Review Lion Brewery Restaurant - Waterloo

Awesome place. Really quick service. Extremely friendly servers. And the best part is their amazing beer. Friends and I drive from Toronto to waterloo just to come here. So yeah I would say if you live in loo you need to go here.

Downstairs at the Huether... always seem to end up here when feeling like great wings and a cold beer. First came here 20 years ago when I was studying at UofW, and been coming back ever since. The suicide wings are the best!

The staff here is SO kind and generous. Frequent check-ins to ensure everything is good. I got the cajun salmon here, and I found the portion to be quite small for the price. Otherwise I must say, for someone that does not like fries, their waffle fries are amazing!

Terrible service here. My friends and I came here to meet some other friends who were already seated and we completely denied of service. We were rudely told that they were not accepting seating anymore without giving us a wait time or an acknowledgement that we would even be seated. We left to find somewhere else to eat when our friends called us back claiming that they were accepting seating again. You guys might need to work on your customer service.

Great place for brunch, lunch or dinner. Can accomodate large groups. Great service and food.

Was a part of a private party here. The food was good but very little was made to order, the bulk was frozen. Good but not unique. The server was fabulous and timely and great! The venue was pretty cool. Though we were told all pinball machines worked we found only half of them did and one ate a bunch of coins without yeilding a play. Pool table were nice. Beer was good.

The food and the atmosphere was awesome. I love the history behind it. I'm very glad that they have persevered it so well. Great selection of food to choose from. If you enjoy craft beer then this place is a must when in Waterloo. Only downfall was the service. The servers seem completely miserable and hate their jobs.

The prices were a bit high, but the food was masterfully created and presented. They had a large variety of drinks, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. The atmosphere has a good feel, and the open kitchen isn't too loud. They have both booth and chair seating. I would recommend getting a booth as the floor isn't completely even due to being an old-time basement in a hotel, but it isn't unbearable regardless. Tl;dr: good food, good atmosphere for a unique dining/drinking experience.
