The Tycoon is our go to place. Food is fantastic and staff are great. Tommy makes each and every guest feel like they are family. We recommend the Tycoon to friends and family as a must eat there place when in Whitby.

This authentic Greek restaurant has fabulous ambiance...and the food, mmmmm: the taste and portions are so amazingly fantastic that I get to enjoy some the next day! The staff are always courteous and attentive. My only advice is to make a reservation (to ensure you get seating) and start with the saganaki...such a treat!
We have been here many times and love the food and staff. Our son always picks this restaurant for his bday dinner. We went last night to celebrate his 19th bday and had a wonderful evening.. Our waitress Hilary (sorry if it's spelt wrong) rocked!!! We shall return ��

As soon as we walked in the smells were amazing. The Greek salad is perfect. Fresh ingredients. The dressing is light but very favourable. Lots of feta but not too much. It was even the perfect temp. Not room temp but not too too cold. Both my husbands and my meal were stupendous. Seriously great food! Ill go back for sure!
What a Night!!.... "Greek Night"..the most delicious Greek food we have ever had....we haven't had this much fun in along time.....the band, the staff, the breaking of dishes, the flower petals were awesome, and the ouzo was flowing... it really felt like everyone was family.... Our Hosts Tom , Gus and Margaret were gracious and couldn't do enough to make sure everyone was having a great time and participating.
The best restaurant in Whitby. Been going in there since 1998. Ambiance is fabulous, friendly and fast service. Food is always fresh and have good selection of scrumptious dishes.

Family owned local restaurant. Superb, friendly service, and tasty food with generous portions, all at a fair price. We order for take out fairly often, but also eat in, taking friends and family there from time to time. Great place to fill up hungry people, and enjoy a taste of Greek hospitality.
Had lunch with a friend today and we both enjoyed it so much. Their lunch portions are huge and staff is so friendly, one of the managers had us smiling and laughing so much, we really enjoyed the amazing customer attention! Thanks for the ouzo lol will definitely dine here again :)

Best Greek Food in Whitby! The ambience is cozy and staff staff are friendly and pleasant and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Many delicious main entrees to choose from and they offer a variety of apppetizers to die for. Ask for Tom he is the best and always takes the time to make conversation with everyone who visits the restaurant. You feel right at home! Don’t miss out on visiting “The Greek Tycoon”

Gotten takeout twice here, always busy, waited 10+ mins longer than told both times. Food is good for the price. Their gyros are very good, as are their potatoes and rice. Wraps are decent, but the salads are mediocre. Overall, it’s a reliable and enjoyable takeout place in Whitby.
We have been getting take out from here for years now. it is a bit of a drive but definitely worth it. Very good portion sizes, everything is great and always yummy! We always order extra potatoes as my daughter loves them. We enjoy the leftovers for days after. Service is great, owner is very personable and always remembers my name. Great guy and we will continue to buy from them in the future. Covid fixture for take out for us in past 2 years. Highly recommend.
I literally drive 25km just to order and pick it up for dinner. Its that good!!!

I used to come here all the time with my parents when I was a kid. My fiancee told me he wanted Greek food, so I suggested we try their food again and boy were we happy with our meals! It was so fresh, flavourful, and my fiancee said that they all seemed very friendly. We have so many leftovers too. Everything was made with so much love! You can taste it in every bite ❤ We will definitely be back! Thank you for a delicious meal 🥰
Updating with my latest experience. Once again Greek Tycoon hit it outta the park. Ordered dinner on a Friday evening and wow, this has been the best experience by far. The chicken skewers were tender and the veg platter was phenomenal - cooked to perfection with the good mix of veggies. The light green dip continuous to be the family favourite. Just a side note, we order fairly regularly but the quality this Friday has been above par; would love to see this every time we eat here.
Previous review: Their lamb gyro and vegetable platter have been my staple for a while now. There’s a dip that comes with the platter that I’m hooked on…. I need more of that stuff.
We ordered dinner from The Greek Tycoon to celebrate my birthday with family. They absolutely went “over and above” to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful dinner…. Greek Tycoon has some of the best tasting Greek food I have ever eaten! This is my go to place for any occasion! Run by some of the nicest and most caring people. The experience is truly perfect! I would highly recommend Greek tycoon to anyone looking for a great meal and great experience.
