My brother has a soy allergy, which while going to a Japanese restaurant makes things very difficult, our server was extremely patient and made sure to check ingredients on everything for us with the kitchen staff. She also recommended different items without soy. Overall the food was amazing, normally I'm not a huge fan of beef but their lunch special had some amazing side plates!

Delicious. Absolutely delicious. Try the cider and definitely eat the sushi. The ramen looked wonderful as well. I would have taken pictures but I ate too fast. Hahahaha. Guess I will have to return for round 2.

loved the vibes here along with the food! casual but still upbeat and modern feeling. we got seating at the bar as it was quite busy. the bartender was super friendly and professional. i wasn't feeling boozy but the cocktail menu looked great, maybe next time! the food was super good. we ordered a torched sushi roll, the k-chili chicken, a katsu don and a kaisen don. no complaints, best meal I've had in a long time. the sashimi on the kaisen don was really fresh+clean tasting, and it was absolutely loaded. i was kinda surprised by the amount of sashimi as I'm used to places giving 1 or 2 super thin slices of only a few different types of fish. would love to come back and try more of the sushi as well, the selection looks original and unique! coming from out of town and always on the hunt for high quality sushi/japanese restaurants.

Came to Nubo for dinner with 2 friends while out from Manitoba on vacation. This was the best all-around meal I've had in a while. The portions were more than expected...looking at you Puff Daddy...and the flavors were on-point. I will have continued dreams about the Japa Roll and the British Fish and Chips roll had a whimsically delicious spin. Our server was absolutely delightful and helpful with any questions we had. Nubo will absolutely be put on the must-go list for next time I'm out.

The restaurant is beautiful, great location, lots of windows and natural light. Our server was awesome! The food was absolutely delicious and was made so quickly. When I visit Victoria again, I will definitely be stopping in here. Oh and the prices were really great too. 5 stars all around.

Rolls were one of the best I ever tried! Midnight Roll, Dynamite, and spicy tuna rolls were all amazing. Service is great and friendly! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Our server was fantastic. She was fun and encouraged us to enjoy ourselves. The food is fantastic. The fish is fresh and the rice is perfectly cooked. I have been Nubo Kitchen + Bar multiple times now and it never disappoints.

Went to eat here when I stayed in Victoria. Amazing dishes and presentation. The platter was beyond amazing with all the many cuts of different sashimis. Everything tasted spectacular . The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The drink menu was also great and had many different selections. Overall the experience was great especially during a time with a pandemic I felt comfortable! I would highly recommend this place if your ever visiting Victoria and want to eat great quality and fresh sushi!

Somehow my original review from years ago disappeared for this place. However my loyalty and respect for this restaurant has not waned over the years. It is still one of the top favorite restaurants to take my boyfriend to in the city. We hadn't dine much since the pandemic but I know he orders frequent via Skip the Dishes.

I love this place! Servers/hostesses are great - friendly, quick, and professional. I've only gone for lunch and they have "sets" that are basically bento boxes taken to the next level. They mix them up so you're always getting something interesting and I've never had anything in a set I didn't like. Great sushi and sashimi. Has become our go-to sushi place!

Went here with my coworkers a couple months ago for a staff party and we had the best time! The drinks were delicious I kept them coming and the seafood was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Views of the ocean were nice too!
