Man Chicken 649 never fails. My partner and I moved to the neighborhood in September 2022 and it took us an embarrassingly long time to try this place just around the corner. Now we order at least once or twice a month. I’ve tried four different flavors and love them all but my favorite is soy garlic. It’s just perfect. Every time we order, no matter what sizes we get, we have leftovers so it makes the price really sensible. The last order I placed was for a 4 piece cheesy chicken. I ate 2 pieces and was full and used one piece to make a sandwich (yum) and had the last piece as a nice midnight snack. Very highly recommend.

Ordered 8 pieces of Yangnyeom chicken and a meal with Garlic Soy Chicken. The KFC was saucy and DELICIOUS! So juicy, crispy, and came with full pieces of chicken! Fed 2 people with lots of leftovers. Also bought a coleslaw salad which is quite small and not really worth it but the chicken is amazing! There's an eating area but this is definitely a place for takeout.

I’m not a huge fried chicken fan. I usually avoid it. However, this particular KFC is my absolute FAVOURITE. Their Garlic Soy is my go-to and I love, love, love it.

Honestly very surprised with the 1 star reviews as I had the complete opposite experience (more than once) ordering from this location.
I called to make a take out order of 2x full set of wings. 1 order was half and half (sweet honey & soy almond) 1 order of sweet & spicy. Both box’s were heavy when I picked them up meaning we were getting what we paid for.
What I personally like if some wings are boneless, this time around I had more than usual and I love that! They are tasty, savoury & filling!
When I called, they mentioned a 15 min wait and they held up to their word. Again, not sure about the lower star review but my experiences have been nothing shy of great which also reflects in the food.

This place will be hot during the summer but it was fine when we dined it during the cooler period. The chicken portion is worth the money paid for it. We tried spicy fried chicken, original fried chicken, and cheese fried chicken. The taste rating is ordered that way, too. I also liked the picked radish, but it's probably because I tend to like sour food.

Finally I got to try their Original style fried chicken. Crispy outside tender inside. I need to try the sweet & spicy next week. The restaurant inside are very clean. They are try their best to create a refreshing beautiful place for the customer. I will be back. Yes, Tony. you can use the photos.

I ordered 8 pieces of honey garlic and 8 pieces of Korean sweet and spicy. I found both to have a very crunchy and satisfying taste although I liked the honey garlic better. I've also tried their garlic flavoured one before which made me want to try the place again. So far it's the best fast fried chicken place in town.

Really delicious fried chicken and potato wedges. The original flavour and honey flavour were both fantastic! Everything was fresh and hot... will be returning in the near future! Take out took about 15-20 minutes and the staff was very nice and efficient.

Absolute favorite and best. Love at first taste and no other Korean chicken compares. They made my dreams come true when I wanted to try Korean fried chicken after a watching tones of kdramas. SO Freaking GOOD. But honestly, I personally am extremely picky and new foods are tough to try especially meat. This place tho - I barely ever find any fat. It’s so good. The yangnyeom sauce is insane. Thank you guys. Will forever be ordering here.

Chicken is a blend of unique flavours and crunchy enough to muffle out the voices of those around me. Wirh each bite there appears to have steam rising from each piece and the smell of seasoning, it's just mmmmm, mmmm 😋
and btw it comes in pizza boxes which I thought was coolio

So good!!!! I can't recommend this place enough! Menu is a little confusing but the food, atmosphere, and staff are all wonderful. My boyfriend and I are going to go every week until we've tried everything on the menu!

The chicken was excellent, looking forward to trying some of the other flavours.
I as confused by the menu though – I tried to order the 5 pc chicken meal for dinner and told that wasn't an option, so I ended up just eating 8 pcs for myself with no sides instead. There's a separate lunch special below that so it's quite unclear.
I'd give them 5 stars if they would provide a dinnertime 1 person meal with sides!

Always fantastic and worth the wait. I’ve never had a problem with their management or customer service, and they’re always kind when we come in to place an order or call over the phone. Learn what time to order, as they get busy (and guess what? there’s nothing wrong with them being busy). If you can’t order over the phone, come in and wait with someone or bring a book. The atmosphere in the resturant is great! Sit down, have a beer or a pop, and relax. They’re doing the best they can, and have got many more customers than they expected since they opened. Rock on, Chicken 649! You got a customer for life here. �

I was sceptical that a Korean restaurant would have good fried chicken compared to the normal KFC or Lee’s Famous in Duncan. I can officially say that the fried chicken here is hands down the best I’ve had. I tried both original and sweet and spicy. Was perfect and I will be back soon. Thanks guys.

Chicken 649 is THE TRUTH. I've never had fried chicken I really liked... Until now. This has changed my opinion of fried chicken for the better. Seriously next level chicken. Only downside is how close it is to my home.
