Got some takeout for dinner during a business trip. Very friendly owner operators and tasty food cooked fresh and hot. Well packaged, portioned, and reasonably priced.

Nice Thai fare and excellent service in Langford. Have about nine different lunch specials with adjustable level of spiciness. With an order of the specials, diner select either salad or spring roll as a side. The owner and waitress working on the floor are friendly, especially the prior who ensures diners have delicious food and a nice experience. We ordered a green curry with chicken and a veggie Pad Thai with tofu and peanuts. The curry is filled with ingredients like bamboo shoots, green peppers, chicken, and more. And the veggie Pad Thai is excellent for in every bite the bean sprouts and peanut crumbles are fun delights to the mouth. My personal preference is for the noodle to not be as soft, which on the next time could be addressed. This place is worth revisits. On the next visit I’ll be trying out something different.

I came across this little gem by random and now it's literally my FAVORITE place by far!!! The Thai noodle soup is probably the best in Victoria and I've tried a ton of places, this surpasses them all! Also the crispy spring rolls and firecracker rolls are just delightful!! Even after I'm done I'm wanting more! The service is excellent and a great atmosphere! So glad I found this place as it is my new go to!! You guys rock!! See ya soon again :)

I went here to attend an engagement dinner and I'm not usually a huge fan of Thai food but it was SO SO good. It surpassed my expectations. Would definitely be back for sure and will be raving about this place!! Their spring rolls are to die for!! Frank is also very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. All the staff was so polite and welcoming.

We just had an engagement party. Frank helped up design a delicious menu in our budget. Everyone who attended loved the food, especially the Thai Me Up rolls. It was warm, cozy and excellent service. Will be back!

We were recently visiting Victoria and felt like eating Thai food. We found the reviews for Mango Thai Restaurant very good, so we went for lunch. We had the lunch special - Shrimp & Chicken Noodle Soup with all fresh vegetables and Vegetarian Spring Rolls. The food was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. They used only good quality fresh vegetables (like snow peas, cauliflower, broccoli, spring onions, french beans, etc.) and not frozen veggies. Everything was fresh, perfect size and authentic. The lunch specials were such a good deal and so good. Frank's wife prepared authentic Thai food. Even her Spring Rolls were fantastic and very tasty. The owner, Frank and his Thai wife, were super friendly and provided us with excellent customer service. Whenever we visit Victoria again, we will definitely eat at this restaurant, as we loved the food and great service. Many thanks to Frank and his wife for cooking such a delicious meal for us and making our visit a memorable one!

Nice takeout packaging. This is the first time I have eaten Pad Thai and it tastes amazing. ============== First visit: The server was very friendly and the environment was great. Had tried more dishes. They offered mango sticky rice at that time, not sure if they still have it or not. ============== More takeout orders: Delicious as always!

I came to this establishment on Sunday January 3, 2022. My New Year’s resolution is to try new ethnic cuisine around the city. I was pleased with my decision to visit Mango Thai. My partner and I came for dinner and dined in. We were surprised that we enjoyed our meals here. We ordered two dishes, and shared them; being two of us. We ordered the Phad Prig Khing and Green curry (both with chicken). Both dishes were phenomenal. I couldn’t stop eating the green beans, they were so delicious and full of flavour. The green beans felt “fresh” and had a crunch/snap when enjoying them. They were a savory and umami treat to have. My partner also enjoyed his Green curry and he said, “it’s the best Thai curry he’s tasted.” I tried it also and it was good, the addition of the coconut milk broth made the rice creamy and nice. Food wise the restaurant is great. Moreover, one thing I found unusual at this restaurant is that the music that plays is RNB/Pop type music. For instance, while we were enjoying our meals, we were listening to Justin Bieber - “Stay” and The Weeknd - “Save Your Tears“. I feel this restaurant should play some Thai music to pair well with the food. I felt as if I was listening to the radio while I ate my meal. This is my only feedback to the restaurant - everything else was great. We had a lovely brunette waitress serve us and under her mask, I could sense she was smiling. She was cheerful and pleasant. It was our first time coming to this restaurant and the server was very well informed on the menu and advised us on the “most popular dishes”. We were not disappointed with her recommendations. Unfortunately, we didn’t get her name because she didn’t have a name tag, however if you do go to this restaurant ask for the brunette lady. She provided us with excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal tonight 5/5 would come back and dine in.

We had the most wonderful meal for our New Years Dinner. The loveliest people and the most delicious Thai food. Truly a gem of a place.

The moment I walked in to this lovely restaurant, it felt like little Thailand. I was greeted warmly by one of the servers and got sat right away. I ordered a few items and also had mango sticky rice for dessert. And O.M.G. everything I had was up to par. I am very picky about trying new things but after reading all the good reviews, I decided to try. I can say I will definitely be making this restaurant my go to Thai place. And if I ever need to have a night in, they have a few delivery options which is perfect for lazy nights where I don’t feel like going out. Will be back sooner than you know it!

Came here for lunch with a group of 4. Was seated quickly and the staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the Mango Thai Noodle Soup. My cousin also got the same item. My grandma got the pineapple fried rice and mom got the pad Thai, which they all enjoyed! Also the lunch special came with either a spring roll or small salad. The restaurant is very spacious and have comfortable sitting. Also there is parking out front. Would definitely come back if I’m back in Victoria, BC.

A friend of a friend who knows Frank, the co-owner with his Thai wife, suggested we eat here and I'm glad they did! They obviously take a lot of pride in offering a special meal. Lunch dishes come with 2 deep fried spring rolls which I usually avoid because of the grease. But these were so crisp, fresh and not greasy. The owner explained the kind of rice wrap they use does not absorb the grease. Good to know! I always want noodles and the lunch menu is small, so I chose the Pad Thai. The noodles were perfectly cooked - not chewy or mushy. I ordered medium spice which came exactly to my taste. The flavours were fresh and bright, not muddy like some pad thai sauces can be. And the protein choice is built in to the price, distinguishing it from many Victoria Thai restaurants where the default menu price is protein-free. My friend really enjoyed her red curry too. We wouldn't normally have dessert at lunch but the owner offered us some mango pudding and it was light & tasty. Normally, only a trip to Costco can get me to leave downtown Victoria for Langford, but I will definitely go again while heading up or down the island on other trips. The location is near the Market on Millstream, but the decor and gracious service makes you forget you're in a mall.

I came across this restaurant awhile ago but never gotten the chance to leave a review. Before coming here I usually always check reviews on Google to see if the restaurant is worth coming to. And after seeing many positive reviews I thought to check it out, and WOW all I can say is that it has been the only Thai restaurant I go to. I've tried many other places around the area and nothing compares to mango Thai. Everything is fresh, perfect size, and authentic. The lunch specials are such a good deal and so good. But if you like variety, I would definitely order a few things on the dinner menu. I like to enjoy my dinner with their Thai iced tea, coconut milk or even their chang beer imported from Thailand! 5 stars for everything, the owners are super friendly and staff as well, and food never disappoints.

It's so easy these days to shoot down a restaurant for something we think is "terrible". This was a hard review to write, but it came down to the people we met working there were genuinely really friendly and amazing. These reviews can be pretty devastating to good people who put their full efforts to give us a great experience (to their best ability). The restaurant was pleasantly nice inside. Now I was suprised because the exterior of a plaza shop is a hard thing to make look decent. And that's not the fault of the business, it's a plaza. the combined decor of the entire length of businesses adds to the facade of any business residing in it. And honestly this end of the plaza I hardly find myself coming to. So once inside, I said "wow, it's rather nice and spacious in here". The server was amazing with his radiant smile, and was quite genuine. Either he is part of the family ownership or a really well treated employee? But this really made me want to like the restaurant more and hesitated when I wanted to trigger a one-star review. The food. okay, this was really hard to review. in 2019, most people going to a Thai restaurant have had real Thai food. Either from Thailand or from some top notch authentic places around BC (and this city). You can't help but compare a restaurant to others you've tried. And this is where the topic of "authenticity" comes up in another review I read. The owner responded with the fact that the chef is from Thailand so it's "authentic". This response had me smiling. The best way to describe the food at Mango Thai is that it feels home cooked. Where I was happy is the food didn't taste "restaurant processed". Because I work in the food industry, I can spot restaurant processed shortcuts that are offered to cut time and increase profits. I was happy the food tasted fresh. Where I was disappointed was the food lacked the usual flavours/spices to the level we can associate with a 5star dish. The Pad See Ew was most disappointing because their choice of the wrong thin-flat noodle which led to the whole composition of the dish becoming messy. (I uploaded the photo in this review) The flat broad noodle is SUPPOSED to be used and brings the Pad See Ew together beautifully in a velvet sauced sensation in your mouth. Prices seem pretty on par with restaurant prices. It's not cheap and it's not expensive. Mango Thai, wish you the best 2019.
