Review The Bauer Kitchen - Waterloo

Had a nice date night here good atmosphere, good food can be kinda loud on a Friday night but all in the fun. Some unique cocktails must try but if you get to the dessert after dinner drinks they are very much worth it. Steak and meat were good could bring more variety with grilled/sautéed veggies in the loop. But overall good ambiance, atmosphere food drinks and good company you will enjoy. Shout out to Stephen for taking care of us 😉

Went there with some friends. The patio is now open and they have really good vibes. We ordered different dishes. Burgers, Bowls and Pasta. The burger tastes really good and the fries are nice. The bowls were good too. The portion is nice. The pasta wasn't the best but i would say it was okay. Overall experience is good

Had an amazing experience at The Bauer Kitchen tonight. My boyfriend and I came to celebrate our anniversary and we have nothing but good things to say. The service was great our waitress was friendly and amazing. I have a dairy allergy and the restaurant was incredible with plant base items and alterations for allergies. Both the regular menu and plant based menu were great! Thank you so much, they even added a special treat at the end (completely dairy free + vegan)

Decided to come out tonight to support a restaurant on the eve of yet another lockdown. The food was AMAZING the steaks were perfectly cooked. And the rest of the food was great. Our daughter had the kids spaghetti and loved it. Staff was very friendly and happy even though they were going to be laid off again the next day. Keep your heads up we will be back again.

Incredible. Such a nice rustic interior, service is really good. Parking was easy to find as well. Food is unreal. Would give it 6 stars if I could. Reasonably priced too for a nice restaurant like that! Loved it so much!!

Very disappointed the food was at best average, no pizazz’s, in fact we sent back the butternut squash soup, no taste, especially not like butternut squash soup. The balance of the experience was awful, the service by our waitress was non-existent, as she worked the bar and almost never visited our table without asking for service, extremely frustrating. In fact it was so bad the waitress kept apologizing. The restaurant decor is stunning the only reason they got three stars is it’s a nice place to hang out and talk. Given the restaurant was only a third full my recommendation is to try another place to dine. There’s no reason why the service was horrendous. Thanks Mark

Place is happening and cozy. We really enjoyed fabulous ambient with delicious food and coziness. Their food having really unique flavors with their in-house recipes. We had pizza which was nicely done on paper thin crust, base sauce was amazingly flavorful, fried chicken sandwich was beyond my expectations, chicken was crispy outside with having all the juices in. Service was fantastic, friendly staff.

We went on a weekend for dinner and it was quite packed since it was convocation weekend. Thankfully we had reservations so we didn’t wait too long. We got served our drinks and menus right away. We asked for hot water and got that very quickly too. For the starter, we got the Crispy Sundried Tomato Arancini Bites (13.95) and it was so crispy and the fior de latte cheese pull was amazing. Next, we got the Pesto Pollo ($19.95) because we saw the wood stove oven and we weren’t disappointed. We love white sauce based pizza and interestingly it came with some red sauce on top with the sundried tomatoes. The last thing we got was the Bacon & Blue Burger ($21.95), this wasn’t our favourite since the patty was overcooked and dry. As well, we couldn’t really taste the blue cheese which was a bit disappointing. However, the fries were crispy and well seasoned. The waiters always provide amazing service here, they are quick and very kind. We highly recommend the Bauer Kitchen!

Excellent service, our server was Tess and she was attentive throughout our evening. The appetizers we had (calamari, duck wings, and the fried brussels sprouts and spuds) were all great. Dinner entrees (smoked chicken pizza, beet salad, burger, salmon and the gnocchi) were all flavourful. We celebrated my son's birthday and he was given the chocolate nemesis with a candle to blow out. We were a party of 7 and we all enjoyed a fantastic evening!

I was there for lunch recently with a large party [14]. We had three vegetrians in our party and the special menu we were presented with did not offer any true vegetarian options. The server was able to accommodate by offering [two] modifications on the large group menu. There also was not gluten free option

Lovely atmosphere, great service and delicious menu. My husband and I had the hoisin duck confit wings, the lamb meatballs, the braised beef gnocchi and the sopressata pizza. Top that off with a couple of espresso’s, flourless chocolate cake and vanilla brandy creme brulle. Everything here was wonderful�

The food here is a taste experience and the cocktail menu is exceptional. Great service and a very pretty place to eat. My favourite place to eat in the area. Well done!

Food was awesome (as always). It was our first time bringing our 2 children along (ages 11 and 8) and was very impressed with the kids meals. My spouse and I shared the duck wings, he had the striploin and I had the trout. My daughter had the kids steak and my son chose the kids pizza. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service was a bit disappointing. However, this is the first time we've experienced sub-par service. He forgot to bring a wine list and then struggled to find us one when asked, forgot the specials and then struggled to read them from his own notes and even brought us the wrong bill for a different table at the end. At first I chalked it up to him possibly being new, but then he mentioned he'd been working here for about 5 months so that wasn't it. Maybe just having a tough night.

Service was great, Barista made coffee was great. Eggs Benedict were a bit underwhelming...the hollandaise was homemade, but thin and bland. The thick, dry biscuit steals all the flavour of the dish overall. Homefries were crisp and well seasoned.

Went to The Bauer Kitchen last night for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had Becky as our server. The food was excellent and the winter mojito tastes like Christmas, if Christmas had a flavour. :) I made a comment about why we were out and at the end of our meal Becky brought out a piece of delicious cake compleate with candle and on the house. Thank you for the excellent service, Becky! :) we will happily return to the Bauer Kitchen!

Always a great time there. This time I went to a work holiday dinner event. I don't usually eat steak and I ate the whole thing! it was delicious. My only advice is that the steak should have some grilled vegetables with some fries, not the fries alone. I definitely recommend this place for cocktails and dinner ��yumm.

Was my first visit here and I wasn't disappointed. My boyfriends steak was a little over cooked but our server quickly took care of it, she even went as far as taking mine back as well to get me a fresh one so I wouldn't have to eat alone � The food was amazing!

Yesterday I attended the wedding of two very special people at the Bauer Kitchen. The food, service, decor and ambience were absolutely impeccable. I would recommend The Bauer Kitchen in a heartbeat.

No reservation, crowded room, seated us almost immediately, our server was outstanding (male with beard-sorry can't remember name) the cocktails delicious and the food was amazing! We'll be back!

Excellent food...Roger got the pasta bowl with lamb and I had trout...oh and the beet salad and soup of the day were great too! Thanks for bringing Roger some dessert for his birthday. Great service! Atmosphere is nice, but just a little loud. Maybe we're getting old. ;)

I was there in early April for brunch with my family and while the service was fantastic our meal was a little lack lustre. I reviewed our visit on open table and was contacted immediately afterward by the manager Cindy. We returned today for Mother's Day and she went above and beyond with service and food. I love Bauer kitchen and was always planning on continuing to dine there. The kindness and exceptional customer service blew me away. Thank you Cindy and everyone at Bauer Kitchen for a great Mother's Day and dining experience.

My (new) Husband and I had dinner at the Bauer Kitchen last night following our morning wedding. The service we received was amazing. Becky was fantastic and the food was great. The absolute perfect place to celebrate our big day with a romantic dinner for two. Thank you!!!

We live in Bauer Lofts, love the area and especially enjoy The Bauer Kitchen...a great vibe, nice atmosphere, attentive service and oh yeah, the Food is amazing! While we've had 14 for Family events, my wife and I really enjoy sitting at the bar, chatting with the bar crew and management(hi Cindy!) while sipping a good wine and dining casually. This place ticks off all the boxes for us...continually! Thanks.
