The taste quality seems to have been in a decline. This used to be the best Fried Chicken spot in town in my humble opinion. This is the second time that the after taste of old oil really stands out. There is a certain amount of times that you can re-use the oil for frying; and the one we had today was way past and the chicken was dark to the point of almost burnt. It looks like the diner is cutting down the cooking oil cost but at the expense of quality. It appears like we will be starting to look somewhere else when we crave for fried chicken. Such a disappointment.

Ordered from the Michigan Diner for the first time tonight. I called earlier this week about a catering order. The woman I talked to on the phone was very nice and helpful. They called the morning of to confirm. Food was delivered and arrived exactly on time and piping hot. It was delicious. The chicken was fantastic, pasta and salad was wonderful as well. Will absolutely use to cater family events again. Thank you, thank you.

Awesome broasted chicken and fries! Tiny Breast or I would have gave 5 stars. For $11.99, the owners shouldn't be stingy for a 2 piece.

Excellent home-style meals. I has meatloaf and mashed potatoes... real potato, not flakes. Pecan pie for dessert. Reminded me of mom's cooking.

Not allergen friendly-
My family and I ordered The Michigan for our event. Having an allergy to egg as well as celiac disease (no gluten), we called twice to confirm there would be a safe meal delivered.
The Michigan confirmed both times that the meal was egg and gluten free. Upon the delivery, I began eating my meal and felt extremely ill immediately. A regular gluten pita and well as an egg based sauce was sent in my separate allergen labeled meal.
A new meal was delivered, but the damage was already done as I was so harmed by this accident I had to leave the event.

Broasted Chicken looked refried, dark and greasy, also smelled fishy, like the Friday Fish Fry grease was not exchanged. Other local Michigan Diner franchisee’s did not normally have the same issue, EVER ! I’ve been a Michigan Diner Customer for years & this is NOT normal.
