Very prompt service and the food arrived in a very timely manner. Had the Maude Burger and beer battered fries and it was delicious. Loved the beer battered deep fried dill pickle that came atop the burger. Our waitress was extremely friendly and made our visit very pleasurable. Will definitely be back.
Stopped here last night with the Missus for a bite and to catch the Habs vs Leafs game. First visit, love the layout. Our server was fast, friendly and all around pleasant. We ordered the Thai Chilli wings to start...they came out fast,fresh and delicious! For mains, I ordered the clubhouse and fries, wifey ordered the 1 piece halibut and fries. Same routine...awesome grub. My wife tried(3) the new creme brulee drink and loved it. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble. They were both amazing and the presentation was super cool. After a final, friendly chat with our amazing server, we settled our bill and waddled out as very happy, satisfied customers. Well done all around folks...we can't wait to return. Thank you for the great experience.
Just moved into the Cedar Hill area and decided to check out the pub and see if it will become our 'neighbourhood' pub....Yes! We love the staff ... we love the food.... the atmosphere is what it was in the '90's' but that's ok!

Got sat at exactly 5pm on a Wing Wednesday night at Maude Hunters'.
Highlights (just my opinion):

Great flavours for wings on wing night (got Honey Hot)
I had the beef dip; it was a regular beef dip, nothing too memorable, could have used a bit more beef closer to the end tips of the sandwich. The fries were something I wanted to try, seasoned (which was nice and thoughtful), but unfortunately got a little top salty (and I love my salt).
The wings were really good though, picked Honey Hot, which was a right balance of heat and sweetness (I usually get medium spice in ethnic restaurants) for me.
Husband's chicken burger didn't have too thick of a batter, and reasonable size which looked good. The pickle was a nice touch.
Service I really liked, redeemed for the fries and my beef dip- checked in on us, we didn't have to wait too long for beverage refills!
The place had a nice ambience, local pub-style, had full seats indoors once we were leaving after 6pm.
My absolute favourite local bar. The food is quite good and the staff is excellent.
I come every week for Tuesday trivia and other times during the week just for the food.
I love it here. The staff is super friendly, but in a genuine way. The food is surprisingly good for a pub, and I mean that with respect, and the price is arguably the cheapest in Victoria? I love eating here, I love drinking here, I love coming for trivia nights. I’m just glad I live close by so I can come often, such a great place
The food was reasonable in quality, the portions weren't very large I left hungry for the price I paid. The wait was a half an hour to get a table. The food was served in a timely fashion.
After the food hit the table the service declined substantially. We were left alone a little too long some of our people at the table wanted more drinks.
I would go back.
Maybe I'll try a larger meal next time.
Classic pub. Excellent and reliable food. Very friendly and efficient staff. A venerable local institution. Unchanged since the 1970s.

We had lunch at Maude Hunters yesterday and it was very enjoyable. Our server was very good and Covid protocol was being followed. We had the Cobb Salad with Chicken and the Pulled Pork sandwich, both were very good!
Great place to meet friends for a drink and some delicious eats. Warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly servers. Will definitely be back.

Lovely place with a super cozy and inviting atmosphere, a nice patio, and cheap cocktails. The food was totally acceptable pub food but at its price point, a little underwhelming. Get the mango cocktail, it's fire.
Food here was very good. Simple burger, fries but done right. Burger tasted like it was fresh ground beef. Waitress was attentive but not overly so. Prices were good, atmosphere chill and a good age range (20s to 60s). We haven't been here in years and will be making more of an effort to get out here again in the future.
Great little pub for a late afternoon pint. Food was hot. Beer was cold. Service was lovely.

This place place has recently become my local. This bevy would rarely be my usual but Saturday found it on sale for $5.50 a pint. So vivé le France 🇫🇷 and keep them coming. The food is great as well. Stop in for a nice change if you are near UVIC!
