Review Kamoosh Bistro - Waterdown

Excellent food, and a wide selection of beers on tap and in cans, as well as an extensive wine list. But the food is the real draw here. We had a party of five, and despite the restaurant being filled to capacity, the service was excellent, and professional. This is not a quick bite out mind you, each dish is made to order with precision, so expect to stay a while and enjoy the intimate atmosphere and of course each other's company. The flavours of each dish, from the starters to the mains were complex and exquisite. They were absolutely worth waiting for. Be sure to call ahead for reservations though, this kind of dining experience is in high demand.

My partner and I went to Kamoosh Bistro to celebrate his birthday yesterday, and we loved absolutely everything about our visit! The food was fresh and incredibly delicious. I had the Koosh pasta and my partner had the Fried Chicken. We each loved our dishes immensely! Our server was wonderful and customer service was great. Our reservation was originally for Thursday but we had to reschedule due to the rain, and Koosh graciously fit us in for Friday evening. We had a lovely evening and we will definitely be back!

Amazing dishes. We were 8 and not one of us had a single bad thing to say about the food, the portions or the service. You will not be disappointed. I had the Duck risotto, perfect!

Wonderful restaurant. Awesome vibe. Great spot for date night. From scratch open concept kitchen with a fantastic menu (ask for vegan options) and superb service. Cocktails are phenomenal. Total gem with a large heated patio during the nicer weather months.

July 2021- So, tonight I returned to Kamoosh and it was such a difference from the last time that I HAD to repost something. We waited 1h and 50 min for our entree. We received our entree 10 minutes before closing. (Mine was awful. I couldn't eat it. Not worth the wait and I LOVE food. Not picky.). It was awkward and uncomfortable to eat in a rush, alone in a restaurant while wait staff clears all the other empty tables. This was my mother's first visit here. I had been singing high praises about this place and then I apologized profusely to my famly the entire ride home because it was so incredibly bad. One of the most disappointing dining experiences that I have EVER had. Staff apologized, but did nothing else to help make the evening less of a wreck. My family discussed this and decided that it now deserves 2 stars, not 5. This place has fallen far and hard. December 2020 review- I heard someone rave about this place so I had to try it. Wow. They were right. It's amazing. Such good food. I am absolutely coming back here. Beside the exquisitely delicious food, everything was clean and they fully followed all covid protocols. I highly recommended for a date night or adult friends/family dinner.

We have eaten here before and not been disappointed. However, this time around a different story. Our reservations were for 6pm and were right on time. Got our appetizer within a reasonable time but didn't get out main until 7:30pm. Owner or manager did not even come around to apologize for the long wait. Extremely disappointing. If this is the norm for this restaurant just so you will order more drinks in the meantime, shame on you Kamoosh. Besides waiting forever for out meal, we were entertained by a table of 5 right behind who must have thought/felt they were at the ball game. The big mouths at the table had no respect for restaurant etiquet and wouldn't shut up until their food came out; kind of hard to be boisterous with food in your mouth. Worst thing about this was that management did zilch to ask them to tone it down in respect of the other guests. Will I eat here again? Not sure. Good food but atmosphere is awful and management's lack of caring for their guests leaves a lot to be desired. If you want a quiet meal and not have wait until the next day for your food, go elsewhere.

Our son and his family treated my husband and I to dinner at Kamoosh last night. The food was excellent and couldn't be any fresher. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere was warm and cosy. It was a wonderful experience!

My husband and I tried Kamoosh for the first time tonight and it was definitely worth the drive to Waterdown! The atmosphere was modern and warm, the staff were very friendly and the food was incredible! Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back soon and can’t wait to try the patio.
