A few weeks ago I was invited to the Petit Lapin second anniversary. The event took place at Station 16 on St-Laurent and it was a different concept to have sweets in an art gallery. I try to stay away from sweets as much as possible but as the saying goes “when in Rome” so I let myself tempted to try some cupcakes. I thought they were very good and only found out after that Petit Lapin is a bakery that specializes in sweets that are allergy free providing products that are also organic and vegan. I have to admit that I was very surprised that it did not affect the taste in any ways.
Best option for everyone!. I was very excited to try Petit Lapin because they are known be the cutest bakery shop in town plus my boyfriend is allergic to egg and nuts. This place is totally perfect for us!
We got a box of 6 cupcakes to go. The cake itselft is very moist and the frosting is very fluffy, creamy and not too sweet. It's hard to believe that they are made without egg, butter, wheat, etc. Yes, they are free of the 10 top allergens and they are gluten free as well! My fave is the chocolate cupcake!
We also tried their macarons. How can they make them without egg and almond? Again, it's hard to believe but they are tasty and simply melt in my mouth. My fave is the coconut macaron! As for my boyfriend, he was in tears because it was his first time trying a macarons without getting any reactions! I loves them all!
We will definitely come back to try their donuts, cake pops and even apple pies. Finally a place where everyone can enjoy sweets and is not being left behind!
