Good value. I can only comment on lunch. The specials are good and there are many to choose from. Friendly servers and for $8, you can hardly go wrong.
Love this passionate Chinese restaurant! Good food with fair price and huge quantities. Friendly servers with very nice smiles and brilliant memory. We went their only twice, and by the third time, the waitress could remember what we had, she could memorized pretty much all the dishes we've had last time. Food came on the table within 10 minutes when there was a full house, plus the phone was ringing and ringing. MeeWah is awesome! A must go Chinese rest in Victoria !
I came from Vancouver too. Checked out two other chinese restaurants until I found this gem. The first was over-priced (name starts with J) the other was a mom and pops which was okay. But this place is great and you get the good size portions. For ~$8, the price to size ratio is reasonable compared to J&J as well as quality. It reminds me of some of the good restaurants in Vancouver/Richmond/New West. Thanks Mee Wah for not getting into the Island price trap!
Delicious Food w/ Reasonable Price. I moved from vancouver about a year ago, meewah is the only one that i considered a good restaurant with delicious food and bottom price.I go there with my friends or family at least twice a week. my fav dish there was their honey garlic ribs, deep fried chicken wings, braise 4 vegs BBQ Duck and beef lettuce wrap.They now have the lunch special on for $6.50 of 20 options. AND dinner special for $9.50 with 18 options that serve with soup...seriously, if you don't want to spend too much but want it a good meal, I strongly recommended Mee Wah

It depends as it can be a bit inconsistent, but nothing poor. I won't mark them down for this. It varies really, and the food is what I am writing about. :)
O.M.G! Where to start. We are vegetarian, and it is always a challenge to find vegetarian in Asian foods; however, this is where we go now.
We had the Szechuan Tofu. WOW. Delish!
Their veggie fried rice... here we go. These people know how to do it. The pees were perfect, rice was rich and plentiful and pack of flavour. A good oil was used.
The Pineapple Chop Suey is another great!
Their veggie Chow Mein good be a bit better, as I am sure it might be better with meat for you meat eaters, so don't take my full word for it. I'm always willing to give.
Prices for the dining is justifiable. Try some of the Chinese beers they have. Lighter ones, but flavourful.
This place is nice. Just make sure you know the prices ahead of time as it can vary on the dish. Check their online menu to see.
First off there isn't very many good Chinese restaurants in Victoria, mee wah is one of the best, for quality and price mee wah has the best bang for your buck. All menu items have no added msg, clean and has good service my family and I go to mee wah atleast 1 a month when we don't want to spend alot of money, San pan is better but mee wah is good when you don't want to spend a 100$ I rate mee wah 7.5 out of 10, ps try there duck lettuce wrap Mmmmmmmmm!!
First class chinese restaurant. 14 lunch time special combos, on English menu, superb cooking for $6.50 each, and 12 daily specials on the Chinese menu. Plus all the set dishes Man could want.
Just great fare. This is a Chinese restaurant..... No hamburger and fries! The clientele is about 50% Chinese... A good sign that the food is appreciated by those who know.
Mee Wah is Our Take Out Place. We really enjoy thetake out food from this restaurant. We have never had a problem with mixed up orders and delivery is on time. We love the decadent crispy wings.My only quibble is that I used to love the eggplant hot pot but there must be two different cooks making it now because some nights it's perfect, other nights it's full of red peppers and is overspiced, slightlysweet and lacking in eggplants.
As "North American style Chinese places" go this one is fine! If you want gourmet Chinese this is likely not for you.
Just completed dinner. Mee Wah has renovated and the new chef is great. Been here many times but this time was so good. Every order from soup to squid was excellent...better than so many others in Victoria. Service was exceptional. Will be back.
Deep fried prawns have the best batter I've had...so light and crispy and not greasy! We've really enjoyed the food we've ordered the last couple times from Mee Wah...very consistent! Will definitely order from them again!

Chinese food on the outskirts of Oak Bay!! Its yummy and at a good price.
The only thing i didn't like was the fortune in my fortune cookie. It was completely inaccurate. I did not meet the love of my life on my way home from work as was stated on the fortune cookie. Also the suggested lottery numbers were not at all even close to the winning numbers. So I'm a little upset about losing the purchase price of the lottery ticket.

Fortune cookie = Not good / It lied to me!!
Delicious food, and friendly service. Not a fancy place, but the few times I've been there, definitely consistent. Good specials. New chef, I understand, but I didn't know it before.

This place is always pretty quiet, I think most their service is take-out or delivery. The staff are super friendly, and the food is good.
