I love the soup and sandwich lunch combo. Since Timmies no longer does that, Tooks is now my go to for a bowl of soup and sandwich. 4/5 a very good place for lunch.

Amazing customer service, great food, great atmosphere. Also- I recommend to anyone looking, great spot for a happy hour beer/cider, served ice cold for 3$. From 2-5 PM I believe!

A gem!. This place is great, unassuming cafe/deli that does it all. Shame that they are developing the building and its future, at least as "Tooks on Cook", may be in peril! Great sandwiches, baked goods, bagels, etc, and friendly service. Highly recommended!

Comfort. This is my lunch haven - there is a different pair of lacto-vegetarian and vegan soups every day, always delicious as are the sandwiches (ask for banana peppers), the staff are friendly and personable, the place clean and simple, the other diners varied and respectful. It's a classic deli-diner-coffee-shop with some well-preserved century-old decor, and I can go in knowing I'll feel nourished and good afterward. Worth the walk from downtown.

Oh my gawd, you gotta get the reuben. The reuben sanga that this place serves up is fit for a king. The staff is excellent, friendly and attentive. cookies also good, which is important. But you gotta try this reuben! Add tomato and get some extra pickles on the side. Wowza

It's all about the taste. Tooks is a great spot for yummy food. The soups are wonderful, the baked goods are delicious, and there is a great range of choices. The inside isn't glam but that's part of its charm - you're not sidling between cramped tables to get to and from a seat. Do not overlook Took's when you're on Cook!

Great sandwiches made to order, homemade soups and baked goods. Affordable and now with their new coffee machine a latte better than Bubby Rose and half the price! lots of room and no pressure to eat fast. Butter tarts to die for too.

Small dining area, poorly laid out. This is a catering/take-out kind of place. The hot food is out of the 'nuke-box'. BUT the food is also pretty tasty and the service is (mostly) friendly - I wish this was true of the managent - always an interesting dessert to try.

Unpleasant Exprience. I really do not approve of this cafe, the food is alright, the staff is satisfactory, but everything is too rushed and i never felt welcomed. My food was mediocre. I think management was also terrible. The place is in need of a lot of work!

The environment within the structure was cordial. Other humans sat around us, and for once I didn’t mind. Perhaps it was the chemical effect of the BLT in my system, coupled with the sounds of strange human music– Oracle identified it as a musical ensemble from an era since past who named themselves after the Coleoptera family of Earth insects. The lyrics in the song spoke of a pale-colored marine submersible that the ensemble apparently resided in. It was all very soothing.
