Over all Great sandwich place, Fresh ingredients and good portions. Taste good but recently they replaced white bread with chibatta bun which is little hard. Price is very reasonable. Service is quick, you can order on line ahead of time. It is definitely a must try. Cheers

My wife and I stopped by for lunch. They make amazing sandwiches & sides. The staff are very polite and friendly. We were both so full that all we had for dinner was a light salad. Because it's an actual deli, you can also purchase different meats, cheeses, etc. Great place!

Cannot thank the staff at The Great Canadian Meat Company enough for being so kind and accommodating. We have been customers for a couple of years now, and have never had a bad experience in regards to service or food, and when we arrived this weekend with our out of town family in tow they did not disappoint. Our nephew has severe nut, dairy, and sesame allergies so before ordering we approached the cashier to see if we could discuss the ingredients used. She quickly got us the help we needed. A woman soon came with the information for each item our nephew would be eating so we could ensure there was no ingredients he could not have. She also took it upon herself to make his sandwich separately to avoid any contamination. While all of this was going on their line up was only getting bigger. It may seem like a simple thing to accommodate allergies but it is not easy, and the kindness they showed our young nephew made the world of difference to him. I wish I had gotten their names so I could thank them personally. We will be back soon, and we know we will be back when he comes to visit again! PS - The fried chicken sandwich is unreal, and the french fries are the BEST in Durham, maybe ever!!!

WOW! Talk about great food. This deli makes all your sandwiches from freshly cut meats and cheeses. They will add your favorite toppings and when you sit down to enjoy your creation, you will find out just how fresh their bread is. Check it out and enjoy.

The deli food was excellent. I had a smoked meat sandwich with mac and cheese for the side, and it was fantastic. The interior was very clean, the shop portion looked to be well stocked (I need to grab a box of hot dogs next time I’m in), the staff were friendly and quick. If you choose to go around the typical lunch hour, expect that the lineup could be out the door. However, because the staff is fast, you won’t have to wait long to get your hands on terrific food.

I Went here around 1:30pm for the first time post covid and definitely didn’t appreciate the lack of customer service. Girl who took my order had a horrible attitude and that I ought to be wasting her time. Also spent $48 to receive two little hairs in between my sandwich. Quality is obviously good but I could do without the poor behaviour of your staff.

Mouth watering delicious. Something about that honey mustard sauce brings it all together 👌🏽 I highly recommend!

Terrific value! Can get a hefty lunch for $10, and when I mean hefty, I mean hefty. The picture doesn't do it justice, and the burger is bigger in real life. Service was quick, and the burger was high quality. Salad was alright, I feel like you might as well get another burger since it's better value. Definitely would think about going to this place weekly! Oh, and atmosphere was clean, and modern, but yet rustic in some parts.

Excellent sandwiches . Soups are good. I would not say excellent unless they were totally homemade broth etc. But they are still good. Extreme value at this location and definitely very high quality meats. Also option of salads and cheeses and other items. Never had a bad sandwich. Thankful to have this type of place.

This is the best place for a lunchtime sandwich. Montreal smoked meat...egg salad...corned beef...all were magnificent!!!!!!

Best kept secret is all I can say!!! My son had 4 of the pepperoni sticks on route to our cottage last night. When I was in the store I watched a gentleman buy about 10 packages of the Smoked Mild Sausage for a Canada Day BQ in Tweed On. Enjoy the BQ Tweed On..

First time in there. Had lunch with my mom. She had egg salad w the potato soup and i had the schnitzel sandwich with fries. So delish. Will def be back!

Best place for lunch if your in the area and pick up some sausages for bbq at home.

I live out of town about 40 minutes east. Every couple months I make the trek to this amazing spot for the BEST EVER Hot Corned Beef on Rye sandwich. I also buy a few deli meats, a jumbo pack of their Mild BBQ Smoked Sausages, and a bag of sausage buns. If I lived closer I'd be there every day for a sandwich lol Love The Great Canadian Meat Company - always friendly courteous staff!!

Fast, tasty, reasonably priced food. Can't beat their liverwurst on rye!

This company has consistently delivered such great quality products at such a great price. I have gotten a party tray from them, as well as sandwiches and deli meats. With their new renovated dine-in space, I can see visiting them even more now! Do not miss!
