Review Sabai Thai Eatery - Winnipeg

Marina Havard (Marishinka)
This was awesome. We got the papaya salad which was perfect. The tofu pad Thai had the right flavors and the koi soi wasn’t out favorite but made us realize we are going often. The service was good and they are open for lunch

Absolutely fantastic food!! Cannot recommend enough, came here for the first time yesterday and had the spring rolls, golden triangle stir fry, and green curry soup. Possibly the best food I have had in my life, the green curry soup especially is to die for! I will definitely be coming back, if you are considering this place just go for it, you won't have any regrets!

We've been here 4 times this month. The food is amazing! Small family owned restaurant with some amazing food that has been consistently amazing. Prices well. Portions are generous. And the food dishes taste different from one another. Amazing.

Delicious food at very good prices. I've never had a meal here that falls to impress. Almost every dish has both meat and tofu options, which gives lots of options for both carnivores and vegetarians.

So happy it is open for lunch again. We had the summer rolls....so good. I had red curry and my boyfriend had the mushroom curry...excellent!!! We missed going here. Love it!!!

A small local restaurant, the food is delicious. I found the meat portion to be very skimpy in the curry and drunken noodle dishes, maybe 1-2 ounces per dish, cut into tiny pieces. A word of warning, you must buy rice to go with your entrees, it's not included like at other restaurants.

We have been to many Thai restaurants in the city, and have to say this is the best one! The only place where the chicken pad thai is made perfect, where its not flooded with so much sauce...just the best!! Anyway, great quality ingredients go into the food they make. My husband and I are always so happy after every meal. The Masamman Yellow Curry is so good. OMG the best!!

Guess the owner must turn down the heat when they close. Arrived at 1130 am and left at 115 pm. My feet were cold the entire time as the other two seated at the table were cold too. Old building with a funky smell, needs to be addressed. Luncheon was delicious 4* excellent service

When you get the order wrong on a pick up order and then when the customer calls to mention it and then you make fun of the customer with other workers without muting the phone then you get a bad rating. Next time you choose to bad mouth your clients mute your phone. I live outside the city and was craving the food. To drive 50 mins round trip and the order to be wrong is already disappointing but to make snide remarks about your clients even after you were tipped 20% is insulting. You obviously don’t need my money cause you already have all the customers you can handle. It makes it easy now that you don’t have dine in due to the pandemic, that you don’t really have to deal with customers or kitchen screw ups.

What a great little place. The noddle soup is very hearty and is bursting with a lot of flavor. Service was outstanding and was really impressed. It's on Corydon but west of Stafford so there is no problem with parking. Might be one of my go tos now!
Leanna Claeys
Definitely my go to for Thai. Quality is consistent, easily one of the best pad Thai I’ve had. I’m careful on the spice, level 3, sometimes 4 if I’m feeling adventurous, but I also can’t handle too much spice (Sweat everywhere and no one wants to be around me, lol). Their salmon ceviche salad is bomb. I’ve gone a couple times where they didn’t have it available. Great place overall!

This is a favourite of ours and have made it a new favourite for many of our friends. Great for dine in or takeout. Always more fun to share so you can taste more dishes!
The Swizzle Styx dined here this week and it was excellent. The restaurant was cozy & clean and service was good. The food was very fresh tasting with wonderful flavours, can't wait to go back and try more dishes😊
Janny
Thai is extremely popular in Winnipeg but you cannot miss this restaurant. It is amazing everything is great and the service is superb! Definitely a must try restaurant
Taylor Cash Davies
Very medium, mediocre food. Server was inattentive and not very polite. Soup was run of the mill, nothing that set it apart from the other Thai restaurants in the city. Tried the coconut curry soup and it was quite forgettable. Wouldn't go back, as Winnipeg has much better Thai restaurants.
Carla Hernandez
So far the best thai I've had in winnipeg. I was a big fan of the food here. Portions aren't as big as other places, but still fair. What won me over was the flavourful food! Wait time was too long for me, I would for sure not come here if you are super hungry - because you might become hangry, but I will say it was worth the wait. Super friendly staff, clean and comfortable environment. Will be coming back for sure!
Melody
Really delicious food and fantastic prices!! I ordered the Pad Thai and my boyfriend chose the drunken noodles. Both dishes were quite flavourful. This is top on our list to try again.

This review is based solely on food, and not on ambiance or service considering I ordered for pickup. And I will definitely be ordering again. And the best part is it's right around the corner from me, so for my Friday nights in with sweats and Netflix, I can satisfy my noodle craving by walking just down the street.
I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, Chiang Mai with chicken (which was my favourite not only fresh, but also the day after!) and the Matsaman Curry with Beef. My one beef with this place (pun intended) was that the beef was actually over cooked and a little dry, otherwise it was everything I wanted. And also reasonably priced. 2 Noodle dishes, and 1 Curry dish, with a container of rice for about $37 was great, and enough to feed 3 hungry people if we'd had a third. But there were two of us and had enough for both for leftovers the next day.
Super delish. Can't wait for my next dinner from Sabai Thai!

Last week my oldest brother Ian paid a visit to Winnipeg. On Thursday he and I went for lunch together. We ended up picking Sabai Thai Eatery, on Corydon Avenue at the Corner of Wilton Street. This is one of those places that I’ve heard a lot about, but never visited. It seems whenever I’m in the area I turn on autopilot and end up at Falafel Place. After a couple of visits, I can certainly say that Sabai Thai will certainly be a more frequent stopping place when I’m up in the Crescentwood neighbourhood.
Ninarebecca
Positive experience every time!!! I've had the golden triangle and chiang Mai twice, and every try to branch out and try something new, and it's always good, but never as good as the chiang Mai and golden triangle. Prompt and courteous service, great flavours.
Breanne S
The atmosphere isn't anything to write home about, but the food is a winner.
We ordered two dishes - red curry (hotness level 7) and chiang mai noodles (5). I'd recommend both. 7 is definitely fine for anyone already used to spice. The portion sizes are a bit smaller than what you might be used to but the price reflects it. For example, the red curry dish was $11 and is a great portion for one person. At other places you might spend $15 and have some leftovers.
Definitely try this place if you're into thai! I'm planning on returning.
Manny Brar
Amazing food, amazing service, great area and atmosphere. Made a zomato account just to review the restaurant because it was that good. Crab Rangoon, stuffed chicken wings, and crunchy noodles were all perfect!
Roberta Michelle Dyck
Great Thai food. Best I've had in Winnipeg so far a beating my neighbourhood favourite Siam.
The atmosphere is cozy and the service was a bit slower but worth the wait. I should also note our server was apologetic about the unusual wait.
The food was fantastic with the summer roll appy, and Pad-Thai and Mastaman curries being fast group favorites. Though everything else was very good too being made from quality rich ingredients.

Highly recommend if you like Thai food!

[POSITIVE] This place is totally 100% awesome! The menu and dishes reminds me a lot of the Magic Thai restaurant on Logan, (may even possibly be the same family). Anyway, there's a few different dishes here but Sabai has the same outstanding food, pleasant service, and fast food prep on you orders for take-out or for eat in. The servings are a little smaller than Magic Thai, but the quality is definitely on par, and the addition of the unique dishes here makes this place stand out. Really enjoyed the Chiang Mai Noodles dish. You can custom order your food, and so I had it with deep-fried tofu and had them hold the cilantro, (my friends who I went with warned me they add a lot, so if you're not a fan of the pungent flavor of fresh cilantro, tell the kitchen to leave it out). Price was reasonable. My only small complaint is I wish they had a large order of white rice. They only have a small (and it is very small), white rice dish you can order for your meal, (additional $3.00). They really need to have a large white rice dish, (double the size). All in all, a fantastic place for Thai lunch or dinner on Corydon Ave. (West of Stafford). I will be back here for sure! 👌

Delicious Meals, great little location, and friendly staff! Little slow getting to us to order, otherwise once the orders were taken everything was absolutely delicious.
Jack And Grace
Awesome restaurant. The pad Thai was the best we have ever had. The coconut soup was amazing. Good service. You won't go wrong picking this restaurant.
Lisa Wrixon Bircham
Food here is very flavourful and service has always been good. My fav's are the crab Rangoon red curry with chicken and the cashew beef stir fry with fig jam. The only complaints are that the portions sizes are really quite small and you have to pay for white rice. Seriously?
Lora
Came here because the original place I wanted to go to was closed for renovations... That restaurant's loss was totally our gain by choosing this restaurant on a whim! Loved this place - great curry and Tom yum soup... And the fried banana dessert was the great end to a great meal! Will be back again for sure! ☺
ErikaBrizMan
My boyfriend and I had a quick lunch here right after my shift. They're usually closed by 2pm but we arrived around 1:45sh, but still they accommodate us. The food was great. We really loved it. Not just an ordinary Thai restaurant. We'll definitely go back here and bring some friends
Brent Bailey
Great Thai food restaurant. The service has always been phenomenal and the food is always good. Only thing is I feel they don't give you very much meat for what you are paying...
KANA
Really amazing Thai food. One of my favourite Thai restaurants in the city along with Thida's. The only real issue I have is that the first time I visited they did not ask me how spicy I wanted it. The spice levels are kind of weak IMO. But it makes up for it by being really really really delicious.
Birchella
Live right around the corner- even if I didn't, I'd drive across the city for this Thai food. Never greasy, fresh, flavorful. The Panang Mushroom Bowl is my absolute fave! Also love all the vegan options! Service is never quick but they make up for it with great food! I've eaten here dozens of times and it's always consistent! Try it for yourself!! (Way better than that Siam Thai everyone raves about- yuck!).
Randi Love
The green curry didn't disappoint. I will be ordering it again.
Sherri Hamm
Chiang Mai Noodles. Delicious

-----17 Jan, 2015-----

Yummy!. The food was amazing. We live right in the neighborhood. We're definitely going to be coming back.
Shaleem Hosein
Tasty!. I've been here twice. After the first time, I swore that I would give up Chinese food forever, in favor of Thai food. Yes, that's how good my meal was. It was a refreshing taste sensation.

It's worth trying and one of the places I take visitors to Winnipeg.
Birchella
Love love love this place! It's right around the corner for my house and I've been here many times! The food is absolutely delicious, I LOVE Thai food and this is so far the best in the city. Service can be a little slow but the food is so worth it every time! Order the Mushroom Panang, you won't regret it!
Dontmakemecook
Had an absolutely wonderful evening here, and can't wait to go back! It's decorated really nicely, the aromas coming out of the kitchen were amazing, and it felt really warm and cozy coming in from a cold, dreary night. The hostess found us a seat right away, even though we were quite early for our reservation. All the staff we came in contact with were friendly, and professional. The food was really great. All in all, it struck me as one of those great places you just want to be-before, during, and after your meal! My only regret is that I drive past it hundreds of times en route to other destinations and didn't stop until last week!
Lori Pollock
Good Lunch!!!. Went for lunch with a friend this week. Restaurant was clean and appealing, the service very good - friendly and helpful. So far I have only had the spicy green curry soup with chicken, but it was amazing, and for just 6 bucks (I had the smaller size), it was more than enough! The server even brought an extra bowl of rice for me to add in, if I chose. My friend had the green curry udon, which she claimed was one of the best she has had. The tea selection was excellent - we had the Jade Pearl, and it came nice and hot in a cast iron pot. I will be back!!!!
Brian
Really good.....I mean REALLY good!. First visit last night, and Wow! They blew away my expectations.

Our go-to place was closed, so we decided to try Sabai, having driven past it so many times.

Nothing but bold, fresh flavors, and no shortage of heat! Absolutely delicious.

We had the Mee Krop (great, but will ask for more spice next time), the Salmon Ceviche (incredible), the cucumber salad (tastiest salad I've ever had), the chicken satay (average chicken, but above average dipping sauce), and the pineaple wonton dessert (blown away again!).

The girls working were super fast, efficient, and friendly.

One of my new top 5 places in town!
Anita
Anita. We picked up supper the other night from Sabat Thai on Corydon. The green curry with chicken had great flavor and a nice amount of spicyness. The Chiang mai noodle dish was also flavorful. There was actual chicken in each dish and a nice quantity of it. What was great as well is the portions were large enough that my husband and I had leftovers for supper the next night as well.

The one disappointing thing was we had ordered the summer rolls. The lettuce in the rolls was not shredded and the pieces were far to large and chewy to be enjoyable, and the peanut sauce was quite bland and flavorless, so just added some Epicure seasonings in to that at home.

We would for sure eat from Sabat Thai again but not the summer rolls
Hellospringroll
Green curry had tons of bamboo shoots and not enough of anything else. Pad thai tasted just like fish sauce and soy sauce. Used to be so good. Disappointing. I can make better at home.
Sarah
One of the best Thai meals I've had in this city. Very gluten free friendly, everything is clearly marked on the menu as gf. I will be returning as often as possible.
Yummy Eats
Disappointing. We ordered 5 dishes and a soup and all of it was either flavourless or just salt - which is hard to even do to Thai food. It's also over priced. There are too many good Thai restaurants in Winnipeg to eat here! I recommend picking pretty much anywhere else.
HungryHulk
Loved the food , tried all 3 vegetarian menu items. Chili in oil isnt that great but over all food was yummy and workth going
Gary A. MacDonald
Always Amazing. No matter what we order, or when we get there, its just wonderful. Best to get there before 5pm on a Friday/Saturday or you'll find yourself waiting and drooling at the same time.

Favorite place in Winnipeg for Thai, hands down.
Syed
Please don't go there during the winter. The place is super cold. Food is very good but bring a blanket for your leg and need to wear your winter jackets. Super cold.

Update: Food is great. I went back few times already.
Georgefell17
Fantastic. This place will blow your socks off. We've never had a dish that we didn't like; the springrolls with peanut sauce are particularly nice.
Sheheehee
Delicious. We went last night and I loved it. My friend had the hot and sour soup and Pad Thai, and I had the Coconut soup and Black Bean. It was all great! I will certainly go again.

Best Thai food. One of the best place to go for authentic Thai food in Winnipeg. New owner was able to maintained the quality of the food and service. Highly recommended.
Jeffdika
Duck dinner. The Lychee Duck dinner was wonderful. Mixed with the sticky rice it fed the two of us marvellously.
Rainn Willson
I ate here for lunch, and I had the Crab Rangoon for starters, and the Pad Thai for main.

The Crab Rangoon was pretty tasty on its own, but the sauce that it came with was rather overpowering, and quite salty.

The Pad Thai wasn't anything special.
It was good, don't get me wrong, and the price was right, but it didn't stand apart from other Pad Thai dishes in the city.

Good meal, good service, and I'd come here again.
Madison Lintott
My boyfriend and I ate here Friday and we LOVED it! The prices were fine and the food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant is very nice inside and welcoming. We are going to go back again for sure!

As always, fantastic food and service. We were at Sabai last night as a party of 11 for my mum's birthday. Nothing disappointed. The many dishes we ordered (spring rolls, chicken satay, eggplant, spicy chinese greens, pineapple panang curry, green curry, pad thai, udon with black bean & garlic, sticky rice) were thoroughly enjoyed by all and the service was fantastic. Despite the fact that the server/manager was serving the entire busy restaurant, we were well attended to - and very, very pleasantly. Also, we requested that our dishes be made without fish or oyster sauce; this was accommodated and the food was still delish.
C.Chantel
Great modern atmosphere. Waitress was friendly; experienced good service. My first time here and had fallen in love Khao Saway vermicelli light coconut curry topped with crunchy noodles and vegetable. Cant wait to come back to try other dishes.
Macattack
As much as I love the food here, PLEASE get your servers look after your customers. The one server with brownish reddish hair is great, the others let you sit...and sit... And sit..... They seat you then you practically have to stand on the table to get service. Even when it's not busy. Please fix this... Cause we loveyour food!
Randy Toews
First visit, two months ago, was awesome! Today I had one of the worst dining experiences of all time. They were too busy to even take our drink orders. The entire night we drank water and waited over an hour for food!! The waitress brought us the bill before we were finished!!!! I guess their success means customers are now just expendable credit cards.
You suck Sabai!

Great Thai in River Heights. Sabai Thai has become my Thai restaurant of choice in Winnipeg. I've eaten here many times and tried most of the dishes on the menu. The Panang Curry is particularly good, as are the Pickerel Cheeks.

The food is consistently delicious, the service is quick and friendly and the ambiance is relaxed. Highly recommended.
Manitoban
Yum. Love this place. We deviate now and then to try a new Thai place, but nothing has compared to this place so far and we always go back.

Also to note - we take our 5 year old here so have no fear of taking your kids here (most seats are booths).
Steve
This is my favourite place for Thai food. Service is always friendly and the food never disappoints.
Dayna Goudie
Went here after looking for a vegan-friendly lunch nearby. All dishes have the option of chicken, beef, tofu or shrimp (extra $) Our server was really friendly and quick. I had the summer rolls and curried eggplant with tofu. My partner had the calamari which he said was the best he's had and the mee krop, he said he has had much better. The summer rolls leave a lot to the imagination, pretty bland and the peanut dipping sauce's sweetness doesn't match up. The curry was fantastic, but the eggplant was well over cooked. May come back to try something else. Left full and satisfied.
Alittlebirdie
Great Food and Casual Atmosphere. Been to Sabai many times now, and it never disappoints.
Catamaran
Food was tasty and the service was very fast and attentive.
Mr. Polar Bear
Kaeng Phed Ped Yang!. Decided to try out lunch on a late afternoon. Service was attentive and efficient. Ordered both the Khao San Pad Thai and the Lychee Curry Duck, while the Pad Thai is mostly passable by any standard, the Lychee Curry Duck was top notch and worthy of the high price.

The portion of the duck was good and the flavor was an excellent mix of sweet, tangy and savory, we have not been able to find any good Thai restaurant in Winnipeg that serves Kaeng Phed Ped Yang and our search has now ended :)
Rick Helps
Tasty. Gave Sabai a try for the first time the other day for lunch. Very simple decor and fairly small. Our server was prompt and friendly. Somewhat surprised they dont serve coffee, but tried a tea (not a tea drinker) and it was quite good. We had the Khao San pad thai and the 3 mushroom panang curry and a side of jasmin rice (extra 2.00, but you get enough for at least 3 ppl). The meals were delicious and the serving size generous. If you like Thai, give this place a try.
Chris
So good! I made an urbanspo.... So good!
I made an urbanspoon account just so I could write about how awesome this place is! My boyfriend and I went here a few days ago and I died the food was sooooo good. Recommend the curry, but honestly, everything will blow you away. Best Thai in Winnipeg hands down. BOOM!
Terri Milne Proulx
One of my two favourites in the City. I have been going to Sabai since they opened. Magic Thailand was easily my favourite Thai restaurant and Sabai is owned by the same family. The red currey soup is addicting. I LOVE spicy food and hate it when a restaurant tells you a dish is very spicy...it's almost always a let down. While most of my friends think spicy #4 is risque, I usually get spicy # 8, but have tried #10 as well. For true spice lovers, you won't be disappointed. I worked near Magic Thai, but live near Sabai. These are my two favourite Thai restaurants, and I've tried most of them in Winnipeg. Thida's is second. I went on my first date with my guy to Sabai a year ago today. The atmosphere is great for a date. Magic Thai is more for friends and lunch. Service is excellent, as well.
SpiceLife
Interesting Twist on Thai Food. This place takes traditional thai dishes and puts a unique twist on them. Great if you enjoy thai and what to try something new.
Muzikah
Ate there for the first time & really liked it, and I am very fussy when it comes to restaurants. Would definitely go again.
Hunter
Oh Yeah!. Excellent! A current favorite! Tasty, tasty dishes. Portions could be a bit bigger but that's probably because they're so yummy you just want to eat more! Esp like the green curry. Dreamy.
Decent ambiance, very good service, friendly...my only whine is that they aren't open late enough. We went there at 9:30 on a Friday and they were closing! Not cool. Otherwise, I'd have to say 9/10.
MWAT
Love it!. Every dish is delicious! Great place for a cozy dinner with friends or your spouse. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Vinay II
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I mostly get the green curry or the green curry soup. The green curry soup is $11 for a large one and feeds 2 people. So worth the money. The taste is incredible!
Brizzy Hungry
Meh not bad. Wish there was more to the menu. I really like the 3 mushroom Panang!
Intl.Foodie
Nice, not spectacular. Sabai Thai has a cute ambiance, not many tables, rather cozy and the services is nice and friendly. The prices aren't bad and the food is tasty but for whatever reason the place just didn't blow me out of the water.

The place is run by the son of the woman who runs Magic Thailand and his food has a bit more of a twist to it than Magic's does, which, in my opinion, was nice to have. But that's just it, I keep using the word 'nice' because that's it; it was. It wasn't spectacular but it certainly wasn't disappointing. Will I return? If someone brings it up, or if I'm nearby. But I doubt I will seek it out again. On the other hand, there were very neat menu items I've never seen on other Thai restaurant's menus that I might like to try next time around should the opportunity present itself.

It's certainly worth a try if you enjoy Thai food and even if not, I doubt the place will disappoint. I'll continue to my favourite place though and head to Siam Thai.

Enjoy!

Cute place, good food.. I've been here a few times now and i've never been disappointed yet. service is always very friendly. nice quiet and cozy atmosphere. the presentation is nice, and the serving sizes are fair.

i find the menu is a little short but there is still a fair amount of options. another great thing is that with almost every dish you get to choose between tofu, chicken, shrimp or beef. so its like having 4 times as many menu options.

i've had about half the menu now and i haven't found anything i didnt like. love the crab rangoon, love the mango salad, love the crispy noodles. the dishes are big enough to share for two, and small enough to finish on your own (if you only get one or two that is for yourself.) i think it'd be a really nice place for a date!

oh and did i mention its very affordable? :)
its like a piece little thai comfort food.
Jackie
Great atmosphere and food. Cold spring rolls are excellent. The entrees we selected were all good as well although the duck is a bit fatty and difficult to eat due to bones. Service was pleasant but we ordered a bottle of wine and were surprised when it was opened before getting to the table, no taster was offered and the wine was not poured for us. Still, great night and would definetly go back.
J D Brien
Had a very nice quiet meal here on a Friday night. Drinks and meal were great
Colin
Good food, great price. Ate at Sabai Thai for the first time and was happy with the meal. Tom Yum Goong (Hot & Sour soup w/ shrimp) was good although it had more vegetables than I am used to. We had both the green curry and yellow pineapple curry. Both tasted excellent, although the green curry could have been spicier.

A meal for two with drinks and appetizers came to approximately $50. Restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Thai food in a nice setting.
Rob
Excellent restaurant. We have been to Sabai Thai several times and between my family and I, we have sampled almost everything in the menu. We have also taken friends. We have yet to be disappointed and on the contrary I have not yet had one of our party not enjoy their meal. Small with a very warm and friendly atmosphere.
E
Yum. I love this Restaurant. The menu is fairly small but the food is fantastic. The Matsaman Curry is my favorite and one of the best I have had. My mother can't get enough of the Tom Kah Soup and the drunken noodles are really good.
Shari Block
Indeed will return!. My good friend who practices at the yoga studio next door has wanted to try this restaurant for a while but I kept putting her off UNTIL...I heard that the chef here is the son of the proprietors of Magic Thailand (my favourite Thai place) and that he does a bit of a modern twist on Thai food. So last night we picked up some food to go on our way to Ballet in the Park. We ordered the Som Tum (green papaya) salad and the green coconut curry with chicken. I realized after I placed my phone order that they had not asked my spiciness preference so when we picked up the food I asked (as I like my food quite spicy) if we would need hot sauce and was told no. The food was DELICIOUS!!! The lime flavour from the salad was a perfect compliment to the rich curry. The spiciness was of a decent level to enhance the flavours in both dishes. The restaurant itself had cozy looking boothes which I will be returning to for a dine in experience and to sample some of the other dishes on the menu which look interesting!
Jendubs
Meh. They didn't ask us what level of spiciness we wanted, and the food was not at all spicy and in fact bland. The Tom Ka left much to be desired and the Chiang Mai noodles were nothing special.
Melanie
Place Was Filthy. Tried this place for lunch and couldn't get over how filthy the place was...ruined my appetite...food was just ok.
DineoutGal
Not running back. The deep fried battered calamari was very tender and not greasy at all; it came with a peanut based dipping sauce. The green curry soup was very rich and creamy and had a good hit of spice lingering in my mouth afterwards.

Entrees are about $9-$12 and offers noodles and curry dishes; most come with a choice of tofu or chicken while shrimp will cost you an extra $2.95. Rice is extra as well.

The Chiang Mai noodles came with rice vermicelli, bean sprouts, red peppers, chicken, other veggies, coconut milk etc. It was too rich and creamy..tasted like they used cream cheese in there. I've been to Thailand, Chiang Mai noodles this is not.

The matsuman curry with chicken was another okay dish that didn't really provide much heat. Also, it was pretty hard to find any chicken in either of those two dishes. The green curry tofu was a nice and flavourful dish but also didn't have the heat that I was looking for.

The restaurant is on the smaller side but can provide seating for larger groups. It has a pretty decent selection of wine, beer (lots of imports) and mixed drinks.

This place was okay but I wouldn't go running back anytime soon.
JoJo
Sabai Thai. I love the Papaya salad...but watch out, it's spicy!
PhillyD
Travlled North America for 15 years speaking in all major cities. This is nest Thai Food I've had in North America. Clean, strong food. Great owners. Every dish you can get with tofu. VERY VEGAN FRIENDLY. Try 'sweet chilli slaw', all the soups.
Urbanpony
Excellent night out. Thai salmon ceviche is to die for! Nice interior and excellent service. Will be going back!
Chad
Curry from Heaven. Yeah mccalves doesn't know what he is talking about...but the curry there is probably some of the best I've had. I honestly would say it is better than the East India Company, which yes, I know they are completely different but when it came to the curry...WOW...BRAVO for this place. It's interior is quite welcoming and well done too. Good stuff.
Mcalvez
Sabai Thai Winnipeg. Trying to be cool, but just get real. Third rate thai , but I guess good enough for Winnipegers who haven't been around the block. The prawns were fishy tasting ( which means not fresh for those of you who wear just black) .So get fresh, get real, and get some decent clothes.
