Excellent dinner tonight, including chicken biryani, lamb rogan ghosh, and aloo gobi with lots of naan bread and some de-alcoholized beers. Everything was on the pricey side, but we were there for First Table, so our food was half price. However, our beers were $7 each, which knocked a star off our review. Nice setting with cool decor. Attractive dishes and glassware. Helpful waitress wearing a mask. Good distancing of tables. We agreed we'd go back.

The food was good, and had some unique indian options such as the coconut and onion naans, and gobi garlic which is deep fried garlic flavoured cauliflower. lots of good choices for vegetarians, and for vegetarians who don’t eat egg. as a eggless vegetarian myself, I found the food variety to be wide. I am not giving this five stars however because the service wasn’t very good during the day, there were less employees and also the music was extremely loud, as we were sitting next to a speaker. I do understand there were less employees because of covid-19, however nothing excuses bad service. food was excellent though, had authentic tastes that you would find in Delhi.

Excellent food, we've always got delivery and it's been great! Looks like some of the negative reviews are from those who have never been to an Indian restaurant before as they're similar service as Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants where the service appears to 'suck' but really you just need to ask and the staff are usually pleased to assist. Hopefully this restaurant can get some more stars as they deserve it.

Amazing Restaurant And Delicious ordered two garlic bread and one chicken tikka. The order was at time and absolutely delicious. I loved the food and the staff there was welcoming and gratifying . The food was really good beyond my expectation and i loved it . I would surely visit here often with my friends and family . The food was super authentic . Also the place has awesome ambience and helped me get pretty pictures for my gram . LOVED IT❤ous Food .....

Terrific authentic Indian food...I'm from the UK and have struggled to find similar amazing food as I've tasted there. The service is amazing, the place is spotlessly clean, the decor and setting is wonderful and you get great bang for your buck. Hands down best indian food I've tasted in Victoria...These folk opened a week before the pandemic hit so they're definitely the place to go for great food and ambience 😁😁

In a short while, I guess I have ordered more than 10 times from Taj as I and my friends absolutely love their food! Most important factor is their authenticity with regards to the different curry/gravy items and the tandoori starters are superb, the best I have tasted in Victoria till date, and I have been here for a while now. Summarizing it, great food, humble owners who cater to special requests and value for money!

Absolutely amazing! There is not one bad thing you can say about this local family owned restaurant. They have set the standard for Indian Dining very high. I have been here multiple times and food never disappoints. The atmosphere is exactly what you expect from a high end 5 star restaurant. No matter what you order from the menu you will not be disappointed.

Many Indian restaurants in Victoria claim to be the best in the city, but it's not that easy. The food that comes out of the kitchen at Taj: Taste of India, is fantastic. You can tell it's made with love and authenticity, and every time we order from there the food tastes fresh, clean and expertly prepared. That's the difference. We've tried almost every place in town and been disappointed many times. This is the best Indian food in Victoria by a long way, highly recommended!!

Food was excellent. Ordered everything with a medium spice and it was just enough to have a kick and still taste all of the flavour. For pick-up orders, I would suggest calling in and using the main menu to order off of as the online version would not load up with all available items. Prices were fair for the portions served. We will definitely be patronizing this excellent restaurant again.

Excellent food! Ordered the veggie samosas to start, Lamb Vindaloo Curry, Goat Curry and Garlic Naan. All were delicious! Our server was really knowledgeable of the menu and helpful when ordering and letting us know about heat levels and size of portions. If you think you can handle spice- be warned- the heat level is high! Tasty but spicy :)
