Have eaten here a few times while visiting family in the area and have never been disappointed. The food is very tasty and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxed. Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend!
Highly recommend. Delicious as always, they never disappoint! Flavour of food and service are always top-notch. Have never had take-out, but their restaurant is never packed, so getting a table is easy and relaxing. Have been eating here for 10 years, since they first opened on Marine. No drop in quality. Price isn't "cheap," but it's no more expensive than most restaurants on the North Shore.
Handi open at new location with nice and coze Decore. Food is always very good. Try there new items in menu. I loved it and plain to go back again with my friends .
Great local restaurant. Good basic Indian food perfect for Friday nights with friends.
THE BEST INDIAN IN THE LOWER MAINLAND. I cannot believe the low percentage handi has been given!! I am telling you we are indian food devotees and have tried on many occasions the main competitors: vj's, sitar etc. and we can hands down say that handi has THE BEST indian food no question!!- we have eaten here for YEARS and it is consistently excellent!!- they have the best quality meat, fresh tasting vegetables and top quality ingredients, no grease, excellent rich sauces, truly everything- the service is OUTSTANDING as well- and you don't have to take my word for it, just look at how packed they are for dinner and for take out- the phone is ringing constantly- (still shocked!!)
The way Indian Food should be!!!. I have gone to VJ's and people always rant how awesome that place it, but seriously, VJ's has nothing on this place!
Service was friendly! Definitely a very nice dining experience! Atmosphere was awesome! I could actually see what I was eating (I dislike it when places are dark) Dishes arrived in metal boats, so that a candle was situated underneath, so the food was bubbling when it arrived, and oh my! The flavors were delightful. Our group finished every last morsel! The nan bread was epic! Will going back very soon!
Also, nearby the ambleside trail walk so it is a wonderful dinner option after a nice afternoon walking! :-D
SO GOOD!. My family goes there at least monthly, but more like every 2-3 weeks. It is our absolute favourite place to go to. Their butter chicken is the best possibly in Canada. The rest of their food is just sooooo mouthwateringly good.
Good food. Very casual atmosphere with good ocean views. A bit expensive given the decor, but overall worth it.
Great Eats!!. I dined at Handi east indian cuisine the other night. To be honest I was hesitant at going to an Indian restaurant (my favorite food is not Indian). However, the food at Handi was unbelievably good, and I've turned over a new leaf for Indian food. I would definetly recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to indulge in the finest of Indian cuisines. The service was great, the menu was full of choices, and the food was just fantastic.
A Culinary Experience. I love butter chicken, I have a craving to eat here every couple of weeks to get my "fix". All the food I have tried here is rich, tasty, and a textural and taste experience. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy spice!
We had Murgh Shahi Korma (Boneless chicken cooked in white cashew nut sauce) and Lamb Methi (Boneless lamb cooked with garlic in a special curry sauce)with rice & naan bread. Of course I ordered to be very spicy but they did not have enough kick :P well, at least for my liking. Both curry came out in heated double layer bowl, which seemed very proper for Indian restaurants compared to other places that I have been to. Murgh Shahi Korma was very creamy and has little bit of sweet flavor to it. Then, Lamb Methi had typical curry base mixed with some garlic. I actually liked lamb methi better:)
