Excellent value for the money. Wholesome food. You can tell by the taste that natural ingredients are being used. Lively atmosphere as people are enjoying the food.
Went there last night. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food is good, I can't say it's excellent but it's good.
Recommended to me through a colleague. The interior was surprisingly very nice, in contrast with the rather dingy location. I had the daily special sandwich with a side salad. The sandwich was wonderful, the bread so fresh, and the portion was more than enough for me. I was not overly impressed with the house salad dressing, but others in my party seemed to enjoy it. Having a bite of my friend's pasta dish, I wasn't crazy about their homemade tomato sauce either. However, I would go back for the porchetta sandwich anytime it was on special!
Hands down this place has the best homemade (really homemade) Italian in Welland and probably one of the best in Niagara. The sauces are excellent (red, alfredo, rose, alio, marsala). The pizza is crispy and thin, better than most wood oven burning pizza. The Chicken Parm is HUGE, the Rice Balls are excellent, the Steak Marsala is awesome....I can go on but you get my point. The service is great and the wine list is very reasonably priced. Try it yo won't be disappointed.
We were here last year and this year for the Welland Triathlon and we made sure that we reserved a table at Don Marco's. It was just as great as last year, the best sauce and veal parm I have ever had. Our table was impressed, some returned the next night. The food the service and generously priced portions make this the best italian in town. Oh ya they have the awards to back up the claim of #1. See you in August for the next Triathlon.
If your looking for some of the best Italian this is the place. Best rice Balls and alfredo around. The Tiramisu is huge and is simply delicious.
This place deserves all the awards it has won since it opened. The best traditional Italian i have ever had, just as good as my late Nona's. You have to try the Lasagna and the Seafood Pasta, they have the best red sauce in Niagara. Great service, great food and good portions keep me coming back
The best Italian I have ever had. I love this place. Great Menu. Great People, Great service. I have now been here four times and it never disappoints. You can't go wrong with the Parms. I love the Lasagna, so much meat and the red & white sauce finish puts it over the top. I would also recommend the Penne Pollo, a contemporary Italian pasta dish made with curry. As for starters the winner's are the Rice Balls (crispy, creamy and gooey) and the Calamari (the best in Niagara). You want Italian in Niagara you have to eat at Don Marcos.
Amazing Food - Great Date Night Value. My boyfriend and I were at Don Marcos yesterday for Date Night. To start we shared the rice balls. They were so good, crispy on the outside and creamy and gooey on the inside. We each had the house salad, fresh crisp and a great Balsamic dressing. My husband had the Chicken Parmigiana and had the Eggplant Parmigiana. They were excellent (great pasta sauce) and the portions were generous. To finish we shared one of the best Crème Brule we had ever had. The service was great, our server Lisa was just awesome. This great deal came with a glass of wine each for only $49 per couple. We will be back soon.
Great Italian Great Service Great Restaraunt. My rowing team was in town for the ROW Ontario Masters and some of the locals recomended Don Marco's. The food was amazing. From the pasta sauce to the steak to the rice balls all of us were impressed. The prices were cheap in comparison of what I usually pay . Deb our server was a pro at her job and we truly enjoyed our dinning experience. It was a pleasure in speaking with the manager and the Chef at the end of our meal and promised that I would give them an honest review. So you next year
Just like my Nona's but without the fuss. We do not eat out much when it comes to Italian food. I would say that this is one of the only place we will go out for Italian food. This tastes just like my Nona would make, traditional red sauce, homemade Gnocchi and meatballs and the best veal in town. There is so much more that we will have to try on our next visit. The staff and service was excellent. The bonus is that the wine list and menu are cheap for the great quality you get.
MAGNIFICO!. Dont tell my mom I said this but this food is better than her cooking and she cooks great Italian food. went with friends for appetizers and vino and the food was so good we stayed for dinner. loved the fettuccine alfredo and we finished the evening with a speciality coffee. yummy! we ordered one of each so we could try them all.If you live in Welland or can make the trip there I am sure you will enjoy it as much as my friends and I did.
We were invited to a birthday party at this wonderful quaint place. We were a party of 12 and from start to finish the experience was Top Notch! The place was full, the service was excellent. .the music was good but most of all the food was out of this world. Very highly recommend this place!
A Wonderful Dining Expierience. We were told about Don Marco's from my neighbors the raved about the place. So a few friends planned a dinner . This is such a nice little place and the staff is very friendly. But the main attraction here is the food. Traditional Italian sauce, fresh veal and chicken parm, homemade lasagna, meatballs, creme brule,..... we had a table of six and we had a great evening. The reasonable priced wine (it always helps), great food, great service and visit to the table from the Chef to see if we enjoyed our meal made it wonderful evening. Very few places put so much effort into the entire dining experience...Don Marco's does it well
Great food, great menu, great people, great place. My wife and I were visiting a cousin in Welland and for the first time ever we went out to eat in his home town (we usually go to St Catherines). He said he heard good thing about this place but don't expect much this is Welland. Boy we were all impressed. Being from Toronto I felt like I was at home with the tasteful decor. The food was cheap compared to what I would normally pay. We split the Polenta Frito and the Rice Balls they some of the best I ever had. My wife had the veal (so tender and meaty not just breading) and I had the steak marsala my cousin had the Alfredo. The food was very good and the potions were generous. I will definatly be back
