiting for our entrees (15/20 minutes or so) and she laughed it off.<br/><br/>She returned shortly after with our entrees, offered to bring condiments and whatnot, which my fiancé obliged with a request for white vinegar. Again, without offering to fill our waters.<br/><br/>The waitress left assumingly to grab our vinegar, and we began to eat. Again, we had assumed the "platter" version of the souvlaki would have been the larger portion. She received one very skimpy skewer of dry, salty chicken on top of a bed of overcooked, tasteless rice and a piece of garlic toast and fries with gravy. The fries are pretty good standard pub fries, (again, deep fried stuff is easy to not mess up).<br/><br/>I myself received my entree of a salmon fillet with fries and mixed veggies. The Veggies were so obviously pre frozen and steamed. Entirely bland and wet. No flavour whatsoever, no seasoning, nothing. The side of Veggies was maybe a half of a cup of wet, No Name frozen mixed vegetables. The salmon (which I assumed would be half decent and skin on) tasted pre frozen as well, and as if it too was simply steamed. It was overdone and dry, but oddly wet on the outside due to being previously frozen.<br/><br/>She and I are at home now and both of our stomachs are churning. Audibly. Only thing that we collectively ate was the calamari. I'm truly hoping that the only redeeming part of the meal is not the reason for our upset stomachs. I'll update ya how the rest of the night goes and whether or not my back end leaks.<br/><br/>I have no doubt that this place can put out good food. Their fried stuff is decent, as it should be! I've heard good things about the chicken fingers, but again, why would those be in house made but then you serve frozen everything else?!<br/><br/>But for anyone attempting to have a slightly more healthy meal of salmon can expect very meh, frozen salmon. And dry, salty chicken souvlaki.<br/><br/>I'm very disappointed that we spent $70 on this meal that was made using probably $10 to make.<br/><br/>I am requesting a refund for our meal. We will obviously pay for the two drinks, but our service and food was simply unacceptable for any restaurant.<br/><br/>Oh, we never got the vinegar by the way. Or our bill. The blonde hostess got our bill for us. Again, she seemed to be the only one in the place with a brain.<br/><br/>The chef on break on his phone eating at the table next to us was a really nice touch too.<br/><br/>This is a restaurant that clearly appeals to drunk people (fried foods) or the elderly whose tastebuds have early onset flavour dementia and require their food steamed. It tasted like hospital food. For $70.

We tried this place last Friday night and didn't disappoint us. Our server was very nice and asked if it was our first time here and recommended their specialty of the house which was the chicken mushroom fettuccine pasta and the chicken fingers. I ordered the pasta and my friend the chicken fingers with side of fries, Caesar's or Greek salad as an option. It was all good and delicious. Fast friendly service. We did enjoy the place and we'll be back.

Amazing place to get burgers and fries, chicken fingers, and even a Greek salad. Make the trip, you won't regret it. The staff make you feel comfortable and are very attentive.

I haven't been here in years because the last time I was there I had a hard time finding something to eat since there was few vegetarian options. Unfortunately, that hasn't really changed although now I eat fish so that gave me something to work with. <br/><br/>It really is good value for the price and I would almost say it's too much food. I had the grilled salmon. The potatoes and rice were also delicious. The green beans were almost pointless, I didn't care for them at all. Everything I had was very good but I like to have a few more things choose from so it's not likely I'll be back again for awhile.

My partner and I have always come here just for their chicken fingers - which must be homemade they are delicious! I went outside the box last time and had their fettuccine alfredo with mushrooms and chicken and was happily surprised the alfredo sauce was homemade and full of flavor sticking to the noodles and the chicken was seasoned excellent - This dish is my new go to here!

Fast - friendly - family run business across from St.Vital Mall on Dakota St. Been here 5 or 6 times over past couple years. Yesterday I Ordered the Chicken Pita w/Greek Salad. My friends chose Chicken Fingers&Fries (both homemade), 10' Bellamy's Pizza, and Bacon&Cheddar Burger platter w/Greek Salad. All of it was delicious. Server was super friendly & attentive (even came to table w/extra napkins without me having to ask). If you like homemade good food and large portions go check 'em out!

This is one of my favourite family restaurants in my neighbourhood. The staff are always extremely friendly and welcoming. There is definitely a sense of community when you walk into this place. One experience I had was in the Lounge. I was there for dinner and one of their regulars was celebrating a birthday. There was a cake and they offered everyone in the lounge a slice. I've never experienced anything like that at other establishments. One of my go to dishes on the menu is the chicken fingers platter with the Greek salad. Most restaurants serve chicken fingers that come frozen out of a bag and aren't made with fresh ingredients. I often get sick from chicken fingers in other places due to food sensitivity, but these are probably some of the best chicken fingers I have ever had.
Tom
cozy restaurant, and i wish i could remember the servers name, but she gave us the best service ever! We were treated like long lost friends, and not in the fake kind of way either, just awesome! Bellamy's is owned by Nia Vardalos from My Big Fat Greek Wedding. We had the chicken fingers and fries with greek salad, and the chicken burger. The burger was simple but good, and a touch of lemon can be tasted, perhaps mixed in with the mayo. My wife loved the homemade chicken fingers, but I wasnt too fond of them. They were crispy, but a little dry I thought. The greek salad is very good, but if you dont like tomatoes, ask for no tomatoes because there is probably a full large tomato in the salad. All in all we were happy with our experience, and will be back.

I have been going to this restaurant since i was 16, close to 20 years and the portions and quality have never gone down. They are always very polite, welcoming and fast, did i mention the food is excellent. Their burgers are fantastic!! And if you're not a burger kind of guy or gal, try the chicken fingers. OMG!!!!

Retrain your servers please!. The food, especially the fettuccine Alfredo is delicious. However, the service is completely awful. I've been coming here a long time, but I just can't pay for a meal with service this terrible. Won't be back.

Move on. Life's too short to endure indifferent servers go through the motions to serve mediocre or reheated fare. There are many restaurants with passionate chefs/cooks fronted by attentive staff eager to ensure a great experience...this is not one of them.

All around bad experience. We are easy to please and have never felt the need to poorly review any establishment. However, after our second visit today I am left scratching my head as to why we ever returned. The place was nowhere near full (30 -40%). Our waitress was well intentioned but clearly was out if sorts. Nearly every drink she brought to the table she spilt by way of slightly tipping and making a mess of the table. We tried our best to clean up with her and after her with napkins provided. Before ever bieng served and using almost every napkin at the table, you would think they would replace them or return to properly clean what remained on the table (3 kids and all )... sadly no. So as we sat there for the next 65 minutes, waiting patiently for our orders, our waitress finally brought out our meals. I have to admit that most of our table were satisfied with thier meal. I on the other hand was embarrassed for the waitress and chef. I ordered a soup and sandwich. I kid you not, my toasted sandwich came out as black as a tire. Totally burnt. I couldn't believe they let that leave the kitchen and that the waitress decided to serve that. Being as hungry as I was at that point, I decided to make the best of it and try and choke it down. Unsuccessfully, I had to return the bread to the kitchen. Long story short... lunch took over 2 hours beginning to end and cost me over $60 for a soup and sandwich, soup and salad, 3 kids meals and two glasses of water. I would not recommend this place to any one I like.

Tasty food with large portions. It has been years since I was here. I was with a large group od 12, after a movie nearby and they suggested it as they go there often.<br/>Now I know why. Pleasant décor. Good value and tasty food.<br/>I must say, the soup was superb.<br/>The home made bread delicious. I had chicken fingers as per the recommendation of half the crowd who ordered that as well., Among the best ever...They were hand cut, home made, crunchy ( Panko style) breading, light, fluffy even and very juicy tender fillet meat. Fries are shoestring variety and tasty.<br/>Service okay.<br/> Everyone loved what they ordered. Salads, soups, chicken, seafood, veal dishes.<br/>Definitely returning with family and friends often.<br/>Good value and large portions as expected in a home run Greek eatery <br/>Was there a second time and also good, especially the soups and the desserts.

My Big Fave Greek Diner. One of our favourite restaurants in the city! Top notch service and food. The chicken fingers are amazing!!! Best ever! Nice cozy atmosphere with lots to be proud of! Many of the chain restaurants could learn a thing or two from Bellamy's! It's the place "where everybody knows your name...."

Great Neighbourhood Restaurant and Bar. Love this restaurant. Very friendly service and food is always great. They have the best Chicken Fingers and fries. Lots of other yummy food on the menu too. Give it a try as I am sure you will enjoy it.

Never disappoints! Wife.... Never disappoints!<br/><br/>Wife and I had lunch there yesterday. She chose the chicken fingers with ceasar salad. Chicken was crispy and well seasoned, salad was crisp and flavourful. Perfect.<br/><br/>I chose the lunch special, the panzarotti, with Greek salad on the side. This thing is huge! Not to mention delicious - the crust was perfect: golden on the outside and chewy on the inside. The filling was the classic pepperoni/mozzarella blend (were there mushrooms?) and very good (they make their own sauce), and the quality of the cheese and meat is superb. And yes, the Greek salad was a great side.<br/><br/>Our experience was so satisfying, that we later returned to pick up a Bellamy's Original pizza for supper. Again, a very flavourful meal. <br/><br/>We have never been disappointed anytime we've visited Bellamy's, on average 8 times a year. Freshly made food, good portions, decent pricing, and family owned (we like to support local biz). Highly recommended!

I have passed by this place so many times and never really thought about going it until stumbling on the reviews here. The lady who greeted us was really nice and seated us right away (not that there way that many people there). There was only two of us, we ordered an appetizer to share and a meal each. The nachos were pretty good, I found the chips a little salty, but the portion was large. I ordered one of the homemade burgers (which I don't often do as I don't really like hamburgers) and it was really good. The Caesar salad is amazing, I spoke with the lady at the checkout after the meal and she told me he dressing is homemade. You can tell! My boyfriend ordered chicken strips and fries. The coating on the chicken had an interesting taste, and it wasn't too thick. The fries are decent as well. The service was great. Our server was Marie (or Maria), she was so sweat and very quick. The atmosphere was nice as it wasn't crowded and they had music playing. Wasn't sure what to expect when we pulled up, but I'm very impressed and will be making my way back there again sometime!

DELICIOUS!!. A nice and casual restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. It's like everyone knows each other there and even if it's your first time you're treated like a friend. I went with a group of people for lunch and I had fettuccine alfredo which is now my favourite in the city!!! Sooo rich and creamy. One of my friends also had the chicken fingers which I tried and they were so delicious and crispy. It seems that everything there is homemade and they have a few Greek dishes too. I tried some of my friend's chicken pita and the tzatziki they put inside is delicious. Really generous portions and good prices. I'll be back for sure!!

Great Food, Good Prices, Cant go wrong. Great place for a family meal. My parents always insist we go to Bellamays when they come into town. Out of all my visits (7 or 8) I have always had a great meal at a reasonable price with good service.
Jane
The service wasn't terrible, but below average. The food came out quickly and tasted ok. The prices are really high. The kids meals are $9, really? I've been here a few times and always say I don't care to come back. I now know for sure I will not be coming back!
Caitlin
Such a great reStaurunt! Been going here for years and it never fails. Huge portions, great quality food, always cooked right!

Pricey but better than the mall options.. Average food that's a little on the pricier side. I've only had bad service once and that was years ago. We normally eat here when we're going to St. Vital Centre. When our options are the Food Court, Smitty and Moxie's, we'll take Bellamy's any time. <br/><br/>My partner loves the burger and I come for their french fries. I would forgo the main just for the delicious delicious fries. <br/><br/>As a bonus, the owner is normally out and about talking to customers and taking payments, and when it's not him, his wife is out doing the same. They're both super friendly and nice people.

Best Chicken Fingers, Indeed. Though I rarely can justify going OUT to eat chicken fingers and Caesar salad, food that can easily be pulled off at home on my laziest of days, Bellamys would be THE place to satisfy such a need. The chicken fingers seem to be made from scratch, and really are the best I've had. <br/><br/>The food in general is typical Western comfort food. It's a nice atmosphere. It would impress my grandmother, but not my foodie friends. <br/><br/>No beer on tap, just bottles.
Jes3e
I like the fact it has a patio which creates a great atmosphere but the food is not so great but ok. So mediocre I could cook some of these better at home...sorry. Service was not bad though.
Chris
Frozen not fresh. Been here a few times. I could show you in the frozen section where all my food came from. You know those tiny pieces of veggies, carrots, peas, corn in the frozen bag? That was what came with my cabob. Not very exciting, won't go back.

Took a while to get a server but the food was great. This was my third time going and everyone was happy with their meals, i would reccomend the restaurant to anyone and i love the fetticini alfredo.

Fail. Just fail... The food is lack luster, the service sucks...

Nice Atmosphere, Good Food. This is a really nice restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. It's homey. There is a lounge attached to the restaurant where you can hear the cheering for the Blue Bomber game. The food is lovely. Greek food made well. The Gyros are tasty as is the Caesar salad (so much garlic)! A little pricey but well worth it.
