The food here was really good! Service was fast and friendly. The ginger beef is very different from anywhere else I’ve had and it was delicious! All the dishes we had here were really tasty. I’ll be coming back for sure to try other dishes.

BEST wonton soup I ever had! wish every restaurant put the time and love into their broth that these guys do. excellent service, and everything I try has been amazing. and I love that I can take my son there, and he can get a burger. seems random, but they do a mean one!!

Simply the best place in Victoria for a incredibly delicious, well-priced chinese combos. The food is cooked with love and each bite is mouth-watering. Lots of options and dishes. Service is prompt and friendly, an excellent family run business!

My co-worker and I are from Vancouver, working in Victoria for the week. Found this gem online and headed over. Greeted at the door in such a friendly manner we felt right at home. The ginger beef is delicious and comes with peppers etc mixed in. Also had the Wonton soup which was piping hot and heavy on wontons. Highly recommend!

My husband recommended as he tried it with his work buddies and it was quick and really hot, they missed our spring rolls and offered to drive them to us, the food was delicious, quick and very tasty we will definately be back. And amazing costumer service.

I was amazed at how fast they were to deliver my order. The food was piping hot, delicious and not greasy. I would highly recommend them and I will definitely be making this the place to go for excellent tasting Chinese Food.

Only been here once but i can say i enjoyed the food. Ordered 3 dishes and they were decent portions and not overly greasy like most other Chinese restaurants. Will try again for sure.

Best ginger beef in town, hands down. The sesame chicken, black bean chicken and curry is fantastic. the only "weak" item i can recall here is the spring rolls, they are ok but nothing great. I have been eating here for 17 years and its always good! Eat the ginger beef!!

Amazing service, I've been placing orders for pick for 5 years now, biggest and best pan fried dumplings in town, the hotpots are amazing, the shanghai noodles, and most of all Dinner B is always spot on. Best pork in town.

I'm a big fan of this place. Their customer service is great. I managed to order the wrong thing from them, and when I called them because I thought they made a mistake, the guy on the phone told me what I meant to order, then insisted on delivering it (Within 10 minutes!) at no charge. Didn't want the wrongly ordered dish back, wouldn't accept a tip. On top of that, their food is some of the best Chinese food I've found in this city. Love it.

Food wasn't so good. It was just OK. Not many people. It is located in a very awkward location so easy to pass by. Didn't like the fact that the cooks started eating in the dining area with guests in restaurant. Giving high points ONLY because our server (he was either Hispanic or Native) really nice!

Favorite place for basic Chinese. This place is my favorite. It has some of the best, definitely the best for the price, that I've had in Victoria. <br/>I'll admit delivery has its hiccups, but we adapted, we just drive, pick it up and get 10% off now, which ends up being the tip. <br/>Go pick it up or eat there. Then you won't be disappointed.

Worst delivery ever!. Took over 2 hours for order to arrive and they lied about the delivery driver driving twice. No napkins or chopsticks in bag too. Food came luke warm and was mediocre. Would not recommend will not buy again.

I got delivery from here the other day and it was great! Friendly service over the phone and in person. The food arrived in the time they quoted and it was hot! Food is definitely above average compared to other places ive tried. Found my new go to!

Worst Delivery Service Ever. Ordered at 7:30pm and still haven't received food (it's 9:30pm now). Called to ask if it was coming and the driver still hadn't left the restaurant. Something to do with only one debit machine? Not sure why. Do not recommend delivery. Also just to add.. we are only 4km away from the restaurant.......

Good solid food. The BBQ pork chow mein and chicken and broccoli were good. The beef, mushrooms and bamboo shoots was a bit light on the mushrooms. The white and red were reasonable. The Tsingtao beer was good and cold.

Fall from grace... Used to be a slam dunk 10/10 from me, but recently it has declined in quality. This is strange, as according to their staff they haven't had any major changes. Last time I went the carrots in every dish were undercooked, near raw, among other problems.

Terrible. Way up there in t.... Terrible.<br/>Way up there in the worst Chinese food i have ever had. Did take out for Dinner for 2. Chop suey and sweet n sour pork (for lack of a better word) sucked. the pork had massive chunks of fat (some like this, I couldn't eat it). The chow mein was a sordid disappointment; no flavor or substance. The regular fried rice was basically steamed rice with maybe a bit of synthetic chicken flavor (and I mean just a bit, again, flavorless like the chow mein); can not be called fried, or even Chinese-style for that matter! So frustrated, NOT worth $19.99+HST. First and last visit.

Ordered Beef and Vegetables. I guess that could have been beef and vegetables. Absolutely tasteless. Ordered egg rolls. Not bad, except they were spring rolls not egg rolls. Fast hot delivery of the alleged chinese food, but they won't need my address anymore.

Good Cheap Takeout. Compared to many other places in Victoria, Dragon Gate is a great establishment for that week night when you just don't feel like making dinner. The food is always hot when it arrives at your door and the portions are generous (Get the dinner for 2 + ginger beef and you will have left overs for the next day!). As others have said it is definitely not authentic chinese but I am always pleased with the amount of veggies you get and the price you pay.

I don't know about 92%, but. . .. I like this place. It's not the best in town, and the food is decidedly not authentic Chinese, but who cares? They do good, quick takeout and delivery and can do a few things well. I realize I'm lowering my cred here, but their breaded almond chicken tastes awesome and the dumplings are juicy and delicious. Their greens-and-protein dishes are great, too. If you're close by and it looks good, try it! The prices aren't bad for the portions.

Well, at least the service was good. I would prefer good food though. Don't waste your time and or money. Worst food I have ever ordered from anywhere. The egg roll seemed like it was made from white bread soaked in oil, the fried rice was boiled rice with sauce added, I have no idea what the thing that was supposed to be a chicken ball was. The only thing that was good was the broccoli. The server was very nice to deal with.

Pleasant American-Chinese Food. If you are looking for traditional Chinese food, then this probably isn't the place but it is still yummy. The sweet and sour pork isn't the best, but everything else is good. The chicken is yummy. <br/><br/>The restaurant is very clean and the service is very friendly. The prices range from between $8-$15 and you can get a combo for around $10 or less.

Best Chinese... ever. I could go on for pages about Dragon Gate but it really comes down to this: I'm not from Victoria, but sometimes I find myself looking forward to visiting my grandparents not just to see them but also so I can be within walking distance of Dragon Gate

Excellent!!. We've ordered for Dragon Gate once and it was amazing!! It was so hot when it was delivered that I actually had to let it cool down. The sweet and sour pork is actually looks like pork. Probably the best Chinese Delivery I've ever had.
