Review Ginza Sushi - West Kelowna

Logan Bittner
Pretty good sushi at a very reasonable price! The value here is great and it’s probably the best sushi in West Kelowna. The inside was nice and the service was super friendly. A nice little gem in West K

The worst experience I have every had with a sushi place and I have been to a lot. I decided to try this place and pick up some food on my way to salmon arm after driving from van. When I got home I opened up what cost me almost $80 and to my surprise there was no ginger and wasabi that was the first thing then the sushi it’s self was done very poorly super small rolls, that looked like someone just squeezed all the food into the plater you will see the pic anyway the point is the cost wayyyyy to much for what they did and they also did it sloppy. That reminds me the sashimi was rubbery. If I’m paying top dollar for food I expect top quality and food presentation.

We've been to a lot of sushi restaurants, this one is among the top 3! Excellent service, try the volcano and spider rolls, gyoza (deep fried) tempura dishes also very tasty, not greasy. Excellent sushi!

Service was quick and the server was super friendly. My wife and I ordered a few different rolls and some sashimi. The food was great, fresh and super tasty. From the simplicity of the sashimi to the more complex deep fried rolls this place nailed it all. We really were surprised that this place had much better sushi than 95% of the sushi places we tried in Vancouver.

Ordered 6 rolls Cowboy, Alaska, spicy tuna, spicy Salmon, spicy scallop, unagii. None of them were good. The rolls are tiny maybe the size of a loonie or toonie depending on the roll. They also really skimp on the good parts, like the tuna, salmon, avocado. You'll get lots of "crunchy bits" and immitation crab. Flavour leaves a lot to be desired as well. I say 3 stars because it's average for Kelowna/West Kelowna. Unfortunately that means not very good. The search for good sushi continues.

Excellent food. Kitchen was a bit overwhelmed; order slow to arrive but well worth the wait. Staff very pleasant.

Discovered this gem while bike shopping in the area. Popped in for a lovely lunch. I had the lunch special - Poke bowl with avocado, seaweed and sprout salad. My significant other had the sushi box. They had a good selection on the menu. Service was quick and with a smile. Loved the booth seating for extra privacy.

An excellent Zomato find travelling in the area. Pleasant surrounds, welcoming hostess and staff, happy to assist with explanations . The food so fresh and well presented. Sizzling seafood & vegetables with sides looked and tasted great. Can only recommend.

Excellent sushi and service!! Everything was fresh and fast. A bit on the pricey side but worth it... you get what you pay for! This place is a must for anyone that likes good sushi.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the value is amazing! Great place to go any occasion. I've been to the ginza sushi many time but never been disappointed - same fabulous food, great service and quality freshness whether they are busy or quite. Presentation is great as always.... open on Sundays as we found out !
We just moved to Kelowna and this is the first sushi place we've tried out. The prices seem a little above average (comparing to White Rock/Surrey) but the quality is very good and very fresh. We order a lunch box, dragon roll, and salmon avocado. The dragon roll was one of the best I've had so far, the rest was very good as well. It's a very quiet spot so the service was excellent as well. I would recommend this sushi place if you're driving by and would like a good sushi meal.

I was so surprised to find such a great sushi restaurant in west kelowna since I moved from the coast. Very generous portions and friendly atomsphere. All the specialty rolls were delish~~~ So far it is the best Japanese restaurant in Kelowna area.

Best sushi in Westbank!. Been a regular here since they opened, i would have to say it is the best sushi place in Westbank! Spicy Sashimi is the best.

Great Sushi In West Kelowna. Looking at some of the posts, I think some people are getting this restaurant confused with a downtown location. I'm talking about the Louie Dr Location. This is a smaller restaurant with lots of personality! There is a very nice modern decor, with great service. Sit down, relax, have a drink, and watch the chefs in the corner make your items. The menu has a great selection of sushi rolls, and the rolls come out with quality and consistency. If you are looking for something special, just ask the owner. She also does some of the sushi chef work and has high stakes, so will definitely make something special for the more adventurous sushi goers. The rest of the rolls are also very good quality. I was very impressed with their level of service and fresh ingredients. I live in the area and will be back for sushi in Westbank in stead of always making the trip downtown !! Thank you Ginza.

Awesome experience!. We went there for lunch on a friend's recommendation. The food was unbelievable good, the service good, the selection of dishes available big, the prices very reasonable. Highly recommended !

Average sushi at above average prices. Servers change all the time, and don't seem to be enjoying themselves. There are better choices like Itto and Asian food restaurant (AFR) both in Kelowna.

My fave for Japanese food. This is the spot for Japanese food, I love it there. It's a bit expensive for the dinner buffet, but it is a real Japanese buffet. I prefer to go earlier in the day when it's about $14 compared to $18 in the evening. It's a cute little restaurant that's comfortable to sit in. They also have little private tables with a curtain.

A big fan. I come here often when I'm in the Downtown area. The food is great, and the setting is very cozy and nice to be around.

Their Spider Roll is amazing! You must try it if you are a fan of seafood!
