Great local restaurant. Staff were great despite the language barrier. Sad to see the place closing on January 28. The staff mentioned something about the possibility about opening up in another location. Stay tuned for updates. Fish and chips were great.
Owners are super friendly and welcoming. Fish is solid. Chips are bang on. Now I'm super curious how delicious their Chinese food is. Two full halibuts means it needs a bit more tartar sauce. 😋

Wonderful customer service, Can’t really say much about the food as i only got small fries but i throughly enjoyed my fries. They were crunchy and perfectly salty.

perfect fish and chips. I ordered a combo for 2. It is more than enough for two people. it comes with tartar sauce and coleslaw. the staff is also really nice.
Ordered the combo for two, lots of food, my girlfriend and I couldn’t finish it. The environment is nice, so does the staff. The food is ok.
You can stand in line outside with a bunch of tourists at the famous fish and chips place or you can go to the cheaper, local spot. The owner is super nice and excitedly told me that they had halibut back in stock so I got one piece plus fries for $14. It was super yummy and the fries were perfect.

We ordered the dinner for 4 fish and chips. We were not disappointed! The fish was moist and flakey. The batter was light and a nice crunch, as were the prawns.

Best fish and chips I’ve had yet, in Victoria! Great portion size of fish, tartar sauce was delicious and fries too. I would say this is comparable, if not better than, Red Fish Blue Fish - without the crazy lineups. 🙂
Our family loved the great fish and chips meal. Hutton whiskey sign caught our eye. The Hutton family!we didn't take pictures inside. We were at butchart gardens and city hall.
Can't say enough how wonderful the owners are. Of course good food is why you want to eat out but the service has to be equally as good. Here at Old Vic fish and chips the service is awesome. The owner is so wonderful she makes it feel like your visiting their home. Her husband has trained overs
Sensational fish and chips. Honestly I found the experience of eating this truly blissful. I love fish and chips and I have eaten a lot of it over the years and I thought the cod and chips was amazing. Great, speedy, friendly, service. Great location as well. Just all round great!
Some of the best fish and chips I've had since moving back from England. The batter was perfect, the wings succulent, the fish juicy and scrumptious, prawns and spring rolls fantastic and the fries oh the fries!!!! Lovely people there as well
