Review Wineology - Windsor

One of the best pizzas in the city. Truly delicious flavors and well balance ingredients. Crust is perfectly thin and crisy!! Salad was average, way less exciting than the pizza. We ordered takeout - the service was great. With pizza that good, we will definitely be back. We will dine in next time and try some wine.

Went to check out Wineology last night after hearing great recommendations about it since they remodeled. If you’re ever in Walkerville , it’s worth a visit. The pizzas that we ordered (the Alex Pizza and the JC Pizza) were perfect. One of our friends ordered the goat cheese and beet salad and someone else ordered the fish tacos. Everything was delicious. They have a really nice rooftop patio as well, but unfortunately you cannot eat up there. So we went up for a second glass of wine to enjoy the views. If I had to make one suggestion to the restaurant it would be to allow dining up there. Will definitely return, highly recommend.

I stopped in for the first time on October 22nd for a friend's birthday. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the delicious menu. We ordered several dishes and shared. The meat and cheese board was a good start but the Spicy fish tacos and JC pizza (with goat cheese, figs, arugula and prosciutto) were amazing. You'll also see the brie cheese board in the photos which my friend liked although I didn't try it. At the end of the dinner, the waiter brought out a slice of cake for the birthday girl. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful. I ordered the JC pizza again got take out along with Jack's pizza and they were just as good being taken home. Worth the visit although it is slightly pricey.

So disappointed with this restaurant. It used to be one of my favorites, but it has gone downhill in service and food. Thought my last time going was a fluke, but I just went again and it's just as bad. Pizza is so thin and smaller than it used to be. It's like a cracker with toppings...and half the toppings aren't even on it. No prosciutto on either of the pizzas. Lacking flavor. Service was not great, but that's just like everywhere now. Service and food are not worth the prices. Hopefully they turn it around.

Pizza crust was so thin that it couldn’t support toppings, friend’s pizza was burnt on the bottom. Waiter wasn’t overly friendly. Overall experience was disappointing..

Warm intimate atmosphere, great spot for a date. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Would recommend!

I've never been to a restaurant where I've been so disrespected by staff, let alone the owner! My friend was disappointed with her pizza as the prosciutto was overcooked and hard to eat. We've been here before and enjoyed our food so we assumed it was just a one off and wouldn't bother mentioning it. At the end of the night we asked for takeaway boxes which took over 20 minutes.. then our bills took another 20. We wanted to leave and felt bad that there was a line up at the door of people waiting for tables. After getting our bills we asked for the interac machine... another wait. At this point we were frustrated, wanting to leave for almost an hour now. Finally my friend walked up to the closest staff member who turned out to be the owner, Jean Claude. She said "I'm sorry but could someone please come to our table with a machine so we can pay our bills, we've been waiting a while, the food wasn't great and we would really like to leave". Next thing we know the waiter comes to our table enraged and questioning us about why we "thought the food was shit?" We were shocked and told him we did not state that and simply thought the pizza was overcooked and it was mostly the wait that was disappointing. He still had not brought the machine for us. He continued to argue with us and I had to ask him to stop and again request the machine. Suddenly the owner comes over and I think to myself 'thank goodness he's going to come apologize for this waiter's attitude and take care of us'. To my utter shock, that is not what happened. The owner stands over my friend and says "We do not get complaints here, so if you have something to complain about that's your problem!" My jaw was on the floor. He continued to say "We have the best food in the city and you clearly don't have good taste in food". Now not only have we still not been able to pay for our meal and leave like we wanted, we are now being personally attacked by the owner of the restaurant. I finally got so upset I yelled "please get the machine so we can pay and leave!" Which caused a lot of heads to turn causing a scene, not my intention. To be honest we should have just walked out at that point without paying since we were so disrespected. We finally paid our bills. This is the absolute only time in my life I've felt the need to not leave a tip. On our way out, the owner came over again and we asked if we could speak with him over to the side where it was quiet. He said "no I'm not speaking to you, I'm kicking you out. Please leave". Which I find funny since leaving is what we were trying to do for the past hour. He then began physically pushing us out the door. 5 young women in their twenties getting pushed out the door by a middle aged man, owner of an upscale restaurant. I was mortified. I will never return to a place where the owner has zero regard for customer experience and shows such disrespect and arrogance. If you have an opinion, I'd recommend not going to Wineology. Completely shocked and disappointed.

We went in tonight to have a glass of wine and decided to order a appetizer and pizza. On the menu we noticed Thursday's are free samples of wine. So we casually asked the waitress, she tells us yeah it is she has to ask us some questions and she would pair a wine based on our tastes. Says after we eat she will do it. We finish our wine and pizza in the mean time tables come and go and simply drink free wine. She asks if we want our bill. I still had half a glass of wine. My husband says...well I would like another glass of wine. So the waitress says oh the same thing?!!! Do we need to beg for the same service as everyone else? So disappointing that the patrons that come in and spend well over $100 for a pizza and wine aren't even offered a sample glass when you have a girl and her friend in for a birthday and they are offered free wine tastings, free coffee mugs, dessert and a shot??? Felt so unappreciated, won't return.

First time going and it was excellent! Food was amazing, wine was delicious and the dessert ... oh that dessert... I'm still reminiscing. Our waiter was wonderful and the atmosphere is just lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant as a Windsor gem and cannot wait to go back!

Wineology is unique, lively and has a fantastic selection of food and wine. Wait time was fairly long so more staff may be something to consider. Other than that, keep rocking it guys! Love the interior design and concept!

From the service to the food and of course the wine...absolutely everything was amazing!!! Highly recommend!

The staff is great, the pizza Is great, the wine selection is very good. You have to have the cheese fondue and the desert pizza!

Well I have been to this place at least 20 times. I always sit at the bar so I can't comment on the service at a table. But I have enjoyed great service, good wine, and I cannot find anything bad to say about the food. I build my own pizza and it is fantastic. One of my favorite restaurants in Walkerville.

The wait was long, you can tell the kitchen was slammed. But our waiter was awesome and keep the drinks coming. Food was great, definitely coming back!

Do not miss out on this experience! Excellent wine list, lots of choices on the food menu, friendly staff and welcoming ambiance. Get there early if you visit on the weekends, they were completely full by 7:30 on a Friday night, reservations suggested if you don't want to be disappointed. Two welcoming bars to sit at also. The oysters were sooooo good!!!

Celebrated my parents 25th anniversary with you last night. Food was amazing, service was impeccable and the atmosphere was great as always. Thankyou for accommodating our large group. We will definitely be back :)

Just came from the restaurant and had a pleasant time! Although the food didn't all come out at the same time, the waiter was awesome and made up for it with some extra wine! Food is always good, sure it is a little pricier but the atmosphere is worth it. Cheers with a toast to thirsty Thursday girls night!

Love the atmosphere, the staff was great, food & wine delish - there's nothing not to love! Can't wait to go back.

Had enjoyable evening. The food and wine where excellent. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was energetic.
