Pretty good Canadian Style Chinese food. We ordered the Cantonese style chicken chow mien, S&S Pork, BBQ Fried rice and New Village chop suey. Yes, it’s processed chicken on top of the chow mien but not unlike any other Canadian Chinese food you’d get anywhere else. Over all the flavours are good and you get 10% off if you pick up and pay cash. The pick up area, and entire restaurant for that matter, could use some paint and a refresh. I would recommend for take out Chinese food.

Prompt service. Dated interior but that's okay. All food items were very good except for the fried rice. Very good value for the money. The dinner for four can comfortably feed 5 people or make for several lunches. I missed having the 4 spring rolls that other places usually include with the dinner for four special.

I live in the area. Love their Chinese food but had never had their fish and chips. It was DELICIOUS! AND a great price!

The food is always hot and fresh. Their breaded almond chicken is one of the best in town. Great value for the money

New Village is a great place to get take out, I gave it a 1 for atmosphere as this is purely a take out place, it's barely a hole in the wall. The food is delicious, the price is alright. ⚠️THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH ⚠️

We have ordered from New Village for many years and the quality is still there. Less ginger than in the past but they are fast, efficient and the price is right. They will also do half portions which is great! Some of the best won ton soup in town most definitely and good honey garlic wings. We have also tried the deep fried fish and it is fine.

First, they are cash only and take out and delivery only. Often the food at Chinese restaurant is indistinguishable from another; that's not the case here, their food has its own character. It's tasty, the portions are a good size and they don't scrimp on meat as often happens with Chinese restaurants. Good prices, too. Unless you like grease keep away from the fish and chips.

Wow, was having the worst day and didn't want to venture out too far. Checked this place out and was blown away. I was very indecisive when I went in and the lady helped me but put together a special combo/price for me. THEN as I was leaving, my bill came to $20.30, I present 2x$20 bills and she takes one and says 'nobody likes change'!! Can't tell you how much this made my night better and coming from a guy who had worked as manager/bartender for 13 years in three different countries, I can assure you I have had my share of experiences. I ensured her that I will be back (and I will) because the food was amazing!! Especially the custom made mushroom/gravy they made me for my Almond Chicken! It seemed like a slow night but even if you expierience a bit of what I did, it is well worth the trip. I've only lived here for 9 and a half years but this is definitely the best place for Chinese in Victoria in my opinion. This is my first internet review ever!! Thank you

This the best delivery/takeout in victoria for chinese food, their prices are low while portions are very large. This is not a dine in type place, and its pretty much a kitchen I assume thats how they keep their prices so low. Free delivery, and my fav is the hong knog special chow mien (comes with all types of toppings) enough for 2, for $11.60 after taxes!
