Review Cocoa Pesto Bistro - Windsor

I've been a wedding photographer at several weddings that Cocoa Pesto catered, and their food is delicious! Even their vegetarian options were so tasty which is always so exciting for me. I highly recommend Cocoa Pesto for your wedding!

We had such an incredible experience with the Cocoa Pesto team! We had a "covid" wedding so had to change plans several times and every step of the way Kelly and the team were supportive, quick to respond and brought forward great solutions. When we finally had our wedding the food was absolutely delicious and we've had so many guests complimenting the dinner (especially the butter chicken!) Thanks again :)

This was a very unprofessional experience. While inquiring about wedding catering they withheld information about entertaining multiple inquiries competing for the same date. When pointedly asked if the day was held while we worked through the details, we were assured that they were working with us but they never directly answered the question in retrospect. After a number of emails and phone calls about menus and other details, days in delay responding to our follow-ups, we received an email saying someone else had already paid their deposit. We had no idea the date was not secure during our back and forth. We were simply waiting on them to get back to us. They were not forthcoming in our communications. Their actions were manipulative and self-serving. And while this may be how the business runs, after speaking at length about how busy the season was and how difficult it was to book a caterer, this withholding prevented us from following other catering possibilities. It was cruel. Maybe the food is good?

We had the best experience with Cocoa Pesto and their staff for a catered wedding reception on Aug 7th 2021. We ordered their Southern BBQ menu, it was amazing!!! The whole meal was gluten free, as the bride has Celiac Disease. They were the only cater that would prepare the whole meal Gluten free, not just a plate for the bride. We had the best macaroni and cheese, all the guests kept saying, "this is gluten free...it is amazing!!" We did not have any complaints from any guests, not one person had anything negative to say about the food. The staff delivered the food, on time, no delays at all. They helped my cousins arrange the chafing dishes, to make a better flow on our buffet tables that we had set up. They put their gloves on, and transferred all the food the chafing dishes, took all their garbage with them, They were extremely professional and very pleasant and helpful!!! We would highly recommend this catering company to any one who is looking for them to just drop off food, or if you require their staff to stay and serve etc. It was a 5 star meal and could not have been more pleased. After a crazy covid time for this wedding, it was great to have such a great company to deal with and to keep postponing the date, glad they were always available on the dates that were picked. We hired Cocoa Pesto Catering for a private family event. The food was absolutely phenomenal! The beef tenderloin was the most tender I have ever tasted! The appetizers and desserts were also stellar. The service was friendly and professional. We could not have asked for a more positive experience. They cleaned up and left a spotless kitchen, even leaving the left overs in doggie bags in the fridge. I would highly recommend using them for any event!!

Cocoa Pesto catered our wedding, and they did an amazing job. The food was delicious, and many of our guests told us how much they enjoyed it. They were also very professional, and our venue commented to us how wonderful they were to work with. Their quality of work and professionalism just made our day that much easier and more fun!

Not a happy customer!! Booked to meet with the catering organizer and no one showed. Called the office number a few times and got no answer, then called the restaurant in Windsor and no one could give me a number for a manager or owner. Finally after waiting for 40 minutes someone called and asked if Scott should up and I replied no. If you are looking for someone to cater your wedding or event i would suggest you keep on looking. Would give zero stars if i could.

Omg I am currently at a wedding where I am eating this caterers food and I had to take a moment away from the wedding to write this review. If you do not use this cater you should kick yourself as this is the best food I have ever had at a wedding. It is sooooooo delicious!!!!
