If you are looking for a place for great breakfast/lunch with reasonable prices, give this place a try. First time coming, and I felt pretty impressed. The owner lady was pretty friendly and straight to the point, and within 7 minutes the food was on my table. I ordered Hot Roast Beef Sandwich and was surprised that someone would put gravy on a sandwich, but it was delicious. This place seems to offer a wide selection of food, Canadian and Chinese (Canto). Will definitely come again when I am around.

Lovely down-to-earth diner frequented by workers around the rock bay area. Ran by a very hard working couple. Ginger beef is an ample portion and I liked the celery garnish. Will try calling in next time to pre order for lunch which nigjt be faster.

Love Love Love this place. Food is amazing and so are the owners. Best place to grab lunch and you can pre order via a phone call for pickup. Bring cash, there is no credit cards accepted here. Menu is reminiscent of old style soda shops and the comfort food is bang on.

This is my favourite breakfast place in the city. it’s not extravagant- but it’s perfect. their breakfast is exactly what you want it to be- cheap, filling, and so good. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, the prices are great. I cannot recommend enough.

The Red Kettle serves a mix of classic diner and Chinese food at very reasonable prices. The decor and food are not fancy at all, but you get a tasty, quick meal at a really good price. I’ve eaten here about once a week for a few years, and it’s always been tasty with consistently good quality. The burgers have really good, freshly made patties, the Chinese lunch specials are great, and the sandwiches are yummy. It’s also run by a very nice couple who I’m happy to give my business to.
And side note: I happened to be there when a heath inspector came by once, and she seemed really happy with the kitchen.

Very friendly couple run this restaurant. Nothing fancy, but good food at a good price. We took our grand-daughter there, she enjoyed her hot chocolate and banana-chocolate muffin. We go there from time to time for an in-expensive brunch.

This is one of those old fashioned diner places I remember from my childhood. It isn't fancy or trendy, just good food served in a plainly decorated place. It has all day (well, 7am to 2 pm) breakfast, but I had a perfectly prepared mushroom burger with fries. There's a small selection of Chinese food - the plate I saw looked quite good.
Went back again for breakfast and quite enjoyed my omelette.

I work in the office building above it and eat here almost every day. They have a breakfast special for $5.25 that offers 1 egg your way, bacon or sausages, pan-fried potatoes (delicious) and 2 pieces of toast. I've also had their burgers and fries, and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend them: I love the service and the food. They're quick which is important for lunch breaks, and friendly, helpful staff. I would go here on my days off, too!
