Originally had reservations for 14 with accessible seating. Eventually 19 of us showed up!! Our server Lindsey (with the great hair) accommodated us so well. Food was delicious. The Papa Mambo trio was unexpected treat! And what lovely ambiance on that patio

LOVE this place! The food was so good and the service was excellent. Love the courtyard/patio, the atmosphere, everything was top-notch.
A great meal. Attentive service with a cool jazzy vibe on the patio. A great time was had.
First time to Inferno's for me and I was extremely impressed from start to finish. We didn't have to ask our server "Carly K" for a single thing and the food was excellent. Carly had an intimate knowledge of every menu item as well as the daily specials that was remarkable, kudos to her. We had a very rare, exceptional dining experience that neither of us have had in a long time. Well done Inferno's!
Service was exceptional! Great food, beautiful patio.
I love this place. They always have amazing dinner specials, so much so that in my 8+ visits, I think I ordered off the main menu only once. Beautiful presentation, friendly service, and ooooh so, so tasty everything. I take all visitors here when they come to town.
The elk I had yesterday was absolutely fabulous.
The food is amazing and the music divine. I have never been disappointed.
The best dinner I've had in quite some time. The service was awesome and the environment with very pleasant. Can't wait to go again even though it's a little expensive.
Great service! Delicious meals! A party of over 30 all happy!
Amazing! It’s hard to please every one, YET you did it!
We dined with a party of 14. The service was fantastic. The drinks, appetizers, main course and desserts were amazing! We will definitely dine there again.
Thanks Juan, the Halibut was outstanding as well as the salad! David Lee and I enjoyed the dinner, thank you!
Love, love, love this place. Fantastic service, high quality French food with delightful twists. The moules et frites offered in several variations on the menu are fantastic, as are the outstanding and ever changing daily specials. House made desserts are also outstanding!
A beautiful patio with live entertainment make this a busy spot, but well worth it if you can get a seat!

Addition to review added May 5, 2018:
Had one of the best meals of my life yesterday. Ordered entirely from daily specials and didn’t regret it! Calamari with orange tzatziki to start was super tender and a generous portion size and the dipping sauce was beautifully balanced: brightly citrusy but just savory enough. Next came the outstanding cream of mushroom soup - a generous variety of crimini, enyoki and portobello mushrooms in a rich, delicious cream base. Probably the best cream of mushroom I’ve ever had! Next came pork ribs in a sauce that hit every flavour note: sweet, tart, savory and just a touch of smoky spice, tender but not falling apart: satisfyingly meaty. Finished with a gooey, caramel hazelnut dream with chocolate whip cream and shortbread crust that succeeded in being as decadent as it sounds without being overly sweet. It takes muscle to work through the dense caramel and substantive crust, but that entirely adds to the pleasure of eating this delight. Service was outstanding as always and the ambiance was as lively and pleasant as ever.
Had to change my original four rating to a five. Totally outstanding and unforgettable!
Went here for the first time with my husband. We had the crab cakes for the appetizer and it was very good and the mango chutney on top was super yummy. We shared the vegetable bouillabaisse soup and it was very flavourful. My husband had the duck entree and he said it’s the best duck he ever had. I had the halibut special and the fish was cooked perfectly. The only dislike was the root veggies could have been cooked a little longer. Service was great. The restaurant was packed and our server did a great job of making us feel attended to. Highly recommend for food and atmosphere.
The live music on the patio is the best back drop to a setting sun and delicious food. the portions are always generous and I love coming here a couple of times a year.
Cute little place in st boniface. Went for my for my boyfriends birthday the other night. Ordered the duck potstickers, the flavor of the potstickers themselves was great but we weren’t a fan of the orange sauce it came with. The clam chowder soup was delicious. He had the steak special which was incredible. And I had the salmon dish which was also great, only complaint was the salmon could have had more of the sauce because it was delicious! For dessert we had creme brûlée which was delicious. Service was great, a little slow but we were in no rush and our drinks didn’t stay empty for long. Can’t wait to come back soon!
My preferred location is the Inferno's on Academy however, this place has a slightly more french-centric menu and it's quite well designed. The food is mostly french with a modern twist, which breaths life into the age-old dishes and I have had numerous meals here, all excellent.
The location is in old St. B and the patio is lovely during the summer.
If you're looking for an enjoyable night out in old St. B, I would recommend getting a spot on the patio!
I had the infernos penne dish, pasta dishes are usually super overpriced for what they give you but I was quite impressed for what I got. It was an excellent cream sauce that had just a bit of kick to it. The penne was covered in parmesan, sautéed onions and peppers
I finally remembered to book a reservation and was so happy I did! A start to any good night is a good server and our waitress was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, polite and present (seems these experiences are getting fewer and far between)! Our appetizers were loved by all, I had the tuna with mango salsa as my main and it fulfilled cravings I didn't know I was craving. There was a large tempting dessert selection but I had hit my max at that point. Would strongly recommend going for any occasion.
Amazing food, fantastic service. Everyone at our table was pleased with there meals, I had the steak and lobster special which was unbelievable. The steak done to perfection, melted in my mouth, the lobster fresh and a bit
sweet. The live music on the patio, made this meal a memorable one.
Love moules et frites, so it was great having so many options. Restaurant is a little crowded and can get busy, but the patio is very cozy and gives you a little bit more space. It's also fairly enclosed and there's a lot of greenery and cute knick-knacks making it feel both fresh and fun. The service was great, and the food was a little pricey but very good. Though atypical, last time I went, my friend and I had one dead/closed mussel each in our bowls. I knew better but had to stop her from eating it. It should have been taken out prior to service. The broth (I chose a classic leek and cream type) was delicious, not gritty at all, and there was plenty to be had. The bread basket came at the same time as our meal, but it was nice to have some delicious artisinal breads to dunk in the broth. The fries needed salt, but the portion is generous which is great! I prefer even more of a shoestring fry with mussels, but they were good. Will be back.
Came here on a warm summer evening to sit on their cute patio. The atmosphere was perfect, a nice enclosed space with light live jazz playing in the background. We ordered some appetizers share; the Cambenzola Frit (so savory & tasty), the duck confit pot stickers, and the frog legs (Buffalo sauce was amazing on these). For dessert I got the Tarte Tatin (upside down Apple pie) which was served warm , and I got a scoop of their ice cream on top! It was really good, except the bourbon caramel sauce was too strong for me. If you like burbon though, you'll love it. Will be back more so for the patio than the food, but will definitely be back!
Went here for a staff party, a good group (around 40) of us had the whole upstairs to ourselves. Atmosphere was nice and the staff were very friendly for having to deal with such a big group at once. Food was great, would for sure go back again!!
Definitely one of my favourite restaurants when looking for a fancy night out, and it's especially wonderful in the summer if you can get a spot on the patio! I usually only go once a year because the prices are very high, but when I do go, I get a pitcher of Sangria, and my favourite dishes are the Flamande Mussels, Crab Cakes (have not found better crab cakes anywhere else in the city yet), the Le Bisque Grand Duc (soup) and the Steak Tartare. Next time I go I think I'll try the Roquefort Hot Legs (frog legs)! Oh, PS: Only order the Artic Char if you like REALLY rich flavours... it's a little too rich for my taste.
In Ferno's Bistro takes French cuisine and infuses it with modern cooking techniques and new flavours. The chef shows his range by having traditional items available on its main menu while giving customers a slew, albeit too large of one, of specials to keep anyone entertained. And while each item is on the pricier side, the flavours are well worth the price of admission.
Good food and fantastic service. Did find it a little pricey. Wished I had gotten the ribs because they smelled fantastic. The angel hair pasta dish was really good though. I find the restaurant a little crammed. They do however have a very nice patio for the summer! Definitely worth checking out
Everything was amazing from the moment my guest and I walked through the door we felt welcomed. Our server was amazing , informative, friendly and attentive. Food was an explosion of flavours and everything was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend!
My husband and I went to Infernos for our wedding anniversary and it was delicious! I had been before, he had not. The food is always amazing and full of colour and flavour. The service wasn't over the top, but was far from terrible. Our server came in a quick manor and wasn't constantly at our table nor ignoring it! It's a small quaint place and lots of table, but I didn't feel cramped, however it was really loud, I might request I quieter area next time, but we still had an amazing evening, with great food! We will definitely go back! I suggest Infernos if you're looking for a laid back, trendy place for good food, good service and good conversation!
In Ferno's Bistro has been at the top of my list for many years and they have never disappointed me to this day. Great atmosphere but sometimes it can get loud with large groups. The smaller setting gives it a cozy more intimate feel and the food is always the highlight of my night.
Mussels with Curry. Amazing. Fries were crunchy.
Ate here and had to make adjustments to the sauces since I am currently going dairy free because of allergy issues. The chef was willing to change the cream to coconut milk so I could still order what I wanted.
Nice Restaurant. Good service. Interesting decor.
I had a filet mignon steak. Tender. Some flavour - could have been better. Definitely overcooked. I'll go elsewhere for a good steak.
Highly recommended!. Went there for my husband's birthday dinner. We had reservations for 7:30pm and even though when we got there, the place was obviously packed, we were seated almost immediately. Our server was very pleasant and very knowledgeable of the menu. The timing of when every course was served was perfect, we didn't feel rushed to finish what we were eating and at the same time we didn't wait long for the next course to come. The food was tasty and cooked perfectly. We'll go back for sure!
Fantastic spot. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and food that has your mouth watering
Great service. Great food. Can't say enough good things.
Must try:
Lobster gyozas
Crab cakes
Bison bites (special of the day)
Filet mignon and lobster tail
Creme brûlée
Never Disappoints. Inferno is great anytime of the year. A warm place for comfort food in winter. A cool place for summer. In spring the lilacs are in bloom on the patio. In fall the apples are falling from the tree. Lots of parking available. What more could you ask for. Open all day and into the evening. Always a varied and delicious menu.
SwizzleStyx. The Styx had lunch here last Thursday afternoon, it was a gorgeous sunny day and we had a lovely table on the beautiful outdoor patio. We decided to dine on appetizers of oysters, crab cakes, prawns, a trio of pate, and some french fries and all were delicious. The prawns were perfect, all of the pates were great, and the crab cakes in a mango salsa were outstanding. Even the complimentary bread basket is one of the best in the city with a fresh assortment of breads. We have been here many times and we will definitely be back!
August 2017 - the Swizzle Styx dined here again this week and as always it was excellent. Food was outstanding and service on spot. Always a great experience here!
Excellent food and service. My family decided to try this bistro out and were pleasantly surprised with the food , the bison was just wonderfull , the waiter was young and very professional , I would definitely go back !!!!
Amazing Food. Nice little restaurant in St. Boniface. The outdoor patio is awesome with great service. Our server recommended some dishes and she did not disappoint. We had the peppercorn mussels and fries which were very good. The duck sandwich was awesome, a little messy to eat but still good. I would definitely recommend eating here.
One my favourites. I've been to Inferno's Bistro a handful of times and have never had a bad experience.
Two meals stand out: First, we sat in the tiki hut on the patio (which is lovely, by the way) and I had Poulet à la Façon du Chef (Chicken stuffed with lingon berries and cambenzola) and a few appetizers (Lobster potstickers and bison springrolls). The entire meal was delicious and service was great.
Second meal was at large birthday party I attended. We sat in the upstairs area, which is nice too. I had the thai beef salad. This one was reallllly good for the price, as I expected it to be a lot smaller but it's extremely big and filling. The beef was cooked perfectly.
Definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting to dine in the St. Boniface area!
Great food. I like to come here with friends for drinks and dinner, as the food is always good with a great atmosphere. The chicken penne is even better the next day!
Good variety and great taste.. Finally made it to Inferno's and we were not disappointed. Took mom here for the Day After Mother's Day Dinner. The dining room was small and about 3/4 full. A couple of groups were seated ahead of us but our waitress saw that we were quick in making our selections so we got served much quicker. Wine was served promptly, a small basket of various breads was served shortly therafter. We each ordered an appetizer at the same time we ordered our entrees. We passed on the 8 or so specials read to us from a notepad(As a previous review stated, no need for that many "specials."). Appetizers: Escargot, Crab Cakes and Fried Cambenzola were all good. Entrees: Lamb Shank: The waitress said this would taste "meaty." Compared to the other samplings we tasted, she was 100% correct. I enjoyed it. Dad loved the Arctic Char and mom enjoyed the veal. The vegetable offerings were nothing special but were okay. I thought the house white wine was a bit pricey, but not a major factor in our dining experience. Overall, we had a good experience. Good service, good wine and good meals across the entire table. $192 with 15% tip. I wouldn't make this a regular stop but would definitely give it another go. It's not for everybody, but give it a shot.
Went for the first time with a group of 8 on a Friday night and it was a great night out. Our waitress was fantastic! Food was excellent, loved the atmosphere. On our list of favorites and going back for a birthday dinner. The halibut was the best I have ever had dining out!
We like it. We come here a lot. They are so accommodating with dietary restrictions (gluten free, dairy free etc.). Be sure the ask for the g.f. menu if you need it. Really good ribs, fish dishes and sandwiches. Little pricey so we come for special occasions. Best to make reservations anytime you plan to eat here.
Awesome Valentine's dinner :). My boyfriend and I went here on Valentine's day for dinner. He had made reservations ahead of time and they called him the day before just to confirm, which I thought was a good idea on their part to avoid no shows. Holy man was the food delicious. It was a four course meal, I had the lobster pot stickers, tomato bisque, filet mignon with lobster and the strawberry Bavarian cream pie. The sauce on the lobster pot stickers was a bit too spicy for me, but that's just a preference thing I guess, the boyfriend really liked them. Everything else I had was excellent and cooked perfectly, especially the lobster, and the tomato bisque and the pie, I just really enjoyed everything lol. The boyfriend had tempura lamb, Caesar salad, rack of lamb and the chocolate torte. He was equally as impressed as I was. We tried everything from each other's plates and I really likes his lamb tempura, which I ate most of and he ate most of my pot stickers, which worked out just fine for us. My filet mignon could have had some sort of sauce on or under it to add a bit of flavour but it was cooked perfectly and had amazing texture. We will definitely be returning once we can afford it again as it is very expensive, but worth it.
Consistently Excellent. This is always on my list of favorite restaurants in Winnipeg. If out-of-town visitors are in, I always recommend trying Infernos. If I'm going to meet someone or going out for lunch or dinner, I always consider this place as a possibility.
Every time I visit the service is top-notch- friendly, informative, and intuitive. The food is always good and a good value for the quality and freshness of the food. There's always that french feeling of simple and regional, but high quality dishes served as deliciously as possible. I love their mussels section on the menu.
I don't like going to the same places over and over again, but it doesn't feel that way when I visit Inferno's because the menu is always changing- there's always a new list of specials so it's always a fresh experience.
And they have a fun cocktail menu.
I always think of this restaurant as a 5 star restaurant for 3 star prices, definitely try this one if you haven't been yet!

A Traveller's Review. If you want French food and great desserts, you need to check this place out. The food in this restaurant are amazing! You might want to reserve a table when coming to this place because it can get packed really quickly, especially during dinner time. The entire atmosphere in the restaurant creates such a home type feeling that you might not want to leave...
As a fairly frequent flyer of Inferno's there are several reasons why I keep coming back. Staff is always attentive and bends over backwards to provide a positive experience. Prices are very reasonable. The dinner specials are outstanding and there are always plenty to choose from. Terrific wine list. Despite many people being packed into a rather small space, the noise levels never rise to the point where I must raise my voice to be heard. They can handle a larger party seamlessly.
One night when friends and I arrived having a reservation, the previous party at our table were yet to leave and they continued to linger. Although we said nothing to the staff, they brought us complimentary lobster pot stickers to munch on while we waited and apologized, although it really didn't take all that long.
On another occasion it was a very busy night, and the staff had an unexpected party of six walk in. Since we'd just gotten there and our food had not arrived yet, they asked if we could move to another table just a couple steps away so they would be able to move some tables to make room for the larger party. We said no problem. They gave us a free round of drinks for those two steps.
Highly recommended.
Always Wonderful. I would definitely have to say this is one of my favourite restaurants in Winnipeg. Whether I'm on a date with someone special or dining out with friends, it's always been a great experience.
I'll review my most recent experience here: as a special treat, my boyfriend made reservations for last Tuesday, right after I finished my last final exam of the semester. Upon arrival, we were greeted and then promptly seated. The interior is very cozy and tastefully decorated. Water arrived quickly, and shortly after that our server greeted us and went over their specials. There are usually several, and the server lists them by price. The severs are very kind about reviewing the specials if you ask them to, since it can be a lot of information at once. The server left to give us some time to make a decision. My boyfriend and I went over the wine menu to select an option. They had a wine feature/special that night that also included the option of a flight (3 different kinds of wine; all from the same producer, 2 of the same variety from different years and 1 of a different variety...I can't remember what they were), but we opted for something from their regular wine menu, which has an excellent selection of different varieties and prices. Once she returned I ordered their halibut special, the duck pot stickers and a half litre of Hob Nob pinot noir and my boyfriend ordered the rib special.
After our order was taken, bread was delivered and then our wine. An assortment of soft, warm bread was served with soft/whipped butter. My boyfriend and I also enjoyed the wine. Next, our duck pot stickers arrived. They are served with orange, basil and chili sauce. I really, really liked the orange sauce served on top of them.
The amount of time between our appetizer and entree was perfect; just enough time that we had a chance to let our stomachs settle with our bread and appetizer, but not so long that we started wondering where our meals were.
Both our meals were plated quite nicely, with very attractive placement and garnishing. My halibut was very lightly battered, with (if I recall correctly) ginger on top, served with braised red cabbage and something similar to mashed potatoes (I can't recall exactly what it was). I was not planning on writing a review about this meal so I did not make a point to remember all the details, but what I do remember was that it was all VERY good. My boyfriend's ribs were very tender, juicy and with a lot of flavour. He mentioned that he enjoyed the fact they had so much flavour without having to be drenched in any sort of sauce.
At the end of our meal, we were both way too full to have dessert. However, in the past when I have dined here, there has always been an excellent selection, and I've never been disappointed.
I am always happy with food, service and ambiance at Inferno's Bistro, and last Tuesday was no exception. It was an excellent way to celebrate getting through an extremely stressful exam period. It's always nice in the winter, being cozy with a special date in soft candle light, or outside on the patio in the summer with friends and a bottle of wine. I am sure to be back again in the near future and quite enthusiastically recommend this restaurant to friends.
I love this restaurant! I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was perfect! Great service, great food, cool patio. Our favorite was the squash ravioli. I still crave it!! They always have multiple specials and tons of dessert! Thumbs up!!
I love their food. My boyfriend likes their buffalo frog legs.
Great little place to dine!. The food has been somewhat inconsistent in our experience, but overall a great little place to dine. Love the location, atmosphere, and interesting menu items. Great service, good food, would recommend. Definitely a Winnipeg restaurant staple.
We eat here often!. Perfect place for an evening date! We love eating here and trying the different menu items.
One of the best places in Winnipeg for mussels (our favorite!)
The atmosphere at the St. Boniface location is beautiful and classic. When we went there was a live band on the patio playing soft, romantic music.
Also a great place to bring out-of-town guests.
One of my favorite places. I've had both lunch and dinner at Inferno's, and every time,it was great. I have never been disappointed. The food is fresh, tasty, and well presented. There are so many specials, the menu changes constantly. In fact, I have never ordered from the regular menu because the specials are just so enticing.
Love it!
Sooooo good. We went last week for our anniversary. We started with calimari, and I had the bison medallions in sour cherry sauce, and my wife had the haddock. We were both very impressed with our dinner. For dessert we had to order the blueberry topped pie even though we were full, but it was worth it.
Will be back for sure!
Bistro Bliss!. Tina had just arrived in Winnipeg and after hearing lots of good vibes about this place, Gus had it picked out for a welcome dinner. We made a reservation on the patio and were seated next to a delightful little fake waterfall. Our server, Nick, was friendly, timely and knowledgeable. After browsing the menu and hearing all the specials, we were dizzy with all the choices! We settled on some lobster potstickers and haddock/crabcakes for a starter to be followed up by their artic char and salmon. The wait was a little long, but worth it. The evening just melted away in our dishes, each other’s company and then into a piece of chocolate caramel pie. It was a great way to spend an evening with great food and great company!
See you back there to try the lamb- we hear it is delicious!
~ Gus N’ Tina
Amazing food, inattentive servers. Recently visited Inferos for a family member's birthday, who often raved about the food. I have to admit it didn't disappoint! Everyone at the table ordered something different, and were pleased with the variety of flavours to please our palate. We enjoyed the soup (le Billy-Bi Mussels), and for entrees on their regular menu, the Veau au Grandmere and the Saumon Champagne. The daily specials were lobster potstickers, and half a thai-glazed duck which were also both delicious.
Unfortunately, the service we received was poor. The waiter seemed irate whenever we were able to get his attention (which was rare, he was often not around to be found). We enjoy a leisurely meal, but we had trouble getting our plates cleared, ordering dessert, and paying our bill because we could not get our waiter. It was a busy evening, and while the other tables around us were waited on, we had trouble catching anyone's eye.
I'm torn on whether to visit again, because I enjoyed the food so much, but did not feel valued as a customer due to the absence of the servers.
Excellent service, excellent food.. We made reservations and were taken immediately upon arrival for our table. The service was excellent, our glasses were never low on anything! The food was beyond tasty and for a good price we left very full!
OBSESSED.. Everyone I have ever taken to this place falls in love immediately. All the appetizers are brilliant and the duck confit is TO DIE FOR! If I could go every day, I would.
Delicious Evening. The food here was amazing! We had bison springrolls and three types of house made bread to start. We asked for another basket of bread because it was so tasty. For my entree, I had lamb which was prefectly cooked. For dessert, we enjoyed chocolate cheesecake which was a wonderful end to the meal. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
April 10-13. Awesome - food choices, food, & service
Plan to go back & use the patio soon, I hope
The bison spring rolls with sweet chili sauce were delicious. The bread was fresh, tasteful & was a perfect addition to the cognac mushroom soup. I indulged in the braised "half a duck" with mixed greens, roasted potato`s and crunchy eggplant. To seal the deal I polished off their Cappuccino Chocolate Cheese Cake. Had a half a litre of Peller Estates Chardonnay. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friend's & family.
Comfy, Well prepared menu. I went with a bunch, We tried various things off of each others plates.
It was all good, Muscles, Fries, Desserts, Steak... All extremely well prepared.
Have to cover my eyes when entering to avoid looking at the desserts!
I'll be back!
I went there today for my birthday. We didn't make a reservation but it was quiet due to the weather so we were seated right away. The food was amazing but the service from our waitress was quite bad. When she first approached us I notices she was a little cold and spoke with her chin raised away from us. I thought it was possible because this is a fancier resteraunt (and this was my first time here) that this may just be the tone of the resteraunt...until I saw her interacting with another larger table quite well. We had the pick up sticks which were delicious and very filling. The chicken and the beef were both flavorful and juicy. The presentation was beautiful! For dinner I had the duck which was fantastic and my partner had the BBQ chicken sandwich wich was "the best sandwich ever." We had to wait an incredible amount of time to have our plates taken away. We wanted to order dessert but since our waitress did not come to offer the dessert menu or remove our dinner we had to look up our choices online on our IPhone. Twice I considered going downstairs to find some service. When she finally came we asked for our dessert to go along with the rest of our meal since we didn't make a dent in our plates. The dinner was boxed and brought back to us but we had to pick up the dessert ourselves. The staff we delt with for the dessert were wonderfully friendly. Other lemon hazelnut tort was amazing. Very flavorful. My last complaint is that even though the resteraunt was very quiet they placed a table of 4 right next to us so instead of a nice intimate dinner we could barley hear each other. It would of been nice to have been spaced out a little better. This is one of the reasons we didn't eat our dessert in. It was not a comfortable atmosphere. The food was good enough for me to return despite the service but if it were based on service alone I would not come back.

Went here for my wifes birthday. Food was excellent. Service was amazing. Atmosphere was perfect. Really like bistros and this one is close and intimate.
I haven't been here for a couple of years, but past meals I've had were delicious. Having a glass of wine, trying different "moules et frites" (mussels and handmade fries) and a lovely dessert was my idea of a great time. The decor was interesting and modern
Very impressed!! Great atomsphere!!. I went with my girlfriend for an anniversary and i was pleasant surprised by the level of service and the quality of the food. Had a roasted duck dish and it was fantastic. Excellent flavors and the meat would melt in your mouth. The food came out in the timely manner and the sever was very friendly. Will be heading back most definitely. Make sure however that you make a reservation in advance because we showed up without one and we were lucky to get a table.
Great food. Great French food and very attentive service. I really like the lamb shank. It is usually very busy and can be loud. Recommended.
The service was spot on as my wine glass was always full and The server was helpful and checked on us every so often (amount you'd would expect to make for a great experience) I don't know why some reviews say this is expensive. We had an app and both entrees came with a soup or salad...
The food presentation was very nice and everything tasted great. We had 1/2 liter of house wine...our entres: Bison medallions wrapped in bacon with potatoes, veggies and golden beats. Second plate was the elk with the same sides. All looked and tasted amazing All for under $100. Very good experience and I will be returning.
Update: summer 2016
3 years Still my go to for entertaining out of towners.
That should say something.
Delicious. Consistent. Lots of choice. Lots of favourites.
Oh my goodness!!!. Wow. I had seriously high expectations for this restaurant and they managed to exceed them.
We made a reservation for a Friday night, and thank goodness we did. It was packed! It took a while for our server to come say hello, but we weren't in a hurry and it was very busy. They had the most incredible and interesting sounding specials i think I have ever heard. My husband chose the Bacon Wrapped Bison Tenderloin with blue cheese and sour cherry sauce. He loved it. I'm usually not a fan of bison, but i had a bit and it was truly amazing. I opted for the veal on the regular menu and was very impressed.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. I can't wait to go back!
Wonderful menu and specials and the food is quite good. The atmosphere and staff are also worth the visit. A Winnipeg gem for sure

Moules et Frites. If you're unsure what to oder, then get the mussels and fries. A specialty and a good one at that. Only downfall is I never warm up to Homes-turned-Restaurant appeal. Unless executed properly with alot of room to work on, it just almost always looks too small and crowded. This forced them to have such small tables one too many in one room. The patio is nice, but on the blistering hot days of Winnipeg summers, it's not such a pretty alternative. The only other house-turned-restaurant that I like was 529 Wellington, but then again, THAT was a mansion... just saying.

I think this place is getting tired. Surprised that absolutely every meal including specials had the identical sides. The vegetables where not in season and my steak plain with no flavor. Not thinking I want to rush back.
Great food. atmosphere..?. I have always loved Infernos. The food is always good, I just wish I wasn't always seated an elbow's lenghth away from a very loud annoying group as I was last evening. It would be nice if Infernos created a private dining room for such groups. I've never been with displeased with the food or service so i will definitely continue going back. Hopefully next time the sides change though. I think I've had my fill of their starch and veg options!
This restaurant doesn't have the easiest parking. The nearby street has construction that takes up the sidewalk. However at 7pm on a Thursday night street parking could be found.
The delicious smells of the kitchen permeated the outside air as we made our way in. The desert display tempted us as we were seated.
We were seated close to the window in not the largest table but it worked and the seats comfortable.
Our wait staff did an excellent job. She helped us choose between the many tempting dishes. She brought us our items quickly. She was there when she could help and let us enjoy our meal.
The escargots 5+/5 and the bread came first, along with the teas, loose leaf 5/5. The escargots arrived in a buttery sauce with mushrooms. I was very glad we ordered it.
Our soups, French onion 5+/5 and the roasted squash 5/5 arrived next. The French onion soup was wonderful. The soup base was great and full flavoured. The cheese added a new dimension of flavour and texture. The croutons were meaty and wonderful. The squash soup had a good flavour and texture.
Then the main dishes arrived. The Tuna was good but I have had better. The potato tasted old but was cooked okay. The zucchini was simply outstanding, I don't remember when I have had any nearly as good. The pieces of corn on the cob was also very good.
We then shared a slice of cappuccino cheesecake. Super flavour, great texture and a great cheesecake.
Can't wait to go back. If you haven't been here you really should go.
Lovely dining experience at this restaurant. Had eaten there a few times in the past and was happy to go back. We had loose-leaf tea to drink in a nice large container called a Brewt Tea Infuser - was a great way to serve a loose-leaf tea. We had escargots as an appetizer- excellent flavour with mushrooms and onions in a buttery sauce. Fresh bread was served at the beginning of the meal as well - they brought a few pieces from a baguette and a corn bread with flavoured whipped butter. We had the roasted squash soup and french onion soup - both were perfectly done. The french onion soup had a good amount of cheese on top. Our two entrees were the Arctic Char and marinated Tuna. The Arctic char had an interesting filling - stuffed with a lobster gruyère potato mousseline over a lemon verbena sauce. The Tuna was grilled with a maple soy marinade topped with strawberry, avocado mango salsa & unagi. Side grilled potatoes, zucchini and corn on the cob rounded out the mains. Loved the zucchini - best I've had in years. The entrance to the restaurant has a lovely display of the desserts available - 7 or 8 choices there. We decided on the Cappuccino cheesecake - one piece to share. Fantastic flavour. They had 2 flavors of creme brulée in the display. Will have to try one of them next time we go here. Centrally located in St. Boniface on Desmeurons - we found street parking across the street tonight.
Excellent food. Service was very good. Ambience is more of a low key family style as opposed to fancy, dressy date place.
Nice variety of mains and specials. Was out of a few things the night I went. Moule and frites are very good. Calamari was done nicely, not oily, and lightly battered. Lamb shank was done perfectly although the sauce was a bit sweet for my personal taste.
Desserts were both very good. They had a bout 8 to choose from and they all looked amazing. The creme brûlée had the perfect amount of carmalized sugar. Crispy and not overly thick.
If you want taste a different dishes with good wine, this is the place, is a lovely restaurant, exceptional client service, the only thing harder, was found one parking spot available near to the place.
Our favourite restaurant hands down. Love everything about it, the food is always great, I love the weekly changing feature menu. Great atmosphere and one of my favourite patios. We go or order take out from here at least once a month. The food is also very reasonably priced for what you are getting. The service is always great. Also get the Bavarian cream pie, you won’t regret it!
