I eat here a couple of times a week on average. Sol Food always has something yummy on the daily menu. And if you don't see something you like, they have their regular soups and salads, which are very tasty.
Well let me tell you about Sol Food. Perfect food. Fresh everything. Healthy. The key to success is quality first, which is why it's successful. I know where it is. You have to find it. Once you do, you won't tell anyone either. That's all I can say. Except that they're not open for dinner, but do cater.
Best in the area for lunch. I eat out 2-4 times per week in this area. There are some good restaurants, but Sol is my favourite. I have never had a meal that wasn't very good to excellent, in about 30 visits. But the best part about Sol is, the owner (who is contsantly running around serving customers) is genuine and friendly. Not that phony, forced friendliness that you get everywhere - but really natural and normal. She takes a minute to make real human contact. This makes a big difference to me. I also like the fact that there is plenty of seating, a nice cheery decor and big windows to watch the world go by. two thumbs up.
I am a bit confused by people who complain it's expensive. It's pretty average price wise, with lots of stuff around $10.
Delicious !. I have been visiting Sol Foods for lunch for a while now, and I really enjoy the menu. The price is par for the tasty food and portions. I would and DO recommend Sol Foods. A great place for breakfast, lunch, coffee and dessert.
Not cheap, but worth trying. I went in and asked for something delicious. I was not disappointed. I ended up with a delicious healthy wrap. I will be returning.

Great Lunch Spot. I was in the area with with a team of people for work. We ate here almost everyday for lunch and a breakfast. The food is consisently fresh and tasty.
The service is top notch for a business park type cafe. Granted, I am comparing them to the business park cafe's i am familar with on the mainland which are usually horrible in terms of food and service, but overall really friendly staff that are quick to clear your table when you are finished eating.
The pricing is fair for the food you get. I would reccomend the sol roll it is delicious (~$8) !! The chicken burger with chipotle mayo is also very good with some really nice melted buttery cheese, although a better bun would really take it to the next level. The sandwiches are average but not bad for ~$6. The baked goods look really good in the display case and I noticed some good turnover in the desserts so you know they are pretty fresh. The only dessert we tried was a berry-cream cheese-crumble type bar. Everyone agreed that it was exceptional!
My only points for improvement would be: They need better buns for their hamburger/breakfast sandwiches and better salad dressing (I believe they use Kraft dressings, tasted like Kraft atleast).
If I worked in the neighbourhood .... ... I would get soooo fat eating at Sol Food. Excellent breakfast burritos, scones, muffins, cinnamon buns, pannini, soups and more, and a spacious and comfortable seating area in which to consume them all. Highly recommended for a workday or take-away lunch.
First time visitor and really satisfied! So many options and I was happy with my local homemade burger (and I’m picky about my burgers). The cinnamon bun was also delish. Can’t wait to go back, probably before noon to beat the huge rush.
Cute deli-style restaurant with lots of options for a quick work lunch, including a daily feature. Great selection of desserts too, and super nice counter staff. Beautiful outdoor seating area covered in a plant canopy. Loses one star for inconsistency of stuff cooked behind the grill doors, like french fries.

I was tasked with organizing a company function whereas catering was required for approx. 50 people. I reached out to Sol Food Cafe to inquire about catering and the staff were amazing, provided clear details, provided great pricing and were available within a week's notice. The team arrived on time, set up everything outside (looked beautiful) and came back on time to take all the dishes away. The food was amazing, tasty, the salads delish and the vegan focaccia bread was loved by every one that there was none left! I would definitely use them again!
The food here is exceptional. A great variety of dietary options (including vegan, dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian and good ol' carnivores). Nice variety of desserts, sides and daily menu updates. The service is fast and friendly too. Highly recommend if you're in the area looking for a high quality, family run business who cares about quality at affordable prices. They put effort into zero waste and environmentally friendly options like 'bring your own container'.
Can’t stress how good this place is.
Seemingly a hidden Gem lurking in the little Gorge waterway area. I was there for brunch on Saturday and the Benny and Chicken a waffles was amazing. The service was 5* from start to finish. The Chef (Mike) came out to greet us, and tell us a bit about the place, the menu, and where the food was sourced which made the whole experience even better. 100% recommend and will return. Do yourself a favor and visit Mike at Sol 👍🏻
I would have to say this is one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in and I’ve traveled all over…the lovely owner is fantastic and the food is out of this world! What really gets me is the incredible salads and their specials but I’ll tell you they’re salads are delicious. Clubhouse is out of this world and I had a chicken burrito too and it was so good… Definitely go and visit this remarkable restaurant and if you need any catering, would use this in a heart beat!!!!! I wish I could give her a 10 out of 10 on this score and the people she has working there are so friendly just like her! Everything is made fre!!! Amazing!!!!!. You can tell the difference as soon as you walk thru the door. Great prices too!!!!
Lovely staff who I personally noticed treating each and every table of guests with the same friendliness throughout. Had the Eggs Benedict and tried the Fried Chicken and Waffles, both were excellent. Will definitely be coming back.
I would say go and have l lunch there. There is always something new in the menu. They literally have the best brownies in the world.
I enjoyed very much going here ! Lots of tasty treats, ample seating. I'll have to come back soon for sure 🙂

Fantastic food, people, and vibe! Especially the new chicken burger on the grill menu. It slaps. Got it with half fries and half a quinoa salad thing and it made my day. I'll definitely be going back when I'm in town!
I was at Sol cafe from 10-4pm on a weekday. The staff were really nice to accommodate my request for the day at a corner table with a view. Their food and drink options are plenty and tasty.

Breakfast buns with cheese egg and others are really good, but I had the samosa which was heated in a microwave which made it soggy instead of crunchy.
Highly recommend it. The food was really good and the place has a beautiful atmosphere.
What a lovely surprise! In the area for a chiro appointment and stopped to grab a coffee. They have way more than coffee! We will be back soon to pick up a prepared meal from their freezer and/or other fresh baked goodies.
I've been eating at Sol Food for nine years now and thought it's finally time to share my thoughts on this place! I love their food - their featured entrees of the day are always so flavourful but better than a typical restaurant because they're healthy, home-cooked-style meals. Their chef is amazing and always comes up with fantastic dishes that are worthy of five stars. The soups are also of the same quality, and they have a large selection of salads to choose from. I also appreciate the staff - very friendly, and even if there's a line-up you don't wait long at all.
