I always have a great experience visiting Caldense and returned for the chicken club sandwich. It’s made fresh to order and served on a Portuguese bun. They have many speciality pantry items as well as a large selection of pastries, desserts and baked goods. I’ve also ordered cakes from their extensive selection made fresh to order and it was incredible! 🍰
Whenever I'm in Whitby, I stop by to get some Pasteis de Nata (custard tarts), as they are some of the best I've found around the GTA. They have a really nice patio set up now during Covid. Buy six, no tax...
They don't accept credit card, so be sure to bring cash or debit...
Portuguese tarts? This is the best place to get them.
Pastry? This is the best place to get them.
Bread? This is the best place to get them.
Lunch? They have good sandwhiches and luncheons.
Coffee? They've got that too.
There's parking in the back as well so parking is not a problem. If I'm around, I'm here all the time.
Definitely visit this bakery if you’re in the area! They have several pastries and a nice sandwich menu too. Sit outside when the weather allows it and have yourself a relaxed morning.

My wife was searching exactly for this kind of place & tastes. We tried all types of Tarts & Cannoli which ai think this place is famous for.
