Always great service and the food is excellent. Genuine Old English style fish and chips with perfect batter and flavour. I wouldn’t go anywhere else as this is the spot for the best!
Great food Amazing service!, portable menu at front desk, easy to read for anyone short sighted (mild to severe,) fair prices and a discount loyaty system. If your thinking of a fish n chip place to try Brady's Fish & chip is the place to be.
If you’re from Southern Ontario and you want the old English style fish and chips than go here. It’s better than anything I’ve had back home. They fillet their own Halibut and the stuff is fresh. I can’t even tell you how great it is.
You won’t be dissatisfied or disappointed.
The best fish and chips I've yet to find a better place in town!!!
I treated my 5 year old to some chips today and he loved them! He's been talking about you all night and keeps asking if we can go again!
This place has the best fish and chips and so much more
I had an amazing lunch at Brady's Fish & Chips with Family & Friends. The service was above & beyond!!!
Yummy yummy yummy yuumm best food in the world.. :))))
Tasty food....its been at least 2 years since I've eaten there...coming home for a visit soon...looking forward to the halibut!
Amazing! Stopped in not expecting much and loved it!!! Will def. come back!!! Great food and great prices!!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The fish and chips are consistently good - not greasy like many places. My only complaint is the the tables & menus need a really good cleaning - everything is kind of "coated".
I love Brady's because they have authentic fish and chips like I used to have back home in England. Is it the prettiest? The heathiest? The best quality? No. But neither is authentic fish and chips in the UK! And that's why it's great. The batter is perfect. The chips are perfect, and the fact they wrap it up in paper and put a little chip on top to eat on your way home is super cute. Lovely family run business too!
Really good always. Prices have climbed significantly and when I tip on a pick up order usually like 5-10% I've never once gotten a thank you. I mean seriously it's a pick up order, what do they expect? 20% or something? Jeez.
For takeout. My favorite place to get fish n chips, but for takeout only! I've eaten in there before and the place just looks dirty. I felt dirty eating in there. It doesn't stop me from taking out though!
No frills neighborhood fish and chip joint. Fresh, cheap, and delicious. No complaints!
I live close to this place, I consider myself lucky. Affordable, delicious and fresh. You can't go wrong with simple. The batter is light and crispy because of their layer method. Coleslaw is thin cut and fantastic. The chips are phenomenal! Perfect crispness and you get tons in an order. My only suggestion would be in house made tartar, but that won't stop me from going back!
Awsome!!! Fresh, Fresh, Fresh!!!! Quick service. Served "screaming" hot!!! Coleslaw served in a ramkin, to keep it from being Hot
Tied for my favorite fish and chips in town with Red Fish Blue Fish. Certainly better than the two places at Fisherman's Wharf and elsewhere in Victoria.
Place is run by friendly Aussie gentleman and his wife.
I got a piece of cod and a small fries and the portion was quite generous (pictured). Decor has something to be desired, but that doesn't detract from the quality of the food.
Would recommend a visit if you're in the area. It's in my neighborhood, so I'll be back.
This was probably the best poutine I’ve ever ever had in my life. I figured I would try poutine first to see what this place is like and I will definitely go back for fish and chips now!
I came in because it was on my route and didn’t expect much. But I gambled on the oyster burger and was actually really impressed. Super crispy and flavourful batter, very fresh, and even came with a bonus oyster! The bun wasn’t great, but otherwise a really nice burger. Staff was nice too. I’m definitely going to come back and try their other fish.
Probably best to go with take out rather than dine in here though. The dining area was messy and had a bit of an off smell.
Great spot! The battered cod was amazing. So very soft and tasty. The chips were quite good as well but I’d recommend not putting vinegar on them. They give you the option of adding salt and vinegar but the chips lose their crisp and become a little softer. Still tasty nonetheless. If you’re looking for a cool fish n chips spot this is a pretty sweet one to try out.
I'm going to echo other reviews who have advised that the battered fish isn't crispy throughout/cooked though because of too much batter. The chips were fine.
I love fish and chips and I know it is a big draw in this city. There are lots of great choices and I have eaten most. This is the best, I have been going here for 12 years now and I have never been disappointed.
This was the best fish and chips I have ever had. I wish I would have discovered this little place when I first arrived. I would have eaten there all week. Salmon bites are amazing!!! Will definitely visit them on my next trip to Victoria. Until next time. Thank you for the great food. Renee from Ottawa!
Brady's is a very homestyle, cute little fish and chips place and the meal was excellent. I had seafood chowder and some fish and chips as well. For the price, the food was really good and you could taste how fresh the seafood was. The staff was friendly however the service was a little slow as it wasn't that crowded and fried foods typically shouldn' t take too long. Altogether though, I would definitely recommends this establishment if you have a hankering for fish and chips.
Perfect amount of batter and crispness of the fish - best we’ve had in awhile and reminds me of the fish ‘n chips I used to get in the UK. Glad we took the halibut option. Was actually so good that I didn’t even use my tartar sauce.
Met the owners Sharon & Darren (Shazza & Dazza) too - very nice, hard working people.
Will definitely stop in here again the next time we’re in Victoria!
Went for take out today! Excellent friendly service…Huge hot crispy piece of cod and yummy fries. Great prices and big portions! Highly recommend! So glad I finally tried it…YUM
I had the halibut burger it was amazing, will definitely have to come back to try some more of the menu
I’m giving them a 5 star, because it’s most likely my mistake. I had the salmon burger. I’ve had salmon burgers in Victoria many places. It’s salmon grilled. This one was a salmon patty. I should have asked how the salmon was presented. This was Not any different than what I buy from Costco in frozen bulk. My friends had fantastic clams oysters and fish n chips. No disappointment. Don’t get the salmon burger if you love love salmon burgers. 3 meals with pop and tip. Over $80
Great family run business. Very friendly staff. Best fish and chips in town! Tradition wrapping. They have the best Tartar sauce! Service was quick.
I was born & raised here in Victoria and frequented this gem, often. Now having moved off the island 15 years ago, I come back for a visit every now and then. This time I was craving good island fish and chips. I immediately looked up Bradys hoping it was still open & survived Covid. I was happy to see its still here. We had a group of 8 dine in & we ordered almost everything. The halibut, cod, chips, burgers, chicken fingers, oysters, prawns, popcorn shrimp, Jalapeño poppers, Coleslaw. It was all amazing. I'm not a huge batter lover but love the taste of fried fish. Fish was all well cooked, as was everything else. Staff was very curtious & tended to a crowd easily while managing the take out section also. Highly recommend this local gem.
