Arrived and had no wait. The restaurant is big and there’s many tables which makes for less likely chances of waiting to be seated.Was escorted to our table and offered hot tea and water right away.

Food was AMAZING. I got the beef teriyaki, which was incredibly flavorful and generous in portions. Come hungry, you’re going to want to leave every plate clean! Seat
Azuma sushi is a long time favourite! Wonderful food! Extremely well priced, always hot and fresh, and quickly brought to the table. The staff are amazing always so friendly and cheerful! And they have a fish tank! If you’re in the downtown area be sure to give them some love! 💗

Very reliable sushi restaurant. Excellent range of menu choices. Good price. It's the kind of place one needs to support with patronage. Also, there's an amazing capacity, so would likely accomodate bigger functions.

Deleted and rewrote this twice already. Running a restaurant pre COVID was already rough, but now with insane overhead, a greatly diminished labor pool etc, many places are still recovering. Been coming here for 15 years, Never disappoints. Fish is always fresh and beautifully presented. The daily bento box deal is my favourite lunch/dinner deal around town. I highly, highly recommend the ginger pork bento with a miso soup. Large portions and so very tasty. Perfectly balanced as well.
The pricing was super cheap form japanese food and the staff we're pretty nice. The whole place was pretty quiet on a Saturday early evening which I thought was strange but all good. In all good affordable Japanese food.
Although this place was one a not so nice locations it came back even greater going there was a beautiful experience. The waitress was one of the nicest person's on earth and the food couldn't get any better .
Best sushi in all of Victoria! I've been here countless times and Azuma has never seemed to disappoint! The staff is very friendly and the food tastes great! I recommend the Hamachi Sashimi, Ramen, Agedashi Tofu and Clam Miso Soup!
An institution! I grew up here and come to town often. We always find time to go to Azuma for the amazing rice and sauce you can't get anywhere else 🤤 I hope you have a great time when you visit!
