Following an eventful and happy day of Sangria and Lager’s proposal (congrats to them!!! YAY!), we had a celebratory dinner at Carmelo’s in West Vancouver because it was near Whytecliff Park, where Lager popped the question. Carmelo’s is a very cozy, intimate and romantic restaurant (without the pretentiousness that could sometimes come along with these types of restaurants). I would like to highlight the impeccable service that night. Our server and bussers kept coming around every 5-10 minutes, filling our water, clearing plates, making sure everything was okay.

Came here for staff Christmas dinner. The service was excellent as the waitress kept constantly coming to check up on us for drinks before ordering since we were waiting for a coworker to arrive. The overall food was very delicious.
Free Appetizer Bread: I LOVED their aioli they served with the bread. I couldn't stop eating it.
Dungeness crab cake with Scallop: Super delicious. Soft. Full of dungeness crab. The scallop was cooked the perfection.
Pasta: I got the Linguini Di Mare, but I switched up the tomato sauce into the garlic and cream sauce. It was damn delicious. Even the waitress said it smelt so good. I devoured it so fast. It was kind of embarrassing almost since all my coworkers barely touched their's and I was almost done.
Tiramisu Cake: In my opinion, they soaked the lady fingers way too long. It was soggy. It made the overall cake not appetizing.
Carmelo's is a staple in West Vancouver. I have been going since I was a kid for countless family dinners, and over the years they have consistently delivered tasty Italian food, great service and an inviting atmosphere. They have an extensive menu with all the classics, but also serve delicious daily specials. I've noticed that the ingredients are always really fresh, especially their seafood. As another plus, the kitchen is willing to make substitutions and special requests with any meal. If you happen to be in West Van and are looking for a family-friendly environment and satisfying Italian meal, head to Carmelo's!
I felt under dressed but. When I came in I saw a variety of different people. The ambiance seems like a fancy restaurant but after I sat down and ate I was fine. Really good food here and that night a chef was singing a Italian song in the kitchen which was entertaining and funny haha. I had a wonderful time
Delicious authentic Italian, great staff. When my office used to be across the street, it was one of favourite lunch rotation spots. The food is decadently delicious and the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. I tend to like the classics on their menu (fettuccine alfredo, yum!), but they also have wonderful daily specials. The servers are friendly, they get to know their customers and recognize regulars. Case in point, I love their butter lettuce salad, but I would usually leave the tomatoes off, so after a few visits, they stopped putting on tomatoes on the plate and instead added a couple extra olives. Love this. Prime example of the little things that make their staff so great.
A good mix of authenticity and portion! The service was excellent although they can get very busy at lunch and could use another server. I would recommend the scallops and prawns with tomato sauce with linguine! Fresh, tasty and large portion!
Best Italien Resto in WV. Our favourite Italien Resto in West Vancouver. Delicious food, good service despite extremely busy. Must try their house-made tiramisu, the best in my opinion!
Just had an excellent lunch here. Good food at agood price. I think I will go back for dinner some day.
Good Food, Traditional. Nice food, you get what you expect. Traditional Italian restaurant dishes, rich comfort food!
...friendly staff, in a relaxing environment. All at a price that won't break your budget; And just what I like. As good as food is I don't want to spend a lot on it, considering I don't get to keep it any longer than my digestive system allows. "Carmelo's" is a cozy restaurant with a decor as classic and as simple as its dishes. Tables are dressed in white linens with metal utensils placed neatly on top. Large paintings occupy empty spaces on the wall, and nothing really distracts from the food or the company you are with. This is a favorite spot of many locals and the famous from the West Coast. Customers come in a range of ages and ethnicities and are blue collars t
