Delicious food, well-balanced flavours and friendly owner. Highly recommend! I had the mafé( peanut stew) with fonio( almost like quinoa/couscous) and some accara fritters. The eggplant dish was tasty too!
The food is absolutely delicious and the service is super friendly. Never in my life have I had such simple ingredients blow my mind like this. The black eyed beans and rice is basically just what it sounds like, but the flavours are eye popping. Plus, the samosas are delightful - sweet potatoes, a
Amazingly delicious! Went here with a friend tonight and we both had the mafe with lamb. The hot sauce was some of the best I've had. I also had some lentil soup, which was fantastic. Ginger juice was super refreshing. The service was great too. Go try it out!
Super friendly staff, amazing food. Have been twice now and not been disappointed. My daughter is a huge fan of their eggplant dish, samosas are incredible and buy some of their hot sauce to go.
Oh the food is wonderful! It's out of the way but so worth it. My particular favourite is the Black Eyed Beans ragout and I really like the Domoda and Yassa Chicken but I see new things on the menu I'll have to try. The veggie samosas are absolute heaven - don't miss them. Wherever you work dow
The food is excellent. The lamb curry was the best I have had in Victoria. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Everything offered seems to be made on site. There are only three tables for eating in but many people came to do take out which was quick. I wiil definitely be back.
If you feel like trying something different, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. Large portion sizes for the price. I had the lamb curry and yassa poulet, which were very flavourful. If you like ginger you'll love the ginger juice. There are also some African foods for sale. I met Bin
Always a delicious and delightful experience. The food is fresh and made from scratch. Friendly staff, and the owner Bintou remembers her customers even if she hasn't seen you in months. I recommend almost all the menu, but my favourites are Yassa au Poulet, and Supu Kanja (also Dakhine - no longer
We had friends over a couple weeks ago. The boys went to get samosas and play pool. They came back saying that the beef samosas were the best they ever had. I went today and would have to agree with them! We also had the lamb shank! Delicious! Would absolutely recommend to anyone we know!
Love the food and the flavors. A great spot to come with a few folks or alone on your lunch break. On Wednesdays they make a delicious veggie lasagna with African spice.
Everything here is so fresh and delicious with all dishes made from scratch. There's something for every palate from spicy lamb curry to gluten free eggplant lasagna!
I have had two good meals here and would definitely recommend it. I would however suggest that you get some extra hot sauce because I think they are trying to take it easy on 'sensitive' western stomachs. LOL.
Great hidden gem with authentic homemade tasty food.
Very good food, amazing flavors and the owner is so sweet. Also do yourself a favour and buy a bottle of the hot sauce for home....it's so good! And vegan friendly!
This is most definitely one of my favourite places to eat out, the food is very authentic and reminds me of good home cooked meal because thats what it is, everything I've ordered has been far above average 5/5 every single time I've come
Amazing service, affordable yet fantastic quality. You've got to check it out if you like exotic food. The owner is such a gem.
The food I got here is absolutely amazing and the chicken mafa really blew my mind away Id give ten stars if I could PS the couscous is amazing too
Loved the black bean soup - had great seasoning. Reminded me of Indian black eyed beans shaak.
