Review Sizzling Tandoor Restaurant - Victoria

We really like the butter chicken curry, it is delicious! The service is regular, and the place is ok. For future experiences we might prefer to order the amazing butter chicken curry to go, and we will have it at home. We will definitely come back!

Food here is wonderful. Lovely hostess. Chefs are amazing. Lunch buffet is always good. One of the only spots I really trust. Was treated fairly on a refund issue as well.

I came in today to try the buffet, as I always loved it before Covid. The food is amazing as usual, but what most impressed me was how happy the staff seem. They all smile with each other, which speaks highly to how the place is run. Furthermore, the server today was outstanding! She was super happy to be at work (likely due to the owners and other staff), very friendly and as attentive as one would expect from staff at a fine dining establishment. Even as the place filled up, she continued to manage everyone and everything with poise and finesse. What a great place!

First place I went to eat in Victoria and was really pleased with the experience. I've had a lot of Indian food at different restaurants and this place would near more toward the top of the list. I had a coconut beef curry, and my girlfriend had a classic butter chicken. Both tasted different bit equally delicious. We also got the garlic rosemary and garlic cheese naan and they were definitely worth the extra price. They were both generously portioned, hot, buttery, and tasted great. I'm a big eater and even the portion size was good for me. Shout-out to the girl who served us, was incredibly polite and even offered us free chai which also tasted great. the only thing was the lighting was extremely dim, and we actually had to use a flashlight to see our food lol.

Their food tastes amazing. Specially the tandoori chicken. We went for lunch buffet. It usually have two meat item- 1 kebab/tandoori type and another one is butter chicken. We had to wait for a long time for the tandoori. But the taste feels like worth waiting for it! Would visit this place again. Staff were very nice and had clean washroom!

Wow. Just blew me away. The service was spot on. The food was out of this world. The beer was cold and delicious! My daughter got Tikka masala and I got lamb Rogan Josh. We were both incredibly impressed. The spinach stuffed naan alone is worth a trip to this spot. Seriously, I cannot wait to go back to Victoria so I can eat here again! A note to the servers, you guys are so friendly. I loved hearing you talking and laugh to one another. It seemed like you were all having a great time. It made our experience so much brighter to be somewhere the staff wanted to be.

The buffet is good, but get there early otherwise you will not get a seat. If you would like a quiet place to gather 4 people or less, with lots of parking spots, easy to find and great Indian cuisine, this is where you want to go.

Yesterday night with my friends enjoyed having authentic Indian cuisine which I was been missing for many years. Lovely place and humble staff and especially shoutout to owner.

Amazing Indian food. The tandoor masalas were authentic and cooked to perfection. The kheer was also great. Highly recommended Indian cuisine restaurant.

One of my favorite restaurants in Victoria and definitely the best Indian food around! Lunch buffet is always delicious and the vegan naan makes it a great place to bring my vegan friends. There are also lots of options that are not spicy like butter chicken for my husband who can’t eat spicy food. The service is always wonderful, all the staff are very friendly and helpful! Large portions for a very good price. Couldn’t recommend it enough! ❤️

Tried their Buffet, it was small, they had no paneer dishes for vegetarians, only one starter, while the food was tasty, cost seemed much for the amount of items they had

Delicious Indian cuisine! The staff were very friendly and professional. I love indian cuisine and this place is "Top notch" perfect atmosphere for a date or anniversary.

This is our favourite spot for Indian cuisine and we can’t wait until it reopens after the renovations

We had the buffet lunch and it was good. Many options and great sauces . The fresh made naan was delicious! The staff was friendly and around when we needed them.

Favourite Indian place in town. I havent been to the downtown location but I've heard this Uptown one is the preferred. I loved my tandoori calamari and the veggie samosas for happy hour prices. The prawn karrahi curry was delicious and plenty of prawns. My friend enjoyed her paneer. Service was awesome and friendly. My tolerance for spice isnt very high so the mild curry still had a kick for me. Next time Im going to see if I can ask for extra mild!

Polite and friendly staff. Food was alright. Samosa with chana topping was delicious.
Clean and neat ambience. The service was fast (noon time) and we were served with smiles. Would love to go here again

I got high standard for curry and this place was disappointing.

I ordered the mango chicken. Im pretty sure they serve me butter chicken by mistake - there was no mango at all. Also the chicken tasted like processed meat, like it was microwaved and tossed into the curry.

Service sucked. Waitress checked on us near the end of the meal and didn't even refill our water when she said she would.

Two very small dishes for $35 is pretty expensive IMHO.

Go to Kuku's or Sabri's instead, you'll thank me.

Got takeout, some butter chicken, basa curry, rice and pakoras. Basa was overcooked, rice was dry, pakoras were like cardboard, and the curry tasted like dog food. Butter chicken wasn't revolting, but pretty close. I've had good Indian food, and this stuff was shit. Also too expensive
Not being that experienced in the cuisine I can just relate that the food there is fantastic.
The buffet at lunch is what Ive tried a handful of times.
Bold. Creamy rich. Hot. Cool. Its a wonderful collection of flavours and textures.
Im a big fan.
Thanks.
Decent food but nowhere close to authentic indian food..they have adapted the food to suit to local palette..being an Indian looking for some desi khana then you would be disappointed

We loved the food and the services was great
I went for dinner here. The food isn't too bad. Are the prices reasonable for the food? I'm not so sure. We ordered two dishes between the two of us and the bill came out to be about $35 before tip. Again, the food isn't too bad so it's worth a visit but I wouldn't frequent this place though since there are many other options at such a price range (imo).

Sizzling tandor at uptown is guaranteed the number 1 Indian cuisine in BC. The spinach paneer is the best I have ever had in all of my travels.

I can't help praise the wonderful evening my friend and I had! We had reservations at 8pm and were promptly directed to a lovely spot. Lovely light music and fine dining! We ordered chicken biryani and palak curry with lacha paratha and tomato soup. YUM!!! Also tried Indian famous Kingfisher beer, again sturdy good! But we skipped main course cuz we ain't so fond of that. MUST try. And yea the veggie pakoras with green chutney are equally heaven. Ultimately, we had an amazing evening of laughter, conversation and some of the best food on the island :) thank you Sizzling Tandoor :) and yes, lovely courteous service as well :). Remarkable !!!

Went for the lunch buffet, only good thing was the naan bread and pakoras.
Had potato currey, it was awful. The potato's were practically raw. They were crunchy and hard when you bit into them.
i wont be going back. spending $13 on raw food is unacceptable.

Sunday night, 6 pm, me and 9 of my friends. No problem for this place! We got top notch service, piping hot dishes spiced to please everyone. Meat dishes were amazing as previous reviewers stated - large moist chunks of meat. Great tandoori chicken too; the real deal! All dishes were uniquely flavoured. Owner thanked us personally for our business. We had more food than we could eat and price was very reasonable at $25 per person include a big fat gratuity for the good service.
My group will be back!

We went right when they opened at 10:59am haha. First ones there so of course the food was fresh. We had the lunch buffet. Naan bread was absolutely delicious and always made right to order by the basket. Decent selection of dishes, not too spicy. Moist meat, not dry at all. Not a fan of the carrot pudding. Halfway through people started rolling in table after table, for the lunch rush. Was super busy by the time we finished, so that must be a good sign. I would recommend for someone to try it out, but I won't be going back for buffet as the food is way too heavy for me personally, and I ate way too much :-) for 13 dollars though it was well worth the full belly.

Worst dining experience of my life.. I left a public message on this Facebook page for management to explain the situation that occurred last week. This has not happened. Instead I can no longer find my post asking for clarification around a certain policy to do with mis-ordered food. So, since I have no faith in the management responding let alone keeping that post public, I figured I would share my horrific experience here.

I have never been treated to the kind of customer service in my life I received here. I am not sure if this is now becoming usual practice of charging for food that was not ordered? If so, I'd advise against coming here as this is what happened to me. Also, I'd like this clearly explained by the establishment whose manager was apparently too busy cooking to come talk with my party. Our waitress misunderstood our table's order and we ended up with five dishes instead of four (for four people and we said nothing about a to-go order). Another waitress (the only one who actually tried to fix the situation) brought our food out and commented how five dishes wasn't right was it? After trying to leave the fifth order at our table in a take out box, our waitress returned to explain that she was just going to leave the order to go and essentially, because she misheard our order, we would be charged for the five meals. Apparently, she had explained this situation to the manager and said we could speak with her if we wanted. Yes, of course I would like the manager to have this policy explained to me and my party.

After being ignored and with blatant stares from staff from the window, our waitress finally returned to inform me the manager was too busy to come speak to us as she was cooking in the back. The other waitress was there actually refilling our drinks (imagine that!), and said to her colleague this was a server error and apologized to us. I had to chase down our waitress even for a take out box and getting our bill wasn't much easier.

This is truly unfortunately as I live walking distance to Uptown and work nearby. I have taken out food several times and has always been my to-go Indian restaurant. I would at least like some sort of recognition from this establishment for being a long-time customer.

Food is nice, but the rice portions are inadequate to say the least. I guess this is how they make money.

I recently met an old friend for lunch at the sizzling tandoor restaurant. I was very pleased with the service, our server kept our coffees full and was quick with fresh naan. Delicious food in the buffet. I will definitely be back!

Big WOW for sizzling tandoor ............. Last week I had butter chicken at sizzling tandoor. Trust me it is the best butter chicken taste I have till in my life.Well done to the sizzling tandoor .Good preparation and presentation.Feels like home......

Worst customer service ever seen. Lady at the desk really rude. Not for people who need quality. Never would be back again. Better to go off with other options available in town.

Good food. I like the quality of the buffet, I only wish they had a couple more choices.

Love this place! Fabulous buffet! Not huge, but great selection!

Group Dinner at the Uptown Location. 15 of us went for dinner July 29 and had the most fantastic dinner one could imagine.
We left most of the dinner choices to our host and owner Gurinder Bawa. the perfect host and Gentleman
Gurinder hit it out of the park everyone was blown away the quality of the food and the unique Indian flavours.
Even for those that had never eaten Indian food before, were totally impressed. The huge smiles and full stomachs on everyone said it all.

Nice atmosphere & delicious food. Delicious food, lots of selection. Their mango lassi is probably the best I've had in Victoria and I always order it wherever I go! The atmosphere in the restaurant is quite nice and service is good. The owner is very friendly. Will be coming back often!

Small portions and no flavour. I got Sizzling Tandoor delivered to my home. The container sizes were so small, I thought it was a joke. The Spinach and Cheese was okay, but the butter chicken was extremely disappointing. The chicken was dry and the sauce had no flavour. And the price tag for the tasteless butter chicken? $16! How ridiculous.

CONSTANTLY DISAPPOINTING POOR FOOD. We went here the first time having had it recommended. What a disappointment. Chicken Tikka Masala tasted like nothing I've ever had before and the Lamb Rogan Josh was just horrible. No it isn't expensive but it's also junk that they are serving. I went back again as maybe it was just a bad experience the first time and had the Chicken Saag which came as a lump of green goo. Do some people really think that Indian food should look and taste like this? I've looked at what was being served to other tables and I've read the reviews and I really can't believe this place is actually trading on a daily basis serving this stuff. Complete mystery to me and I can only say save your money and go somewhere they serve Indian food.

Pricy but decent. My brother and I opted for this place on Saturday night. Very busy and no reservation but we were seated relatively quickly. Had tandoori chicken, eggplant bartha and lamb vindaloo. Chicken and eggplant dishes medium spice, vindaloo spicy. I enjoyed the heat in the dishes. I see complaints from some of the other reviews that the food isn't spicy enough. I suspect that is simply the price you pay when you eat off the buffet. Spice levels can't offend when cooking for the masses. The naan was great. Service was quick initially, but then rather inattentive. Their beer selection could use some improvement and the prices are a bit high compared to the options I have near home.
Tara
Best butter chicken ever! Dont even get me started on the pakoras! I recommend this wonderful restaurant for it has exceptional service and delectable food.
Susan Leigh
The service here leaves so much to be desired. We sat and watched as our food got cold while the waitress was twirling her hair. It's too bad because the food is decent and they'd got a great location.
Dig In Food
Flavourless and Not- Authentic. Just because you are from INDIA doesn't mean you can cook great INDIAN food. The service was slow and ambience depressing. The restaurant was full of turmeric smell and it was awful once walked out I could smell it on me in my car to cafe to home until I washed my jacket ( they can certainly use An Air Purifier ). Biryani was no close to biryani because it was too blend and had no authentic biryani flavour, I was totally disheartened. In order to make it Canadian blend - the Chef forgot to keep the key ingredient alive of Biryani like mint, chillies and herbs. It was a dead dish for me . The lamb curry could use some ginger garlic taste because the meat smelled - again and again very blend flavour. The chicken Karai or Chicken curry was all red and tasteless fully useless dish but NO TASTE and same goes for the Spinach Vegan sabzi, AWFUL. The chicken tikka- are you kidding me - as if they coloured it red and forgot to marinate.

The naan were great because they came out of Tandoor - it was the only highlight . If you have eaten good Biryani and other food items elsewhere I mentioned above, any where around mainland or in some Desi house - you would know your fooled BIG TIME.

For the restaurant the tip is trust Canadians and Tourist, cook authentic food for them. They have a heart and stomach to enjoy different flavour and they can take it, stop treating them in food like KIDS.

My wife and my favorite Indian place hands down. Consistent, reasonably priced (for vegetarian items at least) and ridiculously flavorful. Keep up the good work!

Will try again one day. Went there on a Sunday afternoon with about a dozen friends. Even though the restaurant had been informed of our visit, we still had to rummage through the sauce in the pans to get bits of meat. The food itself was good. The butter chicken and beef were excellent. The choices seemed limited and everything seemed to taste the same though. Very clean and bright restaurant. Still a good value

Went for dinner thought it was buffet but thats lunch so we ordered off the menu and was awesome. We've been talking about finding a good East Indian restaurant and we found it ... highly recommended!

Great food but spotty service. I've been to this restaurant probably 20 times since it opened. The food is always great but lately the service has been awful. On three occasions we ordered appetizers and mains and they brought all the food at the same time and then were surprised when we told them to take the mains back to the kitchen while we ate our appetizers. Twice we were brought the wrong order and when the server checked her note pad saw that she had written it down wrong (same server both times. Dumb!). But the worst was last night. They were busy and there were no seats. One of the servers said it would be about 20 minutes and we were 2nd in line. So we asked if we could put our name down and come back in 20 minutes. She said there's no list but it will be fine. So we come back in 20 minutes and they're still really busy with people waiting. Another server tells us there are no tables available. We tell her that the server over there said if we came back in 20 minutes there would be a table. She said sorry, there's no line and won't be a table for a while. We weren't the only ones that left pissed off! Thanks for wasting our time!! They don't take reservations unless it's a large group so why don't they manage a seating order list like every other popular, small restaurant does?! SO frustrating. I might give it one more chance but the service needs to improve!

Terrific Value. My wife and I were recently into The Sizzling Tandoor for the lunch buffet. I was very Impressed with the Freshness and veriety of the items. As well they definitly did not skimp out on the meat in the sauces. My wife, a vegitarian, enjoyed the Dahl as well the The Pakora curry and of coarse the BEST Naan Bread in town. Happy to see they won BEST IN THE CITY INDIAN for the second time! they deserve it!

A Must Try!!. I recently had the pleasure of eating at the new Uptown Sizzling Tandoor. The lunch Buffet was excellent and beautifully presented. The food was delicious, the decor very tasteful and the owners are gracious. I loved it!!

Marilyn

Best Indian Food In Victoria. An awesome experience, great service, the best indian food I've ever had in public and I know indian food. Will be going back for a long long time.

Ive been to Sizzling Tandoor a few times and never been disappointed. Most recently I tried the mixed grill and it was great! If you love good indian food or want to try something new this is the perfect place.

Amazing food. Finally i had chance to go to Sizzling tandoor at up town for dinner with my girl
friend .it was her birthday on same day.luckly we called ahead for reservation other wise we would had not get table for dinner.restaurant was packed.we got attention from server and asked us if we had reservation.we had window table, gave us menu for food and drinks.water was delivered right away.we ordered chicken pakora and calamari pakora, both were really good specially with king fisher beer and rosetini.Foror main course i had rogan josh with garlic naan ,it was melting in my mouth and she had mango chicken with rosemary naan.it was so good and very satisfying.the thing we really liked it that you do get complimentary rice with each dish.server was very friendly and came to our table to make sure that we are happy with every thing.i just mentioned her once that its shawna's birthday today.server surprised us with mango cheese cake for shawna and wished her happy birthday.we both will be back for sure.it was worth checking new restaurant doing really well.

Love it. I heard lot about this restaurant from my friends . Couple days ago i got chance to eat here . I ordered coconut lamb and garlic naan and my friend ordered tandoori fish . we both shared the meal it was so good the fish was melting in your mouth both dishes was so good best indian food in town . the server was really friendly
Just A Bite
Heard great things about the sizzling tandoor and was sorely disappointed. We went for dinner and both of the dishes lacked taste. The only taste in one was the plastic taste of the paneer. Even though the restaurant was almost empty we received very poor service. We were unable to get a waiter to come over and ended up having to go find him to get some sauce. The only thing that was any good was the naan but hardly worth returning just for that. Next time I want Indian food Ill drive a bit farther to the Spice Jammer for better food and service!
Mahalkita143
Absoletly delicous. My friend and i went to uptown to run some errands then ended up hungry and wanted to try something new, we found it absolutely amazing. I enjoyed the food alot. I loved that how the servers put naan bread to your table as soon as your arrive. very clean and neat as well

I have been to the Uptown location twice and both times I had the lunch buffet. While I cannot say it was one of the best Indian food experiences I have had, I will say that it is good and the lunch buffet is very good bang for your buck. Although the selection is limited, I enjoyed what was offered. The beef curry had larger pieces of beef which was very tender and nicely spiced. The butter chicken was also very tender although I thought it could have had a bit more flavor but was not bad. The naan bread was a bit on the thin crispy side but again, it's part of the buffet so i can't be too picky. I don't tend to eat Indian often as my husband is not a fan so dropping $40 on take out Indian food is not something I do often for myself. But having this $12 lunch buffet within a km of my place now allows me to satisfy my occasional Indian food cravings at an affordable price which makes this foodie a happy lady:)

I really wanted to like this place.... Being a fan of Indian food, and a resident of the area, I was really looking forward to some good Indian food. To start, the food was decent, nothing to complain about, flavours were as expected, but I wasn't amazed by anything. Perhaps I didn't order the best items, who knows. This place takes a good shot at western style Indian food.

What really disappointed me was the service, the place was full when we got there so we took a seat at the bar until a table opened up. We watched a few people, who just walked in, get a seat before us, we had a drink at this point so we weren't too upset. When we finally we got a table, we were immediately asked if we wanted to order. At this point we hadn't even opened the menu. When we did order, the food came in a relatively timely manner, so that was alright. When the time came that we indicated that we wanted to pay, we waited a minimum for 15 minutes until we got our bill. During this time we watched the various servers clean and stand around before our bill came. Same with after we were ready to pay, we had cash sitting on the table for a good 10 minutes until we got up and found someone to give it to.

All in all, the place looked cool inside and had a good vibe going. I would return for and eat there to curb my appetite for Indian food. Unfortunately what will keep me away is the service and overall lack of organization. This place is in desperate need of a competent manager, under the right direction, this place would be great.

Been downtown several times.. Always great! Just finished at the new uptown buffet. Fantastic! Great naan and a constant flow of fresh curries coming out of the kitchen during our Monday lunch.. Thank you
Amie Swithin
So good! I've never eaten at either restaurant and I'm sorry for that. I had the chicken cashew curry. Delish! Great portion size and priced right. Can't wait to go back. Wish it was bigger. Beware of possible long wait times and not a place for big groups.
Michi_eats
Wow hard to believe it's been 3 years. I still regularly eat at sizzling tandoor as the location is convenient and it's nice to have a hot meal for lunch. Service is still good and the place is still busy. Prices have gone up enough to make you question if it's affordable for lunch. The buffet is now up to $15.00+ plus GST, and the menu meals with lamb have gone up to $18+tax. It's $3 for chai - refillable, and $3 for rice if you want to order an additional one. All the lunch menu meals come with rice. Same menu for dinner but rice is not included and costs extra. They've scaled back on the amount of meat included in the menu meals. I think I counted 7 pieces of lamb in my mango curry last time. I can stretch the meal to 2 meals, rather than 3, so portions have shrunk. Also if you and another person at the same table order menu meals, they bring a 2-portion plate of rice (which honestly is not enough to eat rice with your meal if you like rice) . Potato naan is mostly peas for filler, with a bit of potato but still a favorite. Rogan josh is also good. Most people I know do the buffet which includes naan, salad, and dessert. A good place to go if you are visiting uptown. One of my friend's raves about the mango lassi and it looks pretty good too.
Also the listing is marked as takeout only which is wrong- it's a sit-down restaurant that also does takeout.

Feb 27,2013

Uptown Good Indian food. Since this place opened at Uptown, it has been overrun with customers and very busy with its buffet towards the end of the week (Thursday/Friday lunch). I think they didn't anticipate the number of people who would come considering that there were almost no options (only Noodlebox, and Ho Tong across the way) for eating a real meal when they opened. Cupcakes, Yogurt, and previously the candy store did not offer much in the way of meal options.

The "buffet" is $12.95 + GST. It has about 6 meal options on it..and it varies by day, so the best is took take a stroll by to see what is there before you sit down, if you can do. There is normally a mix of vegetarian and meat options...mostly curries. I would say the food from the buffet is good but I have had better.

It's worthwhile to make a reservation as well for lunch. It's a fairly large space but it's mostly taken up with large piece of furniture. I would guess that they have seating for about 40 people, maybe 45 if the bar is filled, and maybe 50 if more than 4-6 people crowd into the 2 booths on the side. I haven't been for dinner yet but they have an extensive menu which I hope to explore one day soon. I have heard that ordering this way can take some time, so be prepared for that.

I have been for the lunch buffet twice now. Once they had a lovely chicken saag which was very tasty. Butter chicken is a staple, and is not as tender as I'd like. I like spicy food and the level of heat is not too spicy for me. Colleagues of mine who don't like spicy food as a rule are mixed; some thought it was too hot, and some love it, so it could depend on the day, if you eat rice or naan to cut the heat (spicy). The second time I went there, there was also an unusual bowl of what looked like white potato salad...unfortunately for my friend, it was chopped onions masquerading as potato salad, so he had quite a shocker in his mouth. The naan is good and there is always someone around to come by and bring you more if you need it. I enjoyed the rice dessert on the buffet.

The paying part seems to take awhile to get processed but it could be that the people were new when I went there and have caught up by now. They do have two terminals for processing credit cards so that likely speeds things up from the opening days.

Ok. First off it is really hard to find "good East Indian" food on the Island. I'm from Surrey and even there it is hard to find real good food. This place has it. It's a bit pricey but me and my son LOVE the food ! The service was really bad the last time we were here, waited over an hour for our main course. And seeing as we drove an hour to get there ... I was NOT impressed. But we will be back (for take out)
Laura
Placed an order Saturday evening and was told it would be 20 minutes. My husband got there after an extra 10 minutes and was told it was going to be another 20 minutes. That is 30 minutes after the original time and it was for only 2 dishes. When the food got home I was shocked at how little we got for almost $40! Plus only one small rice. Good food, yes, but definitely nothing special and not worth it at all. Won't be going again.

Hi jaclyn !thanks for coming today sorry we could not accommodate you but my staff approached you and your partner.even I offered you seat at the bar until find you a table but you refused it then you said it is your third attempt.since you have tried 3 time and every time it's busy that indicates that please give us a call to make reservation you will have table for sure sorry if you did find that we did not want to accommodate you you are most welcome we would be happy to serve you.it is new and we are working hard to accommodate as much as we have seating capacity .

After hearing so many good things I decides to try this place. We walked in and stood there while staff walked passed. No one acknowledged us at all. Finally we asked if we seat ourselves and the said no we will be with you soon. So after a bit they said they had no tables and.come back in 15min. Maybe if I had been acknowledged to begin with I would've but I think I will wait. I'm sure the food is good but you need to feel welcome as well.

Best Indian Food in town. How can you beat a tasty lunch buffet with the best Indian food in Victoria? The place is actually quite small for the traffic it can generate. Everything tastes authentic and the service is friendly. It will become our place to go for great Indian food.
E. Wallenberg
Disapointed with the buffet. Dishes all tasted similar and had the same color. Seems toned down for the western palate. Nan was decent though but won't be back just for that. Too bad. Had high hopes.
GordRmsy
$16 butter chicken doesn't offer much value. Decided to try this location, first time at the sizzling tandoor. $16 for butter chicken--are you kidding me?! There was barely enough chicken in the dish for two people. Chicken was over marinated, seemed almost processed. Ordered medium heat, came almost mild. There was good flavour in the dish though.

As for the naan. It was good but the backside was over done and burnt, literally black. Please check with your tandoor oven naan cooks. Garlic naan had lots of garlic. Well. done.

Vegetable pakoras were good.
Cat Mclachlan
Best in town hands down! Try the pomegranate curry!
Michael G
Best Indian in Victoria. Both locations are awesome you won't be disappointed. Thought Indian was just ok until I tried the sizzling tandoor. I've eaten at 3 others but no more, this is my only place. Everything is fab. Try the butter chicken and pomegranate curry.
Mr. Jones
Not a bad place to eat! The staff were very friendly and the decor was modern and inviting. I wasn't blown away by the buffet, it seemed like it was a little bland, even for the Wal-Mart crowd. Definitely better than Sabri, but not much better. I expected more. I'm sure I'll go back for another try but not without giving Noodle Box a good hard look first.

Lunch buffet is good value. Lots of choices that change everyday. However, food sits on a heater and food tends to be Luke warm. If food was hotter (temperature wise) it would be better.
